Aetherius:The Mythic Age [Open|IC|Fantasy|God]

The Mythic Age

Image

It was the dawn of a new era when the world was forged in the flames of Chaos, and tempered by the hands of Order. The Primordials beings of great power were born from both Order and Chaos. It was Order who gave life and willpower to these beings. Yet Chaos wished to sow the seeds of discord and whispered into the ears of the Primordials giving birth to strife and conflict. Thus the Great Cycle was born one that would see reality shatter and reform itself endlessly across the pages of space and time.

The Primordials would fight an epic battle for who would come to rule the Universe. Mundus or the mundane plane was born from this very war of creation and destruction. Entire planets were born, nebula and galaxies created from the constant destruction. Many beings would emerge from this time of ruin, the Fates, who weaved the destinies of Gods and mortals alike, the Furies who exacted punishment on those who broke their oaths. In the end, the most powerful Primordial Aetempas Brightlord of the Heavens would reign victorious over all of creation. Aetempas would shire seven children with the Earth-Mother Terra giving birth to the all-powerful Titans.

At first, the Titans served the Primordials well, but the Fates foretold that Aetempas would be overthrown by his firstborn son Terratus. Aetempas would send the Serephims servants of the Lord of the Heavens to chain the Titans and banish them to the depths of Maelstrom. In the end, Terratus defeated the Serephims and rallied the Titans declaring war on the Primordials for their betrayal. The world was reforged in this second Divine War; the Primordials would be driven to extinction, Terratus would forever chain his father to the Sky separating him from Terra forever.

Now the Titans would be the undisputed rulers of existence for millions of years to come, yet the Fates continued to weave their destinies of all beings and foretold new beings that would come to rule the cosmos. The gods born from the various love affairs of the Titans, or born by the cosmic forces were at first beneath the Titans but soon grew in power. Terratus like his father feared being overthrown and tried to banish the gods to Maelstrom, but in the end, the gods rebelled, and soon the First Titanomachy was born. The gods would end up defeating the Titans in yet another epic war of the divines. In a twist of irony Terratus along with the other Titans would be banished to Maelstrom for all of the eternity tormented for their betrayal.

Now the Aetherian Gods are the undisputed rulers of the Cosmos, they rule victorious from their base of power Mount Atherius. Mundus is in ruins, having been destroyed in the Titanomachy and an entirely new world is ready to be forged, for better or worse a new destiny shall be born in this Mythic Age where gods walk the earth.

Azanla was overlooking Terra from Mount Atherius and sighed. "Who knew overthrowing the Titans would leave Mundus in such a state of disrepair. And now we are tasked with rebuilding Mundus and shaping Terra to our will." He was speaking to no one in particular, as he was alone where he was standing. The other gods were doing their own business and Azanla was left to decide on ways to repair Mundus and shape Terra. "Hmm, I shall take the advice of my fellow Atherians when they join me. But for now, I shall see what the Divine Will can do to improve Terra." Azanla pulled out the fiery sword that was his artifact and sliced a large gash into the surface of Terra, just to test it.
Action: Begin carving canyons into Terra

Dejar stood, seeing a devastated world, broken by the fires of war, it's surface shattered and oceans drained. Looking up towards Mount Aetherius, he shook his head in disappointment. "That fool'll make a world of nothing but fire and heat if he has his way. But, the forests shall grow, and the earth shall flower. Let Mundus hold life once more." With that said, he extended his left arm, and, grabbing some seeds from his belt, through them into the wind. "Let the Divine Wind guide you, my children."

Bedros looked over the broken world as he traveled back to Mount Atherius oh how it hurt to see what had been done to their inheritance. As he began his assent up the steep mountain he wondered what his fellow divine would be doing, he quickly received a partial answer as he saw massive gashes tear through the earth with lava pouring through. He would have to question what was intended later but first he had his own task to see to. As the god arrived at the top of Atherius he banished his clouds and steeped onto the floor below and went to his private chambers to gather what he needed. He poured from four bags the directional winds and from a cup a drop of the water of Solaris to create a mighty storm that would water the burdening new life in the world.

Murr Quhalden,
God of Monsters

Mundus, broken and devoid of life. Such was the way of war. Such was the reward of usurpers. Murr Quhalden betrayed his mother and led a rebellion that only he alone would see the end. At the end of it, he was the last of the monsters and now Mundus would need new mortal rulership. It was only simple since the monsters had fought for their freedom from just being warriors of their former Titan mother. He sought to start with the basics of wind monsters to help circulate the world's airflow.

Action: Make wind monsters to help circulate Mundus wind to make life breathable.

Azanla was bored of carving a lifeless planet, and so decided to call the gods and Atherians to a council. He sent messages of fire to the gods and Atherians that said "Come to the top of Mount Atheius. I shall hold a council to create mortal creatures and beings. Come at once." He then walked to the top of Mount Atherius to wait for the rest of the gods.

Action: Sending messages of fire to the other gods.

Edia
Goddess of War

Edia watched as her fellow gods began to rebuild the broken world. War had devastated it as war does. But war would also give way to new life and prosperity. Her fellow gods were rebuilding the world a world that would need to be protected. She would take a part of spear and would shape it into a race of warriors that would protect this knew world and the innocents.

Action:Create a race of warrior angels to protect the world.

Seadra Goddess of the Ocean
The Mythic Age

Seadra stared at the barren world that was Terra from the slopes of mighty Atherius. Once full of beasts and monsters full of life was now full of death and despair. Chaos had consumed the world, now it was up to the gods to make things right. She watched as her fellow Atherian Bedros tried to create a mighty storm to water the world. She raised her hands and her eyes glowed with the power of the Ocean, great clouds formed and lightning struck the earth, she raised her hands and summoned winds to spread the clouds to cover the entire planet, soon the world would be covered in a magnificent ocean the likes that had never before been seen.

It would be beautiful.

The world of Terra kept spinning across the sea of reality, across the plane of Mundus. The gods where ambitious each with their own views of what Terra should be. For now, they were successful, at the height of their power it seemed anything was possible and Chaos was swept aside by the power of Order, Terra was returning to its former glory and it seemed things were on the rise especially for the Atherians who witnessed their new found power as rulers of the cosmos. Due to the world returning to a state suitable to life, the monsters soon returned from Maelstrom to their home.
Terra
+1 Atmosphere
+1 Volcanoes,
+1 Mountains
+1 Canyons
+1 Great Ocean
+1 Plant life on tallest peaks
Sea Monsters have returned from Maelstrom and live freely in the Great Ocean.

Murr Quhalden
Murrs creations where a success! Great gusts of winds formed, and magnificent beasts where created from the air of the void. Since their master hadn't thought out what they would look like they came in all sorts of sizes and shapes, some the size of mountains others as small as the insects that used to scurry on the breadth of the earth. Some had tentacles and many limbs. They were wild and free, and wreaked havoc across the world, as monsters should be. It seemed Murr Quhalden would have to find a way to control them.

+1 Wind Monsters (Wild)
Azanla
The King of the Gods slashed his blade into the earth. Terra shook and shuddered and great canyons formed from the bosom of the earth. Lava gushed from the heart of the planet, and piled up, creating mountains that would rise to the heavens. Smoke and ash covered the sun. An atmosphere was beginning to form, and Murr's creations soon spread the gases across the planet.

The fire message was sent to all the Atherians. It remained to be seen rather they would answer the request of their King or not.

Edia
Edia Goddess of War struck her spear and sought to create a race of Angels. She had never done this before, the first angel was but a sprite of light and soon shuddered from existence, it's remains falling to the barren ground, and starting a small divine fire that raged across the land but was soon put out by the rains. It seemed the War Goddess would have to try again.

Seadra
Seadra Goddess of the Ocean raised her hands and summoned a great storm that soon covered the entire planet.Aided by Bedros,Murr and Azalna soon a great tempest covered the entire world. It rained for what seemed an eternity, and soon all the mountains and canyons where covered in a great ocean, from pole to pole, save for mighty Atherius, and a few other mountains, whose peaks remained high above the water.Sea monsters returned from Maelstrom and once more roamed the seas.

Bedros
Bedros storm was rather lackluster. It seemed the god hadn't put much oomph into the divine spell, but with the aid of Seadra he still aided in creating the Great Ocean.

Dejar
Dejar the God of Planet life had soon spread his seeds across the world. The few islands and peaks that remained where soon covered in with his seeds. In due time great greenery would blossom on these cliffs, and life would flourish, with the aid of the Plant God.His deeds where a smashing success

Judecca, Serpent of Darkness
Mundus, The Mythic Age

The flames of the Titanomachy died down, giving way to a desolate land, an empty sea, and the spotless skies. The world that was once blessed with life was now left barren from the war. It was a necessary sacrifice to make, to usher in a new dominion of peace by the new beings called Gods. The seven headed serpent fell from battle, though its wounds were fatal its life clung upon the world as it assisted the downfall of its Mother. It's behemothian size crashed upon the murky depths of the seas where it slumbered for millenia, unable to see the end of the war. Yet the seas, too, vanished and dried when faced with the wrath of the Titans and Gods, Judecca's slumbering body is obscured by an abyss of darkness within once submerged underwater valleys.

However, now that the flames of war has died alongside the losers, the serpent has healed and was only waiting for the right moment to rise from the dark depths. It's brother, Murr Quhalden, created their airborne kin to return the winds of Mundus, Seadra's tempest that covered the entire planet of water and sea, and the return of monsters into their ancient home made the monstrous God stir from its slumber. The stormy seas shuddered from the awakening of the monster of the depths and its seven great heads poked out of the sea to marvel the new state of the world. Despite being at its developing stages, it was far more beautiful than the world which it remembers. It only remembered blood and fire, not storms and winds and life. Judecca finally rose from the sea and its seven heads spoke in unison, seeing that its fellow Gods have started creation. "Let darkness accompany light. May the night grant slumber upon Mundus as the sun retires from the horizon." After speaking, it first observed the curious message of fire that appeared in front of it before taking flight towards Mount Atherius.

Action: Create night time.

Azanla saw the other gods create beings and life using their power, and he had only made canyons on Terra that were now flooded. He summoned some divine fire and swirled it together, breathing life into it as he did so. He then picked up his sword and cut a small cut on his thumb. He let the divine blood drip into the fire, and a great light shone. He hoped his experiment was a success and that he would have beings that he could call his own.

Action: Attempt to make intelligent fire-beings.

Murr Quhalden,
God of Monsters

Life came to the world as the wind monsters carried the wind and formed to become more diverse as the atmosphere grew. As there was wind monsters, the sea monsters came back from the Maelstrom and Murr Quhalden was happy. Yet the world was still submerged by the ever-falling rain. Still, the monsters ran amok and it didn't matter to the God of Monsters for chaos was nature, and monsters were of nature. Murr saw the earth as it was being submerged by water and he knew that wouldn't do.

As the storm subsided and all that was left was the Great Ocean. All the water in the world and Murr Quhalden didn't like it, he liked the fire god and the power he portrayed. In response, he needed to set the land back to what it used to be. So Murr started to think of new monsters to help lower the oceans and raise the lands. The best ideas came to the God of Monsters was those that were able to move the earth. These monsters would be underground and be tamed by the god's command, to carve the lands that can be use for the rest of the monsters.

Action:Create tamed underground earth monsters to raise the land and separate the Great Ocean

Edia
Goddess of War

Edia sighed at the failure of her first attempt. Clearly she would need to use more of her power to do this. She heard Azanla call for a council but decided she would go once this was complete. She would use not just her spear to shape the Angels. She would use a piece of her spear to give them the strength to fight. She would use part of her shield to give them not just the ability but the will to defend themselves and others. She would use
a piece of her armor to give them the equipment to fight. And finally she would use some of her godly power to give them life.

Action: Once again attempt to create Warrior Angels

The Awakening of Armonk, God of Fortresses.
The Mythic Age - Era 0
Year 0 - 1

Murr Quhalden had manifested the winds into creatures.

Azanla strunk the lands and create the mountains and volcanoes.

Edia failed to create her ideal image of angels.

Seadra fill the lands of Terran with oceans of endless water.

Bedros’s assistance was minor in the creation of the great oceans.

Dejar’s success was astounding - creating intricate planets and greenlife on a few islands that stand.

All of these Gods, Murr Quhalden, Azanla, Edia, Bedros, Dejar, have created much noise. So much noise in fact that it managed to awake the resting God of Fortresses, Armonk. It was supposed to be a couple of more years before he would awake from his sleep, but at last, Armonk’s rest was cut short by the troublesome Gods terraforming Terra.

The Fortress of Solitude was Armonk’s home, a isolated place away in the High Heavens that no pesky Gods would find. Reawaken, Armonk pushed open his great fortress gates to see below on what progress had the Gods made.

Hhm. The Terra that Armonk once knew was covered in oceans of great size. Only a few islands stood tall and big enough to remain as land. This was not suitable for Armonk. These great oceans were obstacles in his view. How could grand fortresses be built by morals - if there was no solid ground to work with? In that case, Armonk now sought to undo these oceans to allow for bigger land masses to form.

But how? Well, it been thousand years snice Armonk last meet the Gods - so it’ll be best if he could remember. Thankfully, Armonk has recorded all the God’s names and their domain in a Great Book before he slept.

Flipping through many old pages, Armonk found the name of Azanla under the potential list of rulers of Atherius. God of FIre, he was. Armonk then noticed Murr Quhalden, God of Monsters, below Azanla on the list. They may be able to help him somehow.

Yet, something was missing. Ah, yes, his hammer. Sadly, he lost it in his great sleep. So, I guess it's time for Armonk to forge a new hammer for himself. There is much to do in this new age, but he first needs to forge his Hammer of Armonk in order to do anything proper. So off he goes back to his Fortress of Solitude - where his forge shall be.

Action : Forge the Hammer of Armonk

Alaric

He came down the mountain to look at what his fellow gods and goddesses were up to. Earlier there was no beauty in the world, with it being barren from the war and all. But just a few moments later, oceans came, mountains and volcanoes towered to the skies, and life had arrived. All was good in the world, but none of the creatures were aware of their surroundings in a sapient way, and could be compared to animals. This had to be corrected. And so Alaric began forming many statues of porous rock in his image, what he planned with these, however, remained to be seen.

Action: Form humanoid statues of porous rock.

Dejar looked upon the world and smiled, seeing the work of his fellow gods, as well as sensing the work of his plants, as they spread their roots and began to grow, But, upon seeing the birth of the sea, realized that if his legacy was to survive, he would need some kind of being, some plant that could take in air from the water, and survive the salt. Putting together his hands into his pouch, he pulled out a seed, a simple bulb. Waving his hand over it,he began to chant.

Seadra stood on the water and smiled. The Great Ocean was gorgeous beyond belief, and the world of Terra was once more a life-giving gemstone on the canvas of reality. Then it happened a great fire message was sent from Azanla King of the Gods. Not one to defy her ruler she immediately turned in a spear of water and traveled to where he stood.

A giant chariot emerged from a vortex, from a different dimension, blazing across the sky and lighting the entire world. There was no rider yet it landed on the geographic center of the planet and radiated immense divine energy. The horses the size of mountains soon stopped and rested in the glistening waters assuming their position. This is believed to be the fabled Isles of the Divines created by Aetempas where Terra had first given birth to the Titans countless eons ago before the gods walked the earth. It is said to hold a great power if a god where take this prize it would increase his or her power greatly.

Judecca
Judeccas efforts where a remarkable success. A world once bathed eternally in light would now know darkness. A shroud of shadow, cascaded from above and covered half the planet. His power was not enough to cover the entirety of Terra in darkness but it was enough to ensure that from this point onward one part of the world would know light while the other would know darkness this would have a great impact on the planet from this point onward.

Azanla
The King of the Gods was ambitious, thus he cut his hand. His blood fell from his thumb and mixed with the soil of the earth and something fantastic occurred. A great vortex of fire erupted from the earth and reached the heavens, from it a fiery being was born, taking a humanoid form. They looked at their creator as if lost and not knowing what to do in this moment of time.

+1 Fire-Beings

Murr Quhalden
The God of Monsters set to work creating his earthly beasts. He took the soil of the earth and shaped its monsters, horrendous in nature, as before they came in all sorts of shapes and sizes somewhere bipedal others had six limbs and crawled across the breadth of the earth. They were too wild to be tamed and soon rampaged across the earth. Some stomped and created islands in their mist. Others burrowed deep into the earth causing earthquakes.

+1 Earth Monsters (Wild)
Edia
Try as she might, it seemed the task was too great. The light she had given them would either collapse or spread across the wind shattering itself across the air. The Goddess of War had failed in her ambitions, and the Angels could not be created. Perhaps a source of power, or collaborating with her fellow gods would bear fruit.
Armonk
The God of Fortresses struggled in forging his hammer. Try as he might the mysteries of blacksmithing alluded him, and every creation he made faded from existence. It seemed he had a dillema on his hands, in crafting his divine artifact.

Alaric
The God of Illusions was successful at shaping the rocks of the earth to his will. The statues were soon given the breath of life and looked at their master for guidance, for they knew not what to do with the life they were given

+1 statue beings
Dejar

Dejars song reverberated across the earth and shuddered in response. His seed soon spread across the vastness of the world and flourished across the seas. It was a great success indeed. Great Kelp forests soon covered the entire planet, the ocean was full of life now and more diverse biologically speaking. Once more the Lord of Plants was a success beyond doubt.

Seadra
Seadra teleported across reality. Far she traveled to reach Azanla the King of the Gods. She saw how he had just created his species of fire beings.

Azanla turned to see Seadra appear and said "Welcome, Seadra. You are the first of the Atherians to respond to my call. While I have made a being of fire, I wish to make something that all the Atherians took part in and can be proud of. A mortal being that worships all of us, and not just me." He turned to his creations, which were looking at him with confusion. He said "I will call you Ignis. That is the name of your species. I will try and give you the gift of speech, but do not worry if I fail, as someone else will surely give you speech in time."

Action: Try and give the power of speech to the Ignis.

Judecca, Serpent of Darkness
Mundus, Terra, The Mythic Age

Night fell upon the world of Terra as the Serpent took flight onto the stormy skies. "Yes... Just the perfect balance." What was once a world that is only ruled by light, perhaps even before the time of the Primordials, now darkness descended upon the world and brought equilibrium. This marks the Serpent's grand statement of existence and also paving the way for how the world would develop in the future. Its monstrous body engulfed the skies and casted a shadow upon the stormy seas and tiny islands, almost comparable to night itself. Its seven heads kept their eyes, burning a baleful purple gaze, towards the highest and most holy peak of this world. With a great roar Judecca's body was engulfed in darkness and the darkness flew towards the King of the Gods. It would be insulting to keep the victor of the war waiting after all.

Action: Travel to Mount Atherius and pay visit to Azanla.

Edia
Goddess of War

Edia was frustrated this was not working. She would need help for this or some sort of source of power. She did not really trust the other gods to not corrupt the angels for their own purpose so she decided to search for some source of power to help her with this and if that failed she would then work with a fellow god. She took off from Mount Atherius to search for something to help her in this endeavor.

Action: Begin searching for something to either act as a source of power or to increase Edia's power so she can create these angels.

They had worked! Though, they seemed to have worked too well. The breath of life was never intended for these stone folk, but the God of Illusions was a pragmatic man, and he saw opportunity in these people of stone. His original plan simply needed a few edits, and would not need to be averted. The god told his peoples to stay in their spots, and flew away, and went to wherever the monsters of wind and fire were. And he made them chase him, the wild beings they were. Now, the next part of the plan could be executed. He led them to his statue people, and told them to stay put.

Action: Lure the fire and wind beasts into the statue people, merging them using the porous rock as an absorbent.

Murr Quhalden, God of Monsters

The Monster God had saw the earth monsters took form, as of most life, and knew that this wildness must cease for a time. Yes, the chaos of the rampage started to bring land back, and the air breathable but what about this new life? The new monsters of this world needed to know who crafted them, who shaped them and their duties to this new reality. It was here that he spotted other creations being unfolded, the fire-beings of his king, plantlife and some statutes. It was here he saw the goddess of war trying to make her own creations but failing as well. They were searching, searching for something that he already had saw appear from the vortex of lore.

A large chariot of horses and power radiated across reality, something more powerful than the God of Monsters. It was something he needed to curb this unnecessary rampage across Terra in order to reshape the world and bring further order to the chaos that was happening.

He remembered that his former mother told him that this was the location of the fabled Isles of the Divines, a birthplace for his mother and a place where Murr could find a place that he can finally build a new place for monsters.

But first, he must go to the horses and try to use its power to control the wild creatures that he set loose to terraform the land.

Action: Go to the chariot and try to control the Isles of the Divines.

This account must be deleted. The person behind it is a racist, annoying waste of life that must be shunned back to whatever rock he crawled out from.

As Stubborn As He May Be
The Mythic Age (Era 0)
Year 1 - 2

What a dilemma that Armonk has found himself in. Each of his hammers that he created fades off into nonexistence. This issue...Armonk has no real answer to. Could it be that he’s not a patreon of blacksmithing? Is it because of lack of skills? Maybe he’s not the God King? Who knows.

Whatever the case, Armonk has determination to continue on, despite the obstacles. Coals shall burn. Steel shall be heated and pounded against. A hammer that shall always fade from existence. Even if his hammers were disappearing into the void - Armonk was learning his failures.

Every hammer he forged - it gave Armonk valuable lessons in metal-craft. Like the fortresses he builds, a hammer is no different. It is simply a different field that needs practice. Hammer after hammer, Armonk crafts - for it all fades into nothingness.

It all repeats, over, and over. A annoyance - yes - but Armonk has no issue with this dilemma. Eventually he’ll figure it out. Eventually….

Seadra Goddess of the Ocean
Mount Aethrius

Seadra took her seat on her own throne. It was in the shape of various seashells, and colorful coral. She watched the fiery beings with interest and curisoity then turned to Azanla. Seadra was not much for words, but understood what her lord was trying to convey.

"Yes a species that will worship us,I am not sure what the nature of said species shall be but perhaps it is something all the Atherians can collabrate on"

With that she took a bright multicolored shell from her throne, and crushed it, then let the dust fall from the peaks of mighty Atherius to the ocean below, then whispered a divine spell to bring new life to the sea.

Action: Seed the ocean with mollusk lifeforms.
