“It won’t be cheap, but we can utilize existing infrastructure in Jersey and refurbish abounded rail in the northeast of my state. We utilize private investment and private public partnerships, get a federal rants and it’s doable, plus I plan on privatizing the rail so that will help matters. As for economic benefit it would be massive, we can look at Portland Maine booming after their line to Boston... NYC is three times the size and we know how massive the demand is, 20k people travel the route daily. New York and Jersey would also benefit from the increased travel.”

Rep. McCroskey's District Office,
Greenpoint, New York

"Well, honesty is the best policy." John replied, smiling faintly, still stressed, albeit slightly less so after recieving a seemingly positive response. Taking a sip of his water for the second time, his hands shook less visibly.

"I think I should also add that I have already contacted a grassroots organization to explore the possibility of my candidacy."

Mayor's Office, Seattle, Washington

One last attempt to reel me into the Progressive Party, well that won't be happening today. Arlen thought.

"That is quite true Ms. Walton, but as I have previously stated, I am not ready to join the Progressive Party yet. But thank you again for the offer." Arlen smiled

"Scranton to New York is widely believed to be the best option, I've consulted with experts many times. Yes but as part of a greater and much needed infrastructure investment by the fed it could happen. At the very least we will get something."

"Last official estimate was in 2006, the project would cost $551 million. But honestly it was lowballed, probably would cost $1 billion today."

Jason Samara Campaign Stop #8
Chelsea, Suffolk County

Image

The number 8 had always been Samara’s lucky number and his eighth campaign stop, it wasn’t the largest city but it was one of only 3 cities that had a majority minority population. Stevenson was many things, but a minority she was not and while Samara identified as an African American he was born in Puerto Rico which would endear him somewhat with the hispanic community.

Jason took the rail from Boston’s North Station to Chelsea as was his custom, to a small crowd of supporters who he shook hands with and greeted. From back in his volunteer days he had worked with the Community Action Programs Inter-City, Inc. a non-profit focused on serving the needs problems and concerns of those in poverty, he returned there for a visit and photo op with the young volunteers giving a brief speech about his life and commitment to public service. It was his hope that many of these volunteers would become foot-soliders for his senate campaign.

At the end of the day Samara gave a speech to a large crowd of supporters.

Image

“Good Morning! What a crowd, it’s really an honor to be here thank you all for coming and for the warm welcome.”

“I’m Congressman Jason Samara, I am a man raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up walking the Freedom trail, I grew up watching the South End of Boston go from dangerous and remote in the 80s flourish, I grew up jogging along the Charles river and rooting for the Red Sox. But I was born to two loving parents in Puerto Rico, my father was an immigrant and a psychiatrist, my mother was a social worker who devoted her life to helping people get back on their feet. When I was 2 my father passed away in an car accident and my mother took me to Boston to live with her mother. Times were hard, money was short, we relied on family, community and at times the government to get by. I am a product of public school, I grew up hearing stories of my family that fought for civil rights, of my uncles that marched next to Doctor King, who stood on the bridge at Selma, who marched on Washington and I took that to heart.”

“I dedicated my life and schooling to community outreach and service, I married my high school sweetheart and we have beautiful daughters. I was elected to Congress in 2010 becoming the first African American to represent the state, I have fought for welfare reform, consumer protections, providing affordable college and healthcare, LBGTQ rights, a woman’s right to choose and housing reform. I proudly stand by the work I have done for this state. As a Congressman I proudly voted against the RLSA, WAC and BBA. My parents and my grandmother are no longer with us today, but I know they look down on our work with pride.”

“My last name is Samara, a name that comes from half a world away. In America though your name should be no barrier to success, no matter your name or circumstances of birth, the color of your skin, no matter who you love or how you choose to worship... America should be a place where none of that matters. I stand here now proud of my heritage, knowing that I am just a part of the greater American story. I have a vision for America where there are no barriers to success - no matter what color you are, no matter where you're from, no matter how much money you have.”

“Thats where I come from, not let me tell you what I stand for. I stand for no PACs just people, I have pledged to no longer accept donations from corporate PACs, this is just the first step in Comprehensive Campaign Finance Reform that is necessary for our growing Democracy. I stand for the scientific consensus that Climate Change is real, and that we must take steps to build a clean energy economy to make fuel and energy cheaper, better for the environment and free of our dependency on foreign countries.”

“I stand for those who serve are nation in uniform, and making sure that when they return to civilian life we are there to support them in the challenges they face. I stand for Expanding medical care and support services for our service members is a moral duty.”

“I stand for Universal Healthcare, Health Care is a Human Right, a moral responsibility. I will fight to make sure that insurance companies no longer turn people away for pre-existing conditions or discriminate against women. I will work hand in hand with our governor to craft and support a healthcare plan that covers all of Massachusetts so it can continue to be the national leader in coverage and innovation.”

“I stand for Equal Pay for Equal Work. An economy that works for everyone, a $15 minimum wage, affordable childcare, parental leave. No one who works full time should live in poverty and its time big business and the 1% paid its fair share.”

“I stand for LGBTQ equality, I go to Boston’s Pride Parade every year, I marched in DC and spoke on LGBTQ rights and progress. I will stand against any attempt to take away our progress, LGTBQ rights are human rights and we need an equality act to ban discrimination against LGBTQ individuals in employment, housing and other areas.”

“I stand for A God Given Right to Safety, the Minutemen Act showed that Congress cares more about handouts to Gun Manufacturers than safety for our people, and across the country children are paying the price. Gun Violence plagues our communities every day and as your Senator I will fight back against the epidemic, thoughts and prayers are not enough we need action to take dangerous weapons off our streets and out of the hands of dangerous individuals.”

“For most folks, one income isn't enough to raise a family and send your kids to college. Sometimes, two incomes aren't enough. It's harder to save. It's harder to retire. You're doing your part, you're meeting your responsibilities, but it always seems like you're treading water or falling behind.”

“I’m tired of waiting, waiting a decade for a pay raise while CEO pay is soaring, i’m tired of waiting for Republican Senators to act while more Americans fall into poverty, i’m tired of waiting for them to realize that their are kids with the knowledge and the drive to go to college and change the world but can’t because its not affordable. I’m tired of waiting and that’s why I am seeking the Democratic nomination for Senator of the great state of Massachusetts.”

“We, the people of Massachusetts, the birthplace of the American Revolution, Birthplace to presidents and patriots, heroes of war and peace, a place of science and philosophy, a state that has ALWAYS pushed America forward. And we know the way forward don’t we? We know how to make our economy stronger and fairer, how to make our communities safer and education more affordable, how to make our retirement security and our healthcare the gold standard.”

“We know that we should not abandon our public education to benefit private and religious schools, but we must strengthen our public education. We know that inclusion and diversity make us stronger, that we must encourage new Americans to come here to build better lives. We know that we must protect members of the LGBTQ+ community, we know that ALL are created equal and must be protected as such under the law!”

“We start right here, right now by talking about the economy. An economy that works for too few at the expense of the many. A rigged game where wall street wins and main street loses, when bankers rig interest rates so you pay more for a house or a car thats a rigged game. When companies use tricks and loopholes to avoid taxes and don’t pay their fair share? Thats a rigged game, and when the top 1% has more than the bottom 99% IT’S A RIGGED GAME!”

“Close the Loopholes, lets tell American companies that if they want to benefit from our laws and our protection they need to bring those profits home. We need a fairer economy because the market the republicans claim is ‘free’ is just a game with loaded dice. We have seen wall street billionaires declare bankruptcy a half dozen times and get bailed out, but someone who can’t afford to pay a speeding ticket goes to jail. IT’S A RIGGED GAME. “

“Since 1978 CEOs have gotten paid over 900% more, workers are 65% more productive and they get 9% more. When America’s workers play a rigged game we all lose, when unions get busted and workers can’t organize? We lose... and when you don’t give people a livable wage we all lose. Basic decency and sound economics both bring you to the same conclusion: IT’S A RIGGED GAME thats why it’s time to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.”

“But if we are really going to create permanent lasting change we MUST support education. Now i’m not supporting teaching our kids how to better answer a multiple choice question on a test. I want to build real strong communities around schools, have teachers who are well-trained motivated and LOVE what they do. I want schools and teachers that really prepare our children not just for college but for life. We need to treat teachers with the respect they deserve and like the professionals they are!”

“The average student graduates with over $35,000 in debt, I want to make sure that every student gets the opportunity to go to college and that they can go to community college for free and when a student borrows money to go to college they get low rates.”

“The ACA was not perfect, it could have been improved BUT I would take the ACA over having tens of millions without healthcare, without a net, where the only time they see a doctor is in the emergency room. We must continue to improve healthcare, making sure coverage is truly universal and held to the highest standards. I will work hand in hand with our governor to get the best possible healthcare after the RLSA until we can finally repeal it.”

“Everybody deserves affordable healthcare, nobody should have to choose between filling a grocery cart or a prescription jar. The Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other programs that allow people to retire with dignity, that gives survivor benefits to their partners and families…. These are programs I will fight tooth and nail to defend, to make sure Social Security is there for you. It’s the least we can do.”

“As we make peoples healthcare secure let us also secure our communities…. Mass Shootings capture headlines, but daily tragedies we see in towns and cities across the nation are just as tragic. Thirty Thousand Americans are killed by gun violence every year, the madness must end. I have given my thoughts and prayers to victims too many times but as great man once said ‘when you pray move your feet’. We need to move, we need to realize that we have options and ways to bring down gun violence without dismantling the second amendment which I respect. Ways to ensure criminals, terrorists and other dangerous individuals don’t get firearms. This is not about hunters, this is not about responsible gun owners looking to protect their family… This is about realizing that there is no good reason to own an assault rifle. If you buy a gun, no matter where or when, you should get a background check. The gun lobby owns many in Congress but they do not own the conscience of the American people.”

“As your Senator I will fight to ensure that no one who works full time will live in poverty, I will fight to raise the minimum wage, get better work scheduling, get paid family and medical leave, I will work towards giving every kid in America an opportunity to go to college without being buried under a mountain of debt, and for the debt that is owed now I will fight to make that burden easier.”

“As your Senator I will fight for retirement with dignity, an expansion of Social Security, Strengthening of Medicare and Retirement accounts, and to reform the ACA.”

“As your Senator I will fight against attempts to strip control of a woman’s body away from her. Defending a woman’s right to choose, supporting education and easier access to contraception is vital to promoting sexual health.”

“We need stronger laws to govern Wall Street, we need to keep the 1% accountable and when banks get too big they need to be broken up, the people of this country and this state deserve someone who will hold their feet to the fire and make sure they are accountable. We deserve someone who will support trade deals that don’t just favor the big corporations, trade deals that don’t leave you in the dirt and left behind as the gap between rich and poor widens and the middle class disappears.”

“In too many places the poor are getting poorer, families who need help will find essential services cut, they will find healthcare cut and they need to ‘pull themselves up by their bootstraps’ while the boot of the 1% is on their back. Americans trapped in poverty, no hope of a job or education, many turning to drugs and gangs. We as a nation cannot abandon them, and as your Senator I swear I will fight for them.”

“Call it ‘trickle down’, call it ‘supply side economics’ but its the same story, the shining city is for the privileged few not America as a whole. But democrats have always fought for a different vision, a vision of a nation where we pursue new frontiers in education, healthcare, and prosperity, a nation where we all move forward to that new frontier together, where no-one is left behind.”

"To this end I want to reform and improve the Earned Income Tax Credit, and the Child Tax Credit. My goal is to make work pay, the EITC and Child Tax Credit is great for increasing employment and labor force participation, but they can be improved. I want to make the Child Tax Credit fully refundable for families with children under 17, increase the phase in rate to 50 for families with children under the age of 6. This could lift over a million people out of poverty."

“Our nation, our republic will not work if we do not get out there and fight for what we believe in. Politicians from the President to the local dog catcher need to hear from you, they hear plenty from the 1% and Wall Street, from Super-Pacs and giant corporations and those who can fill their pockets and campaign chests. If we don’t speak now, make our voices heard, our politicians will ONLY work for the wealthy few.”

“So while I am asking for your vote, but more importantly asking for your engagement. I hope that when election day comes you put a check mark next to my name on a ballot, but should you decide that you disagree I hope that you still get involved. Raise the level of debate and discourse, demand the highest standards not just from your elected officials but from those who elect them. Do not take your vote for granted, your country needs you, your nation needs you, and those who do not have the chance to vote need you.”

“Our state has a strong Irish tradition, and the Irish tell the story of a man reaching the gates of heaven asking to be let in, St. Peter says ‘of course just show us your scars’ to which the man replies ‘Scars? I have no scars’ St. Peter says ‘what a pity, was there nothing worth fighting for?”

“In the days to come we will accomplish much, we will push our state and our nation continually forward, but no progress worth making has ever been made with self sacrifice, personal suffering and sometimes even death. Find your truth, fight for it, pray and move your feet, show others the path forward by blazing the trail.”

“We are STRONGER TOGETHER, that means everyone who works hard has an equal shot at America’s promise, at joining the middle class and having a better life. We are STRONGER TOGETHER yet so many of our corporate and political leaders seem content to pursue their own self interest, leaving so many hard working Americans struggling and without a fair shot. So lets not give up now, abandon our dreams to dark apathy we are STRONGER TOGETHER and we can achieve the American Dream.”

“Together we can accomplish great things, I pray you join me, I pray you stand and march forward with me, and one day we will have built a country worthy of the principles we were founded on. Thank you, God bless America and God bless the Great State of Massachusetts.”

Congressman Glen Anderson Radio Interview
1250 AM WPGP Pittsburgh, PA THE ANSWER

Image

Anderson’s rally had been very effective raising his statewide profile, and his forces were growing throughout the state. However he needed to expand his profile with politically active Conservative voters likely to vote in state primaries, as such conservative talk radio was an excellent outlet to accomplish such.

Arriving in Pittsburgh, Glen had been scheduled on the Gregory Steinbeck show on AM 1250 THE ANSWER. It was drivetime, 4pm with millions in the region on their commute home, this interview had a large reach in western PA. He had been on the show before, as he represented the 17th congressional district but never as a candidate and Steinbeck had gotten on his case for not being conservative enough in the past. It would be a tough interview but Anderson was confident he could get his message out

Steinbeck: Welcome back to the Greg Steinbeck Show on 1250 AM THE ANSWER, I’m Greg Steinbeck, coming up later we discuss the President’s newest supreme court nominee after the disaster of the Rossi nomination but right now we are joined by Congressman and candidate for governor Glen Anderson, welcome Congressman.

Anderson: Its a pleasure to be here Greg.

Steinbeck: Lets jump right in, you recently unveiled a proposal for a rail system between Scranton and New York City, is that the best use of an already strained budget? Especially where transportation is concerned?

Anderson: It’s a tall order sure, but its a great investment to make in the future of our state. It will help 20,000 commuters going to New York and Jersey a day, Interstate 80 is basically a parking lot every day… its by far the worst commute in the country. Its going to be a massive economic boost that our state badly needs, I also want some more frequent trains between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg heck right now its only one round trip per day. The demand is much higher.

Steinbeck: Amtrak and the state have proven again and again incapable of managing the current system, why should we believe and expansion would fix that?

Anderson: It won’t, its a big issue that won’t be solved by throwing money at the problem. We are going to pursue an agenda of privatization and private public partnerships, lease transportation. Its an excellent and long overdue idea that will bring much needed efficiency, plus we are going to make it a much better investment for private individuals by lowering taxes and burdensome regulations.

Steinbeck: Speaking of privatization, the legislature is going to be taking a big swing at liquor privatization. You support that right?

Anderson: Of course, the liquor control board is outdated, inefficient and just all around bad. Privatization and deregulation is going to bring our state a boatload of capital. We’ve seen in Washington State and Canada how privatization leads to increased employment, plus it’ll help end border bleed and finally the public OVERWHELMINGLY favors privatization.

Steinbeck: You voted in favor of the Minutemen Act, as governor would you pursue more gun rights legislation?

Anderson: I stand firmly by the second amendment. My first priority is securing schools and vulnerable targets, we need school resource officers right now and they need to be armed. Our state has a strong tradition of supporting the second amendment and I’m going to continue that, I will not strip people of their guns. However we need to look at what we can do to stop these mass shootings and improve background checks, as well as crackdown on illegal firearms. We can do better and be more secure.

Steinbeck: Care to elaborate?

Anderson: Something I want to pursue is a bill that would force people in Pennsylvania with a domestic violence ruling against them to more quickly surrender their guns. Right now our background check system is full of holes, its far too easy for those with violent crimes in their background to get firearms because the system needs to be fixed. I don’t want to expand background checks I just want to fix the system we have that lets those that no one things should have guns, have guns.

Steinbeck: Education Savings Accounts are central to your campaign, as governor how would you support school choice?

Anderson: Two-Thirds of voters support school choice, it cuts across racial, economic, political and generation backgrounds and support is growing. Everyone knows its a good idea, the only people against it are those with a financial stake in it, mainly the leadership of the teachers union. Geography should not be destiny for our kids, they should go to the best schools possible and school choice gives use the highest quality education for our investment.

The first step is expanding our existing tax credit scholarship and education scholarship accounts… then i’m going to work with the legislature to make a massive school choice initiative. Eventually I want to expand our school choice programs by at least 50,000 students.

Steinbeck: Recently the Auditor General issued a blistering 107 page report detailing the failures of the Scranton School board, is school choice how we fix the issue?

Anderson: Michael Scott was not the worst manager in Scranton, what this report alleges is criminal or it should be. They wasted tens of millions of dollars over the past decade and the kids suffer. Local families have little to no options to escape districts like this, thats why we need to need school choice. So kids can escape failing schools. The most immediate, transformative way to help families in Scranton and throughout Pennsylvania is to raise the limits on Pennsylvania’s existing tax credit scholarship programs.

Steinbeck: Almost 13% of our states population lives in poverty, in Philadelphia is a quarter of the population, in Pitt a full third of the region lives at or near poverty. How do we lift our state out of this hole?

Anderson: Better education, Occupational Licensing reform, a more favorable tax environment for businesses and individuals, and reform to welfare programs. I haven’t talked about welfare reform as much but I want to follow the example of other states and have work requirements for welfare. Food stamps especially, requiring work from healthy able adults even just 20 hours a week has incredible results. Arkansas for example eliminated work waivers for health individuals that receive food stamps. Enrollment declined by 70% and the individuals who left tripled their income in two years. It saved taxpayers almost $3 million and increased revenue by $2 million. Today, former food stamp recipients are better off, employers are better off, and taxpayers are better off because Arkansas decided to prioritize work in the food stamp program.

Steinbeck: New Jersey made national headlines recently with the legislature deadlocked over healthcare, how would your governorship avoid similar difficulties?

Anderson: The legislature in Jersey is being ridiculous, they lost by one vote and now they are facing a shutdown. I fully support Governor Hotchkiss chiding them for being petty.
As for healthcare, Health care bills are too complex, choices are too restrained, and insurance premiums and out-of-pocket costs are climbing faster than wages and tax revenue. Health care markets could work more efficiently, and Americans could receive more effective, high-value care if we remove and revise certain federal and state regulations and policies that inhibit choice and competition.

I’ve spoken at length supporting nurses and specifically allowing certified nurse practitioners from opening independent practice. We need to fix licensing of medical professionals so a doctor in Ohio can easily practice in Penn using telemedicine o at least make licensing quicker. We need to allow healthcare networks, and not restrict innovation.

Healthcare reform is not any only issue, there is no magic wand… its a million little changes and about a dozen big ones. As we move forward on Healthcare we need to make sure we bring everyone to the table and listen to every idea. We need to put our people first.

Steinbeck: Our states tax bill is one of the highest in the country, fourty-five hundred per person, the average Pennsylvanian loses 10% of their income to state and local taxes. You pledged to not raise or impose new taxes as governor, will you lower taxes too?

Anderson: We are 46th in job growth and 45th in income growth, our unemployment is over the national average, our population isn’t growing because so many are fleeing the state. We need to lower and reform taxes and I WILL do it. The principles that will guide it are simplicity, fairness, certainty and relief. The code is too complex, we need transparency so our citizens don’t need to spend all their time and energy doing taxes, we need to avoid conferring privilege to an special interest groups as much as possible, we need entrepreneurs to know we are not going to arbitrarily impose new rules or tax increases… predictability is a huge help to small business, and finally we need to pursue tax reform not just to raise revenue.

I firmly believe in Supply side economics and that growing the tax base through lowering taxes will raise revenue in the long term. But that shouldn’t be the primary motivation for reform. People need real financial relief on every income level. Every dollar taxed is a dollar people can’t use to meet their own needs.

But if you want specifics, we need to reduce the personal income tax rate to pre 2003 levels to start, and reduce the corporate tax rate to 7% which will make us competitive with surrounding states. We pay for this by ending corporate welfare which costs Pennsylvania taxpayers $850 million a year.

We also need to broaden the sales tax base to lower sales tax rates. 23 different goods or services are exempted from sales taxes, those related to healthcare should remain exempted but other goods and services like candy, spectator sports admission tickets, and parking could be unexempted. Doing this would allow us the lower the sales tax rate.

But importantly as we lower taxes we also need to control spending, Kansas launched a tax relief package but exploded spending and now they have massive problems. North Carolina reduced taxes AND controlled spending, and now they are reaping the rewards, that’s the example to follow.

Steinbeck: Congressman thank you for your time.

Patricia Waterfield Rally, Syracuse, New York

Progressive For New York

"The Progressive Primaries are arriving soon, and I'd like to convince you why I am the appropriate candidate to gain the mantle of the Progressive Party in New York. I have a strong record of standing up to the liberal values we all hold dear, and I am no immigrant to the Progressive Party. While I respect immigrants to the party, the record has shown, natives of the old Green Party and now the Progressive Party perform better. I've never been a member of the Democratic Party in my life, the Democratic Party is a detriment to the progress of this nation. If the Democratic Party doesn't hold the mantle of New York values, then the Progressive Party will. I worked with the Green Party since the very beginning. I was there at its' founding. I have boldly stood as a Green Party candidate in Saratoga Springs, and I was punished for it. But, I have always told myself to be true to myself. If I did not run as a Green, I wouldn't have been running where my heart was. And my heart was with the Green Party and it is now with the Progressive Party. I was also hear for the transformation, turning the Green Party into a competitive superstar. During the 2016 Campaign, I was a ground organiser for the brilliant Mayor Walton in New York. We need to elect honest progressives, and I believe I am one.

I stand up with our minority communities, always. You'll never miss me at a Gay Pride celebration. My commitment to the LGBT community is strong. We need to protect the right to marry from the President and Peter Amaras. These simple notions are under attack by the hard right, but I will fight them tooth and nail. You know you're doing something positive when you're attacked by Kramer and Lotto over twitter. They represent a message of hate, this won't bode well with New York, which is a melting pot of people. A vote for me is a vote for better rights for the LGBT community, whether that be in the realms of adoption, marriage, transitioning and more. I will also stand up for the women of this state. Send a real message that sexual harassment in the workplace is not right and it needs to be ended. What I also want to end is the wage disparity between men and women. That is a simple inequality that the leadership of this nation is refusing to talk about. I want to talk about it, and more, I want to do something about as your Senator. And let's not forget our latino and hispanic community in New York. They belong in a special place in my heart. I was attacked by Senator Kramer for including spanish in my tweet, ridiculous! My husband, Carlos, is originally from Mexico, and he had to go through numerous hardships just to live here. I will stand up for the Hispanic community and make it safer for well-meaning refugees to arrive in the United States. I will vehemently fight any attempt of a wall, like Kramer is proposing.

Another important attribute of my campaign is stopping this climate catastrophe. The United States of America needs to live up to our commitments we made in Paris and start tackling climate change. I'll make that a top priority as Senator for New York, to fight the scourge of polluting coal mining. We need to begin the transition process away from these energy types, and moving towards renewable energy sectors. One of the most promising new technologies is solar, but also wind and hydraulics are possible alternatives. I want to make New York a hub for renewable energy research by giving grants to companies looking to research this technology. We'd see a great expansion in white collar jobs and opportunities. But, to get back on topic, we need a massive re-jigging of the energy sector. We need to pour money into subsidising solar panels on people's houses, subsidising electric cars, and subsidising solar and wind farms across New York and the U.S. Recent surveys have found that these forms of electricity are cheaper for the average person. This is a new frontier that I want New York to lead in. We can prevent a climate tragedy and provide cheaper energy for the people of New York. Cheaper energy for the people of Syracuse."

Chairwoman Lilyana Wolf (R-ME)
J.P. Randy Cramp (R-TX)

Fantastic turnout from the good people of Iowa City for our rally for the Great Conservative Revolution and the protection of the unborn! Poor Marlowe's paltry rally for unlimited abortion never stood a chance.

The Iowa Senator's positions are dangerous and discriminating, not only at the reproductive rights of women but even to those of the LGBTQ+ community. He argues against the rulings of the courts, shouting that they are 'biased'. No Senator, they are following the letter of law and not bowing to your sexist and homophobic views.

@BeamMeUpScotty

Instead of experienced judges making accurate rulings, he now stands in the Senate continuing to support President Reed's unprepared and inexperience nominees for the highest court in the land. He rejects experience and the like in favor of partisan "judges" who will push a backward agenda onto this country.

It is clear that while Sen. Amaras may have at one point believed in his Conservative Revolution, it has quickly devolved into nothing more but extreme and discriminating agendas. His measures have one goal...returning this country to a time when women had few rights, when LGBTQ+ communities were closeted, and when the rich, hateful businessmen of America like him could buy off Congress.

No more Senator. Equality and freedom shall once again ring throughout this country when progressive lawmakers return to this country's capital to help undo your dangerous string of outdated and bigoted laws. Iowa will shed itself of your radicalism soon enough and it will make all the difference. They will make their voices heard and I know it will overpower yours.

The record of the current judicial nominee is very troubling. Her history at the Alliance Defending Freedom is worrying. While it advocates for religious liberty, it manipulates this fundamental right into a bigoted privilege for people across this country to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people. They seek to reverse same-sex marriage and right for all people to be treated equally.

Appointing such a candidate to the highest court in the land is dangerous and will only show that there are partisan agendas at the highest level of the Republican government to turn our experienced and tenured Supreme Court into a radical, inexperienced, and agenda pushing court under the mask of "supporting women". Something the Republican Party has hardly ever done and something that will not change with one appointment.

New York Waterfield has good idea but bad execution for energy. Tax credits for electric cars and rooftop solar, very intelligent plan! Help consumers and environment.

Republicans who voted against the emergency bill to protect benefits should be ashamed of themselves. We in Washington believe in caring for our neighbors and they do not represent our values.

Ms. Waterfield's promise of supporting alternative energy is nothing but a ploy to throw the working American onto the streets and to deprive them of employment and a wage.

Furthermore, Ms. Waterfield if elected to represent the great people of New York State is putting her misguided trust into a unproven and fairly new technology at a time when we must continue to use tried and proven resources.

Batavia Rally
America, New York State, Batavia, Richmond Memorial Library

As a modest crowd gathered inside the museum venue, a bundle of people consisting of mostly Conservative voters who shed some interest in the election, Lenny and his team talked back yard next to two rough tress. The wind howling as they spoke on their matters.
"Big deal, so what. You get rid of him and you win, it's an easy choice considering he's just ya knaw: an old goy." An agitated campaigner spoke to Lenny, his condescending tone already wearing down Lotto's patience.
"It's easy on the outside but my gut don't allow me. It feels wrong, he got this whole messth started after the endorsement. Me jumping ship, where'sth my dignity." Lenny mildly responded.
"Paussy. Paussy move Lotalot, you need to do it at some point if ya want to live till the general. Spin it, don't say screw him but say screw him. Feel me?" he lit a cigarette with the help of a bald local security 'enforcer' on minimum wage, who conveniently held out a Bic lighter.
"You know what" the campaigners eyes widened at the seemingly approaching surrender of Lenny "Screw you" they again dropped in displeasement, following Lenny's feet as they entered the building of the rally. In the still outside air the echo of inside speakers could be heard, in a heavy muffled pulses.

Lotto entered the front of the encompassing hall, while the speakers began to play America the beautiful. He swiftly extended one hand to his chest during the duration of the song, with some of the audience either lip syncing or singing to it. After the song finished he waved to the gathering, holding a wireless microphone to his mouth.
"Great to be here people of Batavia, to speak hand on heart to the people that will be voting: in the primary, in the general and in the not so distant future. You should know what you're getting." He sniffled.

"It mattersth to me beyond words what you want for our great State, what you believe in, the matters of your community. I'm not here to preach from an ivory tower, I'm here to talk about this campaign. There are people that would like to blind you, people that simply go around spewing political jargon in only the cities where it's efficient for them. They just drive down, ready made script in hand and put on a puppet show. I don't do that, I don't even want to give these very bad people the time of day but you might know them." He began to drift nearer to the crowd "We got candidates thinking they own your vote, thinking that you owe them. I shouldn't even call them candidates, they're glorified beggars. A nasty woman, very nasty, called Marli and she wasth a literal stripping beggar. Beggar called Torres as well, who'sth begging for a second chance after he called a woman who served our country well a member of ISIS." Some in the crowd gave out a laugh.

"This is no longer a state thing, it'sth simply not. This is a matter of our pride. It simply isth a matter of what we stand for: Prosperity, or stripping our New York and GOP to a foul mouthed rapper. A woman who stripped her way through college, didn't do it the good old hard way, thinksth she can win by stripping ideologically to everyone and anyone she can. That's not how us Conservativesth do it, that's not the American dream and that is not dignified. I will strive to work hard as Senator, I won't back down on the issues that matter for you. As Senator I will pass legislation, after legislation, after legislation for all the main points of my manifesto. That is my ethos Batavia, hard work."

"That's not all they have to offer." He raised his eyebrows "Watch out, Marli is going to completely eradicate taxesth. She'll just wave her little wand and all taxes will simply go." He shrugged while some in the audience gave a laugh "Crazy good idea, I know, just get rid of taxes. If she wants to promise, essentially, nothing she can go ahead. Instead, I will focus on you and what is best for great places like this around our great state. I will focus on the economy, on the business which directly affect you. Trust me, while we have Progsth, Dems and the entire candidate lot discussing twitter letters in their ralliesth you got the ask the question if they actually have policy. Crazy cat lady called Waterfield just talks about me all the time, it's Lotto Lotto Lotto constantly ringing in your ear. How can her base even listen to her, it's just a big slander fest. Enough attention to them, they've got enough of it already." He became much more relaxed as his tension from before eased into the faces of the crowd.

"Let's talk economy, the New York economy is strangled. Here we are so tough on businessth, so tough and rough, that they simply don't want to touch us. That's not our fault, that's not my fault, that is the direct fault of the Democratsth. Listen, we need lower - corporate - tax - ratesth. It's simply true, if we want entrepreneurs doing what they do best we need to minimise those start up taxes. We get small new businesses and we instantly get jobsth, and lots of them. We need to stop our debt, how can we even be competitive when we are in debt. It's simple economics, simple and effective things work. Prosperity and enrichment of New York State is my priority."

"But, I'll talk to each of you personally on policy. I need to tell you something very important, that isth regarding my campaign. I support our President Reed, tough some aspectsth of his policy may be disagreeable, he is doing good by me. I think I stand by all of you when I say that he is truly our President. Winston really tried to screw us but Reed is given the job of fixing it. My support of the President outweighsth the good wordsth said by Senator Alois Kramer, I'm must disown his endorsement. Noble truly has no connections to this campaign, I have made a serious and continuous lapse in judgement even responding to her; Noble is a murderer. I have now had the time to overlook the recordings, she is vile."

But I will not end is on a bad note, I will not. We are Americansth, we have choice coming up. That choice is all down to you, but my advice is to think who's got their career in mind and who has your well being in mind. I have a few final words directly to all of you Batavia, a few final words about myself."

"I'm a patriot, I'm a journalist but most importantly I am an ordinary American!"

He met with a few voters, took a few pictures with them and offered some campaign merchandise for any of his supporters.
