Upside of Gergan: You get to meet a dependable way of gathering highly efficient labour for a reasonable price!
Downside of Maelon: Ahh, it's all destroyed anyway. Don't bother looking. Just leave the refugees hiding in the ruins, what's the worst that could happen? Not like there's any slavers about.

All that was dealt with. Got 80 of the 100 folk who we’re nabbed for Wealth III. Seems like they couldn’t find the other 20 or so. Sold to nomads and wasteland folk. Will keep an eye out for the last 20, though.

You could have saved yourself a lot of time and resources by just offering to buy them back straight away, you know. I could be half way ~~back to Brexonburn~~ to Maelon by now for another go. You catch more mercenaries with gold than with iron.

Well you see, using simple methods of distance of travel for their scouting parties, combined with their supposed high water mark about here..

..We can assume that either their scouts haven't yet located the Hierarchy, or they are waiting to gather strength first.
