I don't think they would know that she was (incapacitated? could she survive this potentially? people have survived shots to the head). There's an unconcious man, an injured officer and multiple shots fired. The car has come to a stop, perhaps he goes to investigate.

this is the most by committee and bizarre conclusion to a subplot and character this RP has ever done.

He didn't even get the tires. All four of the other shots missed completely that one was the only one that hit anything. One of hers hit the back of the car

It actually makes sense though to an extent. She gave the information to the First Lady, so its not lost forever.

True, but this only adds a layer of mystery to that subplot. I can imagine Aubrey having to pierce this together herself.

If they ID her the weirdness will take center stage

I'm wondering who is going to ID her though. The only people who could identify her are in Washington or have amnesia and I don't know if she's recognizable at all

She’s basically a Jane Doe for now. Maybe when Mateo comes to a connection could be made, but I don’t know.

Nah, she dragged a police officer with the car and attacked her hands, had potentially beaten a man into unconciousness and was fleeing in a vehicle in a cognitive state where she could have seriously injured or killed anyone else on the road.

Framing is basically going to depend on four things. How Mateo frames it, how much he remembers, what kinds of conclusions he jumps to about identity and just how good the investigators are at putting pieces together

Before IDs there's probably going to be more of a focus on Mateo, but the big part of it is still shooting a (teenager?) in the back of the head while fleeing and doesn't come off very great. The hand happening to run over is convenient but probably doesn't publicly annul the thing but depending on his story Mateo is probably still going to be the main

The police are pretty much safe, legally. For reasons mentioned above. The optics aren’t great in the public eye, but again, if Mateo says the rights things, this should honestly be fine. Mentally scarring, but fine.

Oh legally they shouldn't have any problems at all, there's not even anyone left to try suing that would probably fail anyways. It's just public opinion that could be a problem
