There's a pretty short piece, mostly for Kass to keep going. I have no idea what Erosen wants to talk to Tristan about so I figured leaving Laz's last post outside was the best way to go for now - otherwise I would've had to gloss over whatever it was he brought up.

I figured it was about time to get me to a good break point... given that I'm also about to enter into a school and workout schedule that's going to keep me very busy. Until then, enjoy a brief flashback to the old moody Erosen.

He's not inexplicably angsty though, a guy who tries his best to defeat his inner demons and only gets maligned for it has every right to get angry and upset. For someone who has been bottling up his emotions for a while, he managed to be quite effective at shunting it into words and not actual violence. It just sucks that Katya had to be the one to get the tongue-lashing.

Call it a disgusting amount of narcissism or whatnot, but I particularly liked Erosen's rant in that last post. So I went ahead and recorded myself reading it as I imagined Erosen himself would have. I'm pretty proud of it too. :D

I'm honestly not sure why I felt like that was the appropriate way to read that, but I felt it really emphasized the point that she reacted the same way he's seen so many others do. She's trying to apologize for being scared of what he is, telling him he's something he doesn't believe he is, and he's not buying it because he saw her raw reaction before. This isn't just someone he met, he figured maybe that she was just a little different and she and the rest of her party hasn't been exactly kind to him.

I really liked it. Gave a ton of character to the dialogue.

I would have a post up in terms of her response to Erosen, but there's a couple of flashbacks and then a conversation on the way to the Saint's Seat that need to be written with it to really complete the story so far.

I go digging in the Elementals 2 IC to see if the mountains Lisoette have been to in Galllia were ever snowy, to see if it makes sense for her to be making a simile invoking lots of snow, only to discover I have to retcon what mountains the group goes to at one point because the Aurennian Mountains no longer technically exist.

I also was reminded that Tristan has the best one-liners.

People underestimate the power of the one-liner -nods-

EDIT: The memory mountains still exist though, don't they?

Or did you already edit and that's what I saw when I clicked the link? :P

Damn, nice work. Poor Katya.

Looks like I'm good for the update too, then. I can just have Tristan mull over Erosen's words while on the way to Saint's Seat (or elsewhere/when, if we're going to skip further ahead).

update during the weekend? It'd be nice as it's looking like we're starting to wane a little here. Don't want to lose the new folks getting on.

I have it almost done. Just wrapping it up, and figuring out how to set up the next part in terms of giving characters possible actions.
