I don't know what that is.

The abilities of the elements are now divided into specific ranks, making it clearer what everyone can do. There are five ranks. You start at rank 2 for your favored element and rank 1 for the others. So go see what your character can do now. Since this wasn't defined when you all made your characters, if anyone would like to alter their favored/known elements, make a post telling me what you'd like to switch to.

Hmm, makes me sad that a wood-water specialist won't get much else out of going with only two elements. I'll play with the hand I have for now, but I look forward to one day seeing Cadus get Level 2 Phytokinesis. His Level 2 Hydrokinesis is staying though, as it's integral to his backstory as a shepherd.

Well, what's the point if you have nothing to strive towards? ;)

Will double degrees be available. Or can I have Tripetta switch back to Glass. She still needs fire.

Tripetta has cast her 2nd Air spell.

You mean you want to pursue both aether and glass? Sure, but do note that will take a long while.

Yes. Maybe Glass, first....

Well, I'm still sticking with my first choice. Anastasia's going to learn aether, and by extension become a summoner.

Though that might be a little hard considering her relationship with Professor Hastings.

I've made another IC post. I'll try to be patient and give everyone else a chance before posting again. :)

Well, darn it. Should have brought a magnifying glass....

Unless I can create one with Light, I'm out of ideas about the mural.

Was hoping maybe ultraviolet might reveal more, maybe even toward the center, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Next player.

I do! Hence why my post took so long to put up.

Olthar, would the students have been provided maps of the ruins so they know what already been discovered?

Nope. The primary purpose is education, not discovery. Letting the students explore what they want at their own pace is more beneficial.

Ah, so it wasn't a requirement that they discover something new, it was just Professor Driftwood waxing poetic. Thanks for clearing it up.

More or less, yeah. I mean, he's still a magi-scientist and would be thrilled to find a new discovery. :p

Until next Wednesday I'm going to be on vacation. I should be able to post at least once a day until then, but I may be a little spotty. I'll be able to keep up with reading posts easier though.

Hey, Ry, just one thing I'd like the point out: the accent Sam tried to hide would be more of a rural Altomuran accent. It's her adoptive family that has Frinweldian roots, not her. If anything, what she switched to might more closely resemble Frinweldian.

Ah shoot, I’ll edit my post accordingly. My apologies.

Just some musings, not trying to be critical.

As a player, this main hall is sadly too clean and the 'inscription' too complex.

Sadly, I don't believe that going to ultraviolet light will reveal anything like: remnants of paint, blood, etcetera.

The 'alphabet' (glyphs, symbols, whatever) seems to defy logic. Extremely complex symbols? When, in our world, we look at numbers, one was made with one angle, w was made with 2 angles, 3... etcetera. And if the letters are tied to sounds (like phonics of the Phoenician alphabet), how many different sounds did the ancient builders have in their language?

By the description, the 'text' is made of 'words' not longer than four characters.

Stylized 'hieroglyphics'?

Perhaps more clues will present themselves?

I will have to be on the lookout. :)
