History
July 14th, 1958: Soviet officials begin investigating the sudden wierd reports coming out of the Siberian village of Ulmyanskytov. There, they discover an unknown complex prion.
February 28th, 1959: The SCP Foundation gets involved. They strike a deal with the Soviet regime. Foundation and Soviet scientists begin research.
May 30th, 1959: The complex prion is designated SCP-008.
October 11th, 1960: The Foundation takes some samples, and then leaves the Soviet researchers to their own devices.
1961-2022: Throughout the rest of the Cold War, the Soviets begin to turn it into a biological weapon, incase of war with the USA. When the Soviet Union falls in 1991, the funding is cut. However, funding eventually returns in 2014, following the Crimean Crisis. The Russian Federation has changed SCP-008, so that it mutates very rapidly and even made it airborne.
September 7th, 2022: The Russian scientists are forced to scrap experimentation and dump it in the ocean. Not caring for what risks could come out of this.
October 29th, 2023: The disease turns up in Northern Norway. Local populations in the area are quickly infected and zombified.
October 30th, 2023: The Foundation discovers the situation in Norway. Forces of the Foundation, NATO, and Russia begin an assault on the zombies.
October 31st, 2023: Russian president Vladimir Putin announces that they 'accidentally' created the mutated prion. They also publicly announce the existence of the Foundation to the public. Attempts to keep the zombies out of Sweden, Finland, and Russia have so far failed. Mutated zombies are found to be resistant to gunshots. The UNGOC sends troops to fight off the zombie menace.
November 1st, 2023: The disease emerges in Seoul, Tokyo, and Berlin. The cities are entirely infected in less than 24 hours. Half of Norway and Sweden have fallen. The UK considers nuclear strikes on Norway. The US, North Korea, and China begin planning invasions should Japan and South Korea fall. Infected plants as well as animals attempt to cross breed resulting in new mutations and strains of the disease.
November 2nd, 2023: South Korea and Germany have fallen. Half of Japan has fallen as well.
November 3rd, 2023: Norway, Sweden, and Finland have fallen. North Korea and the UK launch nuclear strikes at the zombies. Millions of zombies are killed. North Korean and Chinese Forces have managed to fortify the DMZ. US Forces begin operation downfall. The zombies flood into Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Austria, Czhecia, and Poland. Switzerland sets up defenses and annexes Lichtenstein.
December 3rd, 2023: The DMZ has been breached. North Korean and Chinese Forces are on the retreat. 95% of mainland Europe's population has been zombified. Moscow has fallen to the zombies. Zombie infections have been reported in: Mexico City, London, Sydney, Mumbai, Jerusalem, Cape Town, and Singapore. Containment breaches have also occurred at foundation sites surrounded by zombies. The United States has liberated Kyushu. They then gave Kyushu to the exile Japanese government in Okinawa.
January 1st,2024: North Korea has been reduced to just Pyongyang. The Zombie attack on Pyongyang has become another Stalingrad. Zombies had already made it to Manchuria. Kyushu has fallen to mutated zombies. Most of England and Wales has been zombified. Aquatic Zombies begin attacks on Okinawa, Taipei, and Manila. UNGOC forces land at Busan and Amsterdam. Most of Mexico Has fallen. Luckily, the Mexican border wall has been finished. Much of Eastern Australia has fallen. Half of India has also fallen. Israel has been decimated. Egypt cuts of the Sinai pennnensuila from the rest of Egypt, and fortifies the Suez canal. Zombies also break into Namibia, Botswana, and Lesotho. Many governments in Africa collapse due to massive panic.
January 1st, 2027: Russia, the UK, Ireland, Latin America, North Korea, ASEAN, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, the Middle East, and Southern Africa have fallen due to zombies. The US, China, and Russian survivors launch their entire nuclear arsenals in desperation. Most zombies are wiped out. The 4 remaining nations, as well as some new nations, begin to reclaim land across the world. China is unsuccessful and gets pushed all the way to Beijing.
July 13th, 2035: The Mexican border wall finally falls and zombies flood into California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
January 1st, 2042: The situation in America stabilizes. The US military has dealt with most the zombies on American soil.
January 1st, 2043: The global situation has stabilized. Pockets of zombies still exist around the world. Some former nations are occupied by the Foundation or UNGOC. Most however, are under control of rebel groups, and new nations. But, still, man carried on.
