Aegis

As nothing came up on her radar Aegis sighed. After a while however, she received a message from one of her teammates. "My pleasure." Smiling slightly, she closed her tablet, keeping at her side via a hook on her belt attaching itself to it as she ran out towards where they were last recorded. "Engaging initial charging phase, set to highest possible charge." As she ran towards the area, her lab coat fluttered behind her slightly as the generator hidden under her clothes came to life, a light blue hue and spin signifying such. "Give me a moment to locate the water source." She communicated via the comms channel.

On her tablet there was a recording ping of more excessive water flow than normal for a regular leak. Coming to what may possibly be the start of it, and seeing where they were pointing out to her, she charged her gauntlets for a moment as she jumped upwards. As she was in mid flight, she ran the final calculations before adjusting her gauntlets to discharge enough to deal damage but leave enough to continue combat. Slamming down on the water, she released a massive charge of electricity as far as the governor would allow her. "Electricity off, get out of there!"

The Huntsmen

The Tactical thinking that went in to the Sheriff's decision to move out of his cover, give away his position by breaking a large plane of glass, and duck in to a building would have been truly lost to the Young Huntsmen had the plucky gunslinger not appeared a few moments later on the roof of said building.

The German Lad cocked his head back and thought for a moment before he remembered that, while powerful and strong in their own ways, many of his team mate lacked any real *military* training. Had they, say the Sheriff in this instance, had basic room clearing and CQC course under his belt, and remembered who was on the OPFOR team opposite Alpha, he would have known that the Roof tops were likely all off limits to him due to the likely hood of, say, a certain German armed with the sight of the gods and aim nearing his own in accuracy and a high powered rifle, zoning in on him as soon as he step foot out side of the roof access door.

Alas, said Gunslinger did not and so he stood there, weapons drawn, as he drew a bead on the heroes below. With a Sigh and a moment to adjust his scope for range, wind, and the slikly minor refraction of light caused by the glass pane in front of Erwin's Own rifle, THer Huntsmen centered his aim on the upper chest/lower neck of the American, emptied his lung, and squeezed the trigger.

Despite having a "Simulation" round loaded, the rifle kicked and roared as the blank fired. Its Simulated "Round" flying towards its target.

Allen Crane

The one thing Allen didn't expect or prepare for when adapting Floran was to be shocked by his own team. Ageis very kindly didn't give but a split second warning until AFTER the charge released.

His muscles seemed to lock and his stomach flipped as his whole body burned. "Fuck!" He yelled over comms. Before he could berate Ageis for attempting to deep fry him, he felt a vibration on his arm. Still inside Floran, he pulled his face from.the organic mask and looked at the wristband, now glowing red. He was out of the competition by his own team. "You've got to be kidding me, Marilyn! That was the most rookie move I've ever seen. You shout 'clear' BEFORE you shock a lake with me in it!"

Allen's tirade was cut short by a figure moving too fast for the eye to see. Peregrine snatched him from the lake and carried him and Floran outside of the wall. Still fuming, Allen extracted himself from Floran and turned to look at monitors to see how the match was going.

Fionn Szabo
Kaiju

The Seaweed fight of the century had been brewing up, and Fionn would be lying if he said that he wasn't hyped up for it. He and Allen had engaged in some back-and-forth punnery, and then engaged, as per the classical rules- but then, something else entered Kaiju's field of view, leaping high above the water with blue light trailing all around it.
Higher Japan wrote:Aegis

It doesn't take a genius to know what the ballsy Tinkerer is planning. She's kind enough to jump way up over his lake, making herself extremely hard not to see. Allen isn't within deadly range, so Fionn's about free to deal with Aegis as he wishes. He forms a 5 foot circle of air around himself, pushing the water away from his body- with some difficulty, he notices. Likely Florence trying to make his life hard. Still, keeping the water away from himself stops him from being shocked.
The Cyberiad Council wrote:Allen Crane

Peregrine swoops down and retrieves Allen in the blink of an eye. "Overgrowth is down. I've got Aegis." Aegis, as previously mentioned, had been kind enough to swan dive directly into Fionn's lake. He raises the water up, enveloping the Chinese girl, dragging her downward to the ground to pin her underneath the water pressure. Her bracelet would go red before she drowned, he figures. "Can confirm, Florence is running interference with me. Amethyst, Vektor, keep a lookout for her. I'm gonna go for the flag.”

Aegis

As Allen was knocked out, she had no expression. Only a poker face that remained absolute down until Fionn pinned her down. As she began to drown she ran a quick calculation. Within 30 seconds her bracelet would most likely go off. Yet at the same time she still had energy stored within her generator as a reserve. Through the comms channeled, she communicated to others of her intention this time.

Although it still sounded most like water she did try to tell them to get away. 10 seconds passed. Concentrating herself, the generator spun once again as she released the remaining electricity left in the generator into the water she was surrounded by. If she was lucky enough once the electricity hit Fionn she could recollect the remnants of the electricity and continue combat. Still a shame that Allen got knocked out.

Peeking out from her position behind the dumpster, Alice saw that the blob of water covering the central park was at just about the limit that she might throw a flash-bang grenade.... Given the time through the air, it might detonate before or after it hit the water.... The feeling of being useless in the face of the other students' powers tried to darken her mood, but she fought it off. What the heck, at least she would have done something.

Speaking into her comm-link, Alice let the others know what she was going to do, "Flash-Bang-Depth-Charge going into the water in about ten seconds. Let's see if it draws anyone out."

Alice calmly began her count down....

Fionn Szabo
Kaiju

He takes more than a moment to pull his lake back around himself, working against Florence's increasingly irritating interference to pull it back into place while keeping Aegis in place. But when his gloved hand touches the horizontal surface of the water, a shock passes through him. A sharp jolt that travels up his arm and all down through his spine, like a million needles. He pulls his hand back out of reflex- electricity. Even a momentary contact left him feeling light-headed, and that's only because of his regeneration kicking in to undo the damage. He looks at Aegis, still submerged. A ragged breath comes out of him, filtered through the helm of his costume. He's not angry, or even disappointed. Fionn's feeling something more along the lines of being impressed.

"Ballsy. I like it." Of course, his response to the jolt isn't really something you do when you're impressed by someone. He hurls his mass of sewer water, and Aegis along with it. They'd be sent flying from the park, propelled further and further until meeting a sudden stop against the side of a building, with the -thunk- of a student and the torrential splashing of his lake water. Without a care as to whether Aegis had been eliminated, Fionn turns around, striding towards the flag- and picking it up this time. His water's being pulled back, regathering around him- a smaller amount than initially, as Florence makes some of it hang back. It swirls about him as a defensive shield, to protect the flag as much as Fionn himself.

"I have the flag. Gonna hold onto it as long as I can."

Aegis

As she slammed into the building, Aegis felt something wrong immediately upon landing. The water was the last of it. Rather, the nerves in her body were responding oddly. Electric shocks fluctuating at different parts of her body. As her bracelet sounded off, her drone returned to her while she felt her back. She soon felt it in her generator. Moving her hands across the circular frame that was the generator, she felt something wrong. A crack. The generator had been damaged by the impact, after all these years the generator had held up all these times but this time it finally broke.

She ran through the possibilities. For one if the generator failed and couldn't be repaired this meant she had to either go through a surgical procedure to remove it or have it replaced which would be more expensive. At the same time she could perhaps perform a 2nd self diagnostics but seeing as how her electric shocks were fluctuating it was more than likely that the generator was damaged and that she had to most likely get it under control a soon as possible.

"This is Marilyn Willow. The internal generator has been damaged, requesting for permission to go through a diagnostic after extraction."

Maintaining concealment from the Alpha Team base building, Alice moved, out of sight, until she was about two hundred feet from the center of the park. Through the rippling water, she could make out Fionn's location. It was about as far as she could throw. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Alice pulled the pin on the flash-bang grenade and threw it with all of her strength!

It sailed through the air, hitting the top of the water and it's chemical fuse detonated it almost simultaneously upon it's impact. The light of the flash was muffled but the density of the water greatly amplified it's concussive force!

Alice didn't stand idle, wanting to admire her handiwork. She beat a smart retreat back to her position behind the dumpster.

Ting. The sound of a grenade being prepped catches his attention for a second, making him turn. The sound of a splash on his lake gets his attention even further. Fionn barely registers the little cylinder floating atop the water's surface before it explodes, in a light that makes him shield his eyes. The concussive wave of the blast splashes water all about, and knocks Fionn back through it a good few feet. His back hits the ground as his control over his lake falters, and his grip on the flag tightens.

Under his helmet, he blinks rapidly in an attempt to clear the white from his eyes- something that his regenerative abilities cover, putting his optic nerves back in working order. As his blindness ebbs, he stands himself back up- tensed and expecting a follow-up attack. "Still got the flag, they're still on me. Could use some backup."

Earlier

Charles had to think for a bit, but an idea came to his mind at last as the others made their way to their desired locations. He wished he acted sooner, as he decided to ascend skywards, but, alas, Erwin too the elevator up before he could do much. Wishing to preserve energy and take time to think, he merely opted to wait. Eventually, the elevator came back down, and he stood inside, stewing in his thoughts, looking over all the details in his mind. Eventually he came to the second-most top floor. He didn't want to distract their marksman in case something happened where he'd be needed immediately. He headed towards the stairwell, and headed to the roof.

He listened over the comms, but he felt everyone else was doing fine. But he came to regret that the moment he came top-side only to see Marilyn take out Allen instead of Fionn. Honestly, he had thought that the plants would dillute the electricity, but a pit formed in his stomach the moment he heard Allen scream. He continued to survey, before deciding to head to the rear of the building, just before the crack of a rifle range out. He took several moments in a stretch before he started sprinting , picking up speed as he went along like a bullet train until he reached close to the ledge, in which he bent both knees, and jumped.

Now

He caught air. The wind caught his hood and pushed it back, and then he landed with a loud crack that fractured a good chunk of the roof he landed upon, a new building, before continuing to pick up speed, doing the same as before, eventually making his way onto a roof with a decent view of the park where the flag was. Absolute chaos. The hill of water was obviously Fionn's work. He surveyed for a moment before contemplating how next to act. Then, he activated his comm.

"Charles here. Try to bring them into where the buildings are. Keep em on as tight a leash as you can, though."

Andrew "Snake Eyes" Marke

Snake Eyes had his snakes spread out throughout the arena as he sat in his hiding place near his team base. His milk white eyes flickered a glow as his vision switched between each of his dozen of serpentine friends, much like some sort of camera security system.
As Lenny, the King Cobra slithered around, it spotted just exactly the kind of enemy Andrew was tasked with finding. It was Erwin, The Huntsman, apparently having a stand off with the other Andrew, the Sheriff.

"I see you." said Snake Eyes with a grin, as he signaled Lenny to strike, "Time to play my part!"

Eager to help, Andrew gave the signal to the King Cobra snake who immediately made it's move to strike. Lenny swiftly moved towards the hunter and grabbed hold of his leg with it's long body, wrapping tightly. In an effort to bring him down, the king cobra bit down on Erwin, injecting only enough venom from his fangs to incapacitate.

These rapid elimiations were keeping Peregrine busy, fortunately his powers made quick work of it. In a blur, Marilyn was plucked from the street and deposited in the same area as Allen. Arsenal and Jacob Gross, the School's main resident doctor were waiting for her.

Next to be extracted was Erwin, and with another blur he was plucked from his vantage point with an impressive shower of glass. With the snake removed too fast for the eye to see, Erwin was deposited on the waiting area. Peregrine shot back into the air to wait for the next elimination deemed by Cypher. Meanwhile a nurse was rushing over with a modified antivenom.

Andy "Sheriff" Woods

Earlier

Andy heard the loud bang from the Huntsman's sniper as he shot at Andy. Sheriff felt his body seem to act on it's own as the familiar adrenaline feeling of his Hyperkinesis kicked in. He moved as fast as his body could go swiveling so the simulation round wouldn't hit his head, but he felt his arm band buzz and saw it flash yellow. He had been hit in the shoulder. The adrenaline pulled his arm up instinctively and he fired a few rounds into the building of his sniper enemy, but Sheriff didn't really expect any to hit the Huntsman because he didn't take his time to aim. Andy watched and listened for the sniper to shoot again so he could pinpoint his location but he seemed to be distracted as Andy wasn't shot at again.

Now

After Sheriff watched Peregrine swoop in and take away the Huntsman's body, Andy realized he was free to help Fionn. Andy saw Alice throw a flash bang at Fionn so he decided to pin her down behind the dumpster. He started by shooting at the dumpster to keep her there and as soon as Sheriff ran out of bullets, he decided it was time to show off his other power. He held up his left hand and felt the heat build up and saw the blue flames appear in his hand. Andy reared back and launched the fireball towards the dumpster with all his might, with his hyperkinetic powers subtly adjusting the angle of the throw. The blue flame hit the dumpster and the fire engulfed parts of the side and top but anyone on the other side would be fine. What the flame did do however was give Andy enough time reload his gun so he can continue his assault on the dumpster. Andy kept rinsing and repeating; shoot, flame, shoot, flame.

Dammit! thought Alice, where's Flo! The Sheriff is on my case! but as good as the Sheriff was at switching between firearms and powers, he couldn't simultaneously reload AND throw fireballs, or he'd convert his own weapons into fireball ammunition.

Cowering behind the dumpster, Alice developed a plan. She took one of her bootlaces and tied a flash-bang to the arrow blunt. Then she counted shots and fireballs to determine the Sheriff's rhythm. She knew, from his fire, pretty much where he was shooting from.

When she determined that he was reloading the pistols, she pulled the grenade pin, came out from cover and loosed the makeshift projectile, compensating for the extra weight, hoping for the explosion to give her a better chance to retreat.

Maybe he'd shoot her in the back, but after making her shot, Alice tore out towards the nearest door into a building....

Dammit all, Charles thought.

He wasn't about to do this all alone. The shots of Wood's revolver rang out frequently enough for Charles to figure out exactly where he was at. His plan would have to wait, he supposed. Considering everything was taking place around the park, it didn't take long for Charles to hop towards one of the tall buildings overlooking where Alice was, and Andrew stationed on a lower. He noticed Alice was about to run from the dumpster. He had to distract Andrew, and do so fast. And so he kept towards Andrew, landing just in front of him.

A loud and thunderous smash cracked the concrete, leaving a small crater in his wake. Fire engulfed Charles' upper portions as he stood straight up.

"Howdy, pardner," he said ominously before pointing his fingers in a mock gun style at Woods.

"Draw."

He heard the arrow from behind him, but he didn't look back. He had seen Alice tie the flash bang, and thus, dug his feet into the surface of the roof and charged as fast as he could at Andrew...

Fionn Szabo
Kaiju

By the time Fionn gets his sight back to a degree that he can pretty much tell what's going on around him, he sees... not a lot. No one's capitalized on his momentary incapacitation or anything. A mighty crash from up above signals Charles' entrance into the fight- and Fionn's cue to get a move on. He checks the flag in his hand again- still intact, not swapped out with anything else. Gunfire and fireballs rain down from Sheriff's position towards the alleyway- obviously, someone's got Fionn's would-be assailants under control.

So, being unhindered in his movement, Fionn heads right back to the manhole he'd emerged from into the flag area. He leaps back down into the sewer, bringing the flag with him. The water still remaining below gathers about him, welling into a mass that submerges him, before rocketing Fionn towards the Omega team's base.

"En route to the enemy HQ with the flag."

The Huntsmen

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mh0di7Dh7A

To say the alarm one feels when feeling a pair of needle like fangs sink in to their legs is high...would be an understatement. Snakes were a rare thing in Germany, mostly because the harsh coldness of the winter's there tended to kill most off with the exception of a few hardy breeds, and so, beyond basic "Stick him with antivenom" training, Erwin in all of his years of Military training and experience, had little in the way of knowledge of treating a snake bite beyond that.

Naturally, not ever having bitten by one before, one can imagine the surprise the medic felt when the armored German man with a large rifle made it 4 steps towards her before collapsing on to his hands and knees. Ripping his helmet off, it would be clear to all that he was having some sort of reaction to the Venom, as little a dose as it was.

He would feel his throat begin to swell and burn, with a similar pain traveling through his spine and as his heart rate would quicken, to his chest. with a gasping sigh, he would lay on his back, the medic sticking the needle in the exposed skin of his neck. Unknown to her, while the antivenom would stop the poisons work on his nervous system, both the venom and the chemical meant to hamper it would contain the vary same chemical compound that was causing the reaction.

A reaction that was swiftly sending the lad in to cardiac arrest and respiratory failure, a deadly duo of conditions that meant swift action had to be taken in order to keep him from dying right then and there. She would call over another pair of medics would both open medic bags and begin to treat him until a proper ambulance would arrive.

He would stare up at the sky, seeing visions of Valhalla and his ancestors that awaited him. These would be the last things he would see before the lack of oxygen sent him drifting in to unconsciousness.

Andy "Sheriff" Woods

Andy heard the giant land onto the building behind him and turned quickly to face this huge man. Then the flash bang hit. He instantly went blind only seeing only white, instinctively he finished the reload he was in the middle of and squeezed the trigger firing all 5 rounds in the direction of the gargantuan 3rd year. Right as Andy's vision started to clear he saw the mountain of a man moving towards him at a sprint. Sheriff realized he wouldn't have time to reload before the titan reached him. He made a desperate dive to his right (Charles' left) praying he reacted fast enough, as he was diving through the air Andy holstered his hand cannon and pulled out his other massive revolver.

'This is a mighty fine conundrum I have gotten myself into.' Andy thought to himself as he was flying through the air, hopeful Charles won't hurt him to badly if this cowboy gets caught.

Johan Vermaak
Vektor

Standing behind the tinted windows, Johan watched with amusement the ongoing turn of events. Marilyn had just performed the first takedown of the match, a surprising yet very welcomed teamkill, frying Allen before being thrown like a ragdoll towards a wall. Erwin had been apparently taken cared off in an unknown way, as Peregrine swoop down to extract him. Meanwhile, little Charly had crossed most of the arena, jumping from rooftop to rooftop like it was fucking nothing.

"Ag man! Was hoping for an interesting match, but I sure as hell wasn't bloody expecting this"

Now, with the Huntsman down, Omega team lacked their strongest ranged asset. This allowed for a much greater deal of movement and opened up Johan's ability to scour through the streets for enemies without fear of being sniped.

With that in mind he calmly took a few steps backwards before sprinting towards the glass panel, continuing his window-smashing spree, and diving head first into the open. Once midair, he accelerated himself downwards, reaching the ground full force and even amplifying his impact for good measure, leaving a decently sized crater on the road. Satisfied with his unfettered and completely unncecesary show of force, he dusted himself off before speeding along the road, checking the alleys for any remaining Omega team members.

As he searched along he started to curse himself, as no enemies were to be found. While some of his teamates were doing most of the work, Johan was watching the spectacle and being far to passive, which was unlike him. He was surely going to look like a coward and a fool, and he could not allow that. However, 60ft away and well hidden behind a dumpster, a chance to redeem himself appeared. In one of the alleys was Florence, facing towards the park and doing hand gestures, aparently her way of using hydrokinesis. Johan had hit the jackpot.

Without a second thought he launched himself towards the target, which was covered in some sort of wings made up of water, although he would be unable to reach his full speed in the short distance, he should reach half of it, enough to knock her out of the exercise.

"Hey, fish-tail." Johan shouted with only a few remaining feet separating them.

Papillion

As she entered the building she hadn't entered before, Alice knew that she hadn't been much help. Things had just totally gone badly for Team Omega in the opening minutes of the drill. Still, for now, through some skill and some luck, she still hadn't been eliminated from the exercise.

Alice pushed the elevator button, to ride up to the penthouse. Inside the car, on the way up, the loose combat boot, the one she'd unloaded had to come off. Likewise the other boot because she would be terribly unbalanced. She kept the other bootlace, just in case....

The elevator door opened and Alice exited in her stocking feet. It wasn't the penthouse or the roof, but the floor beneath the roof. She needed to find the stairs to the top. Hopefully, Team Alpha would still be busy against the remaining members of her own team....

Andrew "Snake Eyes" Marks

Andrew grinned and gave a laugh as Lenny took out the sniper, only to be removed by Peregrine, who rescued the victim. Lenny stared at where the Huntsman was seconds ago, licking out at the air with his forked tongue before slithering away to find other snipers. Rango, in one of the trees, meanwhile, kept watch at the entrance of several buildings, particularly Sheriff's and spotted some unwanted company.

"Heads up, Andrew, we got an intruder in a building close to you. the boa constrictor signalled telepathically into his master's mind, "Go after her and be careful. I'll come with you... Take the Elevator. I see her on the uppermost floor."

Snake Eyes frowned and nodded despite not feeling that it is right to leave his hiding spot, since he was ordered to hide. Still there was an opponent and Andrew always wanted to prove to be as helpful as he could. So he stood up and got out of his bush before sprinting towards the building, Rango slithering onto his shoulders to act as eyes for him. It didn't take as long for Andrew to find the elevator compared to going in blind, and with a press of button got onto the exact same floor as the intruder.

"Where is she?" Andrew asked in snake tongue as they walked down the hall, before getting down onto one knee. He flickered his tongue to pick up sent before his milk white eyes flickered. "She is heading to the stairs. Maybe already on the roof. Let's go after her!"

Rango gave a nod of affirmative before his master sprinted in the direction of the sent, eager to track down the enemy team member. Most likely this could lead to a fight, but a fight was something Andrew could use to get some exercise.

Papillion

Now, what? thought Alice, arriving onto the roof. She had seventeen arrows left, but only two grenades.... If anyone was looking for her from the sky, she was in the shitter, but she was still okay, for now. However, behind her was another matter....

Breaking an arrow in two and using her bootlace, Alice hastily rigged her third Flash-Bang grenade as a booby-trap on the rooftop door. It was tough, but she barely managed it. It might not blind or stun an opponent, but they wouldn't be sneaking up on her the way she'd come up.

Satisfied that she'd done what she could, Alice gently moved, trying to keep a low profile, to the edge of the building....

Andrew "Snake Eyes" Marks

Snake Eyes walked down the hall as Rango stayed on his shoulders looked around. "Stairs on the right, Andrew. the boa constrictor told his master, "Be ready for anything, especially for a fight. You got your knives ready?"

The snake man checked his sides to make sure and nodded when he felt his blades. He continued onward, turning towards the stairs to climb them. The door was all that was there at the top and it was apparently open. Andrew stopped for a moment, thinking and planning, before moving forward to open the door.

BANG!

Something exploded loudly, not causing any harm or flash in Rango's eyes, but leaving a terrible ringing noise in the boy's ears. "Jesus Christ!" Andrew shrieked, putting his hands to the side of his head, "I'm blind! Not deaf! Christ, what was that?!"
