A general run down of your equipment: The same that the Irish military had in the 1950s, as well as some equipment from the old British military such as firearms, boats, planes and tanks.

Nation's history: History was the same as Ireland remained neutral throughout the war. As the Nazis invaded Britain and then nuked York, the Irish saw that it was soon time to invade Northern Ireland if the British society would crumble. However, some IRA members tried this, but were easily defeated by organized Ulster militants, many of whom aided the anti-Nazi resistance in the British mainland. As a reuslt, Northern Ireland remained split from the rest of Ireland.

As the war soon came to it's end while the Nazis were split between the Wehrmacht and the Schutzstaffel, a new political party emerged in Ireland. It's name was "Géillsine Phobail" (People's Allegiance). It was Christian socialist, Irish republican, Irish nationalist, anti-British, social democratic, democratic socialist, market socialist, socialist feminist, anti-fascist and anti-imperialist. It was led by Henry O'Brien, an Irish-American socialist, and probably emerged in the late 1940s. The party's goal was to reunify Ireland and end British influence for good, as well as implementing gender equality and nationalizing the economy.

In 1951, general election was held in Ireland with the GP as one of the six participating parties alongside Fine Gael, Sinn Féin, Irish Labour Party, Clann na Poblachta and Clann na Talmhan. The party gathered support, due to it's ideological goals for the country, and was able to win the election, defeating the five other parties. Now as President, Henry formally renamed the Republic of Ireland to the Irish Republic and made it semi-presidential, which meant he shared power with the Taoiseach and the Tanáiste, both of whom are also members of his party, one being the first female Taoiseach and the other being a former Sinn Féin member. The government had the IRA merged with the Irish Defence Force to form the "Fórsaí Armtha Phoblacht na hÉireann" (Armed Forces of the Irish Republic) with the President as Commander-in-Chief. The new military consisted of the land-based Irish Republican Army (Arm Poblachtach na hÉireann), the sea-based Irish Republican Navy (Cabhlach Poblachtach na hÉireann), the air-based Irish Republican Air Force (Fórsa Eitlíochta Poblachtach na hÉireann) and a military reserve force called the Irish Republican Volunteer Force (Fórsa Deonacha Poblachtach na hÉireann). While the country is still democratic, the Irish Republic seeks to reunite with Northern Ireland and oppose British supremacy. Right now, the party is in it's second term after winning again in 1954. The country is now planning for an invasion of Northern Ireland in order to complete the long-awaited reunification of the Irish nation.

Government Description :

+ Indochina is a monarchy, where the peoples are indoctrinated to believe the monarch as some kind of prophet of God. Underneath the iceberg, the powers to govern the kingdom are laying in the hands of few aristocratic families and mega corporations, these elites called themselves as Overseers. There are 28 Overseers in the Royal Council, but only 10 are directly controlling the kingdom and are visible to the public, others shrouding themselves in darkness. The Chancellor, Commissioner and Administrator are all Overseers.

+ There are three social classes within Indochinese society, they are citizens, civilians and slaves. Citizens are those that granted citizenship by the kingdom after years of community or military services. Civilians are just like citizens, they have same rights, same protections but are excluded from any social and welfare programs. Slaves are criminals that are forcing to provide services for the kingdom until their sentences over, those with more heinous crimes will become test subjects for the military or some inhumane experiments, both are worst fates than execution.

Women Role : Different from many places in the world, the culture of Indochina placing women in slightly position as men, this uniqueness is the result from the matriarchal ancestral heritages of thousand years ago. History : For 82 years, Indochina was under the boot of the France, the nation was exploited and its peoples were abused, many uprisings appeared only to be crushed. Despite the fact that the Frenchs were harsh rulers, after all they did transformed Indochina from backward agrarian state into an industrial superpower in Southeast Asia. In 1940, the Imperial Army of Japan invaded Indochina, the colonial administration was overthrew and replaced with a puppet bureaucracy, quickly, Indochina became the designated source of weaponry fueling the war machine of Japan.

The Japaneses are cruel to anyone they considered as inferiors, they are very willing to commit unimaginable atrocities only to make them feel superior. The peoples were angry, but none ever dare to challenge the might of Imperial Japan, for the brutality of the Kempeitai scared everyone to death. During 1944, the military of Japanese Empire began to weaken as their male populations were dwindling, the Imperial Army was forced to take less aggressive role. By September, many Japanese regiments was withdraw from Indochina to combat the Americans, together with the restoration of the Indochinese monarchy and the establishment of a new puppet Indochinese government on the foundation of the old Japanese administration. The Kingdom of Indochina was born.

During 1946, the Imperial Army began to lose control over large number of territories in China when many Chinese resistance cells revolted. In Indochina, while the Imperial Army was distracted by Chinese rebellions, a successful uprising had overthrew the Indochinese government, although Indochina was still a monarchy, but the powers had been transferred to the hands of the aristocracy, these elites quickly formed an temporary alliance with many Chinese revolutionaries and together fought the Japanese Imperialists.

At this time, the Siamese government was scared, they perceived these sudden insurgencies appeared out of nowhere as national security threats, and sooner or later, their conquered areas will begin to follow this revolutionary pattern, actions must be taken ! In August 1946, Siam declared war on Indochina, Siamese military leaders expected the conflict will last in few months, but they were wrong, the resilience of Indochinese forces had prolonged the war for more than seven months, Siam was exhausted and fallen to Indochinese invaders on June 1947.

After Japan withdrawn all their forces from the Pacific in 1948, Indochina began to rebuilding. The alliance with the Chineses was broken, after Indochinese military seized the area of Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan as an act of retaliation for many border conflicts. What fate is waiting for the kingdom, only times can tell...

Just a few things.

I would contest your political stability being a 4. Though certainly this may be the case for your native Vietnamese population - the Siamese and Chinese occupied peoples would likely not be so compliant.

Second, I would also contest your economic prosperity being a four. Your nation would still largely be illiterate, and the numerous atrocities committed by the Japanese doubtless damaged the nation. At the most, I could see a 3.

This is a similar story for the troop power scale. Are largely illiterate populace would not make for fine soldiers. Realistically, I would predict a two, a three at most.

And of course, all of this would mitigate your military tech. I mean, you shouldn't be at an 80's level of tech when the US itself is only in the 60's.

Semi-Automatic Rifles for the average soldier, automatic weapons and machine guns for a few per platoon. Each soldier carries a Katana and a long knife (but only for Seppuku) as well as a semi-automatic pistol. The Japanese do not have much in the way of tanks, with decent-quality light and medium tanks for infantry support. The Army Air Force, however, is very good and very well equipped, with very good planes used to support infantry action. Artillery is also good, with effective anti-tank and bombardment guns.
NAVY
The Japanese Navy is medium-sized (still rebuilding after the war) but it has the best ships in the world. The Japanese Naval Doctrine focuses on quality over quantity, as so it has proportionately large amounts of battleships and aircraft carriers. Notable ships include the Ise-Class and the Yamato-Class. Japan is constantly updating and upgrading the navy, with the new "Super Yamato" Class being laid down already. Japanese Naval Planes tend to be small, fast, agile and long-ranged, with lesser guns and armor.
OTHER
Japan has some of the world's first jet planes, with the Kikka first flying in 1945. Japan is also completing the Ni-Go Nuclear Program and expects to have an atomic bomb soon. Japanese Marines are very good, and carry automatic carbines, semi-automatic pistols, grenades, a katana, a long knife for Seppuku and light body armour. Pilots wear body armour and carry a pistol and a long knife for Seppuku. Sailors carry pistols and long knives for Seppuku.

Enemies?: America, the USSR

Nation's history: Same as in description and real life. Japan is rapidly rebuilding and re-industrializing after war to prepare for possible further conquest. It is looking for increased relations with Australia, Canada, Indochina and New Zealand and America as it sets its sights on Siberia. In the years since 1950, Japan has quickly clamped down on China and its other holdings, executing rebel leaders and teaching the idea of Asian Co-Prosperity. The Emperor is viewed as a god by most conquered nations, and loyalty is only rising. Japan is still shaky however, taking heavy losses in the war. Before it looks outward, it has begun to look inward, and reinforce itself to create a powerful and impenetrable Empire.
