Bio Ezora is a talented witch who wants more than anything to rise to lichdom. She already has magically made herself younger by stealing the life force of a few subjects. She plans to create a demiplane to hide her phylactery when she has it assembled so that no one can find it to destroy it. She believes lichdom is the answer to all of life's shortcomings, it extends one's limited time alive and also weeds out the weak and rewards the strong. Her practice of necromancy has caused her to be run out several countries already, interrupting her work.
She was born in [New Zealand] to Alban parents who were involved in the colonial government. When her command of healing magics was discovered, she started working with native tribes as a clinical liaison. Some time during this she met a tribal elder who showed her the secret perversion of healing magic, that it could be used for more things than giving life. Once he'd filled her head with the ideas of achieving eternal life, she started to experiment on some of the other tribe members. When someone particularly ill or elderly came to her, she used their expected demise as a cover for robbing them of what was left of their life force and binding their soul to their body as an undead thrall.
This continued for years until some in the tribe started to become suspicious of her and reported her to the colonial authority. Before an investigation could be complete, she faked her own death and moved to nearby Sudland and started a new practice under an assumed name in the colony of Nova Cambria. Once again she started to experiment on remote, underdeveloped peoples. She also started to research the process of building a phylactery to seal away her soul and prevent her mortal demise, though the process is arduous and time consuming causing her to split her focus between research and her work as a healer. At some point during this period she got her arcane tattoos, infused with the power of the rare substance Vali to better focus and control her necrotic abilities.
Unfortunately her stay in NC was cut short when a small amount negligence led to her undead servants being discovered by some of her fellow physicians, causing her to be disgraced in her profession, labelled a monster and given nicknames like "the Corrupter" or "the Death Witch" before becoming wanted by the government for execution. She fled again, this time taking up residence in Schoutenia and resumed her work. She found the colony ideal for working in secret on necromancy, but the lack of technological advancement made working on her main goal of becoming a lich extremely difficult. Growing frustrated at the slow progress, she left the colony for a while to investigate opportunities in [India]. Still needing more, she traveled to Lumina where she plans on staying for a while to work on her phylactery before returning to Schoutenia to complete the ritual and finally break the curse of mortality that has held her back for too long.
Currently she operates a clinic in Lumina under the name Zaleria Alden, treating patients suffering from the outbreak of tuberculosis. While she continues to steal patient's energy to keep herself youthful, she reanimates fewer of them due to the increased risk of being in a large urban area.
