In other Const news, I took the PiCat test today, which is basically an online pre-ASVAB, and I think I did pretty good on it so long as you don't dare bring up any of the automotive/shop sections.

There's one lost somewhere in the thread - I can grab it and add anything that's happened since if you give me a few.

Here is the summary.

Basically what happened after that is that the group hatched and carried out a plan to take the pirate ship, which was successful. The group sailed off towards the north for a month or so before encountering a naval blockade, though they were able to avoid getting blown up by posing as diplomats and got escorted to the port city of St. Veowulf, where they are now.

Also worth noting several of the characters mentioned have since gone inactive, so, y'now. The ones I can vouch for sure are still around are Tristan, Lisoette, Eric and Belle.

Sounds like a plan!

Currently, the group is in the process of having to find a naval convoy to take them to their next destination, Albrheim. The Federal Navy (didya read the OP? The Federation is the guys to the south) blocked off all waters north of St. Veowulf for ominous plot reasons with the exception of navy-controlled convoys that periodically travel up a lake to Albrheim, so the party needs to get in on that.

You could have your character need to head up North for whatever reason, it would be a simple way to put him or her on a collision course with the rest of the party.

There's the question of which of those two groups your characters would want to help get out of port, or if they like neither of those options and want to go with someone else. I have more plot hooks in the rest of the city. The guides in the office have more local news that could interest the characters, and since Erosen got to town first he might have some information too. With the 1-year anniversary of the Battle of Champion Field in ten days, and with the Federal Navy having disrupted much of the local economy, St. Veowulf isn't exactly the most calm city in the world at the moment.

I had thought Eric hadn't wandered off chasing women, but was just noticing the women walking by as he followed the group.

One thing I'm now wondering about is what to do if Laz CTE's; he hasn't been on NS since his exams near the end of last month. I have a decent idea of Katya's arc from TG conversations I had with Laz, but I'm hoping I wouldn't have to take her and the retinue over in order to continue the trip to Auregen that's currently driving the group along.

I certainly hope Laz comes back. But if he does CTE, then you taking over her is the only real solution I see, short of the party suddenly getting a different reason to head over to Auregen - though the latter is certainly not impossible to do, and considering the nature of RPs I'm sure a little suddenness can be forgiven there.

Would you lot suggest I add anything to the advertisement to make it more appealing? I was having a tricky time trying to keep the description there short so people don't read a whole OP's worth of story, while conveying a sufficient amount of interesting information about the RP.

I telegrammed Constaniana but then realised I might have more success here Sorry, Constaniana!

I'm kinda having difficulty thinking up a character that fits in the world, partially cause I haven't quite absorbed the world and the current team yet.

My current concept is a sort of ruffian with a heart of gold, a sailor-smuggler-pickpocket who's trying to transport a small but valuable(/extremely magical?!) iten to an important person in Albrheim.

Would this fit in with the group/world, and is there anything already mentioned in the world that this could link up with?

The group consists of such things as a spider-person, a degenerate manwhore with a talking sword that also an Angel, a possibly possessed guy with shadow powers and so on.

Don't stress too much about fitting in.
