< Russia >

Diplomacy:

Alexander Kerensky was elected to the position of President of the Russian Republic. He was a comprise candidate, hoping to appease the Mensheviks and the more Conservative wings of the political spectrum. He promised to end the Bolshevik Revolution, win the war against Mongolia, and to gain closer ties with the German government. With this, Ukraine and Belarus were given full independence from the Russian state, but the Crimean Peninsula would remain under Russian rule. However they will remain part of the Central Powers, and will continue to support the Central Powers will all necessary supplies and manpower for their war against the Entente. This was mainly to subdue many ant-Russian sentiments in these states.

Bolshevik Revolution:
The White Army’s Offensive continued as planned. The city of Leninsk fell swiftly to the Whites, as the retreating Bolsheviks wanted to save as many lives as possible for the next phase. Meanwhile, the Whites operating out of the Caspian Sea continued their attack. They retook the cities of Krasnowodsk and Nebitdag from the Reds. The two White forces converged onto the city of Nukus, and forced the Reds to fall back. They liberated the city of Urganch, and began their long march to relieving the city of Ashgabat. As the Whites were advancing in the west, the east was more of an issue. Joseph Stalin put up a fierce fight, but ultimately had to fall back from the city of Oskemen. They were pushed back to the border with Xinjiang, where a contingent of Mongols helped hold the lines together with Stalin’s forces.

Mongolia:
The Mongols put up fierce resistance in the Siege of Choibalsan, yet the Russians would not relent. Even though suffering large casualties from the Mongols, the Russians launched a counterattack against the Mongol lines around Choibalsan. The Russian Air-Force combated the Mongolians, for what they lacked in experience they made up for with twice as many with superior technology. Anti-Air guns were established along the areas of the siege in order to protect ground forces. Inside of the city, Russia troops continued to slog their way through the city streets. They’ve lost a lot of men, yet the city was being ripped apart as a result. Nothing would be left standing. As the Siege of Choibalsan continued, the Russians decided to gain more territory along the border. The Russians launched a general arrack against Mongol lines. Using Moscow-class Tanks and Iron Walls, supported by thousands of airplanes, advanced further into Mongolia proper. After much fighting, the cites of Tes and Hatgal fell to the Russian invaders. The Russians reached the outskirts of Mörön, and began a bombardment of the city.

Vladivostok:
As American soldiers tried to evacuate, Russian soldiers harassed enemy positions. Vladivostok was flanked from two sides, and the Russians accidentally unleashed a dreaded fire that burned down 1/3 of the city and killed 63,000 Americans in the process. After weeks of intense fighting, the Russians had liberated the city from the Entente. Over 200,000 Americans were either killed, wounded, or captured in the fighting. Similarly, 310,000 Russians lost their lives as a result. The city was in ruins, but the Russians had won the day. It was a gruesome, but necessary fight.

Civil War

Southern Front

Lieutenant Algot Rhen had been bitter about the way he had been treated when he came home from Denmark. The way he saw it, he had just done as ordered, and done it well, but he hadn't been rewarded at all, and just nearly avoided degradation. However, now he had been given a second chance. He would again lead his team behind enemy lines in Scania and Halland. Red lines. Red from ideology, but soon also from the blood of traitors and rebels.

But he had strict orders. He would fully cooperate with the British commandos that also would operate in the same area, and most important of all:

No scalps this time.

POW Camps

Internment camps, officially called "work companies", for criminals, communist POW:s, communist sympathizers, and even just suspected communist sympathizers kept being built. Although the staff were instructed to treat the internees humanely, that was often not the case, as the mutual hatred between reds and whites was stronger than ever. Summary executions, diseases, and malnutrition were commonplace in the camps.

Freikorps

Meanwhile, the Freikorps had been organized put under joint Swedish-German command, and been drilled in Prussian discipline. Weather they were fully ready or not was an open question, but nevertheless, they were to march on Stockholm, to take the capital back.

Politics

The government didn't rest. General Mårten Mild had finally been appointed as regent until the young crown prince Gustaf Adolf came of age, and almost as if in return, power had been transferred back to the government, the parliament, and the courts, from the High Command, who now would tend to military affairs only. At least in theory. In practice, it still had lots to say, but it was after all war. This way, it would be harder for the generals to cling to power when peace finally came.

Prime minister Hjalmar Branting also wrote president Kerensky a letter, congratulating him to his victory, and gave him a declared solidarity with the Russian people, as they faced the same enemy as his own people. He then expressed his desire that Sweden and Russia could have good relations in the future.

In the neighboring Finland, to the surprise of no one, the vote on a union with Sweden had been won by the "against" side. Even those who otherwise were in favor of the idea believed that now wasn't the right time, given what happened over there in the west. Some Finnish reds fought there too, and for that reason the Finns had interment camps too, but they were fewer and in far better shape than their Swedish counterparts.

Back in Sweden, communist parties were now banned, and the parties in the coalition had united into one, suitably enough named "Enade Sverige" (United Sweden). Its colors were yellow and blue like the national flag, and the bull moose became its symbol. While democratic reforms had been made for the common man and woman, and other parties were still allowed, Sweden now definitely had only one dominating party on the national level.

Image

"United Sweden" had been formed by the social democrats, the liberals, the conservatives, and the Farmer's League. The party's official goal is, according to its platform, "... to unite the responsible political forces of the country, to minimize the differences between rich and poor, young and old, state, business and society. The economy should combine state regulation and market freedoms, with the benefits of further growth distributed for the most part to the less fortunate. The party rejects left-wing and right-wing ideologies in favour of 'political centrism' that could unite all sections of society."

In addition, the official party platform emphasizes pragmatism and anti-radicalism. It also asserts that "To dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day".

The party calls describes its ideology as "sovereign democracy" and "new nationalism".
"nah man the path to true freedom is tsarist national bolshevik posadist monarchism with Japanese influence as is practised in Barapam." - Vladilan

The New Ukraine

Postby Lanorth » Tue Mar 12, 2019 7:18 pm

Update Upon Ukraine

Pablo Skorpadskyi, the former leader of The Ukrainian State, has passed away of natural causes. Immediately after his death, a new and a better Government seized power. They were called 'The New Ukraine' and believed in a better Ukraine. Their leader was the famous and Entente supporter, Maksym Myroslavovych Kyrylovych Kostyuk, aged 35. He wanted to form an absolute monarchy, making Ukraine the Kingdom of Ukraine, with himself being Імператор, or Emperor. He has successfully, too, managed to seize power. He immediately formed the Kingdom of Ukraine and began to make his position clear. He has ordered all Ukrainian troops fighting abroad to return home and prepare for anything, from invasion to riots. Emperor Kostyuk wants to secure peace and order in Ukraine, Europe and the world. He believes in world peace but is willing to go through any necessary battle, war and is willing to face destruction in order to secure it.

Tokyo, Japan
"War has been declared against the Republic of China"
These words were uttered by the Emperor at the Imperial Diet yesterday which were supported by most of the members in the Diet. The has happened in the light of the recent violations of the Shimonoseki treaty after the Republic refused to pay the remaining war reparations of the 1st Sino-Japanese war. The Imperial Japanese Army has been ready in Korea and Liaotung to fight the Chinese. The fight will hopefully become fruitful in furthering the cause of Pan-Asianism. The man in charge of fighting the Chinese will be Andō Teibi who was the leader of the Chosen Army. The Second Sino-Japanese war is about to begin.

Chinese-Korean Border
The 1st crossing of Japanese soldiers into the warlord stricken China has happened a few hours after the Emperor's declaration of war. Even though the Republic is functionally non-existent, the Japanese government and its army recognized the warlord lands as the Republic's. This kind of claim meant that the Emperor has declared on all warlords within China. The resistance was fairly light as warlord troops were elsewhere. Victory for the empire will be expected.

Ports in Taiwan
Taiwan will be an important naval base for the Japanese as the IJN prepare to blockade the whole Chinese coast to cut off all Chinese supplies,
whether they are Republican or warlord ships. It will however let through non-Chinese ships after being searched.

Tokyo, Japan
Japanese citizens have been celebrating the declaration of the war in the streets as they were pleased with the Empire restoring peace to Asia. Due to nationalism, it has been regarded as good news all over the country for most of its people. There were a few who were displeased by the war due to concerns of being a waste of lives but they did not stop the celebrations from continuing.

<Russian Revolution>
The generals of the Bolsheviks are anxious. They have suffered heavy losses since the two generals, Stalin and Ulyanov, had risen to power. It is as if a new fire had entered the Russian generals causing them to finally fight back for real.

The order to the western front was received. It said to tactfully retreat to the capital, Tashkent. The forces were now more organized and could more effectively defend against the horde of the whites. The forces that were sent to Mongolia returned.

"Can you brief me on the situation" said the emperor

Chinese Front
Our glorious soldiers have advanced this week and are now near Shenyang. The exhausted Fengtians soldiers cannot hold back our advance.
Some Chinese civilians have been treating our soldiers as liberators. The front has not been particularly interesting for strategic command that half of them got drunk the last night. Some of them joined us to further Pan-Asianism. Here is a map showing our advance.

Brussels
With the war and the bloodshed continuing the Belgian government and people are split between the subject of joining the war or staying out of it the ruling party were the Belgian nationalist who supported the Entente at first but withdrew their support once France became more and more authoritarian,The paranoia amidst the Belgian public and government only grew more and more as Belgium watched Petain turning France into a dictatorship Many were worried about the fact that the french people -so far- have just stood by and watched as all the fruit of their revolutions rot

congress
The president has requested the permission to issue an emergency mobilization of forces along the border with France and fortifying the border with Germany which the public seem to forget about the congress agreed and Belgium mobilized its army and reserve

public opinion
The Belgian people at first were afraid of the German empire due to their location the people were sure that Germany well try to go around the heavily defended border with France and
Instead push through Belgium even though the Germans have yet to do this the fear grew larger as Luxembourg was overwhelmed and invaded though the Belgian government started to worry about the french instead, the people well soon follow as the Netherlands was shown to be pro entente the fear that Belgium might be partitioned became more of a reality
The population is split between pro Germany and pro entente
While the government is more German leaning

To:the German imperial government
From:the Belgian president Charles
The republic of Belgium requests a non-aggression pact between Belgium and the German empire
To ensure Belgian safety military access well be granted to the German armed forces after the treaty is signed.

The Neds
Every hour trucks bearing the Italian flag proudly on their sides drove into warehouses all across Ned's inner territories. Brand new weapons, that immediately went into the hands of his outlaw army, tanks that drove into the beds of trucks, artillery planted around Port Augusta and other key points in the territory, crates upon crates of bullets that nearly reached the ceilings of the warehouses. But best of all, cold currency. Valuables, that would always be worth something no matter what happened. Gold bars, gems and the rarest of metals and treasures flooded in. Appraisers toiled endlessly trying to come up with a number for how much it was all worth, but Ned knew in a heartbeat.

Ned stood at the door of one of the largest vault the Neds possessed, built directly into a mountain and originally where the Worm had been constructed. It stretched for nearly a mile underground, with half a dozen military checkpoints just to reach the doors. Behind them, wealth was haphazardly strewn throughout the concrete chamber. Literal mountains of valuables being seen all throughout it. All that stuff? It had to be worth well over a hundred million, nearly a billion maybe. Even a lifetime of bank robbing wouldn't come close to what Ned now possessed.

Italy's gracious donation had transitioned the Aborgine and Ned coalition from an unfortunate obstacle in the path between the King and the Kaiser to a power to be feared. Engineers under the protection of the Neds were constantly working on designs to give them technological edge. The worm tank was a weapon unlike any other, but even then, it was one weapon between the bitter rivalry of two major world powers. After months of toiling work and with the benefit of a significant boost in funding, they had come up with something.

Walking tanks, nothing like the Russian Iron Walls, instead these were simply men masquerading as war itself. A suit of armor built as strong as a tank, needing an entire engine built in to even run properly. Making a soldier as strong as twenty men, capable of taking a bullet to the head without even a flinch. Ned had built a division of these suits for his most trusted soldiers to embark into, these titans of infantry immediately becoming a part of the largest horde in the Neds.

Image
Tank-Men

Ned had ordered a suit built for himself, and the mechanical additions to his body further expanded upon. The best engineers the Neds had to offer got to work on Ned just as the French had once before. His legs were reinforced significantly more than they had been before, making actual close-quarters combat a possibility. Another addition was a significant surgery on his back. His spine being replaced with a mechanical one and made to be a chassis for an engine that was grafted onto his back. The engine was built to fit into a customized suit of power armor for Ned, where it would hook into a larger portion of an engine to create significantly more power for the suit.

Image
Ned's Personalized Tank-Man Armor

The Neds were geared for war. Every man and woman in the outlaw army was armed with a gun, whether they knew how to use it was a different story. They had finally settled themselves as a formidable opponent, and would flex this power on the Polish forces that had stuck their noses where they didn't belong. The horde set out, heading westward while waiting for the signal. Aborigne scouts scattered across the lower western half of Southern Australia where the Kaiser's forces were believed to be going, teams of scouts watching the roadways for a sign of the cavalry. One finally reported a sighting, somewhere near Penong. The car horde changed it's path almost immediately as the broadcast arrived, the army of vehicles riding in unision through their forsaken territory towards the invaders. Until finally, after passing Penong by nearly a hundred miles in pursuit of the cavalry, noticed a cloud of dust on the horizon.

And the cavalry had undoubtedly saw them.

Tens of thousands of heavily modified monstrosities of vehicles carry raiders and Italian marauders alike, some carry tanks, others carrying scores of power armored soldiers, and the Worm tank burrowed closely behind the convoy underneath the red soil. The Neds had come ready for a slaughter, and in only moments they'd prove it to the Polacks.

< ITALIAN EMPIRE >

[Diplomacy]

The Italian government decided it was finally time to go the third way. Italy officially left the Entente Powers, leaving their allies behind. Italy decided to form The Alleanza to unite all nations willing to side with Italy and their quest to becoming a global superpower. As a reward, they would benefit greatly by succeeding in all of their ambitious goals. Detailed invitations were sent to the nations of Persia, Kurdistan, Australia (Ned Kelly’s government), Portugal, and the Empire of Japan, with the hope of forming an alliance to counter both the Entente and the Central Powers. Each letter was different, offering promises and gifts to each of the nations if they decided to join Italy’s alliance.
Image

[Homefront]

Much of the Homefront was silence after the March Uprisings had plagued the nation. However, much resentment towards the Imperial government still persisted, and it would take the NIS time to effectively put down these dissidents. Meanwhile, the government took steps into making labor reforms to ease the people’s minds. A 10-hour work day was instituted, along with a increased minimum wage up to 3 Liras per hour. Basic living standards were instituted, and mandatory breaks and time off was given to workers. This did satisfy much of the moderate leftist groups, but the more radical communist and syndicalist movements still persisted. The Italian government had also reorganized the administrative districts in Africa. Establishing Italian North Africa (Tunisia and Libya), Italian Egypt (Egypt and Sudan), Italian East Africa (Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia, and Somaliland), and Italian South Africa (Kenya and Uganda) as administrative districts within Italian Africa.

The Italian Army had engaged the rebellions in Africa. The Darfur Insurrection was over before it really even began, as the Italians launched a devastating first strike against them. Firstly, they defeated Darfur’s military in the Battle of Al-Fashmir, Darfur’s capital city. Secondly, an aerial campaign devastated much of the weak and poorly equipped Africans. Lastly, the Sultan and his family were killed while trying to escape the capital. With all of this, the Sultanate of Darfur opted to surrender itself to the Italians, being fully integrated into Italian Africa. The Senussi order was attacked at multiple points, as the Regia Aeronautica bombarded their positions. Much of the Senussi was decimated in the initial attacks, and were forced to turn to partisan warfare in order to remain alive. Meanwhile, the Dervish State brokered a deal with the Italian administration in Abyssinia. In exchange for laying down their arms and being annexed into Italian Africa, they would be able to retain some autonomy and self-rule over their territories. This allowed for a diplomatic solution to be solved before any real military conflict could occur. Yet, they were not so lucky with the Ethiopian partisans, who continued their brutal guerrilla warfare against Italian rule. The Italians continued their strategy, seeing it had some effect at weakening the power of the partisans. The Italian government promised its people that Africa would be pacified slowly but surely by the Italian military, and it would soon be open to mass Italian immigration and land purchasing in the Continent once it’s safe.
Image

[Military Actions]

Franco had denied Italian support, a foolish but respectable move. The Italian government decided to withdraw all support for the nationalists, including the weapons already sent, and stepped out of the conflict. They turned their eyes to the Swedish Civil War. The Italians decided to divert their military aid to the Swedish United front, to fend off the Communist insurgents in their territory. An undisclosed amount of weapons, munitions, and medical aid to the Swedes. However, it was reported that some of the convoys were robbed by Communist pirates operating in the Baltic Sea. This did give the Communists at least a semi-equal footing to that of the United Front, but not enough to give them any kind of advantage.

In the Australian Civil War, Ned’s forces and the Italians worked well to train the outlaw army into something to be feared. NIS operatives had trained the outlaws into a force that could rival even the Germans if given the chance. Intense Prussian doctrine mixed with Italian experience made them a fierce fighting machine. Ned Kelly was seething at the mouth after seeing the riches the Italians gracious provided. In addition, 2 Dragons were also sent in secret to the front in Australia to aid the Italians and the outlaws. Marshal Rodolfo Graziani led the Italian Expeditionary Force (IEF) East against Government forces. They were assisted by some of Kelly’s outlaws and the 2 Dragons sent with them. Advancing Southeastwards, they took the coastal cities of Bundaberg, Brisbane, and Gold Coast. The front moved all the way to the Darling River, and also stalled around the outskirts of Melbourne. Fierce resistance from Government forces as well as the Polish Foreign legion prevented any major breakthroughs, yet the front moved considerably in favor of the outlaws. The animalistic warfare of the outlaws was combined by the sophisticated but brutal fighting style of the Italians, creating a force that would scare any a man fighting against it.
Image

{ NIS Operations }

Sun Yat-sen did not want to have to fight his own brothers if he didn’t have to. He sent a telegram to each of the warlords, requesting their aid in unifying China and defeating the Mongol hordes. Sun promised each of them a place in the new Republic, and riches beyond their hearts desire. He also reminded them of how the Mongols treated the native Han Chinese, and how they aren’t as reliable as first perceived. Yet, the choices were in their hands. Meanwhile, the DAC moved comfortably through southern China. Millions flocked to his cause, claiming that Sun was the true leader of China and that previous
man, Yuan Shikai, was a pretender. The provinces of Jiangxi, Fujian, Hunan, and Guangxi was liberated rather swiftly by the DAC. Yet, they came into contact with the forces of the Yunnan and Sichuan Cliques. A battle near the city of Wenshan was inevitable. However, Japanese Intervention in China proved rather difficult for the war effort, as it temporarily blocked Chinese forces from receiving aid from the Italians. Yet, Sun knew that the NIS would find a way around the blockade. They always found a way.

Meanwhile, Italian convoys were sent through the Bosporus Straits to secretly send supplies to the newly aligned Kingdom of Ukraine to aid them in leaving the Central Powers. Over 2 million guns along with tens of millions of bullets were sent to Ukraine, in addition to some armored vehicles and artillery. The Italians sent Ukraine much needed airplanes and airships to build up their Air-Force along with some naval ships to help rebuild their navy. Medical equipment was also sent to help heal wounded soldiers. Generous loans were given out to the new Ukrainian government, as NIS operatives were sent in to aid in training up their armed forces to fight the Central Powers.

Japan joins The Alleanza

Postby The Philippine Islands of Luzviminda » Fri Mar 15, 2019 5:21 am

Today, the Emperor decided to join The Alleanza. The Alleanza is a faction formed to counterbalance against the Entente and the Central Powers. He agreed to join the alliance under the conditions of recognizing the claims of Japan in Manchuria, Shanghai and Hainan. The army and navy has now been ordered to enforce those claims. The Emperor is also ordering the navy to let through Italian supplies to the DAC.

The Western Front

Image

All along the western front artillery batteries opened up. New technology had been taken from the governmental files in Switzerland detailing plans and schematics for a new type of artillery. One that could revolutionize war forever. The problem with artillery barrages before offensives was that it took a long time to dump enough explosives into the enemy trench to destroy it and in that type reinforcements and reserves could be brought up. But with this new weapon in only a few short minutes, they could demolish their foes with ease. Nebelwerfer, they called it. To hide it from the Entente they had named it as such. Along with Belgian permission to move forces the Germans attacked. On the German-Franco border, a million soldiers supplemented with the elite stormtrooper core attacked. The French were taken completely by surprise and the first line of Trenches was punched through with ease and little losses. Meanwhile, Luxemburg under the cause that the French sought to occupy the nation was swiftly occupied by the newly reorganized 12th army. The police and militia only held the German onslaught back for an hour before the Government, driven to a remote rural town, surrendered. Through this gap, the 12th army was now in open field but was bogged down in constant counterattacks that cost both sides dearly. In Belgium, the 7th Panzer division, 7th Army, and 8th Army were ordered to take up positions of the Franco-Belgium border and prepare for an offensive towards Paris. But an offensive would more than likely than weeks to prepare. Meanwhile, the French army was forced to withdraw on most of the front but Metz was held against all odds. Despite the 57th Infantry Corp and the 27th Artillery battalion assaulting the outer defenses the French held. The Germans took heavy losses before the outside defenses were finally broken and the defenders were driven into the city proper. Brutal urban combat took place with both sides throwing their reserves into battle. For a week the city was aflame and the western half in ruins before finally. After tens of thousands of deaths, the Germans forced the French to withdraw from the city proper. All along the front, the French were driven from German land but the German advance was stopped by a massive counterattack by the French before they reached French land and people. The Germans were caught completely surprised, believing that the French army had completely collapsed and was driven back to the border. Several forces were encircled and destroyed. Rommel's 7th Panzer division was diverted from Belgium to assist in stopping the French counter-attack. Using the Luxemburg gap he led his forces to break through the French counterattacks there. After stopping the French counter-attack Rommel launched his own attack that broke through the French rear guard. He rapidly advanced through French countryside beating off massive and constant counterattacks. At the gates of Verdun, Rommel disregarded commands to halt and await more forces and began to assault the city. However, French tenacity and spirit stopped him before he entered the city itself a counterattack led by Petain himself threw Rommel 20 kilometers away from the city. Facing growing supply issues and losses Rommel was forced to withdraw further but not before destroying strategic objectives such as towns, farms, supply depots, and bridges. After a week of brutal fighting the French front stabilized but in a few weeks, another offensive would undoubtedly be launched from Belgium.

German Losses
-----------------------
-37,000 Soldiers
-17,000 Stormtroopers
-54 Light Panzers
-41 Medium Panzers
-12 Heavy Panzers

British Front

Image

With airfields and ports gained in Belgium Germany now had access to the English channel and more importantly an air route to London...

Motti dogged a burst of flak before diving on a smoking British plane. One burst was all it needed to break the biplanes body before casting it into the city below. The zeppelins were getting closer. In less than a minute they would be over London. A British plane slipped through the wave of German fighters unleashing a hail of bullets into the sides of a Zepplin but Motti made sure that the pilot never fired another burst. Thousands of planes were now joining the scrum above. Instead of taking shelter the Londoners, who had never felt the pain of war, crowded into the streets to watch the distant fight above. To them, the thousands of planes looked like distant flies biting at each other. They looked on in fear as the shadow of the German airships came over them and screamed as thousands of bombs were dropped. Anyone caught on the street was killed. The bombs were the size of cars and hit with the force of one. They destroyed houses and made streets unusable. But his was not the end. Suddenly though the cloud thousands of Gotha bombers emerged flying low over London. The wave of Gotha bombers was like a cloud made of mosquitos as they advanced on London. Suddenly several exploded and Motti looked for the source of the fire. A British airship was coming out of a cloud. Motti looked on as the Bismark class airships opened fire with their deck cannons. The British airship suddenly exploded in flames and fell onto the city crushing dozens of the people she had sworn to protect. Motti signaled for several fighters to follow. Surely more airships were to come. Sure enough, two more British airships emerged from the clouds but they did not expect an ace and his flying circus to attack them. The circus came from above diving upon the weak decks of the airships releasing their bullets, rockets, and bombs. The two airships only managed to take one fighter plane down before both were torn apart by internal explosions. Their wreckage fell upon London and crushed dozens of buildings and their inhabitants. The Gotha bombers were now above the destruction wrought by the airships and released their payload. But instead of targeting civilians they attacked army checkpoints and Flak emplacements. They avoided any fleeing civilians at all costs and this cost them dearly. Dozens of bombers dropped like flies before they flew too high for the Flak to reach them. With their job done the commander ordered all ships to withdraw before the infamous Victoria class airship came.

"I bring you most saddening news. Only a week ago... an entire army was wiped out. The 12th army more to exact. On the banks of the mighty river of Gazzeh, they assisted the evacuation of over a million civilians. But as night came our foes stepped from the shadows. Such cowards and brigades they were that instead of allowing the civilians to flee so that they could fight our 12th army in the field they bombarded the bridge and killed many that never deserved it. They attacked our lines again and again. Even against the pure might, skill, numbers, and savagery of the Italians, they refused to give ground and leave the civilians undefended! Suddenly, explosions wrought the bridge caused by the Italian artillery. Realizing the danger the Italian artillery posed against the bridge and the refugees crossing it they attacked! They left the sanctuary of their trenches! They charged across the open desert and faced the feared marauders. Despite overwhelming odds, they took the artillery batteries. As the last family and platoon crossed the river, then and only then did they attempt a tactical retreat. But the bridge was destroyed while the army was crossing it leaving half trapped on the other side. The trapped elements made a desperate last stand despite being outnumbered forty to one they held for hours inflicting massive losses on their foes. But they eventually fell and the commander of the force, my very dear friend, Marshall Jannick walked out of his command tent. He fought with his men to his last. I have authorized the German high command to figure out if any of the 12th army survived on the opposite bank. We have, as of yet, found nothing. But we found something. A few months ago our famous Bodenkraft escaped from El-Amin and fled into the desert upon our betrayal by the filthy Italians. They have waged guerilla warfare in the desert. But with our foes starting to tighten the noose they split in two. One fled to Palestine, where our scout found them and brought them to Berlin. The others, numbering maybe half a hundred fled south to our most famous general. Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck. Our lion of Africa! We have received mixed messages on whether they have reached the lion but I have full confidence in my BodenKraft that they have reached him. They shall fight the British in the jungle and make them pay for their evil acts upon the innocent native people. This is my monthly speech to the people and the Reichstag. Goodnight and pray for our brave men on front defending Germania and he people!"

< Russia >

Diplomacy:
There was still hope for a Central Powers victory. With the unexpected entrance of the U.S. into the Central Powers, the British and French were in a tight spot. Not to mention, the Alleanza had formed as a direct challenge to both the Entente and the Central Powers. Yet, Russia sticks with the Central Powers this time, as they still have to take down the Bolsheviks and the Mongols.

Bolsheviks:
The Bolsheviks had fallen back to their defensive line around the city of Tashkent, showing the Russians that the Bolsheviks were near their defeat. The Russian White Army launched one last major offensive onto the disorganized Bolshevik lines. In the far North, they pushed Stalin’s Army back to the city of Zaysan. Further South, the Red Army faced the full might of the Russian Armed forces bearing down upon them. The cities of Shymkent, Zhambyl, and Shu quickly fell to the Whites, as they advanced to the Ile River. They had advanced to the outskirts of Bishkek, as the White Army encircled the Bolshevik capital city of Tashkent. The entire Soviet Government, along with Aleksandr Ulyanov was besieged along with 350,000 men of the Red Army.

Mongolia:
The Mongols continued to put up a fierce fight in defense of their homeland, yet the Russians continued their offensive. They pushed deep into the Mongol heartland, losing many good men along the way. In the West, they advanced to the Hungui River, and took the town of Urgamal. In the East, they pushed far into the Mongol lines, all the way to the Herlem River. In a fierce fight that took over 160,00 lives, the city of Ondorhaan fell to the Russian invaders. With this most recent offensive, they got closer and closer to the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. The Russian Air-Force was gaining ground against the Mongols, as the Russians were continuous supplied new airplanes from the Russian industries as well as German and American support.

Battle of Shanghai
After a lengthy naval bombardment of Shanghai, Japanese troops have landed in Shanghai. The naval landing had 10,000 men landed in Shanghai, about 500 which died in the initial landing. The Chinese were fierce in defending the city but the Japanese troops won the battle with 3,000 casualties. (~1000 dead, ~2,000 critically wounded)

Conquest of Harbin
After the Conquest of Shenyang which made the Fengtians surrender and Battle of Changchun sustaining a few hundred casualties, they finally made it to Harbin. The city was shelled for a few hours before sending in the troops. The casualties were minimal but the collateral damage was great. Only enemy willing to fight were usually came one at a time and the rest surrendered. This marked the effectively the end of the Manchurian campaign. All that was left was to sweep the countryside.

The Russian Front
The Russian frontline had been costly. Though scores of Russian troops had been slain in a fight to save Mongolia, the conquest continued through the ancient steppes that hordes had once rode across for generations. Mongols were not afraid to defend their land against the Russians, though a problem had arose in the south.

Sun-Yat Sen's proposed unification was built as a threat towards Mongolia's future. Anti-Mongolian sentiment as clear in it's creation, and if it was permitted to reach it's full potential it would be a clear threat that could endanger the dreams of a new empire. To stamp out this unification, a frontline with Russia could no longer be tolerated. It simply required too much manpower and took such precedence to maintain, fighting a new frontline in the south was an impossible achievement. Yes, a shadow war with the manipulation of the Chinese warlords could have went on as the Mongols fought Imperial Russia; the Japanese however who had once been thought to be idle in the great war, had entered and encroached onto Chinese land, and had since moved northwards towards the borders. Fighting a war against the Russians and the Chinese was already a titanic task to undertake, with the addition of the Japanese getting involved, it was quickly becoming impossible.

Peace was the only option.

And to face the threats in the south and achieve the dreams of a New Mongol Empire, an alliance was necessary.

Image

The Treaty of Choibalsan
The Russians had lost millions of men to a front that the German Empire had pushed them towards. No Russian soldier had a desire to die in a gas attack for land that they had no intention of even wanting in the first place. The Russians desired peace as much as the Mongols themselves, and so a mutually beneficial agreement had been met at a meeting of leaders in the once besieged city of Choibalsan. The demands of the Russians were simply a piece of territory in eastern Manchuria, which the Khan was happy to give, and the Mongols simply didn't present any aside from fuel. A ceasefire was not the only benefit of this treaty, an alternative reason had brought the two parties together to create the treaty.

If the Mongols were to form an empire to be remembered, they required allies that did more than take rather than give. The Entente locked away in western Europe could provide little in the way of support for their ally. Italy, once a respected nation by the Mongols had refused to send aid to the nation in it's time of need. New allies were a necessity, and the Central Powers were happy to abide.

The treaty was signed at dawn, no bullets would fly that day on the Russian fronts. An evacuation of foreign forces began, encampments of Russians packing up and returning north to their own borders or heading eastwards through Mongolian Manchuria to claim their rightful territory. It was beyond likely that distaste still soured the air between the armies, leadership on both sides determined that it was best for them fight separately on the same fronts rather than as a cohesive unit.

In turn, the Steel Horde looked at their neighbors to the south. Though they had invaded China once before with mere regiments of Motor Cavalry, the Chinese had not faced the entire might of the Steel Horde before, let alone a horde unified with Russian strength. Immediately after the treat had been signed, orders were carried out to the Motor Cavalry across the front lines to instead head to the Chinese border. The Aerial Fleet was given the order to unify, load up, and deploy south while being accompanied with 5000 airplanes to unite on the southern border. The War Pig was similarly ordered to rendezvous with thousands of riders to prepare for a deep strike into China.

Image

Second Mongol Invasion of China
Sun-Yat Sen's forces could not be allowed to unify, and similarly could not be allowed to influence the warlords into considering unification. Telegrams had reached the four cliques sent to deal with the DAC, and responses were given from the warlords that received them in time. The Yunnan and Sichuan were already primed to attack the DAC, at that point the warlords were in no position to consider the offer with the Chinese, as skirmishes and minor battles were already underway. The Shanxi proved their loyalty as a strong tool of the Mongolians, as General Xishan did not even give the DAC the benefit of a response, ignoring them outright and keeping his army on it's path towards their borders. The Anhuim however, were more easy to break. Several warlords of the Anhuim responded to the request with acceptance to join the DAC's cause towards unification.

This was a respectable, but dangerous choice to make. The presence of Khanate Intelligence in the leadership of the cliques was known by those in power, but it's total involvement was still underestimated. As soon as the warlords of the Anhuim accepted to bite the hand of the Mongols, the Khan was notified.

Over the course of the coming week the Khevtuul Guard left the borders of Mongolia and the traitorous warlords were found murdered. Despite their protections and ranking, they were found killed in various unfortunate ways. Slaughtered by bandits in the woods, stabbed by their mistresses, outright assassinated in the streets. After 5 of the warlords of the powerful Anhuim clique had been killed, the warlords that had accepted Sun-Yat Sen's request retracted their statements soon after. With death of their generals, several armies of the clique had no choice but to return to their homes until the power vacuum had been filled.

Yunnan & Sichuan Cliques
The armies of the two cliques were quite honestly, scared for what was to come. The last time they launched an attack like this at the start of the Mongol invasion, they paid dearly. Every man in the army knew someone who had been killed in the fighting, even now, months later the cliques still felt the impact that the battles had done to their armies. And although every man in the force was demoralized, they too knew the truth of their situation. The warlords that lead their armies were scared, scared of becoming unified and losing their chance for glory as rulers of China. It wasn't uncommon for soldiers of the armies to desert and attempt to get to the lines of the DAC, but nevertheless despite the state of the force, there were still soldiers flowing towards the DAC borders, lead by generals as fearful as they themselves were.

The Yunnan force came into contact with the DAC soldiers just miles outside of the city of Wenshan, near the town of Zhujiezhen to be precise. Scouts reported that the DAC were moving towards the city unbeknownst to the warlords leading the army. They did not expect the DAC to come as soon as they did, and Wenshan was hardly defended. The massive army numbering 280,000 could not hope to turn around and retreat to the city in time. Instead, the army set itself up on the roadway, sending ahead mounted cavalry regiments for a preliminary assault of the invading force while thousands of soldiers were told to charge behind them and meet the invasion force head on, despite their unprepared state.

The Sichuan armies could have united with the Yunnans to become a quite credible threat against the DAC, but in the nature of warlords, they were too stubborn to even consider giving up a portion of the power they could achieve should the Mongols sponsor their claims on China. Instead of moving with the Yunnans against their common foe, the army instead pushed through the wartorn Guizhou province. They marched for days and onto weeks before finally descending into the Guangxi province. The force of somewhere around 300,000 men took to the roads with , marching from town to town liberating them along the way on their path towards the city of Hechi.

The Great Manchurian Mapping Error
An error has occurred in the location s of the army. It turns out it only managed to conquer 1/3 of Manchuria while the rest were captured by Mongolia. This has been an embarrassing mistake by IJA cartographers.

The war presses on
The Great Manchurian Mapping Error will not stop Japan from conquering all of Manchuria ruled by Asian nation's. The Mongols are a threat to united China and therefore a united Asia so the Diet has advised the Emperor to continue the war in Manchuria now against Mongolia. The Emperor followed this advice and formally declared war on Mongolia.

The Invasion of Hainan
The Navy has blockaded Hainan and has landed 20,000 troops in Hainan. The troops has managed to capture most part s of Hainan and will clear out the rest.

The Sino-Japanese Reconciliation
Japanese envoys have been sent out to the leader of the DAC, Sun Yat-Sen. They have been sent to apologise for the hostile actions and to offer military aid for reunification. It due to the fact that Mongolia is suspected to have planted influence in the warlords. Military aid comes in the form of equipment, technology and intelligence. We will wait and see if they accept.

Homefront
Peace had finally arrived with the Mongol Empire. Both nations saw the dangers of a unified China and far worse a stronger Japan. The Russians had lost to the Japanese once before, and weren’t so keen on doing it again. The Russian government sent a telegram to Japan requesting them to make peace with Mongolia. If they refused, war will be unavoidable.

Bolshevik Revolution
With the new peace treaty with Mongolia, Mongol support ceased to the Reds. With this, troops are now being diverted to the Bolshevik Frontlines, and airplanes launched a detailed campaign against the Reds. An attack was launched from the North and the Northwest areas of the front. They defeated Stalin’s Army in the Battle of Ayagoz, and forced them to the border of Xinjiang. The White Army advanced and took the cites of Aqtoghay and Taldyqorgham from the Reds, encircling Stalin’s Army in the North. The Whites reached the outskirts of the city of Almaty, and began bombarding the city along with Bishkek. A lack of support for the Bolsheviks saw their armies declining in strength, and the withdrawal of the Mongols gave the Russians the manpower and supplies needed to outpace the Reds.

The Manchu Battalion
The Manchu Battalion were formed out of volunteers which were former Fengtian and Zhili soldiers. Also among the ranks of the Manchu Battalion were former Manchu civilians affected by the Mongol Invasion. The Manchu Battalion will fight under the Chosen Army.

A Manchu Soldier's Story
I was a farmer when the Mongols came. Life was a little bit tough due to the warlords bickering and fighting with one another but I thought no army would reach my home. I was wrong in that regard. The Mongol soldiers came through my village. My village was set ablaze by the Mongolians. All I had to survive on was the money from selling off last harvest. I had to flee withe rest of the refugees. Then I had decided to flee for Shenyang. The Japanese then invaded but treated all with absolute care. Knowing that we are going to be attacked again, I have decided to enlist in the Japanese Army. I will gladly fight to protect my home even if it is under a foreign banner. I am proud to march under the battalion of my people.

The SIno-Japanese Cooperation
The DAC has publicly accepted Japanese cooperation. This has pleased the Emperor as this will help fulfill the goal of Pan-Asianism.

{Republic of China}

Sun Yat-sen had made a lot of progress in his mission to unite China. While he was forced to give up Hainan, Shanghai, and Manchuria to the Japanese, he had managed to secure peace and cooperation with the Japanese against a common enemy: Mongolia. The DAC managed to conquer much of the Chinese Coastline, and subdued many of the warlords in the area. The DAC had managed to liberate many provinces, and capture the strategic cities of Nanjing and Chongqing. The DAC advanced and liberated the Liaodong Peninsula, and continued their offensive towards the old capital of Beijing. The remaining warlords, besides the Yunnan, Sichuan, and Shanxi Cliques, had agreed to unify with China against the Mongol Invasion. A common sense of unity and brotherhood unified much of the main Chinese population against the Mongol Invaders. With this, much of the Chinese heartland was unified by Sun Yat-sen’s forces, yet there was still much fighting to do. Yet, the Mongols had occupied much of Chinese territory, and the DAC was sent to what remained of the Anhui Clique to subdue Mongol presence in the city.

The Yunnan and Sichuan warlords had foolishly divided their forces to combat the DAC. Many of their own people flocked towards the Chinese ranks, as a contingent of the DAC met in Wenshang to combat the Yunnan armies. Their force of around 280,000 men was met with a sizable 625,000-man army of the DAC near the outskirts of the city. The two forces clashed, as the Yunnan Calvary charged at the Chinese forces. Heavy Flamethrowers burned down the first wave of advancing Yunnan forces, but they didn’t get a chance for a second wave. The Yunnan army began fighting itself, as Chinese loyalists began clashing with those loyal to the warlords. When the dust settled, the Yunnan Army laid in waste, as tens of thousands of their own men flocked towards the DAC. Ironically, the DAC ended up with more men then they lost. The DAC advanced towards the Yunnan capital of Kunming, as the warlord agreed to surrender in exchange for being able to flee China. Yunnan was under the control of the Republic of China, but now the DAC had to face the Sichuan Army near the city of Hechi.

The Far East

Image

A long line of trucks stretches from Kiev to Moscow. German engineers had been working for days constantly. No break had been given and exhausted units had simply been swapped out or forced to build at the wrong end of the barrel. They built through the night and through the brutal Russian nights. Desperate to complete the road the most despicable things have had to be done. Slavs are taken from their farms at gunpoint and shoved into the ditches with shovels and only one instruction from a Russian commander, a man that had sworn to protect them, "Build". For two weeks they built until the road was completed but not before a hundred had to be buried, loyal German builders thrown into mass graves with the filthy Slavs. Now the trucks brave Siberia to reach only one destination... The Chinese border. In their boxes carry weapons of mass destruction. Weapons birthed in the dark underground labs of Berlin. Weapons that should never see the light of day. That should be buried in the earth and forgotten. But here, in a war that is engulfing the world, they have been dragged out of their boxes to only be delivered to the savages of the far east, the Mongols. The Kaiser had protested against such dangerous weapons be given to the very same men that had bombed the many eastern states of Austria but the cabinet, looking only to victory and not what it will cost sent the weapons anyway.

Among the weapons is one. One that will change the face of warfare forever. It no more than a pistol with a wooden stock yet it holds the firepower of entire infantry squads. It is light, easily carried by the horse riders of the Mongol army. They call it the machine pistol and over a thousand are being shipped to Mongolia along with the plans to manufacture them. They will reach in less than a week.

Bolshevik Revolution

The offensive continues as the last Bolshevik forces were dealt with in the
North. The White Army continued its assault on the city of Almaty. Bombers devastate the city as the the soldiers began their assault. Moscow-class Tanks clashed with the Marx-class Tanks decimating their armored vehicles. Artillery bombardments and Iron Walls supported the assault, as the city fell within a few days. After a connived assault of tanks, infantry, and artillery bombardments, the city of Tashkent soon fell along with the majority of the Bolshevik Government. Bishkek fell after a swift assault from the elite 7th Army after a week long artillery bombardment. For now, the armies stopped and prepared to dig in and replenish their forces, as aerial bombardments began attacking the last major Bolshevik cities left.

Home Front

The United States was now officially at war with the Entente. Meetings with the Germans proved their innocence, and that the ship that sunk the American one was really a British ship in disguise. They did this in order to drag the Americans on their side, but their plan failed. President Woodrow Wilson decided to go to war with the Entente and seek aid from the Central Powers. However, many people still held anti-war and anti-Central Powers sentiments, and as a result much of the public was furious at the American government.

CANADIAN FRONT

With the war declaration, America has been preparing for its offensive into Canada. In the east, the 6th Army Group marched from Maine into new Brunswick. St. Andrews was the first city to fall, as the Americans marched towards St. Fredericton. They encountered little to no enemy troops as they continued their advance. At the same time, the 5th Army Group advanced and laid siege to Montreal, managing to capture important roads and bridges and began to fortify their positions. In other areas, countless skirmishes across the border resulted in many Canadian towns falling to the Americans.
Air/Naval Front
The Americans enjoyed Air supremacy over their Canadian ememies. The United States had a total Air-Force of 20,000 airplanes and airships. These ranged from various fighters and bombers to 5 Woodrow class AeroDreadnoughts, 10 Louisiana-class AirCruisers, 20 San Diego-class AirDestroyers, 8 Manhattan-class Heavy AirDestroyers and Washington-class Light AirCruisers. However, the most valuable were the 4 Liberty-class Aircraft Carriers. Bombing campaigns have been launched all across eastern Canadian ports. Specifically Halifax supply depots and munition factories were a primary target. The United States Navy was beginning to arm itself against the superior Royal Navy. They had 8 dreadnoughts, 13 battleships, 20 cruisers, 29 destroyers, 34 gun boats and various other smaller vessels. Within 3 months, 2 new dreadnoughts as well as 2 more cruisers and 2 more destroyers were set to be completed.
president woodrow wilson also wants a new ship to be build a carrier battleship hybrid this is what he wants, he sais if it can't be done right now after the war is also good.

(The german player has left)

The western front

The Belgian government has allowed German troops to pass through their land his was a welcomed surprise for the German high command, and they well use it the schlifen plan which was originally created to go through Belgium into France has been edited to suit the situation, and so the German air fleet started a massive bombing campgain all across the front started which lasted several days and devastated french defenses morale and troops followed by hours of artillery bombardment then the order was given...to push, the 1st army advanced to the city of belfort and it fell but not without mounting a fierce defense which slowed the German advance but the plan proceeded the 8th army group advanced from the Belgian border into Verdun at the same time the 4th army advanced and assaulted the city the artillery bombardment has devastated the city and its defenders and in a few days the french forces were encircled as the french struggled to re organize their forces the German 8th,9th and 10th armies were ordered to push their target was boulogne the German panzers were advancing fast followed by infantry that secured the flanks and maintained a supply line the french forts and bunkers were easy targets for the German air fleet and the generals made sure that the panzers were supported by them
The armies continued their attack and pushed the french forces away from the Belgian border and the city of Lille was the first to fall the disorganized french forces were being harassed by the German fighters and the push continued but not with ease as the closer they got to Paris the more dedicated the French were but by the end of the month the city of boulogne was under siege

The far east

Orders have been sent to colonel Hitler he is to stop and returnk to Germany as well as the train that carried the Germany secret weapon was ordered back the reason is that Germany can't risk war with japan which was an Italian ally

(Editing Later)

The Defense of Mongolia
Military command of the Steel Horde had convened to establish a plan relating to their situation now with two foes to contend with.

The armies of Mongolia had gathered on the southern border, awaiting the call to begin their invasion of the menace in the south, but that call would never come. It had been decided that with two foes now to contend with, a deep strike at the DAC would leave the homeland exposed to attack from the Japanese. A grand majority of the forces that had gathered on the southern border instead were told to return to their posts, or rather to begin defensive exercises. While the command of the Steel Horde debated on what their next move would be.

Attacking either power directly would leave them more exposed to the other, providing a much better opportunity to attack. With the amount of territory that had been lost in the second Russian invasion, paranoia was widespread through the horde. They would not permit their brashness to be their downfall again. Instead of giving either of the enemy the opportunity for a clear assault, tacticians began to work out the logistics of building a massive defense in preparation of war. And a solution was decided.

A wall of cavalry around the nation. Prepared to intercept invading forces whenever they dare step foot into Mongol soil. Massive outposts were built up around the borders with minimal defenses. These outposts were not built for sieges, instead being built to house thousands upon thousands of cavalry riders whether motorized or mounted. Rather than build defenses on miles of trench lines the Steel Horde counted on the speed of their army to react to foreign forces.

Southern Locations: Sunan,Golog, Chindu. Golmud, Central Keriya, Otog, Huade, Ongniud, Horqin Youyi Zhongqi, and Harbin

Northern is: Jagdaqi, Tangyuan, Tsagaan-Ovoo, Khuder, Alag-Erdene, Asgat, Tes, Sagil Mountains, Tsagaannuur, Northern Burqin

With the imported shipments of German machine pistols, the mounted cavalry quickly regained it's relevance in modern combat. Rather than rely on bolt action rifles and repeaters the riders would focus on their riding rather than accuracy and would only increase in effectiveness in battle.
