"I'm as confident in that as I am that the Democrats won't obstruct it," Hotchkiss answered. "That means I'm not very confident. Unless we vote in a Republican legislature this year, we will constantly have to deal with obstruction."

Ma'am, I must say that if you keep making statements like this your campaign is as dead as a dodo.
Patricia Waterfield @PatriciaWaterfieldReal Maybe ignoring minority groups is a good campaign strategy in Alabama, In New York, we want to take care of our immigrants and LGBTQ community. Progressive values for New York!#ProgressiveforNewYork ![]() |

As Greg was writing replies to his stack of letters from constituents, his PC lit up.
An email from a colleague..... his eyes furrowed. Donald Johnson? What the hell did he want? A right munter, that one.
Apparently, a meeting with one of his friends.
He told his secretary to keep a lookout for this mysterious fellow and to send him in when he arrived.

A Phone Call to Congressman Morton
Los Angeles, California
Eventually, later that afternoon, Cox called for Greg Morton where he tried to phone him, but the call was to be answered by the secretary first.

Cox let out a quick laugh. "Sorry for being vague there. I'm running for California. Whenever people refer to west coast, they tend to refer to California. So yes, I'm running for California."

"How did I get into politics? I think it's because you felt like you were aiming to do the right thing. People these days don't care much about making changes themselves, so I figure I can make changes for them. To be the Governor, I want to make sure California doesn't descend into it's own ignorance by those Progressives. Plus, I always imagined that California was supposed to be the state where the American Dream was supposed to happen. It makes sense when you think about it. When I heard that Reed became president, I figure I can run California in his own image, seeing how he's making the US better." Cox explained to Morton.

"Reed winning California was a surprise. He's almost like Ronald Reagan or George H.W Bush. Now the changes I want to make is to turn California into a state of prosperity. I feel like Hollywood itself is being forgotten on it's true purpose. I wish to give the studios some freedom. There are people who want to be famous in California, so I want to give them more opportunities. Gun rights in California are strict, but I want to relive the concern of the public. Seeing how the 2nd Amendment shows the right to show arms, I wish to give everyone the right to have a firearm. Now, northern and southern California is a place for business. The Progressives are going to make this worst with their typical "big business" over the little guy. Everyone deserves to get in the bigger pond. I want to raise the wages there. Lastly, I want to make sure that no illegal immigrants exploit our state's status for having a sanctuary city. Is that enough or do you want more?" Cox asked Morton.

Meeting with New York Governor Romano Edoardo Di Pietro

Governor Romano Edoardo Di Pietro was in many ways a model for Anderson's potential governorship, Di Pietro was an advocate for criminal justice reform, cutting taxes, and streamlining the government all of which Anderson hoped to achieve in his governorship. Today however Glen was not here to talk about any of that, today he was here to talk about a potential major project for their states.
20,000 people commuted every day from the Poconos to New York City, it is widely to be considered the worst commute in the country with Interstate 80 clogged for miles. A transit rail project from Scranton, Pennsylvania to link up with existing New Jersey line and ending in NYC could provide much needed relief and be a massive economic artery for all states involved.
Anderson had announced his support for the project at a recent rally and was now making efforts that showed his commitment to making it reality. To that end he arranged to meet with New York's governor to discuss the proposal, and sat outside his office waiting to be called in.

The Governor had heard of Congressman Anderson and his quest to become Governor of Pennsylvania, and he liked what he had heard. He went an opened the door for the Pennsylvanian and showed a welcoming look.
"Congressman, come on in. It is an honor to meet you. Now what would you like to discuss. Policy or campaign?"
