I wish I finished my libertarian Democrat app, she would be an excellent swing vote for this pick.

63 Senate Pubs, including an NPC from Illinois, another from Connecticut, one from Maine, Liberal New Hampshire pub, Fowler, Sunshine, McGareth, Carter, And the Unpredictables in the form of Wilson and Kramer, plus potential defections from elsewhere that are 2018 vulnerable, or even elsewhere.

I think this will be more of an undertaking than is expected

Kramer's likely to vote in favour.

Definitely

Would also set them up very heavily against the Prez however

Big time publicity, would have to figure whether it'd be worth it

Doubtful, if she gets certified I don’t see that Main Street could object and remain credible. We don’t want to be just and anti reed group

She’s got problems beyond a pretty questoonable “qualified” rating

Has that even been issued yet IC?

Reed cannot expect Brennan to remain loyally at his side, if he keeps doing these things. The nomination would likely signal the beginning of the end of Brennan's support for reed

The ADF contentious point could be the big one if there's a push there, which could get interesting, since theoretically a libertarinish like Fowler could end up with a similar take as soccons on religious lib, and I think McGareth has talked about religious liberty

If that ends up being the main thing debated on instead of youth/first judge appointment then it could basically take one of two angles, either getting into a Masterpiece style debate on the religious liberty angle or get put up as a knights of columbus sort of association angle for stated positions in org. The first might not jive with the group but the second could easily touch off again on a culture war spat that's already seriously hyped up with the empty N Mex seat

I'm thinking Fowler's call with the mainstreet going along is probably best for the caucus politically but the Dems/Progs have a definite interest in driving a wedge between the libpubs and the mainstream

Of course that caucus and its effect isn't public yet (I think?) so it can't be schemed against IC

ABA rating should be in yeah

Appointing conservative fed society judges has been a pretty mainstream GOP angle. Specially with him in the House it would seem a weird thing to object to

Brennan probably would be fine with Kavanaugh pick, a more mainstream experienced judge. But he takes issue with justices from hard right organizations

Stevenson will probably praise just the pick as a female justice and throw in some Reed sycophanty and not go any deeper

He's not?

I'd see him having this trouble if he were a Sen but not as much as a Rep

He would probably muddle the waters a little, say something as everyone should vet this candidate throughly, as he does not want to alienate Reed too much

Brankers... I am having a lot of trouble trying to decide which way he would vote. To him he likes the ADF for its defense of religious liberty but dislikes it due to its opposition to gay marriage and gay adoption, both things that he supports.

Probably leaning towards a grudging "Aye"

Brennan is not interested in committing what is in essence career suicide by taking the job. He does not want to go down in history as the SecState that lost France and made Turkey a geopolitical enemy.

Oh Stevenson as Sec State... oh God... Reed is about to have negative stats in diplomacy
