@MartinTaylorWA

By 'a communist holiday' you mean a commemoration of the Haymarket Affair, which brought the 8-hour workday and is celebrated in a number of countries? As for your other point, what would all those men be without soldiers to fight in their armies and without regular people to rally behind them?

The full manifesto has just been released on ForANewAmerica.com along with several other sites as a PDF. It is currently being mass distributed by Taylor's team across the internet, with a speech scheduled a few hours after the debate.

The New American Manifesto by Martin Taylor

Chapter I - The Penultimate Stage of Democracy - A World on Fire

No democracy, no matter how stable or perfect, lasts forever. From the rise of Julius Caesar to the fall of the Weimar Republic, every democracy has an end date. History shall repeat itself, and a dangerous beast shall crown himself dictator to the cries of millions. We can learn from history in this regard, as we must secure American democracy before it is too late. We have entered the penultimate stage of democracy: as oligarchs begin seizing control of institutions and those in favour of democracy begin to retreat, the democratic system decays slowly, rotting like necrotising flesh as maggots and worms flock to the dying mother of liberty. Great civilisation and Western democracy shall be destroyed in a great fire, as the world tumbles into chaos. Some predict this shall happen within the next 50 years, maybe even the next 20. The Western world shall have far-reaching oligarchies, united in all but name. Corporations have already become more powerful than governments and many politicians already rely on their support, so it shan't be too long. The 'alt' and populist right surge around the world as democracy retreats, slowly collapsing. Human rights abuses are being uncovered even in democratic nations. From the investigation into the Wyvern ministry's abuses of disabled people by the UN and to Andrej Duda's attempt at suspending human rights and seizing control of the courts, democracy is in danger across the world. All nations and all peoples must now rally to create an ultimate solution to all our problems, lest the inferno of autocracy incinerate all freedom. This manifesto shall outline all the measures needed to save Western democracy. Long live democracy!

Chapter II - Plutocrats and Kleptocrats - The Cycle of Oligarchy

To understand what must be done in our own nation, we must analyse the current state of the United States in order to fix it. The current American system is ruled by plutocrats and kleptocrats. This plutocracy is seen most in the PACs that donate to political campaigns, or in a less direct vein, the CEOs of major corporations who have more power than government officials. The kleptocracy manifests itself in men like Nixon, who are corrupt to the point of treason. But it is not merely the extremely corrupt: modern politicians would much rather gain power than actually implement ideological policies. Modern centrists are nothing more than cowards who bend to public opinion, whilst the populist right claim to be on the side of ordinary working people despite taking blood money from powerful corporations to enforce their will over the country. As democracy reaches its penultimate stage, politicians have only gotten more corrupt: Owen K. Shrub invaded Iraq using a fake dossier, committing war crimes here and there, in the name of Haliburton and other oil companies. And what is the practical result of this? Tens of thousands of American soldiers died. Your fathers, your uncles, your brothers. Your fellow Americans. Killed by imperialistic wars that benefitted only the rich elite. On top of that, these wars are nothing but cruel attempts at genocide, having killed 20 million people in the last 75 years. If this is what 'freedom' and 'democracy' look like, then we need to storm Washington in our millions and tell the government that we won't stand for any more of this! Most of our power is in the streets: your vote only does so much on its own. But the mobilisation of millions on the streets, showing their power: that is the key. That is how we win. So let us all make a pledge: On the 1st of May, we get to the streets in our cities - better yet, Washington - and declare that the tyrants shall fall. We must proclaim, on that day, a new America! The countdown starts now. Let's go out there, and begin campaigning! But what for? For a new America, as written in this manifesto.

Chapter III - The People's Bill of Rights - A New Plan for America

The Constitution declares that each American has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. However, as FDR said, "This Republic had its beginning, and grew to its present strength, under the protection of certain inalienable political rights—among them the right of free speech, free press, free worship, trial by jury, freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures. They were our rights to life and liberty. As our nation has grown in size and stature, however—as our industrial economy expanded—these political rights proved inadequate to assure us equality in the pursuit of happiness. We have come to a clear realization of the fact that true individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. "Necessitous men are not free men." People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed.". And so, it is necessary that we must draft a new bill of rights. We must include, as is included in the UN's Declaration of Human Rights, the right to food, water, (clean) clothing, shelter, healthcare and education, all provided by the state for free. After all, the entire duty of a government is to provide for its citizens, is it not? But we must go further than this: the right to join a union, the right to a living wage, the right to work less than 60 hours a week, the right to childcare, the right to social security, to the right to employment, the right to free higher education, the right to be recognised by your chosen gender, the right to love, the right to non-discrimination, and most of all, the right to economic equality. These rights, combined, will form the Second Bill of Rights, protecting the economic interests of the average American citizen. No more shall megacorporations with avaricious and destructive CEOs be allowed to reign freely. No more shall American workers be paid crumbs for decades and then paid even less when they are no longer able to work. No more shall people be forced to pick between their children and their work.

Chapter IV - The Great American Transportation System - From Coast to Coast

America is the world's 3rd largest nation, reaching from shore to shore, from Guam to Puerto Rico. And yet, despite this size, we still rely on the car to travel long distances. As many of you know, driving a car across many hundreds of miles is a tiring and painful thing, tedious yet monotonous. So why do we still do it? It is in part due to the middle-class myth of the "American Car", which is responsible for the mass congestion in modern roads (even sometimes on highways), and helps contribute to stress, obesity and even suicide. If that isn't enough, it is also a major consumer of oil, wreacking havoc on the planet. It is clear for both the health of our citizens and our planet we must give up the car. But how? The answer is simple: what I call the Great American Transportation System, or GATS for short. The first stage of GATS will be in major cities, as streetcars will begin to rule the streets once more. Large streetcar systems will take people from A to B, no more cars needed. The streetcars themselves will be quite luxurious, with leather seats and modern designs. This alone will provide tens of thousands of jobs, both in temporary construction jobs and more permanent maintenance and driving jobs - although some variants are unmanned. The second stage will be connecting these major networks, with smaller networks across the country. There will be 50 networks at the end of the second stage, with one in the 50 most populous cities in the USA and the surrounding area, giving service to approximately 50 million people in the urban areas alone. Now, some may say this will cost too much due to all the steel, the economic growth resulting will actually pay it off, at the very least, for itself and half on top. In fact, the steel production will actually revitalise the American steel industry, bringing in tens of thousands of more jobs than the ones added earlier. But that's not all. These 50 systems will all be connected by the GATS Maglev Train, a large transnational train with enough track to circumnavigate the Earth several times. The trains will be equipped to handle transamerican journeys, working effectively as moving houses. There will be exercise facilities, luxury spas and other amazing facilities with sleek, modern design. After the trains are built under GATS, the trains will expand to smaller cities, and so will the streetcars. The end result is a pan-American transport system, once replacing the car and providing hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Chapter V - The Cities of the Future - Green Urbanism

There is also another method of ending the car, and perhaps even the American commute as a whole. To understand what this is, we must take a step back and look at the modern American city. First, there is a central urban area, full of industry and commercial buildings, known as CBD (of course, in former industrial areas, you also have a 'loop', a rotting part of the city), then squalid slums around it and, far out, is the middle and upper class neighbourhoods. Therein lies the problem. Even the residential areas closest to the city are far from the place of work. This is a major problem, as people will overload on cars and create large amounts of congestion. An ideal, modern city would be one which is completely homogenous: a mix of all three. However, this is impractical, so I propose a new model: an industrial/lower-class residential mix on one side, and a commercial/middle-upper class residential on the other. This will be cultivated, by cities being incentivised through monetary and development intiatives to move towards this model rather than the current, inefficient status quo. Other grants like this, packaged under the "New Metropolitan Grant Program" will also be produced to promote vertical farming, using eco-friendly materials and increasing energy efficiency. Public transport will be given large amounts of funding thanks to GATS, build the cities of the future. Large skyscrapers reaching for miles across the landscape of America, as old vestiges of once-dying neighbourhoods are resurrected and given new life, as they prosper under a new American model of city. No more traffic in the streets, only streetcars and bikes. Nuclear reactors will power these new cities, as coal, oil and gas are phased out by the energy source of the future. Many will eat only their homemade food, as farms grow on rooftops and 5G internet blares across the great metropolitan landscape, connecting us all with no need for wires, only electricity. A new, advanced American city shall dawn!

Chapter VI - Equality for All! - The End of Discrimination

The inequality level in the United States has never been so high since the Gilded Age. The far-right is on the rise, as shown by the Las Vegas attack and the Charleston and Orlando shootings. Young alt-right men, self-identifying as incels, wage a hate war against all women who refuse to kenel to their misogynistic fantasties. People of color are kept in ghettos, locked away from the so-called 'civilised communities' by economics and by force. People of color are imprisoned on a daily basis for being suspected of having drugs based on their ethnicity. In fact, the whole war on drugs was started to arrest black people. But it's only going to become worse from here, as fundementalists and violent demagogues threaten the rights of so-called inferior peoples in the name of the supremacy of the white male. But even without them, we'd still be in a rather bad position. It is no surprise that America is so discriminatory, considering the fact it was built by rich, white slaveowners who didn't want to pay taxes. We must fix the problem of discrimination promptly, lest the tyrants win. America shall rise, free from racism, sexism and homophobia. We shall build a land that is equal and that is just. Black, white, man, woman, straight, gay, religious, atheist, neurotypical, autistic, we are all American! The chant of liberty is not "Death to taxes!" but "Equality for all!". Capitalism cannot provide equality, and in fact destroys it. It thrives on inequality. It thrives on violence. Capitalism creates white and male supremacist movements, funding them at every turn. The only way to true equality is socialism!

Chapter VII - The Protection of Society - Bombs, Tanks and Guns

I am a pacifist. Despite this, however, I am able to grasp the requirement for security in modern society. The patent truth is that American imperialism has sent our brothers and our sisters in coffins back to us. All that heroism and bravery, thrown away by naked political interest. Before continuing, we must quickly shame those politicans who go to war with more haste than they do to breathe. They sacrifice your brothers and sisters, your sons and daughters, for nothing but cruel imperialist war! It is that which I do not want to become. I believe that America must be on the defensive rather than offensive. We must cut nuclear weapons down to a thousand or so, but also update them to prevent any accidents. We need to slash military spending extremely, as we spend too much on imperialist fantasies whilst children go hungry and the crippled fall in the streets. We must build the impregenable American fortress and defend our allies. The work should be left to the CIA and the Department of Foreign Affairs to fight for human rights and to spread international socialism. The CIA's colonialist excursions into Latin America, Asia and Africa must stop immediately. We must use our diplomatic and espionage corps in a way which supports human rights, not a second Manifest Destiny or the continuation of COINTELPRO. As for our domestic police force, it is imperative that we repress police brutality, which is responsible for several hundred deaths a year. The death penalty must be abolished, as it is both cruel and expensive. We must nationalise the prisons, and increase funding for rehabilitation programs and fight prison rape. We must also end the barbaric practice of solitary confinement, and must ensure that all prisoners are treated humanely, in accordance with their rights. Another particular problem in America is that of white-collar crime, which runs rampant across the country. I believe that it is in the best interest of the American people that we finally fight this once and for all. Billions are being stolen from government and from workers, and yet we have done nothing! I believe that the FBI should create a corporate crime section, fighting against white-collar crime. It will be given a high budget and the ability to investigate freely to attack tyrannic corporations and corrupt executives.

Chapter VIII - The Advancement of Technology - The Future of Science

But how shall we bring forth all the innovations seen in Chapters IV and V? That is an interesting question. The answer to this pertinent and paramount question can be summed up in three words: science and technology. They are the keystones of progress: from the railroad, radio and nuclear bomb to the magnetic train, the satellite and artifical intelligence in less than a century. Imagine what'll happen in this century: transhumanism, superintelligence, post-scarcity, automation....But to do all those great things, we require funding. We need funding for spaceships and artifical intelligence. We need to increase the status of the OSTP to a Department, as science and technology must be our goal. We need to outcompete private industry, as we must not let science and technology fall into the hands of men like Musk and Bezos, who seek to dominate the world. They must not win, lest we end up as slaves to technological demons. Technological monopolies and oligopolies must be broken and the people must take back the weapons of progress from the rich! They do not have the right, they do not have the permission to copyright progress! They do not own the future, we do! We need to take control of technology, begin developing government-made computer chips and govenrment-made software. Scientific and technological industries are the most corrupt in the modern world: from pharmaceutical companies putting a price on people's lives to African child slaves, the science and technological industries are ones where we need government intervention. It has simply run too far too fast, and we need to rein it in. No corporation shall own science, progress or even the future of mankind. We, the people, shall own the future!

Chapter IX - The Destruction of Capital - The Deluge

We are in the final stages of capitalism. The system has become untenable and unstable, and will soon crumble under its own pressure. Within the next 20-50 years, a great deluge shall come, as large corporations topple over and a great depression shall take the world, greater than all the past ones combined. The great sweeping tides of history shall cover the face of the Earth, as tens of millions of refugees flee their flooded homes and enter desolate wastelands filled with nothing but bloodsheds and massacares. And you know what? It'll all be our fault. If we continue to go in this course, that is the world we shall leave our children and our grandchildren, all our descendants, left with war, starvation and death. The only way to remedy this is to destroy the capitalist system. No amount of reform or daliance will solve this wretched wreck of misery and genocide, only revolution. We must finally take back our birthright, our sovereign soil, against avaracious, bloodthirsty capitalists in an awe-inspiring revolution! We shall take back the streets and fight for freedom! Capitalism is burying its own grave, and so we must take advantage. We need to finally break our chains and declare our independence: declare our liberty! Viva la Revolucion!

Chapter X - Conclusion

We must forge a new America for all peoples. We must rise up. No democracy, how stable or perfect, lasts forever. All this great society, this shining hill, shall fall eventually. And so we must turn back the clock. Topple the government, topple the order, and turn it upside down. We must fight for a better future! Long live democracy!

Rosa rolls her eyes and crosses her arms.

"No, it's in Texas. You know that's the kind of thing you could learn from an address." She points out caustically.

Reconsidering how good Representative Taylor is at history, now thinking not so much. Calls American soldiers genociders, hugely wrong and very cruel to many brave fallen. More sympathetic to ISIS than American military. Not a patriot!

How can you get elected to public office with such illiteracy? The manifesto states that the wars themselves are genocidal and that the soldiers were sent to die for no good reason by men like Shrub.

Thickhead Taylor says streetcars and trains will fix problems Coast to Coast. Forgetting about Hawaii? Ignorant plans ignore the islands! Says train system will be Pan-American. Will he build a bridge? Does not think it through! Electric cars solve many more problems.

If socialism is equality why does Taylor have lower classes? Wants to play SimCity and make "lower class" residences. Making slums on purpose? Terrible design!

Alaska and Hawaii will be serviced with the streetcars but not the trains. Electric cars do not solve problems. As I stated in the manifesto, long commutes through car increase levels of stress, obesity, suicide and other dangerous conditions.

It is stated in the manifesto that in a perfect world, it would be mixed everything: mixed class, mixed type, so on. However, you do not look at the practical reality of American politics. Today, rich suburban neighbourhoods are isolated from poor urban ones. In fact, my idea would actually be more equal than the modern system, as people would be visiting other areas regularly.
