Character Application
Character Name: Walker
Gender: N/A (Male Pronouns)
Race: Automata
Appearance:Standing at an even 6’ with an overall slender form, Walker is humanoid with a four arm configuration, each arm having three clawed, sharp fingers. A ‘skirt’ is integrated into his person, made of armored plates, which aids to protect the legs. His head is composed of a large gem, acting as a sensory organ, and ‘hood’.
Personality:Silent safe for choice words, unerringly logical, and lackluster as far as humor is concerned, Walker is an individual of little to no interest in social interaction, save for whenever it would be deemed necessary. What is or is not deemed necessary mostly boils down to precisely how much physical harm might be involved due to an emotional state.
Age: 1,020
Occupation: Police
Likes:Gardening

Lethal ForceSocial Interaction
Skills:
Reports
Non Lethal ForceTrained and programmed in military maneuvers, tactics, weapons from the outset, Walker is a war machine to the core. However, since his induction into the police, more civil concerns such as public image, diplomacy, investigation, and a degree of unarmed training have been integrated into his skillset, allowing for non lethal takedowns and arrests. Interrogation has not been taught to Walker, mostly due to the fact that he lacks a certain grasp of human interaction and propensity to lies.
Special Ability(ies):Overall enhanced survivability, strength, and speed marks Walker as a unit designed for warfighting capacities. His four arms allows for a degree of versatility and firepower output normally not seen outside of the more exotic races and, though the unit lacks some of the more powerful features found on modern warfighting automatons, he is still capable. In addition to this, due to his operating system and equipment Walker is able to identify and track Vim users.
Sexual Preference: N/A
Identifying Features:His entire form is identifying enough; less than two hundred of Walker’s specific model exists and the four arms, lack of a face, and gentle glow of Vim magic allow for him to be able to be picked out of a crowd with as much ease as one might know what continent they’re on. That stated, he has a metallic chassis.
Biography:Built long, long ago for a war which never occurred, Walker was stored away with his brothers in a vault for millennia. When magic began to collapse, when the world about them turned to ash, the nation for which he was built collapsed too into civil war, the vault long forgotten in the haste to grab land, to secure their positions. The guards in control of the vault made attempts to resurrect the mechanicus, to bring them to lift to if anything guard the vault better, if not then to better aid whichever faction they might choose. Yet they failed in their own meager attempts, their skills and power not enough, and during those very same attempts security systems were triggered. The vault was filled with gasses, the guards choking, and the vault lay dormant for centuries.

It was awakened, however, by a team of archaeologists some years ago, entering the area with vacuum suits and being amazed by the untouched pieces of history before them. Among them was one such individual of magical talent and, while she was a minor talent, she did have with her a supply of Vim for her power. Using this, she broke what little seal there was on the beings, awakening them. The on-board chronometers were untouched, undamaged, and as such there was a great deal a pause in each of the beings. The first asked who, answered by names with no meaning and the title of “Archaeologist”. The second asked why, answered by the simple answer of “Exploration”. The third asked what now, answered by the mysterious word “Study”. Walker asked no questions, instead following the beings out with the rest of them. Above the entrance hovered two zeppelins, one having already landed, and then they were studied. The mechanical mannerisms of the units were noted, how they were programed was noted, though could not be replicated due to the use of intensive magics, and then came the question the archaeologists had to ask themselves: what now.
No government could lay claim to them, they were of no citizenship, they had no rights. Many argued that they should simply be kept, should be kept for use by the organization for a greater ease in security, for sale to collectors, things of that effect. There was much agreement on that, as while they were not short on cash there always was the opportunity to earn more and this looked to be one such event. They did not account, however, for the fact that the artifacts they had found were to be war automatons, designed to withstand heavy fire, magical explosives, things of that effect and as such with the attempt to chain the machines up came an incident. The war machines gained rapid control over ground forces, destroying the landed zeppelin and one overhead, taking thirty hostages and fortifying the vault’s position. While aged, it was still a strong defensive area and as such, the feeling that they could withstand an assault was one they shared. The hostage crisis drew the attention of the government and, indeed, the Ecclesiarchy to a degree. Agents and police were sent and the standoff would continue for some time, the automatons demanding citizenship, the opportunity to serve the people in some form or another. The deal would be struck by police administrative representatives, that the automatons would release the hostages in exchange for citizenship and jobs within the various police districts, following of course more modern modifications.
They would accept. Since that point, Walker has served the police with distinction, lacking hesitation in the service of duty and having only the highest of standards to follow. He was built for war and that war he fights now is only for the common people. Despite this, a minority of police view them as simple machines, unliving and unvalued save for their ability to soak up bullets.
Relationships:Detective Sibyl Blackstone
A trusted colleague, Blackstone is one of the individuals who has an uncanny, almost annoying feature of forever having questions towards Walker simply due to his nature. Her inquisitions have proven, to a degree, helpful, though Walker is most definitely appreciative of her skill and ability at her job. He would not trust her while powered-off, however, due to the factor that she may try to take him apart while he is as such.
Constable Arthur PennyworthAble, if not a little odd about Detective Blackstone, Constable Pennyworth is an individual with which Walker has had sporadic encounters with, only on the job. His capabilities surpass that of what would normally be considered for a Constable, leading to some professional appreciation by Walker. The man doesn’t ask too many questions towards Walker, none at all, leading to an even greater appreciation by the automaton.
Officer DickenwrightOne of the goblins on the police force, something which is an oddity as far as Walker has noted, the Officer is supplied well with information, forever on the watch. He has connections to the underworld, however, something that is both useful and suspicious. Walker mistrusts him on that basis.
Mr. ArthurWalker’s tenant owner, the man talks little, questions little, and charges even less. While trustable, the man lacks a certain degree as far as personality goes, lacks any form of humor or sadness. He simply is, nothing really more there. The man does refuse some persons from living as his tenement, individuals with no, at the time of refusal, known suspicious activity with the criminal world yet are often later found to be as such. He knows more than he shows. Should be watched.
