Did Hakkon's maneuver nearly kill Katya? Oof, that's rough.

These theories are pretty interesting, especially the Displacement theory. The thought of a buncha fairies escaping to the moon in a rocket is kinda hilarious for me :)

Ah, sorry to hear. I will say that while there is a whole lot of lore, it's not that important, if that's the main obstacle.
Zarkenis Ultima wrote:Did Hakkon's maneuver nearly kill Katya? Oof, that's rough.

Yes! From an OOC perspective, it was super convenient. I actually missed Hakkon doing that on my first read (when I was trying to catch up), and I had meant for her to get separated since the first draft and couldn't figure out a good reason.

Missed a lot of great stuff on the first skim, actually. The crow narrator, burgernuts, Hakkon and the gravediggers, etc etc. Really good material recently.
Observation Post 13 wrote:Wonder if we're gonna meet a dragon or genie in a jar or fairies or other mythical beasts in the future

Well, there was a giant half-spider travelling with a group for a bit. I think they're rare enough to where you wouldn't find anything within twenty miles of a city, but common enough to where a peasant that lives out in the boonies (or, say, Eric wandering around) wouldn't be surprised to encounter one - although that's up to Const, of course.

Minotaurs, some elves, a Lich, living rock people, some mermaids, fish people, some ogres...he's met quite a few.

So, Eric heard Willis' ruckus, Lisoette and Trish rushed after him and Belle ran into Aerion on the way there, as they arrived Aerion decided that Trish had somehow been involved and threatened her and Willis, and then Alexei showed up. Is that about right?

I think Lis encountered Aerion before any of the ruckus - that scene seemed an hour or two earlier.

Eric heard Willis’ ruckus, Lis and Trish (Tristan’s not there? Oops, my bad. Let me fix that then.) followed, and then Aerion bursts onto the scene, thinking Trish and Willis are working together. Possibly. Then Alexei and Katya show up, although Alexei doesn’t want to get involved with the situation and instead chit-chats with Trish.

The dialogue in the end can be rearranged and modified. Just wanted to have stuff for Trish to work with.

Well, Const's post mentions that Lisoette went to check out the ruckus after it interrupted her impromptu reunion, and then came across Aerion on the way there. Though I suppose I could be misinterpreting that. Probably doesn't matter too much, at any rate.

Yeah, Tristan and Hakkon weren't with Lisoette and Trish. I was going to have them arrive at the restaurant later but it looks like that's no longer the plan, so I'll probably have them circle back to the cemetery soon :P You're good on Alexei's end, I appreciate the interaction.

You have the correct interpretation of when Lis bumped into Edgyrion.

Sorry to hear that; you're always welcome if you change your mind.

...speaking of there being too much lore, I finished adding another block to the races section in the OP. I meant to compile tech-level stuff and/or explanations of the magic system, but somehow over the past two nights I instead got the urge to write about the presence of non-human/Elemental people in Gaiaca.

This is pretty cool. Now I've got the hankering to make one of them nonhuman kind, but looking at the number of characters I have, probably not the best of ideas.

I guess Dragon Gods really do have a habit of popping up now and again in P2TM fantasy :P

For folks wondering why Ev can speak Sahranjjan, it is for the same reason that he could pilot a ship back in Carogne: he spent the years between the Great Gallian War and the Wide Northern War as a gun-deck officer on an armed merchantman sailing to and from Garmiccia and Sahranjja and beyond. It's apparently the part of his bio that allows him to serve as an endlessly useful deus ex machina.
For really, I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live as the greatest he. And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.

Welcome back! Great to see you again! It’s good to have Everard back in action.

On a completely unrelated note, what is a “torc”? Is it a pair of bracelets (that’s all Google is showing me)?

More of a neck ring according to my own google search. Rigid thing made of a single piece of metal that you wear around the neck. Mind you I could be wrong, I looked it up for all of three seconds.

EDIT: And there's a post catching Trish up. I was going to have Tristan and Hakkon arrive, but I decided the post was getting quite long as is :P

On another note, I've noticed a recurring theme with demons. What's up with that?

Okay, let's see... the battle from 19th of December, 1781 G.C.C, the claw mark on Ev's armor, and Timur's arm - seems to imply that everyone in town is dealing with some kind of demonic menace. Where are the demons coming from? Is there a hive full of little satans somewhere on Thin Isles? Besides the efforts undertaken by the adventurers, what actions have the military/government of Thin isle done so far against the threat? Why are the demons invading? And can we eat them?
