"First of all, and most importantly, you need to disavow any endorsements from Noble and Kramer. As long as it looks like you're their candidate, no one outside the anti-President fringes of the party is going to want to have anything to do with you. Having them on your shoulder is going to drown you if you don't knock them off now," Amaras laid out.

"That is your first priority. If you stay in their little camp, or look like you're there, you won't get the support you should. The second thing you need to do is make sure the voters know where you stand on family issues. You put out an agenda, but you left a hole in it that you need to fill. You're running against a stripper who makes music that no good parent would expose their children to, and you need to make sure that the voters know that you'll be there for family values-the right to life, real marriage, public decency. That will win you votes that you need."

"Doing those two things is key to you winning this race. You can make other changes, but they won't do much compared to doing what I just said."

"This will sound blunt but I think that you are too good for the Democrats." Walton answers Arlen.

"It is not just idle flattery. From one Mayor to another I have been very impressed with your environmental efforts and your stances. I think that you are someone who cares more about positive action than personal gain and I think that you are selling yourself short in a party that is mostly concerned with preserving itself while happily having members such as Gianna Carrollton represent it or current Senators such as the one from West Virginia. You deserve better than that."

Jason Samara Campaign Stop #4
Somerville, Middlesex County Massachusetts

Image

Continuing his journey in Middlesex County Jason Samara made his way to Somerville. He began the day walking the streets around Davis Square emerging once again from the MBTA Red Line. He spent the day with supporters walking around the square, approaching groups, shaking hands, entering nearby shops and speaking to the owners. The area was a textbook example of effective urban renewal, in large part due to the Red Line that brought him to the district. What was once a dying community was given new life in the mid 80s and by the year 200 was among the happiest places to live. This area was an example of the good that government could do when partnered with the community. As such Samara hoped the message of ‘Stronger Together’ would be well received.

Samara dined at “The Rosebud” and held a small question and answer session there with the patrons before heading over to his podium where he would give a speech to the assembled crowd of supporters.

Image

“Good Morning! What a crowd, it’s really an honor to be here thank you all for coming and for the warm welcome.”

“I’m Congressman Jason Samara, I am a man raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up walking the Freedom trail, I grew up watching the South End of Boston go from dangerous and remote in the 80s flourish, I grew up jogging along the Charles river and rooting for the Red Sox. But I was born to two loving parents in Puerto Rico, my father was an immigrant and a psychiatrist, my mother was a social worker who devoted her life to helping people get back on their feet. When I was 2 my father passed away in an car accident and my mother took me to Boston to live with her mother. Times were hard, money was short, we relied on family, community and at times the government to get by. I am a product of public school, I grew up hearing stories of my family that fought for civil rights, of my uncles that marched next to Doctor King, who stood on the bridge at Selma, who marched on Washington and I took that to heart.”

“I dedicated my life and schooling to community outreach and service, I married my high school sweetheart and we have beautiful daughters. I was elected to Congress in 2010 becoming the first African American to represent the state, I have fought for welfare reform, consumer protections, providing affordable college and healthcare, LBGTQ rights, a woman’s right to choose and housing reform. I proudly stand by the work I have done for this state. As a Congressman I proudly voted against the RLSA, WAC and BBA. My parents and my grandmother are no longer with us today, but I know they look down on our work with pride.”

“My last name is Samara, a name that comes from half a world away. In America though your name should be no barrier to success, no matter your name or circumstances of birth, the color of your skin, no matter who you love or how you choose to worship... America should be a place where none of that matters. I stand here now proud of my heritage, knowing that I am just a part of the greater American story. I have a vision for America where there are no barriers to success - no matter what color you are, no matter where you're from, no matter how much money you have.”

“Thats where I come from, not let me tell you what I stand for. I stand for no PACs just people, I have pledged to no longer accept donations from corporate PACs, this is just the first step in Comprehensive Campaign Finance Reform that is necessary for our growing Democracy. I stand for the scientific consensus that Climate Change is real, and that we must take steps to build a clean energy economy to make fuel and energy cheaper, better for the environment and free of our dependency on foreign countries.”

“I stand for those who serve are nation in uniform, and making sure that when they return to civilian life we are there to support them in the challenges they face. I stand for Expanding medical care and support services for our service members is a moral duty.”

“I stand for Universal Healthcare, Health Care is a Human Right, a moral responsibility. I will fight to make sure that insurance companies no longer turn people away for pre-existing conditions or discriminate against women. I will work hand in hand with our governor to craft and support a healthcare plan that covers all of Massachusetts so it can continue to be the national leader in coverage and innovation.”

“I stand for Equal Pay for Equal Work. An economy that works for everyone, a $15 minimum wage, affordable childcare, parental leave. No one who works full time should live in poverty and its time big business and the 1% paid its fair share.”

“I stand for LGBTQ equality, I go to Boston’s Pride Parade every year, I marched in DC and spoke on LGBTQ rights and progress. I will stand against any attempt to take away our progress, LGTBQ rights are human rights and we need an equality act to ban discrimination against LGBTQ individuals in employment, housing and other areas.”

“I stand for A God Given Right to Safety, the Minutemen Act showed that Congress cares more about handouts to Gun Manufacturers than safety for our people, and across the country children are paying the price. Gun Violence plagues our communities every day and as your Senator I will fight back against the epidemic, thoughts and prayers are not enough we need action to take dangerous weapons off our streets and out of the hands of dangerous individuals.”

“For most folks, one income isn't enough to raise a family and send your kids to college. Sometimes, two incomes aren't enough. It's harder to save. It's harder to retire. You're doing your part, you're meeting your responsibilities, but it always seems like you're treading water or falling behind.”

“I’m tired of waiting, waiting a decade for a pay raise while CEO pay is soaring, i’m tired of waiting for Republican Senators to act while more Americans fall into poverty, i’m tired of waiting for them to realize that their are kids with the knowledge and the drive to go to college and change the world but can’t because its not affordable. I’m tired of waiting and that’s why I am seeking the Democratic nomination for Senator of the great state of Massachusetts.”

“We, the people of Massachusetts, the birthplace of the American Revolution, Birthplace to presidents and patriots, heroes of war and peace, a place of science and philosophy, a state that has ALWAYS pushed America forward. And we know the way forward don’t we? We know how to make our economy stronger and fairer, how to make our communities safer and education more affordable, how to make our retirement security and our healthcare the gold standard.”

“We know that we should not abandon our public education to benefit private and religious schools, but we must strengthen our public education. We know that inclusion and diversity make us stronger, that we must encourage new Americans to come here to build better lives. We know that we must protect members of the LGBTQ+ community, we know that ALL are created equal and must be protected as such under the law!”

“We start right here, right now by talking about the economy. An economy that works for too few at the expense of the many. A rigged game where wall street wins and main street loses, when bankers rig interest rates so you pay more for a house or a car thats a rigged game. When companies use tricks and loopholes to avoid taxes and don’t pay their fair share? Thats a rigged game, and when the top 1% has more than the bottom 99% IT’S A RIGGED GAME!”

“Close the Loopholes, lets tell American companies that if they want to benefit from our laws and our protection they need to bring those profits home. We need a fairer economy because the market the republicans claim is ‘free’ is just a game with loaded dice. We have seen wall street billionaires declare bankruptcy a half dozen times and get bailed out, but someone who can’t afford to pay a speeding ticket goes to jail. IT’S A RIGGED GAME. “

“Since 1978 CEOs have gotten paid over 900% more, workers are 65% more productive and they get 9% more. When America’s workers play a rigged game we all lose, when unions get busted and workers can’t organize? We lose... and when you don’t give people a livable wage we all lose. Basic decency and sound economics both bring you to the same conclusion: IT’S A RIGGED GAME thats why it’s time to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.”

“But if we are really going to create permanent lasting change we MUST support education. Now i’m not supporting teaching our kids how to better answer a multiple choice question on a test. I want to build real strong communities around schools, have teachers who are well-trained motivated and LOVE what they do. I want schools and teachers that really prepare our children not just for college but for life. We need to treat teachers with the respect they deserve and like the professionals they are!”

“The average student graduates with over $35,000 in debt, I want to make sure that every student gets the opportunity to go to college and that they can go to community college for free and when a student borrows money to go to college they get low rates.”

“The ACA was not perfect, it could have been improved BUT I would take the ACA over having tens of millions without healthcare, without a net, where the only time they see a doctor is in the emergency room. We must continue to improve healthcare, making sure coverage is truly universal and held to the highest standards. I will work hand in hand with our governor to get the best possible healthcare after the RLSA until we can finally repeal it.”

“Everybody deserves affordable healthcare, nobody should have to choose between filling a grocery cart or a prescription jar. The Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other programs that allow people to retire with dignity, that gives survivor benefits to their partners and families…. These are programs I will fight tooth and nail to defend, to make sure Social Security is there for you. It’s the least we can do.”

“As we make peoples healthcare secure let us also secure our communities…. Mass Shootings capture headlines, but daily tragedies we see in towns and cities across the nation are just as tragic. Thirty Thousand Americans are killed by gun violence every year, the madness must end. I have given my thoughts and prayers to victims too many times but as great man once said ‘when you pray move your feet’. We need to move, we need to realize that we have options and ways to bring down gun violence without dismantling the second amendment which I respect. Ways to ensure criminals, terrorists and other dangerous individuals don’t get firearms. This is not about hunters, this is not about responsible gun owners looking to protect their family… This is about realizing that there is no good reason to own an assault rifle. If you buy a gun, no matter where or when, you should get a background check. The gun lobby owns many in Congress but they do not own the conscience of the American people.”

“As your Senator I will fight to ensure that no one who works full time will live in poverty, I will fight to raise the minimum wage, get better work scheduling, get paid family and medical leave, I will work towards giving every kid in America an opportunity to go to college without being buried under a mountain of debt, and for the debt that is owed now I will fight to make that burden easier.”

“As your Senator I will fight for retirement with dignity, an expansion of Social Security, Strengthening of Medicare and Retirement accounts, and to reform the ACA.”

“As your Senator I will fight against attempts to strip control of a woman’s body away from her. Defending a woman’s right to choose, supporting education and easier access to contraception is vital to promoting sexual health.”

“We need stronger laws to govern Wall Street, we need to keep the 1% accountable and when banks get too big they need to be broken up, the people of this country and this state deserve someone who will hold their feet to the fire and make sure they are accountable. We deserve someone who will support trade deals that don’t just favor the big corporations, trade deals that don’t leave you in the dirt and left behind as the gap between rich and poor widens and the middle class disappears.”

“In too many places the poor are getting poorer, families who need help will find essential services cut, they will find healthcare cut and they need to ‘pull themselves up by their bootstraps’ while the boot of the 1% is on their back. Americans trapped in poverty, no hope of a job or education, many turning to drugs and gangs. We as a nation cannot abandon them, and as your Senator I swear I will fight for them.”

“Call it ‘trickle down’, call it ‘supply side economics’ but its the same story, the shining city is for the privileged few not America as a whole. But democrats have always fought for a different vision, a vision of a nation where we pursue new frontiers in education, healthcare, and prosperity, a nation where we all move forward to that new frontier together, where no-one is left behind.”

“Our nation, our republic will not work if we do not get out there and fight for what we believe in. Politicians from the President to the local dog catcher need to hear from you, they hear plenty from the 1% and Wall Street, from Super-Pacs and giant corporations and those who can fill their pockets and campaign chests. If we don’t speak now, make our voices heard, our politicians will ONLY work for the wealthy few.”

“So while I am asking for your vote, but more importantly asking for your engagement. I hope that when election day comes you put a check mark next to my name on a ballot, but should you decide that you disagree I hope that you still get involved. Raise the level of debate and discourse, demand the highest standards not just from your elected officials but from those who elect them. Do not take your vote for granted, your country needs you, your nation needs you, and those who do not have the chance to vote need you.”

“Our state has a strong Irish tradition, and the Irish tell the story of a man reaching the gates of heaven asking to be let in, St. Peter says ‘of course just show us your scars’ to which the man replies ‘Scars? I have no scars’ St. Peter says ‘what a pity, was there nothing worth fighting for?”

“In the days to come we will accomplish much, we will push our state and our nation continually forward, but no progress worth making has ever been made with self sacrifice, personal suffering and sometimes even death. Find your truth, fight for it, pray and move your feet, show others the path forward by blazing the trail.”

“We are STRONGER TOGETHER, that means everyone who works hard has an equal shot at America’s promise, at joining the middle class and having a better life. We are STRONGER TOGETHER yet so many of our corporate and political leaders seem content to pursue their own self interest, leaving so many hard working Americans struggling and without a fair shot. So lets not give up now, abandon our dreams to dark apathy we are STRONGER TOGETHER and we can achieve the American Dream.”

“Together we can accomplish great things, I pray you join me, I pray you stand and march forward with me, and one day we will have built a country worthy of the principles we were founded on. Thank you, God bless America and God bless the Great State of Massachusetts.”

"At first, I plan on building greater public support and activism behind Medicare for All. Hold a few rallies, fundraise and sign people up to the campaign. Then, we can hopefully use this power to influence politicians in Washington to support such a measure. We'd obviously need someone like you, in the Senate or House, to propose the thing. While that's happening, I'll be putting pressure on legislators to vote for it by rallying the troops in their home state. And to your second question, I've gotten confirmation that Scotty Marlowe, is that his last name? But Scotty has said he will support it and join the campaign."

Noémie walked briskly through the crowd, having left the crowded airport quickly. Her assistant had taken the bags to their hotel room so that she could arrive early at the location. It was hardly anything special but she had been here before. It was a nice place and the Brazillian coffee only made it better, though the last time she had come, it had been before her marriage. Her trips had been seldom and the best drinks equally as rare due to the cost. it would be nice to return now armed with the prestige and advantages of cash.

Am I being a hypocrite to think this way?

Before she could continue her train of thought, she arrived and took a sidewalk seat, ordering a hot coffee. She waited for her guest to arrive.

Patricia had caught an Uber to the coffee shop to meet Thatcher, an important meeting that could decide her political future. She hopped out of the black car and made her way into the cafe. After glancing around looking for her, she found her. "Hello, you must be Neomie. My name is Patricia, Patricia Waterfield."

Patricia shook her hand and took a seat. "I'm glad we're speaking here today. We need some serious organisation here on the ground. At this moment of time, I believe I am the most well-suited Progressive Candidate, to not only win the primary but to be elected by the entire state. Luckily for us, the Democratic Party is running a dud and both Republican candidates are doing the hard work for us. Noémie raised an eyebrow at her direct approach the topic, taking a mental note of her straight-shooting personality.

"I am glad to finally be on the ground, not everything can be done from Boston unfortunately. But it does give me a chance to finally stretch my legs."

She considered her next words before continuing.

"Yes, the entire state is well suited for a Progressive base, the opportunity is there and I hope to help develop our infrastructure here. Our focus has been Massachusetts, in lead up to the midterms. But as you pointed out, there is a chance here. But, your assertion of Rod Johnson may be a bit flawed. A dud but one with a big platform and a major warchest."

"Yes, we can't dismiss him. But when was the last time he showed his head? I don't think he can match the enthusiasm of the Progressive Party," Patricia commented. "Of course, he is a weak candidate surface level. The Progressives can certainly generate the effervescence to help unseat his place as the frontrunner. But it will be a challenged for whoever is the nominee. Why would you consider yourself the most professional in the race? Your opponent, Cassandra Torrisi, holds office currently, hardly a con."

She tried her best to frame the question not too critical of Patricia, though her success was probably less than she intended so.

She tried her best to frame the question not too critical of Patricia, though her success was probably less than she intended so.

"I love that girl, her passion. So when I talk about her, I don't wish any bad will. But overall, I think she's too young for such a leadership role. The only sense of leadership she has had is through being a councilwoman, that's not the greatest of responsibilities. I've been Mayor of Saratoga Springs, been high up in the business world and now I'm partly responsible for the function of the largest ecological group in the U.S. So, I suppose that's why I consider myself to be the most polished, professional progressive to lead the party in the Senate Race."

Washington, DC
Carrollton Residence

There were still occasional streamers scattered throughout the house from the night previous, after when their only son Michael decided to confront his parents and come out of the closet - and Gianna and John both planned a secret coming-out party'. The occasion was certainly a rather festive one, slices of rainbow-colored layered cake, coated with white icing, saved in the refrigerator and rainbow pride tumblers stacked in a corner of the house, handed out to each of the party-goers, had made for an enjoyable evening for the private celebration, where only closest of friends, classmates, and neighbors were invited to attend. Family, of course, were also invited, and even the least likely of those whom they thought were going to be supportive were certainly so as they learned of the occasion. The Carrolltons made certain to invite the Breckenridges as well, though ultimately due to unfortunate circumstances, the only Breckenridge able to attend was the senator.

Yet, at the scene of the aftermath, the following evening, Gianna sat in her sofa, leaning over the coffee table, rubbing her hand over her temple as she read over the transcript typed up by her former campaign manager, Richard Smith. Her eyes scanned the document, line-by-line, studiously, and sipping on a rainbow-flag-covered mug of coffee. She sat the document down, and sighed audibly, as her husband walked around to sit next to her. "Honest opinion, what do you think?" Gianna asked, her eyes looking pleadingly toward John.

John silently looked into Gianna's eyes, sat his own coffee down on the coffee table, and reached out to lace his hand, intertwining fingers, and holding her hand as he thought about his take. "If you aren't ready, then you aren't ready. Full-stop. But if you are, this isn't a bad place to start, and I want you to know I love you beyond words, regardless of what you choose." John said, straight-faced, before leaning forward to plant a gentle kiss on his wife's forehead. "There's no rush on this, honey. It's just a statement."

Richard, seated across from the two of them with his legs crossed in front of him, cleared his throat. "I know it seems distant, but midterms are only two years out."

Gianna sank forward again, burying her face in her hands, and closing her eyes as she contemplated for a silent moment. "I don't even want to run for anything. Not anytime soon, and I don't even know if I want to run for something ever again, to be honest." Gianna then sat back upright, her eyes fixed on the document, and shaking her head.

Richard, untwining his legs, shuffled his position on the recliner. "Just, give it some thought. It's worth at least giving it some consideration." He said, glancing toward John. "Like your husband said, there's no pressure." Then glancing back toward Gianna. "But, it never hurts to get an early leg-up. To get the wheels moving now? That could put yourself in great position for the midterms if you want to return to Congress. You'll have the funds, the campaign infrastructure, the whole-nine-yards."

Gianna exhaled again, and after a moment of giving it some thought, waved her hand dismissively. "I appreciate the thought, Rick. I just, honestly, still don't have any interest. I'd rather not put my family through anything like this again for awhile, if ever." She sat still for a passing couple seconds, internally musing, the room remaining silent, with John sipping his coffee and Rick listening inventively on if Gianna was going to add more, as her facial expression suggested. "But, this statement does seem like it could a good concept. A nice gesture."

Richard remained silent for a lingering minute more, cautious about chiming in and interrupting any chains of thought she was about to share, but then spoke up again once it seemed she was finished. "Tell you what, I'll leave it with you to sleep on it, spend a few days or whatever long you need to think about it, and then you reach out to me when you feel ready to discuss this. After everything you've been through, guys, I think you deserve to take your time and not have to rush this thing. It's just, an idea. That's all." He explained with a grin.

John nodded his head, comprehendingly, and looked back over to Gianna, who was rubbing her temples once more, facially expressing some uncertainty. "Hey." John said, neutral tone. "So, what are you thinking right now?"

Gianna gulped deeply, then looked up toward John, glancing past him for a moment to the view of their driveway, then back to her husband. "I think he means well, but this just doesn't feel right." Gianna said, inching closer, and reaching for John's hands again. Gianna looked down at their interwoven fingers, her dark brown eyes beginning to shed a tear. "And, just thinking about this is bringing back some bad memories." She added, as John let one hand go to wipe away a tear from his wife's face with his thumb, then cupping her jaw to lift her head up, looking at each other eye-to-eye.

"Then don't think about it." John stated plainly. "Not now, and not ever, if you don't want to." John leaned forward, kissing Gianna on the lips, and holding it for a few moments, pressing his forehead against hers, and dropping his voice down to a practical whisper. "I love you." He said again, giving Gianna another kiss, before leaning back upright into the sofa, still holding onto Gianna's hands.

Gianna closed her eyes for a few moments, biting her lip, and deep into thought, before re-opening her eyes and nodding her head. "I'll, I guess, talk to someone else. Someone who has no stake in this, not influenced or effected by this. Someone close enough whom I can trust to give an honest take, but not close enough that I have to worry about favoritism or being a 'yes-person' or anything." Gianna explained, then casually glancing toward John. "No offense." She added with a smirk.

"None taken, I'm proud to let the world know I'm your biggest fan, that you're my favorite." John said with a chuckle. "But, I think that's a good idea. Talking to someone from the outside, a fresh perspective. Even if it's something you decide to do, running in 2020, 2022, or 2024, it's worth talking about." John then reached for his mug, took a sip, and held it chest-level for a moment with a grin. "And, you're worth it." John added, ending with a wink.

Late into the evening, with everyone else having gone off to bed, Gianna remained awake and mindlessly tapped her fingers on the same coffee table she was situated at previously, thinking over things some more. She stared at the screen, email opened, and eventually snapped back into focus after she decided to go through with it, hitting send on the first of the emails she had typed up.

To: Alex Breckenridge
From: Gianna Carrollton

Hi Alex,

Sorry we couldn't talk more during the party, had to balance attending to a lot of guests, but I cannot express enough how grateful I am that you were there for Michael. That meant a lot to him.

Listen, if we can get together and talk sometime, I would greatly appreciate that. I would like to gauge your thoughts on something for our family in the future, and I am open to any and every honest opinion.

I hope all has been well with you and your family, Alex. You guys are always in our thoughts and prayers.
- Gianna Carrollton

To: Calvin Reed
From: Gianna Carrollton

Good evening, Mr. President, and I sincerely hope you as well as your wife and children have been thriving.

I'm certain the job has been keeping you quite busy, but I've had some thoughts of late that I'd like to share with some people. And, in the case you'd ever like for a brief, friendly outing - a time for a short break from the duties and rigors of the Oval Office, I would like for the chance to talk sometime. No pressure, and no rush. I'd also completely understand if such a thing is untenable as well.

Best wishes to you and your family, Mr. President.

She nodded and smiled.

"Of course, I am glad that you have no animosity towards her. While I certainly would try to avoid labeling youth as a negative factor, I can understand your argument. You both are quite suitable candidates and have shown yourself each as being able to have the capability to lead. All too often now we seem to associate the experience with being able to lead and legislate, but there is a reason why anyone can run for these positions. So the common man and women can be represented. That is the vision I have for the Progressives and I am sure you do to. But certain commentary, by both of you, have concerned party officials and myself once I was briefed on them."

She crossed her legs.

Shreveport, Louisiana

A fairly sizable crowd had gathered for Larson’s next big announcement. Jason waited with his wife away from the stage, waiting patiently as his surrogates each took the stage one by one to give their speeches. He was starting to get impatient, before it was finally his time to come up to the podium.

The crowd cheered seeing their candidate come up to deliver his new message. Though it seemed fairly obvious that he was going to run for an office, there was some debate over whether it’d be for his old House seat, for President, Senate, Governor, or something else entirely. It seemed those questions would all be answered today, as Larson drank a bit of his water, and grunted lightly to clear his throat. Looking down at his notes, he began:

“Thank you! Thank you to each and every one of you who turned out here today. This crowd gathered here alone should tell all of Washington and the deep state that Shreveport is on to them, and let me tell ya: we are, and we’re gonna hold them accountable.”

“So many innocent people from across Shreveport, Louisiana, and America are being held back by a rigged system put in place by the Liberals in power. This rigged system comes in many forms: from the regulations that destroy business and hurt jobs, to the taxes that rob people of their hard-earned money, to the illegal aliens that cross our border to steal jobs from American citizens, to the murder of babies, even! This is a system that has done so much harm to America’s lifestyle, values, and greatness.”

“Yet somehow, people in Washington are content with this. These cowardly crooks hide behind their social justice and political correctness to avoid addressing the real issues! It’s nothing but stupid that these people actually try to get away with this shit!”

“That was exactly what my campaign for Senate last year was about. People are sick of seeing the same incompetence and corruption on behalf of terrible politicians and special interests. I am never going to give up in my battle against these deep state Libs! Either we the people of America are going to take back our country, or we will die trying! I am running for the Republican nomination to represent the Fourth Congressional District of this great state to take the fight directly to Washington!”

“And I’m gonna beat the shit out of ‘em when I get there, let me tell ya, folks - metaphorically of course! Don’t want to get the PC police’s jimmies rustled now, do we? Anyways, we got a lot of work to do to fix this broken country, and bring hope to America and our great District. Right now, so many people are suffering because of ridiculous regulations put in my place by Winston liberals to cut down on our energy production. You know, back in the day, Shreveport was such a powerful center in oil in this country. Yet, because of these lying libs, so many people have lost jobs, we’ve lost plants, we’ve lost an entire industry because of the scourge that is regulation. I say we let the oil flow! As your Representative, I will pledge right now that I will fight to bring back jobs in oil, expand drilling, and promote as many practices that will make this industry thrive again as possible!”

“We’ve got a similar problem in our overall economy as well. Now, libtards won’t want to hear this, but it was WINSTON who caused the recession we are in now! It was because of these failed polices of market regulation and deficit spending that this even happened in the first place! We need to cut down on all of these regulations that tear businesses apart and incentivize companies to move overseas. As Representative, I am going to cut the chains of big government that tie down business, and allow them to finally prosper, so we can create a great, big, strong, competitive market, where we will see so much innovation, so many hirings, and an economy that will get moving again.”

“Now, I’ve been saying it for so long, and I will continue to say it until something is done: we need to stop these terrible trade agreements, which allow all of these shithole countries to just rip off our people and leech off of our success! These disastrous deals do nothing but let a bunch of Chinese, Mexican, British, etc. hacks take away our money and steal jobs. It is not racist to say that we shouldn’t be letting companies lay off so many hard worker just to run down to some dump so they can throw people from other countries into some of the worst working conditions ever seen for little pay. It is destroying the American worker, and the international worker. It is not racist to say that something needs to be done to help workers have well-paying jobs. I will take a stand against bad trade deals, and bring those jobs and factories back to the United States, and back here in Shreveport!”

“Moving on from all of that, let me start this by saying that Dianna Noble is one of the most disgusting people I have ever met. Now, I don’t like Calvin; even remotely, but anyone with any sense of love and respect will tell you that murdering his father and so many other people - including an unborn baby - is that exact opposite of what it means to be American! Now that that’s out of the way, I just want to say shame of Jared O’Leary for daring to use the murder of so many innocents as a political opportunity to push his radical, unconstitutional agenda. If this bill he proposed passes, if someone just starts shooting up your club, or your school, or your park, or wherever you are, oh, sorry! You’re going to jail if you dare try to defend yourself! Noble escaped conviction simply because of prosecutorial incompetence, nothing to do with the constitution of the United States. I strongly oppose efforts by Manic Jared and so many other opportunities to take away all of our defenses, and use a real tragedy as an excuse.”

“Honestly, it wouldn’t shock me if even Dianna were some sort of liberal plant. I’m being serious; there’s just no way that any self-respecting patriot could possibly act the way she’s been acting. You know what, I’ll let you people make up your own minds there. Maybe she’s a plant for gun control, maybe she really is that insane, we’ll never know.”

“I also want to show my support for our veterans who have served our country, putting their lives on the line for the sake of defending liberty and the promise of America. So many leftists would tell you that vets don’t deserve respect. They say we should cut military spending to the point where we would become weaklings in the eyes of the world. I will fight to the death to protect our soldiers in combat and at home against Democratic-Progressive attacks against them! I will fight against corruption in the VA, help to modernize and expand our military capabilities, and honor our heroes who have died for us and for our rights. They may hate you for your service, but we thank you so much for it.”

“Lastly, I want to give a big endorsement - well, actually two big endorsements. One to an Amendment, and one to someone I believe in. I have already mentioned this, but I strongly support the Flag Protection Amendment proposed in the House right now. In my view, if you disrespect the symbol of freedom that is our Flag, then clearly you don’t care about the concept. Really, if you don’t care about your freedom which was given to you by America, then maybe you shouldn’t get it, since you clearly don’t want it. As for my other endorsement, I am now lending my support over to Senator Alois Kramer in the 2020 Presidential race. I think liberals and establishment Reed apologists have really give the guy a hard time. Look, the guy had basically been knocked out cold, but since he happened to be with dead-meat Dianna, and also happens to be conservative, liberals are accusing him of being responsible for another person’s disgusting actions. They do it because they know he’s a real American conservative. Alois is someone who I know for sure values America and her values above all else. It is time for a real conservative patriot to take charge, not some dumbo neocon like Cal.”

“This is going to be a hard-fought campaign for all of us. It is going to be long, but it is built upon a foundation of American nationalism the likes of which the world has rarely seen. I am asking for all of you to support me and my family as we begin our fight for the heart of Shreveport, Louisiana, and America once more! We are going to beat the deep state, and show them that we are the ones in charge! So go out and spread the word as much as possible that we are coming, and we are ready. Thank you so much for your time! Let’s get to it! USA! USA! USA!”

The crowd chanted along with him as the new candidate waved on with a smile, departing from the stage he was standing on.
