Can you fill me in on what happened?

Mondale for UN, said things about allowing UN intervention here if Congress or the President invited them, tied, VP saved her.

I personally love the awkwardness of the exchange I just read.

“I’m Senator Zachary Fowler, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” - Fowler

"You're Senator Fowler right? It's a pleasure to meet you." - Second Lady

I'm think I'm reconsidering Chandler coming. He wouldn't like getting jostled in the crowds and he doesn't really have any rooting interest or anyone he wants to talk to

Still going to write something for Stacey though

Character Weight: 176 lbs.
Character Position/Role/Job: Owner of Parsons (Rising real estate company based in Sioux Falls)

Character State of Origin: Minnesota
Character State of Residence: South Dakota
Character Party Affiliation: Republican
Main Strengths: Business minded, Somewhat ruthless when it comes to achieving his goals, Very wealthy, Controls much of the real estate market in his state, Prime GOP donor in his state, Has many contacts in state government
Main Weaknesses: Non politician, No political background, Many controversial business moves in his past, Often seen as too economy minded and “indifferent” to many social issues
Biography: Parsons was born in an upper middle class family in St. Paul. At an early age, his family moved to Sioux Falls, where Parsons spent most of his life growing up. In high school, he took an interest in business and real estate in particular, and went on to get his degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota.

After graduating, Robert’s father retired and being the eldest son, Robert inherited his small real estate business. After inheriting it, Robert used his management talent to focus on a rapid expansion of the company through the process of buyout on properties. Over the years, Parsons expanded outside of Sioux Falls and into the rest of South Dakota. During this time, he made many ruthless business deals and property bids that left competing companies in the dust.

In 1982, Robert married his first wife, Elizabeth Denard, and the couple had a daughter, Jennifer. However, it was not a happy marriage and just five years later, in 1987, the two divorced, with Robert winning full custody of Jennifer. Over time however, Robert overcame his emotional struggle and continued to grow his rapidly rising business, eventually, he became a multimillionaire and one of the wealthiest men in his state.

During this time, he became the prime donor to the GOP in South Dakota, with significant donations to most Republican campaigns in the state. He also managed to get many contacts in the state government, and had a significant sway over the state government, often through corrupt ‘dirty work’ his company did with politicians, often through secret meetings and agreements on policy in exchange for donations. He was one of the biggest donors to Reed’s campaign in 2016, and is a big supporter of the president. His donations are more towards the party itself than a specific ideology or candidates. He also speaks out against socialism and is an outspoken supporter of the free market. By the present RP date, Parsons has begun expanding out of South Dakota and into its neighboring midwestern states.

Other Info: Robert is looking to make a gubernatorial bid for South Dakota in 2018, as the incumbent is being term limited. Holds no current political office

I have read and accept the rules of the roleplay: Steppe Khanate

I believe so. Kingsley is not participating.

On another note, what uniform is Fowler wearing? There may be recognition issues if he favors his in-market team.

1. There is something of a tension here. Gathering sufficient contacts in a state government would bestow something of a political background in the process.

2. Elaboration is still required here.

3. Elaboration would be useful here as well. The extent to which he makes himself a public figure is still unclear.. He is noted to be an outspoken supporter of the free market-is this an active attempt at activism and messaging, or simply his comments when he does speak? Particularly if relatively minor, a lack of commentary on social issues is a largely toothless weakness.

4. This wording implies that he has remarried. Further details would be useful.

5. Policy examples would be helpful.

I would add an additional weakness, or two. As it stands, his lack of political experience does not gel well with his noted connections, and outsider status is something of a mixed weakness and strength in itself. His lack of commentary on social issues, as noted, does not seem especially damaging unless more emerges upon fleshing out.

Yeah, this latest speech finally brought Ram’s hyper-conservative, somewhat populist side out. This will probably attract some media attention for better or for worse, and might appeal to Kramer-esque Republicans.

Also, he finally named Anderson

What is Anderson’s relationship with Kramer and the more hard right wing of the GOP?

Kramer specifically disavowed after Dillon but he'd been trying to curry some favor with them, had a rally w/Kramer and is trying to get on good terms with Amaras.

And this was before Ram entered the race right?
