The Italians have advanced and taken several French cities and most of French North Africa is under Italian occupation but luckily I (The German Empire) are not at war with you. Luckily for you it seems that China is leaning towards the entete and Japan is more powerful in this timeline. Oh, and America joined quite early that OTL.

the moving fortress: the moving fortress is the latest innovation in the French defensive strategy. It is exactly what it sounds like, a fortress that has seemingly been plucked out of the Earth put on wheels and packed with artillery of every description. The fortress was designed so that any unstable line in a French campaign could be reinforced quickly and effectively, the fortress also acts as a deterrent to bombing raids due to it's large compliment of AA guns.

Burrower torpedoes: although the French strategy is mainly focused around defence Burrower torpedoes are a rare example of fortress buster technology in the French military. The buster torpedo is a small tube packed with explosives and a drill attached to it's front, upon being fired it will burrow beneath the Earth until it reaches it's target or runs out of fuel.

Bunker crabs: bunker crabs act similar to the moving fortress as their purpose is to help fortify a line quickly. Bunker crabs are effectively large metal boxes with 6 iron arachnid like legs attached, upon reaching its destination the bunker crab will burrow into the landscape and act like a regular bunker.

Tripods: the tripods are machines that were usually used in Indochina exclusively yet with war going south quickly large amounts of them have been brought to France proper. Tripods are effectively machine guns mounted upon three mechanical legs with a small pilot's pod in the middle of three legs. The tripod is fast, cheap to produce and can navigate most environments however they are quite easy to destroy.
