It was the dawn of a new era when the world was forged in the flames of Chaos, and tempered by the hands of Order. The Primordials beings of great power were born from both Order and Chaos. It was Order who gave life and willpower to these beings. Yet Chaos wished to sow the seeds of discord and whispered into the ears of the Primordials giving birth to strife and conflict. Thus the Great Cycle was born one that would see reality shatter and reform itself endlessly across the pages of space and time.
The Primordials would fight an epic battle for who would come to rule the Universe. Mundus or the mundane plane was born from this very war of creation and destruction. Entire planets were born, nebula and galaxies created from the constant destruction. Many beings would emerge from this time of ruin, the Fates, who weaved the destinies of Gods and mortals alike, the Furies who exacted punishment on those who broke their oaths. In the end, the most powerful Primordial Aetempas Brightlord of the Heavens would reign victorious over all of creation. Aetempas would shire seven children with the Earth-Mother Terra giving birth to the all-powerful Titans.
At first, the Titans served the Primordials well, but the Fates foretold that Aetempas would be overthrown by his firstborn son Terratus. Aetempas would send the Serephims servants of the Lord of the Heavens to chain the Titans and banish them to the depths of Maelstrom. In the end, Terratus defeated the Serephims and rallied the Titans declaring war on the Primordials for their betrayal. The world was reforged in this second Divine War; the Primordials would be driven to extinction, Terratus would forever chain his father to the Sky separating him from Terra forever.
Now the Titans would be the undisputed rulers of existence for millions of years to come, yet the Fates continued to weave their destinies of all beings and foretold new beings that would come to rule the cosmos. The gods born from the various love affairs of the Titans, or born by the cosmic forces were at first beneath the Titans but soon grew in power. Terratus like his father feared being overthrown and tried to banish the gods to Maelstrom, but in the end, the gods rebelled, and soon the First Titanomachy was born. The gods would end up defeating the Titans in yet another epic war of the divines. In a twist of irony Terratus along with the other Titans would be banished to Maelstrom for all of the eternity tormented for their betrayal.
Now the Aetherian Gods are the undisputed rulers of the Cosmos, they rule victorious from their base of power Mount Atherius. Mundus is in ruins, having been destroyed in the Titanomachy and an entirely new world is ready to be forged, for better or worse a new destiny shall be born in this Mythic Age where gods walk the earth.
