The media and public pressure would have seriously hampered his ability to do his job, and the president + WH staff were never too fond of him anyhow, and this looks good for Trump to cut off an Epstein tie.

I'm not too well versed on Epstein's deal from Acosta, I've read that it was an act of necessity by the DA's office, other places that it was a backroom deal, idk. So I won't comment on if he should've resigned.

Wouldn't this be a federal crime though since the crime is between someone from New Mexico and someone from Florida?
