He needs to reach out to the Jewish community and make clear he’s not an anti-Semite, full stop.
He needs to say “I fucked up and went too far, I have reflected on my comments and I need to throughoughly study the conflict and the struggles of the Jewish people. Over the next year I will be speaking with the Jewish community in New Jersey to see how I can best support them against anti Semitism”

He raised as much in 3 hrs from small donors as Kamala Harris did in two days.
His video was very good, and his Public Radio announcement was good and low key.
So did many other politicians in 2016. Yet the guy with the rockiest campaign ended up winning. Sit down.

I think a lot of people are underestimating Bernie because he’s an old white guy socialist, whereas you have a bunch of young and attractive minority or female candidates with a ton of his platform. But he is the OG socialist, and authenticity counts for a lot

Of course, with that he’d be forfeiting support from that hardcore pro-Palestine-to-the-point-of-being-anti-Semitic crowd that’s been with him so far in exchange for lukewarm support from Jewish voters- at best.
Even if he says all that, at this point the best he can do is stem the bleeding- but it won’t go away.
He’s done, I think.

The most realistic result would be him not being re-elected as mayor and, as Sanabel said, wasting away much of his political capital.
