You know, it was an unfortunate re-naming given that it was supposed to be Hungarian, but everyone here just saw Japanese.

You know, the Sea Serpent thing isn't really that bad if you think about it logically. I honestly was thinking with Portals and so is Erosen...

On the other hand, it really should go without saying that he's obtained the reputation of a cockroach. Like, it's not that easy to kill a skilled Elemental warrior. Even if he isn't a true Elemental and is only a Darkling, he's still fekking hard to kill off. Also, his chosen method is a reflection on his original name, which is probably a more accurate summation of his arc overall. That's an Elementals 2 Easter Egg if I've ever seen one.

I'll be waiting though on Laz to post, because that would bring around the general post-order to Erosen for responses and movement. Const, I'll be tagging you with a general idea of what I'll be posting just in case you wanted to touch on anything, but we should be able to wrap up this fight scene within the next week or so and move on to the island, or recovery. Whichever you had bigger plans for-

Heh, I wasn't even thinking of the Ero-san nickname aspect of his character when I saw that; I just thought of the e-thot as Erosen's equivalent of Leistella.

Somewhere in the thousands of alternative realities that exist, where even this story itself is a historical event... a version of me believes that with all of his heart. The rest of us remember... never mind that his nickname is one of the most re-occurring jokes/memes out there.

Like, I went back and took a look in Elementals 2 to try and find where it starts and it was Natalie's fault. Dangit Neo!

I'll probably get started on another post here tomorrow. Just one question, is the demon's tail trying to smash Tristan against the ice platform, or knock him off onto the water?

Well, hopefully we'll also get a post from Laz sometime in the meantime. Trying to reach out to them through TG since I know they're still active, but probably have a lot on their plate and I can understand getting burned out on a certain RP or idea.

Well, depending on the length of Laz's response, you'll likely be doing that twice this weekend.

Happy trick or treat day from America! Happy Hallow's Eve! Hey Const, what similar festivals does Gaiaca have?

You crafty devil. :p
Kassaran wrote:Happy trick or treat day from America! Happy Hallow's Eve! Hey Const, what similar festivals does Gaiaca have?

Hm, that's a good question. I'm sure they have equivalent holidays, as warding off evil spirits and death and that sort of thing is certainly something that Gaiacans need to worry about. One thought that comes to mind regarding these customs is whether they would use pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns, or the more archaic turnip? How prevalent are New World crops in this predominantly Old World setting? I figure potatoes are present, because I like them, but it's interesting to think whether other plants like tomatoes or blueberries are indigenous to certain areas.

I suppose that's one worldbuilding tangent I could go down when I get enough time at some point, working out assorted holidays in the setting. I remember that St. Vatlanmi Day was coming up in the Black Beast, and no doubt the other Saint-Battlemage St. Kansailva would get a holiday of her own. Saint's Days probably make up a good chunk of holidays. Perhaps going off the precedent that since I think St. Vatlanmi Day was supposed to commemorate the anniversary of her making a surprise attack out of the bay and conquering the city for Adrathur that Helreskfaffen saint days commemorate the anniversary of particularly important acts the hero in question did.

But anyway, back to Halloween. I'll have to ponder that one. Anybody in the thread have good spooky holiday name ideas?

I don't got an answer for that one right now but I reckon it'd help a bit if we knew what Gaiacan/Gallian versions of the afterlife are like? It's been a hot minute since I last read the religion blurbs, but I don't recall them having info on that, just the gods and other stuff.

EDIT: And there's one last intervention from Tristan. Unless I've woefully miscalculated things, the fight should be over soon anyway what with a darkling and a pissed off Angelle inside of the sea serpent, so I figured this ought to work :P

You know, I was actually kicking something around the old noodle in relation to the afterlife for my next post. You know, on account of an elderly man taking a sizable fall into water. He's not dead of course. Just taking a quick visit. I was gonna use it for this cool idea that came to me last week.

Weekly plug for most wholesome Anime I've come across with a decent opener, Tonikawa. Otherwise, I'll be writing up my Belly of the Beast post over today and tomorrow night.

I thought it was pretty cool. Neat seeing Eric linked to the previos weilders of Belle Lame you've mentioned over the course of the story.

Also, Eric is now one of two beings confirmed to have come back from the dead through sheer will/cosmic accident/magical mischief/etc., along with Kayarost.
