What recurring theme are you referring to?

Okay, let's see... the battle from 19th of December, 1781 G.C.C, the claw mark on Ev's armor, and Timur's arm - seems to imply that everyone in town is dealing with some kind of demonic menace. Where are the demons coming from? Is there a hive full of little satans somewhere on Thin Isles? Besides the efforts undertaken by the adventurers, what actions have the military/government of Thin isle done so far against the threat? Why are the demons invading? And can we eat them?

Uh... well, as a few of us have mentioned repeatedly, the whole reason there was an expedition to the Thin Isles is to drive back the demon horde that invaded them. So yes, there's a demonic menace. As for where they're coming from, the answer would be an Inferno - a pocket dimension of sorts that serves as a gateway between capital H Hell and Gaiaca (Earth). This fact, as well as the whereabouts of the actual gateway, is unknown to the characters however.

The military of the Thin Isles is, well, fighting. The Baron himself led his hussars into the fray during the battle outside the gates of Mithsbow, which occurred right on the night before the current day. In fact the efforts of the adventurers were coordinated with the Baron's forces and the Federal troops.

I think you can eat them, but judging by how Erosen ended up, you probably shouldn't.

I really appreciate the posts with Everard and Trish mentioning Aerion btw and I have read them, even if I didn't mention it in my post. In both cases I didn't feel like there was much they did for him to respond to. I did particularly like Zarkenis' descriptions of Aerion and his dull eyes though.

I really liked the glasses analogy.

Actually, his arm is just kind of…like that. Nothing demonic there.

Now, I want to be nice, so I'll put it like this.

No worries, I mean he was also getting chummy with Aerion on the boat, just thought he'd been mistaken. It'd be funny if that was a canonical mistake though.

I'm imagining Tristan and Hakkon having a normal stroll, cracking jokes, getting doughnuts or something while everyone else is on the verge of a magic fistfight.

Wood, Albrheim is still in the U.G.F, with Haventown being the new capital of Albrasfont/East Albrion. At least Baron Franz got to go to the main Albrish victory parade. :P

Looks like I’m probably good to move the situation onwards a little. I’ll have a post up tonight or tomorrow afternoon, depending on whether Joe Burrow can keep the Bengals in it or if it’s a blow out.

While doing assorted research for designing another area the characters will be going to soon enough I stumbled upon this list of old occupations people used to have. New goal is for the characters to meet someone from every profession on this list. :P

Lot of different way to just say "I run a tavern" on there.

Running a tavern may have been their equivalent to getting a business degree from college today. :ugeek:

A propos of nothing, I love the reference to one of my favorite movies in your new flag, Const.
For really, I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live as the greatest he. And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.

Thanks, I figured it was time to take down the Christmas flag eventually. I had seen the film a while ago, and started reading the book this week, so I decided to use it as the basis for my new flag.
