Long ago in the world of Numina, existence sprang forth from a void. How this came to be many scientists, philosophers, theologian, and arcanists still struggle to explain but from the void came aether and from it came the gods, the architects of existence. It was the gods who would create the material realm and the realms of spirit and form the building blocks necessary that would develop life itself. In this ancient time of gods the realms of matter and spirit did not exist, allowing the mundane and the ethereal to coexist easily and to allow the essence of the gods and spirits to flow into the world; forming what would become magic.

It was during this ancient time the ancestors of many modern races would emerge. The ancestors that would form recognizable races such as elves, orcs, dwarves and more descending from beings known as faeries, the first undead rising from their corpses for the first time, the offsprings of mortal and gods, and for more fantastical beings would emerge. Humanity would arise in this world not by supernatural circumstances or parentage but by natural selection and evolution. Yet while mankind was a byproduct of nature it did not mean they were immune to the influence of the arcane. Mankind like many races worshipped the gods and revered the spirits, some drawing power and knowledge from them as rewards for favors. Some would dedicate themselves to the arduous and harrowing trials and tribulations to unlock the secrets of magic and use it to reshape their world, many succumbing to madness or hubris of their powers. Those that resisted would become the philosopher kings and queens that would build the groundwork that would form great civilizations. The forces of the arcane would even grant some chosen humans great powers or change them in ways that would make them into something other than human.

While humanity and the other races fought each other for many reasons there were times when love was shared between them, these unions creating hybrids. These unions and the eventual offsprings that would come from them were rejected and accepted by many kingdoms, city states and empires throughout many different periods. As empires and kingdoms flourish the gods continue to control the inner mechanism of the world. This order would continue for millennia until one day the priests and druids the world order found that the gods and great spirits they worship and revered stopped answering their calls. As many searched for answers why the gods have stopped listening to them a barrier was forming to keep the two worlds separated, making it difficult for the inhabitants of both worlds to cross over. These changes would soon find a common source that would begin a chain of events that would lead to great cataclysm to befall on the world, the magic of old was fading away.

The wisest of mages sought for ways to destroy the growing barrier and to find where the magic was going but none ever found a solution. Some nations did not heed the warning and believe them to be rumors until magic finally faded in the parts they have, disrupting or destroying those heavily dependent on magic to function. Many mages and magical creatures began to flock to areas still rich in the magic of old as more of it faded from the world. As civilizations crumbled many fanatical races began to die out due to the loss of magic and by humans encroaching on their lands and exterminating them, for while humanity was suffering the loss of magic they and a few other races like the dwarves manage to adapt to the dark times.

As all began to believe that the world will live on without magic high above the mountains that once house the pathway leading to the realm of the gods a cabal of scholars and mages searching for any remaining magic in the world. Yet on the mountain they found the gateway gone and the magic that use to be on the site gone. This cabal was ready to return home in bitter defeat when they stumble across a miraculous find, a source of energy that was similar to the old magic. Eventually the scholars would find a series of strange minerals, chemicals, and matter that can generate their own arcane energy to alter the world. These scholars would return with this new resource in hand, unaware that this action would change their world forever.

For this resource, now known as Vim, not only brought with it a new form of magic to the world but it was later found to be used to both power and create wondrous devices and machines; the renewal of magic and the new technological innovations brought into the world would be the beginning of an event known as the Vim Revolution, for every aspect of society was affected.

As new technologies, arcane and scientific studies progressed other aspects of society began to change. The Mercantile practices of old gave away to a growing market based economic model to grow an emerging consumer culture. Old aristocratic institutions and absolute monarchies began to compete against nations who form republics with democratic institutions. A growing middle class is now growing in most industrial and urbanized nations as class mobility is now becoming a reality. The guilds of old now are competing against companies who are growing in power, some being able to rival some nations.

Yet while the world sees many improvements others still live in dreadful conditions. Most of the power live in cramp, dirty, slums; many being forced to work in factories under horrible working conditions if they can afford or were not replaced by artifact workers. Racism, classism, and sexism of the old world is still alive and while some nations are for more tolerant others are not. Imperialism and colonialism saw a new wave as the new magic and technology gave them a powerful edge over weaken enemies. Mass political movements and civil right protests can be found throughout the world as my clamour for more rights and liberties and freedoms from governments who they feel are not giving them enough of the three.

Political and Corporate greed and corruption is a blight on the world and many conspiracies go on throughout the world's shadows, in those same shadows crime syndicates and grown their operations to become a major threat to the eyes of some nations. While most embrace Vim others reject it and instead follow regressive policies for a myriad of reasons, the most common being for religious, political, cultural, and environmental factors that leads them to reject Vim. Once more while Vim has improved the lives of many it has also given great power to those who would use a use it to subvert and harm many for their own greed and lust for power. Vim itself also creates terrible pollution that along with destroying natural habitats also changes them; creating mutated wildlife, strange phenomenon, and objects with unusual properties. Vim is even eroding the barrier that separated the spirit realms from the material world, allowing spirits and other stranger beings and forces to return to Numina.

Yet even with these and many other issues plaguing the world many still believe in a bright future for the people of Numina, even as the specter of a possible world war looms in the minds of politicians and diplomats.



Summery-

Welcome to Vim: Tales from Lumina. In this RP you will allow be in the world of Numina, once a typical fantasy world until the end of the old magic and the discovery of Vim. Ushering in a new age where steam engines, brass gears, and electrical power act as the beating hearts for the machines of industries with magic acting as the soul. A powerful city state that is resource in resources with Vim being it's most vital resource. Being a major trading hub and a neutral zone for the many world powers the city state has massive influence on the world stage despite being recent when compared to some nations.

Vim will have many arcs taking place in the city and each arc will always deal with something new but some may be a continuation of a previous arc. Your characters can be anything you desire so long as they fit the world.



Administration and Maintenance -

For now the one in charge of this RP project is me alone but I am looking for a members to make a team to better administer and maintain order in this game. While I am willing to allow players have a wide berth in freedom on what they want their characters to be and how they act in the end my word is law. I (and hopefully in the future) and other CO-OPs will review and accept applications, organize world events, history and canon, act as judge, jury and executor to any player caught harassing other players and moderating other players.

This RP world is meant to be a Dark Fantasy/Arcanepunk world with both magick and technology. While this can be interpreted in many different ways it is our goal to explain that in simple ways through these following rules.

  • Membership is approved by me (and future CO-OPs). Applications are review based on past RP experience, capability of Nation States concept with the world, and ability to write in a orderly way that can be read and understood. If either I or my future CO-OP have something to give you a critique on your application do not take it personally but rather heed their words and work with them, they are willing to help.

  • Members must maintain an active status in the group to maintain their characters. Should they be inactive for too long their character will become an NPC and will be under the control of the OP and co-op for the duration of the arc they are in. Former PCs can be reclaimed by the player if they wish to return.

  • While Vim is not shy on allowing dark and mature subject matters will like to remind players to be both mature on certain subjects and not to be too graphic on both IC and OOC. We don't need to give the Moderators and Administrators of this website a good reason to lock this thread and put an end to the RP.

  • All players are expected to respect one and other at all times in their OOC speak and interactions with regarding to Vim. If either me or other members of the group feel that you are causing too much issues than it is within my right to terminate all existing applications made by said trouble players.

  • God modding of any type is also forbidden in Vim. Vim is about storytelling game and is not a board game. While there is winners and losers, a certain type of strategy involved, players must agree to what they expect the outcome of the thread to be and how they are going to go about to do it. If players cannot agree or they feel there could not be an agreement the OPs will gather the facts of the situation, and use appropriate measures to find a solution to the problem. It is then in each players involved obligations to carry out that ruling in their RP to create the story. In addition to Godmodding there is also no ignore-cannon. All actions must be recognized unless overruled by the Op.

  • A certain quality is expected of members within their RPs, put your effort in to having fun and commit to Vim when you post in IC. Members who are found to be consistently posting half-assed IC posts will be talked to by either me or the CO-OPs and if the behavior continues than the problem player will be dismissed.

  • Vim has a joint canon and history and this is something that all the players must contribute to within the world. Please adhere to the existence of this history and try to actively contribute to it. If either me, the CO-OPs or in dire situations the players, deem it necessary they will put someone in charge of forming the world history and canon to be put on file in this thread.

  • As stated above Magic maybe more common but it isn't any easier because of it. Magic is a powerful, dangerous and sanity shattering force for one to use. All magi must shed attachments, abandon preconceptions, betray trusts, deny duties, and alienate loves for the craft means everything to them. One can still practice magic and still keep their attachments, trusts and love ones but they will not be as powerful as those who have fully given themselves to their craft. Magic also comes with a price for each spell, ritual, curse, summoning and blessing performed for nothing in this world or any other is free. Exposure too much magic can cause bizarre and permanent mutations to mages and these can lead to physical disabilities, illness, and add in mental degradation. These mutations also affect the children of mages, even if the mage in question appears outwardly normal.

    Other forms to use magic is by Vim powered devices or imbuing Vim onto ones clothing, inking tattoos with Vim, or consuming Vim potions and drugs. Some intentionally mutate themselves for power or implant Vim prosthetics, monstrous body parts, and other implants on their bodies to make their bodies into a conduit for magic.

  • Technology at its default is set in the same level that was around in both the late 19th century and early 20th century however due to Vim some things are drastically different and some technologies not present in either periods are present. For example in this world thanks to Vim, steam engines are as powerful and efficient as Internal Combustion Engines. Vim has also allowed for mechanical computers to give rise to an Information Revolution, further changing the world Steam powered, clockwork, robots work side by side with the growing middle class in grueling labor in the factories. Anachronistic super-advanced technology like those of Giant Flyer, Spider Tank, Disintegrator Ray, and Magnetic Weapons along with those made by works of H.G Wells and Jules Verne are allowed in. In short any crazy tech can be allowed in as long as both I and the Co-ops find it agreeable to the setting. Different nations possess different technological levels.

  • default acceptable races are as follows: Humans, Human+, Faeries, Changelings, Undead, Artificial, Mutants, Aliens, Godlings. Human+ are humans who have gain superhuman abilities either due to be experiment on by a doctor or scientist or were a doctor who perform self experimentation, were born with their powers, achieved enlightenment or special training, or gain them by a freak struck of luck. Faeries include a diverse range of races that descended from the first feys of like elves, Orcs, Goblins, Dwarves, Gnomes/Hobbits, Trolls, Pixies, Centaurs, Satyrs and many other creatures of myths and folklore that aren't gods or demons.

    Artificials include golems, homunculi, animated/ possessed dolls, uplifted chimeras, clockwork robots and other synthetic beings. Mutants are those affected by Vim in odd ways, often gaining great powers but bizarre mutations that sometimes makes them barely resemble their original form and can cause lifelong health problems, the Therions (a magically inclined and physically enhanced subspecies of humans infamous for demonic like mutations) and uplifted magical animals are an example of mutants. Undead can include vampires, intelligent zombies and ghosts, Reapers are unplayable. Aliens include not only extraterrestrials but also ultraterrestrials and extradimensional beings, all coming thanks to the eroding barrier. Godlings are hybrids of both humans and either gods (which can range from pagan to lovecraftian gods), demons, and powerful spirits. All Godlings only have half the powers from their parents and due to their mortal half can be killed. If you have another race that you really really want to play as. It must be brought to both me and my CO-Ops to be approved.

Character Name: Sibyl Blackstone


Gender: Female


Race: Changeling (half elf)


Appearance: being at a mere 5 foot in height Sibyl is a short woman. Weighing up to 140 lbs, with a measurements of 34/35/42; giving a soft and “well fed” figure. Sibyl has elongated and pointed ears, almond-shaped blue eyes, and a small, delicate nose and mouth; physical traits inherited by her elven ancestry. From her human father side she inherent his coal black hair which she keeps tied into a lace braided pointy tail that reach to her shoulder, when released her hair reaches to the small of her back. Having the pale skin that is notable to elves hers is of a creamy beige shade, a result of her elven Gene's mixed with human genes. Sibyl lacks the elongated limbs and unusually long and thin fingers and toes associated with elves; no doubt another result from her human ancestry. While she is in her 40s she still appears physically in her 20s.

Sibyl wears a dark gray long coat that reaches to her ankles; Sibyl wears a small black leather shoulder cape held by a small silver chain to go along with the coat. The long coat covers a vest made of the same material as the coat and shares the same color, the vest covering a white button shirt. Her trousers are of the same color as the long coat with black suspenders. Her wrist length leather gloves and ankle length boots are both black. Sibyl has a dark gray cloth around her neck that she sometimes use as a mask in smog filled and rancid locations and wears a withered feathered cap on top of her head. She has a series of Vim ink tattoos that travel from her arms, to her shoulders, before ending on her back.

Personality: Sibyl is a woman who appears to be content and cheerful, always having a positive and charming demeanor in most cases save for when she is in a crime scene. When in her work her demeanor takes on a more colder and clinical attitude; both to help her gather the data on the case she is on and to not be too emotionally invested on a case if the crime happens to be a tragic and gruesome ones. This persona also appears whenever she meets individuals she despises, occasionally she might even insult them if she has no respect for them. Sibyl can be snarky at times and has a sense of humor, even willing to make jokes in serious and somber situations to lighten the mood. An idealist at heart she can become passionate and committed to activities she enjoys and causes she believed in, sometimes to the point of being incautious and erratic, the latter not helped by the infusion she drank years ago as it caused her to be emotional at times. Yet even with her short sightedness and faults the half elf is bold enough to take on any challenges, refusing to let anything get in her way.

Special Ability(ies)
Half Elf Physiology: Being a half elf Sibyl is naturally attuned to magic. While she isn't a master magician she is still a fine spellcaster. While her lifespan is shorter when compared to elves (who to this day many believe might be immortal) she can live much longer than humans, possibly living through 4 centuries or more should nothing terrible occur to end her life prematurely. Sibyl has the elven keen eye sights to not only notice small details that most races can miss but can see in darken areas and from long distances; a natural trait that gives elves and half elves great advantages when acting as marksmen, hunters, and guides. She also has great hearing as well which is both a great tool for her cases but can also be a terrible burden at times due to living in a city. Sibyl sadly lacks the graceful, otherworldly,agility and flexibility that normal elves have alongside their incredible speed and reflexes, this is due to her bodily proportions taking after her human side; yet she still possess the beauty of an elf even if mixed with physical signs of her human parentage. Her immune system is weaker than an elf but is greater than a human, being immune to most human diseases and resistant to some magical ones. While she can still show signs of aging half elves have been known to stop eventually, keeping some traces of their youth and not suffering from some effects of aging.

Infusion Enhancement: Always wanting to be a bit more like the elves she never quite had the famed otherworldly movement that elves have due to her current body shape lacked the means to do so. As such she took a possibility dangerous infusion to gain the same speed, agility, flexibility, and reflexes that elves possess. This has the side effect of increasing the speed in which her brain can process information which greatly aids in her deductive abilities, intelligences, and reaction time. However this also makes her behavior erratic at times and sometimes the amount of thoughts going on in her head can make her seem absent minded at times or truly deep in her thoughts, she also becomes silent and almost withdrawn in these periods. Her metabolism is also greatly enhanced due to the changes which gives her more energy to stay active much longer than normal; however this comes with the catch that she can become restless far sooner than most, when her energy finally runs out she crashes both physically and mentally, and the amount of calories she needs to eat has grown since taking the infusion, a fact she loathes.

Bio Sibyl was born and always lived in two worlds. Her father was a human industrialist turn politician, and her mother an elven sorceress, and she has learned to be a little like them both. Having grown up in both an elven village and bustling cities, she has come to appreciate the powers of adaptation and persuasion. Hailing from the island nation of Alba, the first nation to experience the changes brought about from the Vim Revolution, the nation reflects the duality of the emerging industrial and technological progression and the magical culture and traditions still alive and revitalized thanks to Vim. In many ways the current state of the nation influenced her as much as her parents.

Sibyl as always been a witness to her parents arguments concerning on the nature of technology and magick, and why one was better than the other. Even outside from her home she has saw old houses and castle keeps stand with factories and skyscrapers, from airships traveling in the sky to golems pulling on carriages on the roads, two different worlds that seem to be at odds yet coexisting somehow. The education she receive from her parents was not only for her to become an intelligent young woman but to also make her pick a side in their argument about technology and magick, to make young Sibyl pick a side. Yet after her years of study the two she found that both have their merits and issues, both magick and technology have a place in the world and in her opinion both will make the world much better than just one alone.

With this conclusion in mind she focus her studies and free time in both knowing the nature of magic and inner mechanisms of machines, yet never being able to fully decide to either become a full fledge mage or technologist. It was during her years in a university that she chose to become a detective as she believe that occupation can allow her to show how both science and sorcery working together can provide great benefits to the world. Initially her parents were opposed to their daughter becoming a detective and dealing with the criminal element of society but eventually she convinced them to allow her to continue her education to become a detective.

After her graduation she originally worked in a city close to where her old home was located. During these years age dealt with both minor and major crimes, even dealing with serial killers and organized crime syndicates. While she was a talented inspector her boss often held back on promoting her due to her gender, in fact there was times when she was threaten to lose her job because her boss felt that police work was not a woman place. Sibyl knew that she only kept her job due to her father's connections. While the situation made her bitter at her position she still continue with her work to make the streets a bit safer.

She would soon meet a soldier named Roy Campbell who she assisted when he was framed for a murder, afterwards the two would become friends. Over time Sibyl would develop feelings for Campbell and so would he and the two would begin a relationship and the two would soon be married. Just as the two were beginning to prepare to be parents, as Sibyl was pregnant just a few years after the marriage and left her job to be a mom, Roy would be called to go out to a colony to help put out a rebellion. She begged Roy to not go, worried that he will die. the soldier refused to turn down an order to help his country. He promise to always write to her and that he will return. For the months he was gone he kept his promise as each day Sibyl received a new letter from Roy and she writing back, telling him how much she missed him and how their daughter Hilda was doing. These letters were stop during the final days of the rebellion and after the rebellion was crushed she would get the tragic news that Roy was killed by poisoned bullet.

Sibyl was devastated by the news and for a while lived with her parents again as she was recovering from the lost of her husband. Sibyl would remain in this state for quite sometime until she decided that she needs to start anew. Gathering as much money as she can she would move to Lumina and become a detective in the city. Ever since she has lived in Lumina as a private detective, consulting the police and taking many cases offered by other organizations and private individuals in the city state to both improve the world little by little and to provide for her daughter.

Theme Song Theme

Relationships: -Morgaine Blackstone: Sibyl eight year old daughter. Looking like mother save for having more elven traits she is a cheerful and energetic girl. Whenever her mother is out working she either stays with a babysitter or with a friend, an arrangement she sometimes feels upset about as she wishes to stay with her mother but know that her mother is doing good out on the streets. Like her mother she too has the same wonder when it comes to technology and magick, she also loves animals.

-Constable Arthur Pennyworth: A constable in his 30s, this red headed human male has been working in the Lumina police force for a decade. He acts as a representative of the plover force whenever he visits Sibyl to request for her help and even assists her in some cases. Years of working together has made the two as both good colleagues and friends, Arthur is secretly harboring feelings for Sibyl.

Officer Dickenwright: A goblin police officer and an informant of Sibyl. Drikenwright helps Sibyl with providing information on both matters going in within the law enforcement agency and the criminal underworld, information that he has gained from his isn informants and agents in both worlds. The goblin feels indebted to Sibyl for saving him from a false murder charge and as such helps her when he can.

Nathaniel Blackstone: Sibyl's aging human father. Once a powerful industrialist before he turn to politics, his companies still continue to make profit for him and his family under his brother's management. Nathaniel is a supporter of scientific endeavor, industrial progress, and meritocracy; yet he is also vehemently against unions and despises orcs, ogres, and trolls. Nathaniel was never supportive of Sibyl's marriage and still has some misgivings of her being a detective, but still supports her and her daughter regardless of her choices. Currently Nathaniel is planning on retiring soon as his age is beginning to affect him and he as some misgiving on using infusions that treat aging. He loves his side despite their constant arguments about tech and magic. While he never liked Sibyl's husband as much he loves his granddaughter.

Aria Blackstone: Sibyl's elven mother. A sorcerer and folk woman her union with Nathaniel was made when she nursed the young industrialist to health after he was bitten by a venomous serpent. Like Nathaniel she too was hesitant on Sibyl's choice to become a detective but eventually accepted that her occupation made her happy. Unlike her husband she was more cordial to Sibyl's husband and was more supportive of the marriage. Like Sibyl she adores her granddaughter and like her husband she still loves her spouse despite the arguments they have. Currently she is attending to her husband, ironically using magic to help treat him as he feels more comfortable with using her magic than some of the anti aging infusions being sold.

(The title “zu” is a Ziragi nobiliary particle denoting that the individual bearing the particle is a member of an imperial house; in this case, it indicates that Prince Ilgr is a member of the ruling House of Rugnis. In standard Ziragi pronunciation, it is pronounced with as little stress as possible, and as such, is often merged with the last name; thus, to an untrained ear, “zu Rugnis” often sounds like a single word “zurugnis”.

As is common for the royals, Prince Ilgr is often depicted in paintings as dashingly handsome; in real life, however, while he is relatively good-looking, the second prince of the Ziragi Empire looks decidedly ordinary, the only thing denoting him to be of royal blood being his amber irises, an extremely rare trait among ethnic Ziragi people that is found in the imperial family’s innermost branches. As for other physical traits, Ilgr differs little from the average Ziragi; he has olive-coloured skin and nape-length platinum-coloured hair brushed rather haphazardly (think of something along the lines of young Stalin).

Standing at 172cm and weighing 59kg, Ilgr is lean, somewhat muscular- a result of his being extensively trained in sword arts and equestrianism by his retainer, Mihail. He is also missing an upper lateral incisor, from a time when he fell off a horse; this is, unsurprisingly, often omitted in propaganda paintings of him smiling.

Bio
Prince Ilgr zu Rugnis was born in Magwel, the imperial capital of the Ziragi Empire, the third child of Emperor Waldheim III by his second wife, Empress Consort Galonia asuli Rugnis; when he turned 3, the Empress Consort died mysteriously of an underlying disease that had only recently manifested itself.

From shortly after his birth, Prince Ilgr was raised in Dort Zahaschur Castle, located 91km away from Magwel, in the poverty-stricken province of Xihanul, located near the thin buffer zone that divided Zirag from its hostile neighbour Davlars; Emperor Waldheim III demanded that all his children be raised separately, with as little contact with each other as possible, and as such, Ilgr never met any of his siblings other than his older sister Princess Mune asuli Rugnis, the commander of a military battalion, who often stopped over in Dort Zahaschur Castle to resupply her troops.

Other than that, Ilgr rarely made contact with the outside world. He was educated by a long series of tutors who were constantly cycled in and out of Dort Zahaschur to prevent them from growing too close to him, with the only close relationships he had being his sibling bond with Princess Mune, his retainer Mihail (who trained him in martial arts and equestrianism), and his personal cook and maid.

When he came of age at the age of 21, a plague had hit Xihanul; people began to develop boils all over their body, and many succumbed to a deadly form of gangrene caused by a worm that was borne by water and rotted the face away. At the same time, Emperor Waldheim III cut off the province’s supply of Vim (the magic substance used to fuel almost everything) and withdrew the bulk of the imperial troops to provinces further inside, apparently without concern for the safety of his second son.

Prince Ilgr, perplexed and disturbed by his father’s decisions, demanded to leave the castle to tour the neighbouring villages. Secretly, against the orders of Waldheim, Ilgr’s retainer Mihail allowed him to leave the grounds of Dort Zahaschur Castle for the first time since he had moved there, accompanying him out into the neighbouring villages to meet the people. Immensely shocked by the suffering he saw, the prince began to develop plans to set out to find a cure to the plague that had hit Xihanul, having remembered hearing stories of a land in the deep south where medicinal plants of all kinds grew in great abundance.

- Mihail (retainer): 56 years old, the grizzly, one-eyed Sergeant-major Mihail is a veteran soldier of the Ziragi Empire’s military, boasting 22 years of experience in the army’s elite Imperial Guards Corps. Upon Prince Ilgr’s birth, Mihail was called back from his border post and became the young prince’s retainer, training him in military and strategic skills. He serves as Prince Ilgr’s only true father figure, as the young prince has never met his biological father, Emperor Waldheim III.
- Kazuma (personal cook): The 18-year-old, ethnically Chojien Kazuma was born to a working class background, and was enlisted into the service of the imperial household at the age of 11. He currently serves as the personal cook to Prince Ilgr, and as such, is one of the few people with constant access to the prince.
- Molly (maid): Molly is a 46-year-old single mother who serves as a maid to Prince Ilgr. She uses the relatively respectable pay she draws from the imperial treasury to support her three children, the oldest of whom is a former soldier the same age as Prince Ilgr who was discharged from the military after losing both his hands in battle.


- Empress Consort Galonia asuli Rugnis (mother, deceased): The late Empress Consort Galonia was the second wife of Emperor Waldheim of the Ziragi Empire. She bore the Emperor three children, of whom Prince Ilgr is the second, before dying, at the age of 37, of a rare inheritable disease that manifested only in the final months of her life. It is suspected that her children- Mune, Ilgr, and Nahra- inherited the disease.
- Emperor Waldheim III (father): The 38th Emperor of Zirag, 52-year-old Waldheim III has been in power for 15 years. He is known as the Dark Emperor due to his authoritarian style of governance and his escalation of the already ongoing war with the neighbouring Empire of Davlars at the cost of economic stability. Prince Ilgr, like all his siblings with the exception of the Crown Prince, has never met his father, and lives in a castle segregated from the rest of his family.
- Crown Prince Roman zu Rugnis (elder brother): 30-year-old Roman zu Rugnis is Prince Ilgr’s older brother, and the first in line to the throne. The two have only met on a single occasion.
- Princess Mune asuli Rugnis (elder sister): 25-year-old Princess Mune asuli Rugnis is Prince Ilgr’s older sister. With the death of his mother, Mune is the only one of Ilgr’s family with whom he has had constant contact, and is the only one of his siblings with whom he has a close relationship.
- Princess Nahra asuli Rugnis (younger sister): 20-year-old Princess Nahra asuli Rugnis is Prince Ilgr’s younger sister. The two have only met on a single occasion.
- Princess Kimie asuli Rugnis (younger sister): 11-year-old Princess Kimie asuli Rugnis is Prince Ilgr’s younger sister. The two have never met.
- Prince Ilya zu Rugnis (younger brother): 2-year-old Prince Ilya zu Rugnis is Prince Ilgr’s younger brother, and the third in line to the throne. The two have never met.

Personality: When thinking of what Darius' would be, the first thing that comes to mind is "Lighthearted and playful." He enjoys a good bit of fun, and frequently prioritizes his own fun to the task at hand. He is incredibly active, always in the midst of something, never seeming to remain still. This lack of a serious attitude often leads to him being thought of as incompetent. However, despite always having his fun, Darius is also incredibly perceptive and sly. He throws people off balance by convincing them he is of no threat due to incompetency, and whilst their guard is down, he observes their weaknesses, laid bare before the "helpless prey." He can exhibit a more focused, serious side of himself when the stakes are high. He is incredibly quick witted and sharp tounged, always producing a comeback to throw in his opponents face, or a clever witticism to throw a person off balance in a conversation. However, his quick wit also plays into his joke loving nature, being that he often produces a pun or clever joke on the spot during a tense situation.

-Quick thinker: As mentioned before, Darius is pretty good at thinking up things on the spot. HE applies this to combat, taking in his environment and rapidly producing strategies to combat opponents using objects in this environment.
-Gunslinger: Amongst all his talents, the one that shines brightest in Darius' arsenal is his skill in marksmanship and the use of firearms. He is a savant when it comes to firearms and weapons of that general category, able to simply pick up a gun, and within a minute be totally familiar with the ins and outs of the weapon.

It isn’treally Krav Maga. Just a fighting style comparable to it. All the martial arts he’s learned in are fictional equivalents to the martial arts listed. And I’m working on the bio to TG to you.
