Don't stress too much about fitting in.

Don't forget the Prince of Ice who spent his younger years making ice sculptures to make a living and his wife the runaway janitor from hell who has to hide her actual origin from everyone who doesn't actually know her because she'd be outright killed, or at least attacked. We also have the half-way understandable !notScotswoman who flings fireballs as she casually sips whiskey and ale, an exiled !notRussian Duchess who has to charter an economic trade alliance with a kingdom her country was previously at war with, the !notJapanese Shrine-Priestess-Princess who believes the mostly manly deity there is actually is a woman and everyone else is just dumb, and my personal favorite, one very flea whom has been somehow stuck with Eric since five weeks back in that whorehouse called 'Tits Up'. Previous additions to the group were an animated feminine slime, a half-daemon red-headed swordsman, a pair of !notrelated siblings who now have married, the Ice Princess who didn't know how to talk and prefers to kiss things that may be hotter than preferred and a talking pile of rocks.

Froenstia gives her a vision again, directing her to St. Veowulf?

Technically speaking, it's already stated at the end of her bio that she got another vision to meet up with Froenstia's champion again, so, that could work for a why :P

Mostly concerned with the how. Are we spending long in St. Veowulf? If we're not then a fateful encounter would be kind of rushed, so I might just wait for them to arrive in Albrheim (wouldn't make much sense for her to be on one of the convoys, I feel, as she's supposed to be going south while the party heads north).

Albrheim is a bit of a ways off. I had envisioned some time dealing with assorted tensions in St. Veowulf, and a detour based on the sneaky stuff in Kassaran's latest post that I collaborated with him on as well as some old characters coming back.

Oh, well, St. Veowulf sounds perfect in that case :P

I don't have much thought up of the path Trish's followed since leaving the monastery so if you have any concrete ideas, I'm all ears -nods-

I suppose one aspect to consider about her is what side, if any, is what side Lady Vetrigart took during the war. Or were you meaning a more literal path, as in how she arrives in St. Veowulf?

The latter. I imagine Lady Vetrigart either remained neutral or supported the North, though.

If she was living near Albrheim then she could have sailed down from there to St. Veowulf, either in a regular ship or one of her constructs, or she could have made her way by foot. Showing her going through the highlands and forests on her way could be an interesting way of showing how she's changed some. That actually gives me an idea for her passing through Huntspot, the village from the prologue. I'll think up details for it while I'm at work today.

The Darkling was quickly and roundly greeted by any number of responses and acknowledgements as he reintroduced himself to the party, no one dropping a beat or objecting to his sudden reappearance

Ooh, fun. An excuse for "What did you say about my pal(s)?" Eric to make an appearance...

Just a heads up, I did throw in a bit of an edit. Doesn't make too much of a difference though.

I do enjoy those moments I crack Eric's hippie veneer, and get to show there's a guy under there who has killed scores of people and isn't averse to doing it again.

Just occasionally though.
