Appearance: She has deep blue hair usually twisted or braided...she dyed it because it had been bleached white when she started practicing magic (her son inherited the white hair from her). Her almond-shaped eyes are large and dark, nearly black and she wears large, round glasses with glittery frames. Her skin is cedar brown and she has an oval face with full lips, often wearing black lipstick. She stands at 5'11 with a slender build, although somewhat softer and rounder after giving birth. Her typical costume can be described as...modern wizard chic. Boots no shorter than knee-length,form-fitting pants, blousy shirt and vests of varying colors and patterns. She's never seen without a brightly patterned cape and elbow-length gloves, she quite likes to show out.
Personality: Aelle is one of the most loyal people you'll ever meet. She's loyal to her family, her monarch, her kingdom and the study and proper use of magic. She was pretty cheerful and outgoing, almost a little too outgoing but she's more withdrawn ever since the divorce...didn't end well. She's a fan of theatrics and often makes theatrical entrances and exits. She takes her job very seriously, sometimes to the point where she forgets to loosen up a bit...but in reality she's just lonely and scared to put herself out there again.

Likes: Magic, her son, training new apprentices, hanging out with the king
Dislikes Spending too long in the same room with her ex, people abusing magic, being bored, her son not telling her about his boyfriends.

Special Ability(ies) Her specialty is protective magic (force fields, shields, wards and the like) as well as portals and teleportation.

Identifying features She has two glowing Vim tattoos on her left forearm, an ancient Ianthian symbol meaning "fate" and another one meaning "order", in honor of her two sisters.
Bio Aella is the youngest of three sisters born to Dharma Cairieth, a witch and herbalist, and her traveling mage husband Yavil Cairieth in the Ianthian Empire, a southern empire known for its sandy, expansive deserts and hot climate, beautiful architecture and abundance of Vim. He had slowed down his travels when he became a father so he could be more hands on, so Aella and her sisters Dharma and Kismet grew up surrounded by magic. Unfortunately, that means that they saw the horrible mutations that magic could do because many came to her mother for help in easing these mutations (because many of them could not be cured). Dharma the elder herself only used magic very sparingly, as magic came with a price with every use and so she only used it when absolutely necessary, teaching her daughters to do the same. Dharma the younger and Kismet heeded this advice, but Aella wanted to push further. Fortunately, her mother was there to stop her from going too far and drilled into her the importance of pacing herself lest something terrible happen. As she got older, she showed quite the aptitude for it and when she wasn't practicing magic, she spent time with her sisters and her two closest friends Prince Karim (who is now the current sultan) and Prince Amir. She and Karim had a very brief relationship when they were young, but now they're besties for life. She went to Artan College, a very select school for mages in Ianthia...it's very tough to get in as they're very picky and they only want the best of the best. They have a reputation for highly effective but very strict training methods, and as such it can be a bit too strenuous for most. Aelle even had to take a break for a while to recover her health after training too hard. Karim became the new sultan shortly after his father died, and his first thought was to employ a new Wizard Imperial as the old one had retired.

Wizard Imperial is the title given to the foremost court wizard in the empire, they are the leader of the imperial battle-mages and report directly to the sultan himself. They are also charged with the magical protection of the kingdom and the discovery of new magic. After going through dozens of other candidates, Karim decided to choose his trusted friend and she's been in the position for about fifteen years now.

Relationships:

Squall Frostwind (son, 18). These two are extremely close, Aelle often refers to him as her right-hand-man or her twin. He's being trained to follow in his mother's footsteps one day, and he's quite a mature young man beyond his years.

Barak Frostwind (ex-husband, 44). They were once the best of friends, and Aelle considered him the love of her life. That is...until the whole messy divorce. Things have healed between them enough where they're almost friends again, but there's still that tension between them.

Dharma Cairieth (sister, 43)- Dharma's always been the sensible one of the group, she acts like the best friend and the lighthearted one of the three, making sure her sisters take the sensible path and think before acting.

Kismet Cairieth (sister, 45) Kismet is the motherly figure, as the eldest she was always watching out for her sisters and Aelle comes to Kismet with tough problems or if she just needs somebody to talk to.

Appearance: He is 6'4", has dirty blond hair which is cut into a combover style, and dark green eyes. His eyes turn red as he drinks blood or unleashes his vampire powers. He is fair, and has an average build. He grows fangs when in vampire form, and his skin becomes whiter. He has little to no facial hair.
Personality: Konrad is opportunistic, willing to take any jobs that come his way no matter how dirty he gets his hands. However, this is not to be confused with apathy, as he does have the capability to care for others. He can be quite suave and kind of a womanizer. He actually has a keen interest in pharmacy and medicines. Konrad is a bit egotistical.

Likes: Money, having a roof over his head, foxes, blood Sausage, herbs and chemicals, spaghetti.
DislikesNot earning enough, mirrors, running water and not being invited to events.
Skills: Konrad is skilled in pharmacy, especially traditional herbal remedies. He is able to concoct a medicines within seconds if he has the right ingredients (And poisons too). He also has an extensive knowledge of chemistry. He is a hand to hand combat expert.
Special Ability(ies) In his vampire form, he gains enhanced speed, running at 35 mph, superhuman strength allowing him to lift half a ton, and the ability to phase through walls. He can disguise himself as a wolf, bat, or crow. He also can kill by drinking people's blood and turn them into vampires. He can be wounded, however, as he has no enhanced durability, although the only way to kill him would be to decapitate or burn him.

Bio Konrad was born in the countryside to a farmer family, where he learned from his grandmother herbal medicine and foraging skills. When the farm fell on hard times, he went to the city to find work and support his family, where he was inducted into a mob and became a hit man. After a few years, he got tired and faked his own death to escape his own organization. He took up a job as an odd-jobs man after that, and studied chemistry and pharmacy on the side. A few months ago he was bitten and turned into a vampire. He has used this newfound power to benefit himself, but he can only turn at night.

I didn't think I went back that far...like the country just resembles the Ottoman Empire in appearance. They'd still have the modern tech...or did you want me to fix something?

You can probably just do it in a separate post. I'd like to see the history of Ianthia, myself. Check the other lore shit too, so it connects with the other stuff we've written

Oh, I think I made a mistake there. But yes Vim is used for both tech and magic and I think a better way to describe what Brit means is that yout nation focused more on the magic aspect than the magitech . Also you can make a separate post for your nation, we have done that with lore related to our characters. But it would be interesting to learn more about this version if the Ottoman.

Oh a little fun fact, the middle east region of the world is called Carthus. It got its name from an anicent empire that use to rule it back in the days of old magic before it fell.
