Jim Justice is not in a good mood when he goes out to address the people and the press in front of his mansion. The legislature voted against his Gophercare and gave him a bill without it and he is deciding that he will not stand for it and this will be his hill where he will not budge. Being so bold is a strange feeling and sends little tingles all over his body. As he goes to speak on the front lawn his hair is messy and pointing in all directions in a devil may care way like he just got out of bed which is mostly accurate because he has. More people would probably notice the hair second after the fact that he is wearing a bathrobe wrapped around him up to the podium stand. He left the gates open last night so there are plenty of people and press on the lawn who are actually making a mess that he will have to pick up later. But now he has his speech.
"People of Minnesota, our legislature is not doing right by us. They are not doing right by us because they are not doing right by the most important of us and that is the kids! I was being a very reasonable and nice Governor because I said that I would sign what the legislature chose if it was not too bad as long as it had Gophercare but they took the Gophercare out of the bill! I was sent a bill that does not have Gophercare and if it does not have Gophercare then it will not have my support! I am vetoing this bill and telling them that they have to get it right. Because the deadline is passed now I am making a special session for them and this time they need to get it right. They should act like adults for the kids! Gophercare is not negotiable. The best state with the best kids must have the best healthcare for them with no exceptions! Jim Justice will stand for the kids. Thank you."
He nods strongly to all of them and then goes back inside his house.
