+++Physical appearance: Tom is a very, very large, bulky and muscular man, standing at 6'10" and weighing 379 lbs. As of current, he has a rather grizzled appearance, with a permanent scowl, with short hair and a close-kept, but somewhat unkempt beard. His hair is a dark brown with patches of grey in his beard and short streaks of silver in his head hair. Tom often wears rather ragged black clothing, including his [url]coat[/url], [url]hat[/url], and [url]boots[/url]
+++Identifying Marks: While his face is heavily scarred, he has two rather prominent ones, being one over his left eye vertically, and one horizontal one on his right cheek.
+++Role: Dragon. Tom is certainly, most definitely, first and foremost an outlaw and criminal, albeit a patient one, but bloodthirsty nonetheless.

+++Ethnicity: White, of German and Norwegian heritage.
+++Religion: Agnostic, but with preference for the Devil over God.
+++Birthplace: Ruthfordton, North Carolina
+++Criminal History: Robbery, Assault, Arson, and suspected of murder, but frankly, no one can prove that.
+++Military History: Served in the Union Army throughout most of the entirety of the Civil War, primarily in Kansas during the start of the War near the Missouri border as part of the first Kansas volunteer infantry regiment, later serving in the Vicksburg Campaign and the March to the Sea under General William T. Sherman as a Jayhawker.
+++Skills: Particularly strong, particularly tough. Has taken a couple .58s, but only to his right shoulder, to which he'd take the bullets out and cauterize himself, meaning, as one could imagine, a decent pain tolerance. Alright with a rifle, better with a handcannon, but more quick with his arm than he is keen with his eye. Decent on a horse, though he'd need a big, strong one. More intelligent than his appearance might let off.

+++Psychological analysis: He is cold. He is ruthless. Not particularly a people person. Tom has a nihilistic view on life, and thus, indulges on a somewhat hedonistic life style. While he is willing to work with others, he generally sees them as bodies for the count. He is set in his ways, and stubborn to admit any good in people, always analysing people to see exactly what makes them tick. He is, ultimately, indiscriminate when it comes to seople's race, religion, or gender. While he often claims to be indifferent towards such matters, he is not particularly fond of discrimination, and sometimes acts on this, one of his few redeeming qualities, in a way.
+++Weaknesses: While often patient, Tom still has a hot temper that can be set off easily, and can be fairly predictable. He can be slow to turn on his feet (though he's a decent runner in a straight line), and his large body presents an easy target, ultimately making him the first to be picked out. Additionally, his size makes him hard to blend into a crowd, and he may stick out like a sore thumb, easy to identify. He also requires more food than the average person, which, combined with his clothing needs, can be quite spendy. He is also prone to drinking, and can be quite vocal and honest to a fault.

+++Biography:
Born on the wooded outskirts on a small farm and cabin to Elizabeth McDoverin and Everett Gallows, Thomas was born in the winter of 1837 during the very start of the financial crisis known as the Panic of 1837. This very happening was what caused Elizabeth, Everett, and a very young Thomas to move West, specifically into what would be Kansas, not far south west of Fort Leavenworth, four years later in Spring of 1841. It was here where Thomas was taught by his father to hunt, in which he was made into a decent marksman with the use of his father's musket-rifle in the coming years in his youth, outside of the small cabin built by a friend of his father's some time during the founding of Fort Leavenworth.
At the age of seventeen, in 1853, Thomas' mother had fallen sick, coughing up blood and becoming bed-ridden. Tuberculosis had struck her, and in an accident because of her condition where she tried to continue helping her family thrive, she had broken her ankle. That winter, she passed from the tuberculosis, leaving Thomas and his father alone. After this event, Everett Gallows had fallen into a dark place, and descended into alcoholism. Half a year later, Everett had left his son and went into the woods, never to be seen again.
One month later, Thomas had decided to voyage into the recently established city of Leavenworth to find a new life for himself. Working odd jobs in manual labor, he carved out a bit of a life for himself working with the local Army troops. The setting of Leavenworth proved to be a hotbed, highly political in nature, due to agitation between pro and anti-slavery ideologies. On April 3, 1858, the "Leavenworth Constitution" for the state of Kansas was adopted here. Although the federal government never approved this early version of the state constitution, it was considered one of the most radical of the four constitutions drafted for the new territory because it recognized freed blacks as citizens. Thomas himself decided on the idea that everyone was equal in the eyes of death, and therefore should be equal in life as well, thus making up his mind on the matter.
He became somewhat vocal on his opinion, and as one could imagine, this led to a few physical confrontations. However, he often proved an intimidating man, largely due to his great size, something often noticed and talked upon by a decent amount of others. Because of his intimidating stature, he was invited to some amount of underground fights, in which he proved himself a decent fighter, and only got better, as fast a learner as he is.
Soon enough came 1861, and with it, the preludes to the beginning of the American Civil War. Kansas entered the Union as the 34th state on January 29, 1861. Less than three months later, on April 12, Fort Sumter was attacked by Confederate troops and the Civil War began. Most Kansans strongly favored the cause of the Union, Thomas invluded. Governor Charles Robinson began recruiting troops for the Union armies, and Senator Lane returned from Washington to do the same. Thomas was one of the men that joined, and on August 10th, fought in the first Kansas volunteer infantry regiment in the Battle of Wilson's Creek, near Springfield, Missouri, on August 10, 1861. Both the First and Second Kansas Volunteer Infantry regiments were engaged, but the First saw the most action and suffered heavy losses.
Thomas was later transfered to under the command of General William T. Sherman, first serving in the Vicksburg campaign, as well as in the March to the Sea, employing guerilla and intimidation tactics, often ambushing enemies. It was here that Thomas first decided to intimidate enemies by hanging Confederate soldiers, sometimes mutilating the bodies to send messages to other Confederate soldiers. Sometimes he would capture Confederate forces and threaten the rest of their companies with their execution should they not surrender. During the March to the Sea, following the "Scorched Earth" policy with glee, sometimes setting enemy units on fire as well. In reward to his duties, Sherman commissioned Colt to create a personal, suitable replacement for Gallow's personal sidearm, an 1847 Colt Walker. What was created was a one-of-a-kind upgraded version of the Walker, made to fire cartridges meant for Buffalo rifles, which resulted in a very large, very heavy revolver, something suitable to Gallow's strength.
At the end of the Civil War, Thomas set out west, unsure of what to do. Eventually he found himself caught up in a robbery by a small gang under the leadership of Gavin Hendricks. After Gallows proceeded to beat two of Gavin's men to death, Gavin decided to ask Thomas to join him. After extended consideration, Thomas accepted. This lead him to a life as an outlaw, in which Gavin mentored him in the mannerisms of crime. Train robbing, carriage muggings, bank robbery, extortion and the like. But they looked out for Thomas, strangely. Helped him in his times of need. They grew to become like family. But it all unraveled. In 1875, Gavin Hendricks was shot by a lawman, and after that, everything fell apart. Most of the other gangmembers left, and the rest fell to lawmen in their own ways. Eventually, Thomas was left alone. In the coming years, each of the lawmen and deserters responsible for the destruction of his "family" went missing, some found hung in the wilderness.
And so it was that Thomas roamed westward...

I`d be up for restarting this, but only if we are all committed to sticking it out for the longterm. If we are going to have lots of initial enthuasiam and then this fades out in a week or two, then we should not bother.

+++Skills: Great shot- from his time as an outlaw, Willie learned from the best of how to shoot, and is an amazing gunslinger. However, since he converted to christianity, he has never shot a gun.
Easy learner-Willie can pick up on skills easily, and has been able to use this to his advantage as a rider on the ranch.
Great Charisma- Willie is a friendly personality to most people around the ranch, and can tolerate most people, except for assholes.

Willie can often be seen with a smile on his face, and is nice to almost everyone on the ranch, except for anyone that wishes death upon him. +++Biography: Born on an unknown date around 1835 on a plantation in Arkansas, Willie was born a slave and was forced to work at a young age. At the age of 4, he began to work in the fields of the plantation. Willie never knew his father, as he was sold off to a different plantation owner at a young age, but his mother, Eleanor, was always close to him and often sacrificed a lot for her son in order to help him survive. Willie promised to his mother that one day, they would get off of the plantation

Willie, at the age of 16, first attempted to escape with his mother. This attempt failed after a fellow slave tatted them out, causing them to be caught later that night. Once they were caught, Willie and his mother were severely beaten by his owner, causing a giant scar on his back. A couple of months later, Willie tried a second time to escape, this one more secretive between him and his mother. This one was successful and after a long time on the underground railroad, Willie and Eleanor finally made it to Canada.

While he was in Canada, Willie worked several of jobs. From transporting items on a wagon, to a stable hand, to a bartender, to even the owner of a failed general store. Willie, around 1865, decided to take a hand at the American West and moved him and his mother there. He eventually settled down around an area in the New Mexico Territory. Willie eventually became a ranch hand for a couple of years in order to support his mother, but in 1869, he quit after a feud with the ranch owner. After this fight, Willie resorted to a life of crime, eventually joining a criminal gang down in New Mexico.

He kept his criminal life secret from his mother, and tried to keep his identity a secret, going as “Black Jackson.” He became a well known outlaw in the area around the time, robbing stagecoaches, banks, and sometimes trains. Willie also became a villain of other outlaws and lawmen, who he often dueled, and became known for his quick draw. However, in 1872, his life changed as in he month of June, Willie went home to find his mother severely beaten and killed, most likely by rival gang members.

After his mother’s death, Willie began to become depressed, and began drinking quite a bit to help his depression, but it eventually turned him into a drunk. However, in 1873, Willie began to work under the belt of local Reverend Lawrence Brooke, who convinced Willie to become a christian. He also began to teach himself to read, picking up The Bible and Uncle Tom’s Cabin, as well as learning to play the banjo. Willie then picked up a job as a general store manager, and payed his dues with local law enforcement after turning over numerous leads to them on other outlaws.

While Willie wanted to start a new life, however, people still knew him all around as “Black Jackson”, making it harder for him to start fresh. So, Willie sold his General Store, took the money to buy a wagon, and made his way down to Arizona, eventually deciding on a life as a rider for Black Dove Ranch in 1880. It’s now Willie’s chance to start his new life, and he can’t wait for it
