I found this nifty academic reference website today. I think this will definitely help my deep dives into random niche historical knowledge that inevitably come about when I write worldbuilding posts.

Not gonna lie, I've just been using Wikipedia and youtube and it seems to be working mostly fine. You just gotta do a bit more looking for some things.

At last the update is up; let the rejoicing commence.

True, I've mostly used WIkipedia myself. It got to the point where the website noticed how frequently I used it, and brought that up against me when it was fundraising season lol so I wound up giving Wikipedia $5.

Woot! Update! And Tristan is famous, double woot :P

I'm assuming joining the Duke's counter invasion force is where we're going next? If so I'm thinking I could have Tristan try and approach the Duke to volunteer for it (maybe in exchange for some aid in getting to Auregen afterwards, wink wink) while Eric claps some Navy cheeks, but if not I'd rather not end up inadvertently trying to derail the story.

You hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't foreshadow a cool demon laser ironclad without giving the group a chance to go fight it.

For that kind of thing, I'd refer you to the International Incidents Board.

P2TM is more for out-of-character non-nation roleplays. There are some cases where this might not be the case, but they are few and far between. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to make a character application.

For a while now in my spare time I've been working on fleshing out Elcrescian histories, particularly in Yelhennei. For the time being I have now switched gears to Yuelkelu after having several ideas regarding them, and have currently detoured to elaborating on their bird version of prize cattle, which would historically get fought over Border Reiver style. I'm not finished yet, but I thought I would edit the OP to reflect the current state for your reading enjoyment.

I also revised one of Weirinsta's primary exports from beads to tourism, because do beads really matter in a schizophrenic 17th-19th-century global economy?

Ask Eric. He probably knows a thing or two about beads.

If Weirinsta had magic beads they wouldn't have spent most of their history being conquered. :p

Sounds accurate. Gaiaca is one wacky world.

Once you have slime girls and women wearing trousers all suspension of disbelief goes out the window.

Also I now had to split off the geography details, because while doing some proofreading of my recent changes and finishing a few sentences I went over the 60,000 character limit that NS imposes on posts.

Verily.

Switching gears, what's something, some sort of national trivia, you lot think I could put in the cell of country charts that is currently used by national maps? I've switched to just using continental ones, meaning it's a useless space on most of them. I could just remove the cell in question, but then I have an uneven amount that looks less aesthetically pleasing.

That's a good idea. The only other thingmy I could think of would be the total area of each country, but sorting that out might get too tricky. Anyone else have suggestions?
