Sorry for falling off the wagon a bit recently. Haven't really felt any inspiration on Elementals recently - been doing some side stuff. Once things get rolling again, though, I should be back on it.

Not was, still is. It's still a work in progress. It's about a Dwarf girl who wants to be a baker. And the best bakery in town is run by an elf girl. Hijinks and eventual romance to ensue whenever I get the next chapters out.

I call it Shortbread.

If you ever feel the need to have it branch out you can always incorporate a murder mystery into it. It's a genre my wife likes reading, murder mysteries set around baked goods or people with bakeries or whathaveye. Some books literally have recipes in them haha.

Mostly pretty level. Underneath the snow it's just a stone road, grass, or wildflowers (well, dead ones at any rate given the season) so no trees to hide behind. Off to the character's left is the aforementioned tiny cliffs, beach, and ocean. To their right is a cabbage field, and past that a ways are pine trees. Since Mithsbow is at the tip of the peninsula, if the characters look a decent ways in front of them and to the right they'll see the ocean again.

New character introduced is an Earth Elemental with the Pioneer Knights, the 'boy and his dog' so to speak, or moreover, mud-golems.

Would you lot care to know a language with worse vowels? Persian Farsi: a language where the long vowels "oo" & "ee" might actually be pronounced "v" & "y" because they share the same letter as those sounds, and where the short vowels literally aren't written down unless you're reading Farsi written for tiny babies. You just have to guess which short vowel to use in a word and where to stick them in if you've never read/heard it before.

Geez, that sounds pretty awful. Kinda reminds me of what little I've read up on hieroglyphs, those didn't have vowels at all either.

I've since learned that the reasonable way to learn another language is speaking it first and then learning to read and write, like a little kid, instead of the way I learned English, but still
