Primary Ability: Energy Charging — For all intensive purposes, Watts is a living power generator. He is able to generate and store a form of golden energy that is similar in its properties to electricity, but also similar to the type of energy found in an explosion. This is where Watt's primary ability comes into play: weaponizing objects. By imbuing objects with this energy, they will become dangerous to the touch and will gain a variety of attributes based on the type of object. Inevitably, the energy that builds up in the object will discharge violently, either out onto a target of Watt's choice (usually things that are nearby) or onto the object itself, with varying effects depending on the object. The usual effect causes the object to launch in the direction of Watts's choice with (literally) explosive energy, while a few other applications can occur depending on the target object's characteristics, such as short-circuiting things or making floor surfaces into traps. To name an example, a bottle charged with his energy will launch the cap out from the bottle at dangerous speeds, turning it into an impromptu stun round, while a metal floor panel imbued with his energy will turn it into a hazard that shocks anything it comes close to.

Other Abilities: Look, Ma, "Wallhacks" — It should be noted that "fixed" objects like walls and doors—especially those that are metal—can conduct Watts's energy just as well as any regular object can. Hypothetically, this means that Watts, if he were to punch a wall, would be able to strike an enemy in another room by having his energy simply pass through the other side and discharge out onto the target. This works better with metal walls, as regular walls may water down the strength of the discharge.
Explosion Inducement: By loading excessive amounts of energy into an object, Watts can cause the object to, effectively, become a bomb that may explode on demand, indiscriminately damaging anything nearby. The amount of energy produced from this explosion varies depending on the size of the object, as is the energy required to turn it into a bomb. For example, a weaponized bottle will explode with around the same force as a hand grenade, while a larger object like a motorcycle will make a larger explosion.

Power Drawbacks: The Heart Disease — The amount of energy Watts can produce depends on how hyper or awake he is, meaning a groggy, tired, or exhausted Watts can produce little to no amounts of energy. Coincidentally, this brings up an issue in Watts's medical dossier: an unknown heart disease, seemingly related to his powers. Theoretically, if Watts were to gain a significant boost in energy, either by absorption or adrenaline doses, his body would activate a natural safeguard and shut him down, preventing him from exceeding levels that would otherwise harm his body. While the condition is not life-threatening and workout and conditioning can raise the threshold, it bars him from reaching levels that would otherwise allow him to gain absurdly higher levels.
Newton — Watts cannot create energy by remaining idle—his body must be in activity or in motion to start producing energy. Additionally, he requires excessive amounts of energy to turn larger objects into bombs, which also takes into account his heart strain putting a limit onto how much energy he can hold.

Biggest Flaw: Just like a Wall Street stock investor and a gambler, Watts is a risk-taker. He isn't afraid to say what's on his mind, even if it comes off as offensive to others, nor is he afraid to challenge himself physically and mentally to complete even the most menial of tasks. While this could be seen as a positive mindset, Watts's definition of "risks" usually involves him acting cockily towards others, deliberately getting him into tough situations or altercations with others either out of entertainment or to challenge himself. In other words, he doesn't give a shit about what other people think or about his own safety, which obviously transfers to other areas. He sees stepping up to an obviously difficult or un-winnable fight the same as he does almost blowing himself up: simple fun.
Main Skills: Aside from being a skilled gambler and card-player with a strange streak of luck, Watts is apparently aware of his powers and the many applications of his powers in combat, making him a very versatile fighter that can quickly hold his weight in battle. He has learned to combine his powers with his fighting style, which involves outsmarting opponents rather than beating them senseless with brute force.

Personality: Watts is very difficult to understand at first. As stated before, he is an outgoing, flamboyant, and hot-headed individual, which sometimes makes it difficult for people to distinguish if he is being overtly sarcastic or serious most of the time. He usually takes things with a grain of seriousness, and is more likely to make short quips about missions or comments about a female teammate's bosoms than contribute to important briefing discussions. Additionally, Watts can be selfish at times, usually hoarding things of value to himself. Deep down inside, however, lies a heart of gold, which belongs to Watts who—in dire situations—will put the lives and safety of others in front of his own.

Biography: Oscar Watts was born to a rather unremarkable upper-middle class family in Atlanta. Like most kids his age, he had a rather regular upbringing and did regular kid things like playing baseball, watching TV, and sneaking out late at night to meet with girls. With no apparent health defects at birth, and no metahuman history in his family, Watts seemed like a pretty normal person living a relaxed life. For some strange reason, however, his mother had always advised him to keep away from sweets and sugar-heavy foods as a child and urged him not to engage in contact heavy, adrenaline rushing sports, like football. Later on in his life, he'd find why this was a very good choice on his mother's end.

Although Watts, who went to a private school and did fairly well in his classes compared to his colleagues, had technically developed his powers at birth, he hadn't ever actually discovered that he possessed his powers until he was well into his teenage years, when he witnessed a mugging near a convenience store on his walk home. The shocking event triggered the activation of his powers as he rushed to help, turning his bottle of soda into an impromptu stun gun as he took down the mugger in one fell, cola-flavored swoop. When the event actually happened, however, Watts was unaware of how uncontrollable his power could actually be, and made no moves to try to keep it a secret. The following week of school was a rather interesting one as he tested out his powers in the worst place possible, with varying results, including periodic power outages (his doing), throwing a super-charged basketball at someone (his doing), and "accidentally" giving a teacher one of the worst static electricity shocks in his life (also his doing). Needless to say, the school and his family wasn't too happy to hear about his newfound ability, but gave him a compromise: he would be put into a special program alongside other students that happened to have powers, which would educate him on how to properly use his powers for good or, conversely, how to suppress them from the public.

Not wishing to do the latter and embracing his new powers, Watts learned as much as he could from the program, once again going out and testing his rather dangerous powers on the unscrupulous members of the city in late-night missions, thus beginning a streak of vigilantism and physical training. He was able to get up close and personal with drug dealers, human traffickers, and even active bank robbers thanks to his cocky demeanor, almost blatant disregard for his safety, and his new secret identity, "Mega-Watt," while also learning tricks of the trade from older, more experienced vigilantes that were kind enough to offer advice or a helping hand. As it turned out, all one really needed to conceal their identity was a deeper voice, a mask, and some different clothing—provided the police didn't catch you and find out who you were right away—so Watts used his super-alias to fight criminals and keep the streets clean, often getting himself into dangerous predicaments when faced with armed enemies, many of whom were trying to kill him for his alleged cheating in gambling. However, this streak of vigilantism, as fun as it was, was taking him away from his academic career, so he sidelined his career to focus on his academics, which ultimately paid off.

Watts would later move to the United Kingdom, accepted to a school far away from his home (that he, quite frankly, wanted to distance himself from). While he wished to continue his studies, he also grew a calling—a strange calling to once again use his powers in a productive manner that would be beneficial for himself and others he came across. In other words, he wanted to go back to being a vigilante. However, in a city with all-pervasive surveillance and media coverage, becoming a vigilante out of the blue would likely be registered as a villain making his debut instead of a new vigilante on the block. That made things rather difficult in getting back into the vigilante scene...

...Alternatively, the Syndicate happened to have a team in the area, Team Fox, which combined publicity, teamwork, and better living conditions than his apartment into one nice package. It made for the perfect way for Mega-Watt to get back into things, and so Oscar promptly requested to join the team. This came, though, with some doubt: they likely already knew that he was Mega-Watt not just by name alone, but also by small breadcrumbs left behind in his past, and accepting a vigilante (or former one) didn't seem to be the Syndicate's thing. Behind his excitement, Watts wasn't expecting to make it far.

However, what he wasn't expecting was for the Syndicate to reply to him with an accepted invitation, a new uniform, and a position on Team Fox.

Primary Ability: Hypercognition: Nico's mind moves far faster than that of the average human. This is not only useful for remembering things quickly and other small tasks like being able to quickly learn and store away useless facts, but for larger things such as designing technology and figuring out large scale problems. Generally, the fact that her mind processes things faster also means that her responses are faster, and it helps her with learning new skills and expanding her current skills much quicker than an average person. Nico is the kind of person that can get a grasp on a complicated subject by, say, reading a book instead of spending months learning it. Also, in a battle, she can get an idea of her opponent's moves much quicker than a normal combatant, and adapt her own plan or her team's plan quicker.

Electronics Knowledge: Everyone has their specialty, even the ultra smart, and Nico's is engineering. She's good at making electronics work, long story short. This is less of an ability in itself and more of a subset of her main ability. She can take apart electronics and easily know how to put them back together again, but that's only scratching the surface. She's good at altering them, studying their designs to make new ones, and more. This varies, including everything from robotics to the latest smartphone technology. After all, she's spent a lot of time studying.

Other Abilities: Radiation: Nico emits a faint radiation from her body. Not enough to hurt anyone but it's still there, faintly. She was born like this and it's believed to be the result of an abnormality with the same gene that caused her main power to develop. However, she can also build up more radiation within herself and channel it into her hands or other objects such as a gun. This means that she can effectively use it as ammunition, provided she has enough charged up. It takes about five minutes to go full charge, and while that doesn't sound like a large amount of time, it means that in a fight she has to balance her usage of this power to avoid running out and getting caught in a matchup where she can't do anything offensively because of only having a small charge.

Power Drawbacks: Supplies Not Included: Nico might be able to visualize the best equipment ever but that doesn't mean she can actually make it. She might have hypercognition but she doesn't have hyperspeed or unlimited supplies which constrains what she can make. She can't just make a nuke, for example, because she doesn't have the supplies for it and she's also just one person who isn't a master at assembling every component that goes into every creation. Therefore, she's restricted to what she can order in supplies for and by how much time it would make to create something.

Armor Not Included: For all her smarts, Nico is still a regular human compared to others who have physical based abilities. She might have her radiation ability but that doesn't give her a way to defend herself and a lot of the times, she's vulnerable if you can get her into an actual fight. Being a frontline fighter just isn't who she is deep down and it's not her forte. Even if she learned some of the skills, she's not physically imposing despite her height and lacks the strength to take down an opponent in melee. In other words, she makes a difference in the workshop and not the battlefield.

Equipment: Her equipment varies because she can custom design equipment for a specific mission. However, in general she carries a small quadrotor drone in her backpack that can be deployed to scout the surrounding area. That same bag holds some of her other equipment, including a machete strapped to the side of the bag in case she needs it for close quarters combat. Her typical weapon of choice is an AWM sniper rifle, which fits her style of staying behind the others and not getting into too many close ranged fights. She also carries enough tools to do basic repairs in the field on various things such as vehicles being used by the team, and other pieces of equipment. Her last sidearm is a Glock 19, which she has with her both in and out of missions.

Biggest Flaw: Nico's biggest flaw is perhaps her inability to just be herself and forget about all the pressure and about running a business and being a hero. She's very much connected 24/7 to it all and she's always wearing a mask for others, either to intimidate them to protect herself or to impress them and further her business. This extends to her behavior with the team. And it's easy for her to lose sight of her real self, which still knows how to have fun.
Main Skills: Obviously, Nico is a genius level programmer and engineer. She's good at memorizing designs, coming up with new designs, and well, just about everything relating to this kind of tech. She has other skills but at the end of the day this is the one that she'd be remembered for.

Personality: Confident and charming, Nico is the person that you would expect to be at the head of a large company. She's also the person you would expect to excel on a hero team. But those things could be described as masks. Things projected by Nico to get a desired result. Who is she underneath? Well, that's more complicated. She's very down to Earth for a millionaire and cares deeply about her inner circle. She also has a somewhat hedonistic personality. That is, she enjoys having fun. Unfortunately, however, she feels like she can't show all of these sides in public. No, the side she shows everyone is the one that makes her look like a leader, or perhaps the charismatic and charming one. Never... Her more human elements. She has a reputation as a playboy type, really. But she takes it beyond just having nice things and sleeping around. She's focused on charming every person she meets. Even if her feelings deep down towards them are completely different than the ones she admits to most people. And even if she wins friends under a personality that isn't hers.

Biography: New York City... Home of lights, cameras, wait a second-

Nico wasn't born in New York City but to the north, in the southern Hudson Valley region. She grew up in a smaller town and in a middle class family and everything was normal except for, well, the fact that she had powers. Her hypercognition emerged earlier and it really didn't take any time at all for her to become known as the smartest one in her class. The one that ended up in trouble for correcting the teachers and cutting them off with the answers before they finished the question. But after getting some detentions, she mostly stopped doing that and settled for boredom. After breezing through high school, she went to college at Cornell.

In her spare time, she worked on the plans she had begun in the years prior, developing them more as she learned engineering. The plans were larger than anything she believed she would realistically be able to accomplish... But she underestimated herself and her power, because what she didn't expect was to attract some investors when she was in her final year of college. The thing is, her plans involved tweaking existing designs to create internet cables that would allow for even faster speeds. Something mundane, but also something that would sell to millions of people. Her designs reached the hands of investors, those investors bought in, and Lucius Enterprises was founded. It wasn't long before she had graduated and they were laying their first cables.

Business was booming. The young company set up its first HQ in New Rochelle, New York, choosing to not move out west to work with the Big Tech companies. No, Nico was a maverick in this business and she decided that her goal was to change the system instead of just making money. You could say it was a personal grudge, of someone who had the opinion that the west coast had far too much power in the online and tech world. The internet company? That was just a jumping off point. Nico launched SocialNet a few years after the internet business, with the goal of rivaling existing social media companies. They had a decent platform to run on. They'd provide a site that functioned well and they wouldn't censor.

Quickly, Nico rose even further in terms of net worth and ended up in a battle with basically... All of Silicon Valley. And all the internet companies hated her for undercutting them and pricing her faster internet much lower, which was how she made as much money as she did in the first place. But still, she was rising in both the business world and public opinion. She stuffed her old small town personality away and replaced it with a charismatic one, always flying around the country or internationally to promote a product and always commanding her company personally, returning to New Rochelle frequently to work on new projects. It was exhausting. But she brought the new company to great heights before the age of 30.

Still, there was pressure. She was shot at in California only two months after the SocialNet launch, and one year after that, a car bomb went off near her just outside of her company headquarters. She believed that Facebook was the culprit, as one of her main competitors. Down the line, she would announce that she was moving to the United Kingdom for now. Many speculated that it was to get away from the dangers of the United States on either coast, with so many companies wanting her dead. And then, she announced in a shocking decision, she would be joining the Syndicate to provide "technical" support in the UK. The exact meaning of this? It wasn't defined. And a lot of people believe she joined solely for protection from Silicon Valley. But still, a major CEO being an active Syndicate member is... Something worthy of drawing plenty of news cameras to the scene, at least.

Primary Ability: Energy Channeling - Rosalie can channel a variety of energies (currently Electricity, Thermal, and Visible Light) into objects and people around her. Depending on the metaproperites (purpose) and physical properties of the item in question, changes what it does. A person simply becomes immune, and can release some of that energy out of their hands. Guns fire bolts of energy of that type (Damage, range, speed, accuracy determined by the gun in question). Grenade through them off in an explosive wave, and so on.

Other Abilities: Machine Empathy - Rosalie just seems to understand machines, even if she doesn't know what, she knows when something is wrong. When working on them, she instinctively knows the best way to put pieces together, and how they work together. What she doesn't get is why they work together (her studies do that), or how to break something. Even then, the more complex the machine, the more parts, the longer it takes to learn it and it's explicit 'feel'.

Power Drawbacks: Energy Channeling - Beyond normal problems with magic, Rosalie has to touch her target to create the connection to channel, and should she break the channel, touch it once more. Additionally, she can only maintain three (originally two) channels at a time, be it all three energies into one thing, into three different things, or a mix and match.

Equipment: First up is the MK I Stormcrow Advanced Armor suit. A creation of magitech, it is advanced modern power armor (focused on making it feel weightless, while providing protection like Level IV body armor) with integrated commlink, flash suppression visor, sound dampening insulation, and general other comforts. Built by Rosalie for Rosalie, it's custom fitted for her, and was designed to channel her magic as efficiently as possible. Powered by her channeling, and enhanced by it (The electricity channel provides extra power, the other only the normal benefits) it is the a near perfect marriage of magic and technology.

Next Rosalie has the MK II Thunder Rifle, a 5.56 rifle similarity built with all the features you'd expect of a modern military rifle, and then some. sg Designed once more with Rosalie's powers in mind, it channels her magic into more effective attacks than a normal rifle, be it an M16 or AK-104, could manage.

Finally, she carries a group of pump-pressurized, timer grenades similarly designed for her powers. Using simple air pressure and a small pump, they can be used to create devastating area attacks with Rosalie's powers, while also being nearly endlessly reusable assuming she can get her hands on the grenade once more.

Finally, she usually carries at least one normal flashbang, and a combat knife.

Biggest Flaw: Rosalie is single mined to a fault (and a workaholic). Once she's doing something, it's extremely difficult to shake her focus, or even just take care of basic needs like sleeping and eating regularly. This is both a good and bad thing, making her work quickly, but equally, taking her out of the right headspace in fights, or when dealing with people.
Main Skills: Beyond her great skill with robotics, and general engineering, Rosalie has taught herself how to fight. While there are plenty of better fighters out there, she can hold her own on a battlefield, and is probably the only person that fully understands how her equipment functions. Decent programmer, but never really cared for computers the way she does other machines, describes them as 'rude'. English, Mandarin, Arabic, German, Japanese.

Personality: Rosalie is a kind person a heart, a steadfast and loyal friend to boot. Above that however are other problems that can prove difficult for other people to manage. She has little understanding of relationships, doesn't quite understand people problems, and some people find her rude because she tends to speak her mind. She can be oblivious, and once you get her talking about anything she'e working on, or anything exciting in the tech field as a whole, it's hard to shut her up. Still, she's a cheerful person, confident in her designs, though she harbors insecurities about herself, and has called herself trivial and unimportant in the past.

Biography: Money, fancy education, luxuries galore, and all the baggage that comes with them. This is what Rosalie was born into, second child of five, and the smartest of the bunch. She had high expectations put on her, and at first, she lived up to them. She excelled in her classes, was a hard working, and active student. Still, she never made the connections her parents were hoping for. The town was a melting pot of old money, and new silicon valley types, and forging alliances, and connections between them were essential, especially to her mother who had hoped that her daughter would follow her into the tech industry.

Come high school though, their expectations had shifted. Rosalie worked herself to the bone on her projects, and had fewer friends than ever, with only a scant few sticking with her till time for college. With no interest in distractions like relationships, Rosalie was able to focus on showing herself as the best and brightest of her school, and eventually, did the same at MIT. Still not following either parents path, Rosalie eventually graduated MIT with a masters in both Robotics and Engineering.

From there, she went on to join the Syndicate, undergoing training, and eventually being assigned to Team Fox. Since then, she's rarely appeared to teammates, toiling away in the workshop on her armor, which she nears completion of. Unusually for her, she's been tight lipped on what she's working on, and has kept away even her few friends on the team so that the debut of the MK I Stormcrow Advanced Armor would be a surprise to them, though she kept staff informed of what she was doing so that they could monitor it properly.

This means that a noise from firing a rocket launcher and the rocket itself is the equivalent of being able to hear air molecules collide with each other 10 meters away. This also applies to firearms as well: hearing Jerry fire a .50 cal sniper rifle is like being able to eavesdrop on a conversation occurring 30 kilometers away. Explosives are also impossible to hear with his ability as a 20lb explosive is as loud as a car crash occurring in Paris while the person hearing it was in London. Since noise is reduced to near nothing, the effects of sound on the environment is also heavily reduced. Not only would his victim not hear a grenade explosion, the person also wouldn't be able to feel the tremors caused by the soundwaves.

Power Drawbacks: The near absolute silence of his powers is limited by his range. If a rocket leaves the four yard radius, all noise that it emits will immediately resume as soon as its beyond the range. Additionally, the absence of silence would cause people to believe that something unordinary is present. This will be more apparent if they start experiencing auditory hallucinations and realize they are not speaking as loud as they used to be before Jerry arrives.

Personality: Outside his gregarious shell, he is a pragmatist. He'll kick a dog if it saves time and money when completing a bounty but he wont kick the same dog twice since the dog will be more liable to bite back.

Biography: Born in Londonderry, Jerry grew up in a rough neighborhood where it was dangerous to walk alone at night. Due to his parents not having the money to move out to a better place, he had to make do with his education and avoiding bullies. Unfortunately, he was much like a C+ student in class and was constantly harassed for his quiet demeanor. It didn't help back at home that his mother was abusive and his father too wrapped up in his own problems to help. However, there was a brief moment of heroism where Jerry's powers became active and he sneaked up and subdued his school bully as he was about to beat up another peer.
That incident, in reality, woke something inside of the Irish redhead. With the power of silence on his side, he can finally slip past the areas known for mugging whenever he walks home from school. Indeed, the amount of black eyes he would get every month was reduced drastically. But unfortunately, he still had to deal with his unsavory mother. After one too many beatings, Jerry finally snapped and he grabbed the kitchen knife and stabbed his mother. Due to his power already active, no one heard the scream and the falling of the body. The only person who bore witness was the father who was stumbling into the house drunk. Immediately, Jerry killed him too out of fear of calling the police. Later on, Jerry would regret killing his father since he hardly blames him for being drunk since it was an escape for his troublesome marriage.

After he murdered his parents, Jerry took whatever money and food he could find and ran off into the night, hopping from city to city working oddjobs and struggling daily to avoid getting caught. He had to join locals gangs in order to find a secure place to stay but more often than not, Jerry would use his power to pickpocket the gang treasury and bail out. Every time, he took on a new identity to prevent them from tracking them and if they did show signs of tracking down traitors, he would slit their throats in their sleep.

Finally, Jerry settled down in Belfast after believing no one was after him and took one a part time job as a chef in a local pizza restaurant. After a while, Jerry felt comfortable enough to start using his first name again but this time using his father's last name since he didn't want to bear any more memories of his awful mother. When he joined the IRA, his criminal activity resumed but this time as a hitman tasked to hunt down infiltrators for a radical branch of the organization. Jerry took on the name of "Dullahan" as his identity for all of his assassination contracts. After calculating that he was getting rather underpaid by the group, he began opening his hitman services to anyone willing to pay at a mildly higher price after he distanced himself away from the radicals and tried getting closer with the more moderate side of the IRA.

Age: He forgot, but his estimate ranges from 25 to 27. He's actually 24, but constantly forgets.
Build: Athletic and well built, the scars show how much it's been battered over the years. He stands at 1M78 and weighs about 70kg.

Barrier creation: Somewhat self explanatory but there's more to it. In its simplest form, his power means that he can create barriers that have different properties around him and a few allies. The main thing he can do is a shock resistant barrier that will hold up against most anything that is small arms fire or under. If he puts his mind to it, he can create a nigh impenetrable barrier.
However, that isn't all, his constant training and re-imagining of his power made it degenerate to something more attack oriented, and if he puts all his mind into attacking, he can create glass like structures fashioned in the form of weapons such as swords, spears, arrows... However he can also create platforms or exoskeletons to protect himself only and hit harder, though it falls under the protective barrier bit.
Other Abilities:
Resistance to disease: Due to his power drawback, he's built a significant resistance to most contagious diseases but notably the Spanish influenza.

Resistance to pain: Due to having fought left and right throughout the world, Heamet has managed to build up a resistance to pain that would place him on par with the average Spetsnaz operative.

Peak human stamina: Mostly due to training but also due to his line of work.
Power Drawbacks:
Influenza: Too much continued use of his power will progressively give him the symptoms of influenza, which, if used without restraint could cause him to black out or very simply die.
A solid, continued minute of using protective barriers or attacking with his power as well will cause him to be on the verge of blacking out. If somehow manages to keep himself awake, he can keep it up for one more minute before dying.

Main Skills: As he used to serve in the military and special forces in france, he is a surprisingly good shot with most anything. His strategic thinking is also very developed, though he prefers to say history is his domain of expertise. Beyond that he is an expert in CQC, coming out on top of most competitions he participated in.
Personality: Heamet is a notably reserved person, he has few friends but the few he has could tell you he gives in all in those friendships, loyal and easy to talk to, once you've managed to open him up. Back in france he was considered a sort of comic relief by his team, and acted the part, giving him a certain sense of how to act around people.
However, his main mask is what people have to go through to get to the actual good part, with it on, he is cocky and has massive problems with authority, along with that he may seem entirely aloof to most things around him.
This can make him notably difficult to approach, especially by possible allies. Though he is extremely interested by history, and more specifically Balkan history he can get pretty defensive should one talk about the Austro Hungarian empire or Yugoslavia. Despite the flaws of the region, he tends to hold them in high regard.

Biography: Heamet grew up as an awkward kid that discovered his powers very early on, and realized the limits and possible issues of using them just as early. His parents were made aware of his condition and attempted to support him as much as possible while defusing most of the problems he'd come into in school. So much so that even saying his name could be considered a threat by many in his city.
However, he managed to keep it in check without much issue. With some bouts of government interference during his late teen years, he was made to join the french Armée de Terre and followed afterwards by trying to join the special forces early on by making a case of his power. He ended up joining a year before it would've been authorized officially.

Following that, he joined the GIGN and operated everywhere in france and sometimes abroad. A particular change occurred when he was made to follow a joint team exercise with the Irish Army Ranger Wing, exercise during which he was blitzed with an attack from the fae. Most of the operation was swept under the rug, but shortly afterwards, he was honorably discharged from the french army. Following that, a few years of wandering throughout the world followed, where he attempted to learn as much as he could about his power, to little avail. Though he managed to make use of his connections to apply for an Irish citizenship and the authorization to build a house in the Czech countryside.
Recently with growing tensions, he headed to London, hoping to maybe find some connections or do some rogue peacekeeping.

She can create a portal up to twenty metres across, with roughly one metres in diameter as she begins, it slowly expanding from there over the course of five to ten minutes. Her portals can grow larger, but have increasingly diminishing returns, to the point that it only gets to 40 metres after another hour. After a full day (24 hours), focusing solely on a single portal, she managed to get it to 200 metres across. She can split this size across multiple portals.

Other Abilities:
Pull - After she has flooded an area with water, she can reverse the direction of flow in her portals to suck the water and anything that gets caught in it back through the portal. She can pull herself into her portals during the sucking cycle and reverse the flow to fling herself out, softening her landing using the water her portals generate. While useful for getting around, this will usually force her too far away from her portals, causing them to disappear.

Water Powers - She can change the state of her water created by her portals into either gaseous form (fog) or solid form (ice). On an instinctual lever, water does not harm her, simply rolling off of her without soaking into her, becoming soft to her, meaning she can land in water from any height and be fine, not allowing her to drown, and normalising in temperature when it comes close to her. She can turn this off, but it is theorised to be her power protecting her, to make sure her own portals cannot blast her by accident.

Power Drawbacks:
- She cannot travel far from her portals, though this distance is not set, as she has her good days and bad in equal measure. It ranges between 10 metres and 200, though the larger the portal (or the more portals she has open), the closer she must stay to it, to the point that is she is at her maximum portal size she must remain within steps of her portal.
- Her portals do take time to grow and are stationary, and to be truly effective she needs a team to hamper the movements of her enemies, or else they can simply stay out of the line of fire by moving quickly.
- Her portals take time to grow, and thus every time she has to banish and re-summon a portal, the size of it shrinks a metre in diameter for every second the portal is not in existence.
- Her water manipulation only applies to water her portals create, and she cannot shape it much (perhaps cause a few ripples, or make it still), just making it change from liquid to either solid (ice) or gas (fog).
- To reverse the flow of her portals takes anywhere from two seconds to thirty seconds (or longer if she has exceeded twenty metres), depending on the size of the portal. The larger it is, the more powerful the effect, but the more time it requires to shift gears.
- All of her portals start as gushing geysers, and her portals cannot grow as they suck up their water.
- The more portals she has, the harder it is to individually change them, though if they are smaller it is much easier to manage. Two ten metre in diameter portals would have to either suck or blow, while forty half metre in diameter portals could have a roughly even split between them.
- She does not have any sort of enhanced body, though her ability allows her to weather high pressure water with no issue. She is just as vulnerable as anyone else, and just as strong. Perhaps a bit more than the average person, due to extensive training as a hero, but still nowhere near meta human levels.

Biggest Flaw: Her driving motivation is appearing powerful and being respected by those around her, while the threat of physical harm or embarrassment holds her back from putting herself in situations where she could be harmed, limiting what she can do on the field. However, making her look bad can make her become irrationally vengeful, seeking to assert her power against the person who slighted her. While she is relatively good at using her staff after years of practise, she has never quite been able to master using a gun, capable at shorter ranges but with no great skill like one might need in a battle.
Main Skills: She is something of a genius, though not as much as meta humans with powers that make them geniuses. She can read and process relatively large amounts of information quickly and picks up knowledge of how to do things quickly, though she leans towards more artistic pursuits, combining them with skilled small scale engineering to create beautiful weapons, like her taser staff and her knife. She also has a knack for architectural design. Her voice is beautiful as well, high and clear like fragile glass, but capable of keeping up with even the most powerful Broadway scores.

Personality: She is a very calm person, having gotten to where she is by being skilled in using her power and being able to use any situation to her advantage. She is usually very pleasant and agreeable, as long as she feels she is getting her way and has some measure of control over a situation. However, she does have a penchant for spectacle and a sense of pride that can get away from her, making any slight have to be dealt with severely. She has no problem with verbal barbs or physical aggression, but making her feel stupid or hurting her will make her either extremely angry or she will internalise her anger and strike out at a later date with even more hate behind her actions.

Biography:
Victoria was born in Melbourne to two immigrants, her father from Pakistan and her mother from South Africa. Her early life was relatively normal, though she excelled in her educational pursuits and found time to follow her own passions, like musical theatre and architecture. It wasn't until she was fifteen that her powers began to manifest. It happened in the middle of traffic, accidentally blasting several cars off of the road her family was driving down, and due to the public nature of this first outburst the Syndicate quickly found her and recruited her before any criminals could get to her. She joined the Australian HQ Training Facility in Canberra where she learned to use her powers. She graduated after the two year training period at 17, being assigned to the Melbourne Koalas. For three years she served well, though her powers did not work well with the other members of her team, eventually resulting in her transfer to the New York City Manta Rays as a "promotion" for two years, then was transferred to become an assistant team leader in the Boston Swans after several key members of their team were killed and they needed quick replacements.

The second picture depicts her with her team leader (in the grey mask) along with her fellow assistant team leaders. She was always an asset to any team she was on, but it was in Boston she truly shined. Though a smaller branch of the Syndicate, the Boston team uniquely complimented her powers, with two powerful meta humans who could utilise water in a variety of ways and several meta humans who could hamper and harry their enemies into position while she steadily grew the size of her portal until the enemy was down. The "theme" of the Boston branch of the Syndicate, which her team leader (a man named Arch who had an uncanny ability to construct anything given the right materials, based on glimpses of the future and how they would be used) insisted on, was elegance. The entire team was outfitted in luxurious and highly durable costumes created by Arch himself, and upon transfer to the London Foxes Victoria has yet to change her costume, as this new team doesn't seem to bother with a cohesive costume theme. Her transfer was a bit of a surprise, but such a choice was caused by a variety of factors. Victoria is a powerhouse with a build up time, requiring an otherwise highly mobile or extremely tough team to work around, which the group of Foxes were going to be. The Boston Swans had several powerful players, able to handle her loss in stride, unlike many other teams, which played a factor as well. While sad to leave her team behind and a bit disgruntled about her seeming demotion, Victoria cannot deny she is excited about her transfer to what some consider the capital of the meta human world.

While most of his story for CNN was fake, he made it sound so believable that CNN payed him double the agreed upon amount. With plenty of money and connections, he made a fortune in a weird world. But with his cunning and charm, there's nothing to stop him from staying ahead of the game. He could quickly become somebody who could change the world.

In exchange for this tweak you can reduce the amount of time it takes to make the portal since it's impractically slow at this point and most missions will be over by the time she opens her portal to a good size.

2: There's no such thing as the London Foxes. She wouldn't have been brought onto the London Tigers and the other teams in the city, which are owned by the British government, are the London Crown, the East London Irons, and the London Bulldogs. There's also no Syndicate team in Boston. The Syndicate's east coast teams are located in New York, Washington, and Atlanta.

His parents were made aware of his condition and attempted to support him as much as possible while defusing most of the problems he'd come into in school. So much so that even saying his name could be considered a threat by many in his city.
However, he managed to keep it in check without much issue. With some bouts of government interference during his late teen years, he was made to join the french Armée de Terre and followed afterwards by trying to join the special forces early on by making a case of his power. He ended up joining a year before it would've been authorized officially.

Following that, he joined the GIGN and operated everywhere in france and sometimes abroad. A particular change occurred when he was made to follow a joint team exercise with the Irish Army Ranger Wing, exercise during which he was blitzed with an attack from the fae. Most of the operation was swept under the rug, but shortly afterwards, he was honorably discharged from the french army. Following that, a few years of wandering throughout the world followed, where he attempted to learn as much as he could about his power, to little avail. Though he managed to make use of his connections to apply for an Irish citizenship and the authorization to build a house in the Czech countryside.
Recently with growing tensions, he headed to London, hoping to maybe find some connections or do some rogue peacekeeping.

I removed the ice and fog, the pulling things into her portals, sped up her creation time, and increased the size of her initial portal size, if battles will be that fast. Dealt with the team names and moved her to New York instead.

Primary Ability:
Push - She can create portals to somewhere with a vast well of water, able to create vast torrents of highly pressurised water. It has not been able to determined if this is some magical plane filled with water, an ability to create underwater portals, or some combination of these. She can create a portal up to thirty metres across, with roughly two metres in diameter as she begins, it slowly expanding from there over the course of thirty seconds to three minutes, depending on if she is feeling more powerful at the time. Her portals can grow larger, but have increasingly diminishing returns, to the point that it only gets to 50 metres after another thirty minutes. After a full day (24 hours), focusing solely on a single portal, she managed to get it to 500 metres across. She can split this size across multiple portals.

Other Abilities:
Pull - After she has flooded an area with water, she can reverse the direction of flow in her portals to suck the water back through the portal. While no outside objects can enter her portals (save for herself), they can be pulled along with the water towards her portal entrance as it sucks. She can pull herself into her portals during the sucking cycle and reverse the flow to fling herself out, softening her landing using the water her portals generate. While useful for getting around, this will usually force her too far away from her portals, causing them to disappear.

Water Powers - Before she summons a portal she can have some measure on influence on what temperature the water flowing out it, able to create clouds of steam if she contrasts the temperatures around her with that of her water, creating somewhat of a smokescreen to limit visibility. On an instinctual lever, water does not harm her, simply rolling off of her without soaking into her, becoming soft to her, meaning she can land in water from any height and be fine, not allowing her to drown, and normalising in temperature when it comes close to her. She can turn this off, but it is theorised to be her power protecting her, to make sure her own portals cannot blast her by accident.

Power Drawbacks:
- She cannot travel far from her portals, though this distance is not set, as she has her good days and bad in equal measure. It ranges between 10 metres and 200, though the larger the portal (or the more portals she has open), the closer she must stay to it, to the point that is she is at her maximum portal size she must remain within steps of her portal.
- Her portals do take time to grow and are stationary, and to be truly effective she needs a team to hamper the movements of her enemies, or else they can simply stay out of the line of fire by moving quickly. Of course, even a small portal can be powerful, not necessarily making her useless without a team.
- Her portals take time to grow, and thus every time she has to banish and re-summon a portal, the size of it shrinks half a metre in diameter for every second the portal is not in existence.
- Her water manipulation only applies to water her portals create, and she cannot shape it much (perhaps cause a few ripples, or make it still), and cannot make it what it is not.
- To reverse the flow of her portals takes anywhere from one second to ten seconds (or longer if she has exceeded twenty metres), depending on the size of the portal. The larger it is, the more powerful the effect, but the more time it requires to shift gears.
- All of her portals start as gushing geysers and have to switch to sucking vortexes.
- The more portals she has, the harder it is to individually change them, though if they are smaller it is much easier to manage. Two ten metre in diameter portals would have to either suck or blow, while forty half metre in diameter portals could have a roughly even split between them.
- She does not have any sort of enhanced body, though her ability allows her to weather high pressure water with no issue. She is just as vulnerable as anyone else, and just as strong. Perhaps a bit more than the average person, due to extensive training as a hero, but still nowhere near meta human levels.

Biggest Flaw: Her driving motivation is appearing powerful and being respected by those around her, while the threat of physical harm or embarrassment holds her back from putting herself in situations where she could be harmed, limiting what she can do on the field. However, making her look bad can make her become irrationally vengeful, seeking to assert her power against the person who slighted her. While she is relatively good at using her staff after years of practise, she has never quite been able to master using a gun, capable at shorter ranges but with no great skill like one might need in a battle.
Main Skills: She is something of a genius, though not as much as meta humans with powers that make them geniuses. She can read and process relatively large amounts of information quickly and picks up knowledge of how to do things quickly, though she leans towards more artistic pursuits, combining them with skilled small scale engineering to create beautiful weapons, like her taser staff and her knife. She also has a knack for architectural design. Her voice is beautiful as well, high and clear like fragile glass, but capable of keeping up with even the most powerful Broadway scores.

Personality: She is a very calm person, having gotten to where she is by being skilled in using her power and being able to use any situation to her advantage. She is usually very pleasant and agreeable, as long as she feels she is getting her way and has some measure of control over a situation. However, she does have a penchant for spectacle and a sense of pride that can get away from her, making any slight have to be dealt with severely. She has no problem with verbal barbs or physical aggression, but making her feel stupid or hurting her will make her either extremely angry or she will internalise her anger and strike out at a later date with even more hate behind her actions.

Biography:
Victoria was born in Melbourne to two immigrants, her father from Pakistan and her mother from South Africa. Her early life was relatively normal, though she excelled in her educational pursuits and found time to follow her own passions, like musical theatre and architecture. It wasn't until she was fifteen that her powers began to manifest. It happened in the middle of traffic, accidentally blasting several cars off of the road her family was driving down, and due to the public nature of this first outburst the Syndicate quickly found her and recruited her before any criminals could get to her. She joined the Australian HQ Training Facility in Canberra where she learned to use her powers. She graduated after the two year training period at 17, being assigned to the Melbourne Syndicate, Team Koala. For three years she served well, though her powers did not work well with the other members of her team, eventually resulting in her transfer to the New York City Syndicate's Team Panther as a "promotion" to assistant team leader for five years after several key members of their team were killed in a meta human bombing and they needed quick replacements.

The second picture depicts her with her team leader (in the grey mask) along with her fellow assistant team leaders. She was always an asset to her team in Melbourne, but it was in New York she truly shined. Though in a different country, the New York team uniquely complimented her powers, with two powerful meta humans who could utilise water in a variety of ways and several meta humans who could hamper and harry their enemies into position while she steadily grew the size of her portal until the enemy was down. The "theme" of the New York branch of the Syndicate, which her team leader (a man named Arch who had an uncanny ability to construct anything given the right materials, based on glimpses of the future and how they would be used) insisted on, was elegance and class. The entire team was outfitted in luxurious and highly durable costumes created by Arch himself, and upon transfer to Team Fox, Victoria has yet to change her costume, as this new team doesn't seem to bother with a cohesive costume theme. Her transfer was a bit of a surprise, but such a choice was caused by a variety of factors. Victoria is a powerhouse requiring an otherwise highly mobile or extremely tough team to work around, which the group of Foxes were going to be. The Panthers had several powerful players, able to handle her loss in stride unlike many other teams, which played a factor as well. While sad to leave her team behind and a bit disgruntled about her seeming demotion, Victoria cannot deny she is excited about her transfer to what some consider the capital of the meta human world.

Personality: Albert Painter is a textbook sociopath. He cares very little for others, instead keeping up an appearance of caring for his own gain. When he wants to be, he can be kind, affable, friendly even, though his persona as Albert Painter, the father and husband, just trying to make a living includes quite a good deal of insecurities, depression, anxiety, and a somewhat trustworthy nature that very few even think to question.

In reality, he is cold, calculating, ruthless and efficient. He values only two things - information and money, both of which he deals in regularly as 'the Handler'. However, he is known to have a soft spot when it comes to his wife and son, and would not betray them. While he does not give them the full extent of his money as they need it, he allows them (and also, by extension, himself) to spend it only in large enough chunks to make themselves firmly middle class. Some might see the less logical side of Albert's true personality as his paranoia, as he is quite paranoid of most people, and often believes there is someone out to get him. Truthfully, this is sometimes the case, and while he very rarely deals with the syndicate directly, his hands are often a part, maybe even at the other end, of the chain of misinformation directed towards them about Lux's activities.

Biography: Albert Painter's father, like Lucas often thinks about his father, was an absentee father. He could not make the money that Albert's family required, though he worked full time in an office. Albert's mother began to hate her husband over his late nights and inability to bring enough money home. They divorced, and Albert was part-time with each one. His mother remarried a wealthy Lord, a certain Earl Mondegreen, sending Albert's father into a swing of depression, substance abuse and gambling. Albert learnt two different lifestyles from both of his parents - the lifestyle of the man trying to make a living, and the lifestyle of the man who has it all. Albert often tried to sneak money out of the house to help with his father's ever-growing debt, but it was no use. One day, when Albert was returning from school, he found his father hanging from a rope in the dining room, with two notes - one from the Earl, and one as a suicide note from Albert's own father. Mondegreen's note gloated of riches and power, while the father's note reeked of self-pity and depression. From that point on, Albert vowed to drive Mondegreen into the dirt, and Albert's mother with him.

When Albert graduated, he immediately set about his work. He worked in an accounting firm within Mondegreen's own County, sneaking out on a daily basis to find out whatever he could about Mondegreen. During the various goings-on, he discovered that Mondegreen was in league with an organisation known as 'Lux'. He was receiving funds from the various crime lords and cartels in the region. Albert seized his chance - he redirected all of the crime lords and cartels to deliver to him, saying that Mondegreen was out of the country for a while. However, the Earl was not impressed, and sought Albert out to bring revenge for stealing what belonged to Mondegreen. Lux sent out agents to find the boy and kill him. However, Albert played a power game. While researching Lux, he had worked out some of their targets and assets, and simultaneously stole money from all of them. The agents, as well as Pinho himself, were impressed and recruited him then and there, but Albert gave them one condition - that Mondegreen would be reduced to poverty. Indeed, that happened, and Albert's mother left him. Mondegreen committed suicide, and then later ordered Lux enforcers to kill his mother, which they did.

During university, Albert had met art student Jane Esther. After his mother was killed, Albert married Jane in a modest ceremony, before they went on a honeymoon/business trip to Florida. When they returned, Jane discovered she was pregnant. Nine months later, Lucas Painter was born. Albert noticed something was wrong very early, but was not sure exactly what it was. However, when Lucas' powers were discovered, Albert's secret activities had to be even further kept as secrets. It was likely the powers that Lucas possessed that took Albert from being a good purveyor of information to one of the best in the world, as he knew every trick to keeping secrets that there was. Lucas still trusts his father implicitly, and still does not know of his activities.

Regan Hara “Warlord”
The leader of the Affliction, Regan is the ambitious and confident villain known as Warlord. Her skillset has to do with information gathering and they say that if it’s important, Regan already knows about it… Regan sees everything, a valuable ability that has elevated her to the status of one of the most dangerous metahumans in the world.

Gerard Pascal “Broadway”
The right hand man to Warlord, Broadway is a powerful telepath that can launch psychic based attacks over a relatively large area and can communicate telepathically within the same area. Claiming to have a lineage going back to the Gothic kingdoms, Pascal cares greatly about personal prestige and image as well as political power.

Nathan Cannon “Cowboy”
One of the few combat focused members of Scourge has a peculiar knack for upgrading weaponry… A pistol can turn into a shotgun in his hands, a shotgun into a rifle, and a rifle into a rocket launcher. It’s even possible to create something larger like say, a naval cannon. It’s near impossible to outgun Cowboy, who frequently gives fire support to the others.

Angelica Relsey “Shottie”
The brain behind some of the equipment that Affliction uses, Shottie is named for her weapon of choice and manufacturers much of their gear herself with her genius level engineering skill, ranging from regular body armor to personalized weapons to suit each member’s fighting style.

Daciana Vasilescu “Vampire”
The youngest member of the team at 13 years old, Daciana was discovered by Regan personally while spying on the Syndicate and listening in on their scouting meetings. She has a great amount of power, however, and can create earthquakes that can affect city blocks at a time. Affliction grabbed her from Romania before the Syndicate could.

Aslan Iskakov “Globemaster”
You don’t see modern practitioners of Tengrism every day, but that’s what Aslan Iskakov is in addition to the main transporter of the team. Iskakov can open portals which require more time and energy depending on their size, which drop those that fall into them into a somewhat imprecise location. Additionally, further distances require the portal to charge up for more time, usually a number of minutes. This requires the power to be used tactically, rather than freely.

Maelstrom


Rohan Schroner “Kaiser”
The leader of Maelstrom has a very valuable ability, control over a pocket dimension that appears to be a realm made from shadow energy. Portals to this realm can be opened for quick escapes, and it’s possible for Rohan to disappear into this realm and then reappear in a different location, as well as storing things within the realm or discharging energy from the portals.

Giannis Metaxas “Remix”
Giannis is a regenerating shapeshifter who can absorb damage and use it to create newer and stronger changes, which will wear off after a set period of time that is believed to be around a half hour. It’s important to knock him out quickly in a fight, otherwise you could find yourself facing a giant with altered physical traits that work to his benefit in the fight. In combat, Giannis carries the heaviest armor which therefore allows him to absorb more damage and upgrade himself more, and he has the tallest height on the team at 6’8”.

Oni Idowu “Grenadier”
Hailing from Nigeria, Oni Idowu is a ranged weapon of Maelstrom and an important asset in most of their battle plans. She has the ability to fire powerful blasts of plasma in either a straight line or an arcing shot, and also has the ability to split her body into three separate ones. If one of these extra bodies is killed, she won’t be able to use it for a while and will lose the percentage of her strength that it represented. While split up her abilities will also only be at 1/3rd of her original strength, but obviously she can fire at a higher volume this way as well as take on more enemies.

Jadranka Vlasic “Demoness”
The winged member of the team has enhanced mobility, but also magical shielding capabilities. She can create up to two shields at a time around herself or others, with a five minute cooldown between the destruction of one and creating a new one. These shields are invisible but will show up as a bluish glow. They will break after taking damage, but they can soak up some damage despite this and offer an advantage to the person using them. Vlasic also wears light armor, meaning she can take a bit of damage herself. She typically uses long rifles and acts as a flying sniper.

Tobias Martinez “Deadzone”
Tobias has the ability to create a zone one hundred meters around him in any direction. When this zone is active, all powers are nullified as well as any enchanted objects and anything else with magical or superpower related properties. This applies to both sides, both allies and enemies, and Martinez wears heavy power armor to compensate for the lack of a combat related ability and to facilitate getting within close range.

Rhu Lau “Doctor”
The one on the team with the scientific background, Rhu Lau formerly worked for the government of the People’s Republic of China before joining Affliction for a chance at more personal success. Lau takes care of the Maelstrom team’s vehicles, any custom weaponry, and other mechanical and technological things. In combat, Lau is typically not present on the front lines and instead uses drones to act remotely and gather and report on intelligence for the rest of the team.

I changed it so he was working with the police instead of a hero team, and I think you misunderstood when you read it. The lieutenant wasn't with the Syndicate, he was with the gang.
