Eric broke from the steady demeanor he had held throughout the meeting to look genuinely embarassed, letting a few awkward seconds hang before unsuccessfully trying to clear it with a cough, not quite sure how to return the conversation back to its tracks. He coughed a second time.

"I didn't quite-well, I wasn't really looking to ask that, so much." Another awkward pause. "I was more asking about how you look at these sorts of things ethically and morally, those kinds of personal lines, not talking about the government doing what it does like we were earlier."

It was Anderson turn to look embarrassed, though he laughed at himself a bit, "My mistake, honestly I get the question a lot on the road when some people find out about my stance on the issue."

Anderson took a breath "Its difficult for me at times, on one hand I believe legal protections are important... If a service-member dies their spouse should be able to collect their benefits. On another hand I know full well how hard it is to find the right person to spend your life with, so who am I to dictate who someone loves? The Bible isn't in favor of it obviously but the Bible has a number of laws that by any modern understanding are abhorrent... I am not a biblical scholar, I don't have that answer but I do know that I am taught to treat people with love and respect so thats what I am doing to the best of my ability."

@Kirkland

Running for governor of New York will not be easy without grassroots organizers support. Today my campaign will be announcing local start-up shops. We will be providing free training and meals to everyone who shows up to their local start-up. We will as well be unionizing the campaign, and all employable campaign positions will have a starting pay at $15 dollars, a truly livable wage. This campaign is for the people and will be run by the people with dignity and humanity !! #KirklandForGovernor

@AndersonPA17

Watching the Troy Wilson townhall, hey @GiveJohaGo! before you send more people across the country to crash people's townhalls to ask "Do you support Joh Stansky's Medicare for All plan?" Can you please actually write a plan? Because I still haven't read one. Not just rhetoric, give me more than 'lets put everyone on medicare', HOW would you get it done?

Mullins Press Conference
Shelbyville, Tennessee

A noticeable flock of reporters and others had gathered in the small conference room. Some were standing in front of a camera crew giving their station's viewers a briefing of the situation ahead of a live broadcast, along with some predictions for what was about to transpire. Eventually, the crowd settled, and they were now mostly seated in front of the podium the defendant of the day would be speaking at.

Mullins sighed heavily in the moments leading up to his entrance. His aides reassured him that he'd be able to get the truth out, and that he would have a shot at getting redemption. He knew, however, that the damage had already been done; he was now considered a monster by many of his own constituents. He panicked internally knowing the do-or-die situation he was now thrust into, but he carried on regardless.

With his face contorted into a stern expression, Mullins walked out into the room, and took his place at the podium. He looked over his audience as camera flashes attempted to dominate his vision. After a moment of silence, he began in a very clear tone.

"Thank you to everyone for being here tonight to hear my side of this story. This of course has been very unexpected, and it's been hard for me to accept that this would be happening to me right now, but it's also something that has given me courage. It has given me the courage to stay here right now and expose the truth behind this relationship."

He paused, letting out a heavy breath before continuing. "First of all, I will not deny that I did have a secret relationship with Ms. Davis, and that I had failed to make this public. However, this is already the first falsehood Ms. Davis had told in her testimony. The reality is that early on when we first began going out, Ms. Davis told me that she didn't want to face the pressure of being associated in such a way with a public official, and thus she didn't want our relationship to be public knowledge until she was ready. I of course complied, not thinking there was anything wrong with it. I was the one to ask her out, but we had already both concluded that we had a serious romantic interest in each other, and it was not a one-way relationship. There was absolutely no manipulation involved whatsoever, like Ms. Davis claimed."

"Regarding Noah, this was another instance where Ms. Davis told me she didn't want to be associated in such a way. Yes, shamefully, we did have sex outside of marriage, and I admit that I made a mistake in submit to that temptation. To suggest though that she was drunk during that instance in simply a complete and total lie. This was purely a consensual act between us that was under no influence of alcohol or anything else. I absolutely did not neglect Noah, and I am pissed off and disgusted that she would use our child that we raised together as a weapon to slander my name. The only thing I regret about raising my son is that my job in Congress prevented me from being with him more."

Mullins had begun to visibly shake in anger as his voice rose through every passing word. He took a slow breath to calm himself down, and went on. "There were absolutely no threats, there was no sexual assault, there was no violence. I am disgusted to think about the very words Ms. Davis claims I spoke, and trust me when I say that not one of those things I have ever said to her. I am a flawed man, but I absolutely would not do that to someone I truly loved at the time. There is no sense in any of this."

"Around 2015 or so, we had begun to experience the lows of being a couple. This was a point where we had gotten into numerous arguments, and it had started to become clear to me that this would be impossible to maintain. Not only did I not commit any acts against her, Ms. Davis told me at one point near the end of 2016 that she would accuse me of rape if I didn't quit my job in Congress. This was absolutely the final straw for me, and I told her that this relationship couldn't possibly work out. She had agreed to breaking up and she told me she would be moving to Nashville a few months from then, and at this point we began negotiations for custody of Noah. In my view, this is an act of revenge against me by someone who didn't get their way. This is a completely false allegation that destroys the credibility of real victims of abuse."

'What I hope for most of all is that my son can be safe and happy, and I do not want this sort of thing to damage his life. I hope that this can be cleared up, and the truth can be revealed as time goes on. For now though, I tell everyone that innocent until prove guilty is the model of our justice system. Without this principle, we would be living in a world where millions would be locked up wrongly because of lies told out of spite and hatred. Please be willing to keep your mind open to the possibility that this could be a false allegation meant to destroy someone."

"Moving forward, I want to acknowledge the true victims of these sorts of vile acts to the fullest extent I can. Over the next few months, I will be donating to numerous groups dedicated to supporting and bringing justice for victims of abuse. I will additionally be writing legislation to give more support to victims, and empowering them to speak the truth. It is so important that we help these poor people in whichever way we can, and I will work with my colleagues to make sure we get things done."

"This has been very painful for me to experience, and I am still reeling from the impact of it all. I will be working to fight for custody of Noah from here on out, and I will do whatever I can to support him as much as possible. I will not be taking any questions at this time. Please stay safe, have a good day, and God bless you."

Mullins could be seen nearly crying as he concluded his speech. He began to walk back out of the room, ignoring the babbling press trying to muster a response out of him to their questions.

"Small business crowd has always been my bread and butter, and any of the standard Republican base is welcome... We actually made a real effort to go after farmers because I don't represent many of them currently and I don't have as much experience working with them. Luckily we have had great success. I have had some issues with the gun lobby, i've always been a second amendment supporter but i'm not an enthusiastic gun owner... I didn't grow up hunting or anything and I dont know much about guns on a personal level."

"Outside of normal Republican groups.... The blue collar union towns of the rust belt... they are ready to flip red. I launched my campaign in Erie for a reason. They feel utterly abandoned by the democratic party and their emphasis on identity politics... what was once the backbone of the democrats is ready to go over to our party. So what I really need are community leaders and disaffected democrats in union towns. Morton in California? He's probably the most pro-union Republican their is and his endorsement could help with some insiders."

"Sinclair would have been good too, but him joining with Kramer and Williams in Norfolk has... well made me uncomfortable to say the least."

Heritage March, Norfolk City Hall, Norfolk, Virginia
July 15th
(Route)
Hookstraten

The March had picked up speed. The blockade-created pathway across St. Paul’s Boulevard connecting Union Street and a road north of Waterside Drive was crossed by the protestors. The coounterprotestors could be heard very close by in the distance, just down St Pauls by the Courthouse, but not exactly seen. The police had created quite a wall.

Michael Harrison
Ronald Reagan National Airport

Image

Harrison had lost over 20 pounds since the start of his exercise regime but was still seated uncomfortably in a coach seat. He wasn't a fan of flying but his job made it vital for him to do so frequently. He was off to begin recruiting candidates to run for office.

Harrison and his team hand given every race in 2018 a rank from 1-5 with 5 being the most vital to win. He fully expected the Progressives to cause bad losses across the board but he did believe they could still win a few key victories.

LEVEL 5 PRIORITY

GUBERNATORIAL

Pennsylvania- Brantley was running to win the governorship in his own right, it was an rust belt state... at least in part and if his plans for Vilseck were to move forward having his home state vote to continue his policies would be a big help.

New Mexico- Cassandra Hanlon was going to be out at the end of the term but victories in the purplish state that could help capitalize on the increasingly vital Hispanic vote could bring long term gains to the party. Emphasis on a military candidate could also be interesting.

New York- The Republican Governor was vulnerable in the blue state and could be an easy win. The progressives might interfere with that in New York City though so a candidate with progressive credentials must be recruited.

Rhode Island- The do nothing CT governor is a Republican and is unlikely to run again. After Denisevich and the current one, and considering the recent special election loss due to vote splitting CT is likely ready to reconcile.

Virginia- Clearwater is a strong contender to revitalize the party with a win in a swing state, will also shore up the governor bench and stand out as one of the few black governors.

SENATORS

Pennsylvania- MacKay had potential but it has been squandered, must consult Vilseck on a replacement. Someone with military credentials and ties to the african american community might get Chandler's support.

Wisconsin- Blythe due for re-election, has a strong chance of re-election and is unlikely to face serious competition from progressives due to credentials.

Connecticut- a do over from the special, potentially endorse Singh as a peace offer to the progressives. Left will likely be energized.

Nevada- Sunshine is incredibly vulnerable, shes trying to work the center and has made no one happy. Sandoza running for the seat is best case scenario and great news for the party winning hispanic voters.

First up he was flying to New Mexico to try meet with a few potential candidates...

Emberton walked in wearing his sunday best and was barely able to resist shaking his head as he saw Bello flirt with some young women in the coffee shop. He simply smiled and walked to the man "Reverend, its a pleasure to meet you."
