Biography: Born to a small farm in North Georgia to Veteran of the Army and Clerk James’s life could be described as uneventful. This all changed once he graduated High School, after marrying the love of his life Brenda he enlisted in the US Army and was deployed to Vietnam in 1966. Being deployed the southern portion of the country James served as a rifleman in the 76th Mechanized Brigade and his unit did standard S&D Operations. This all changed though in the Tet Offensive when the brigade was caught in the thick of it with his unit even being completely surrounded for a majority of the battle suffering heavy losses. Near the end of the battle the brigade was able to break out. Due to the heavy losses he was sent back to the US though he is still enlisted.

We're just working through the usual slowness of right after the holiday season. I need to get up a few posts regarding the courts and some other background stuff going on while you all get around to posting the megapost you're trying to go with (I'd honestly prefer just a bunch of smaller interactions through the IC for activity reasons, but that's just me).

Yeah. Actually about to pick up work on my post rn. Totally not unmotivated after having a bit of a writing style crisis due reading a bunch of Fitzgerald and Hemingway. As a [notorious?] mega-poster smaller IC transactions are better for activity of course [and really the ideal type of post for situations like this...], but I'm a man who sticks to my guns. Still, look forward to some landscapes, terrible inside jokes and references, some more flashbacks, lot's of internal monologue, and of course your orders.

EDIT: Due to the fact that Second Section is basically all NPCs rn and if I were to split watches with them, each squad would only be on watch for ~1 hour, I think it'd be best to just have First Section cover the Eastern Gap. I'm posting with that in mind, but it's an easy retcon if it needs to be changed. Also, post going live in a few

Yeah, probably for the best. You guys also have orders now. Your both part of Second Squad's FTB so you'll be setting up loose and shallow defenses around our APCs, and PFC Cooper will be checking out the wire ahead of the foxholes [This is before 2130]. Though, you two won't be out in the fox holes until the last shift of the night [and the shortest iirc], so you'll be sleeping until then. I'm not sure how Kass wants these night-shifts to work, but I'm sure you'll find out soon enough. So that's some stuff to post about in the meantime, everyone's in a state of limbo between the time we arrived and 2130 hours [until Kass moves us forwards], so don't worry about the time frame and feel like you need to sleep just cause I listed it out in my post.

Well, we’re already in a foxhole now, so I guess we’re starting off at the end of all that with our guard shift. And the wire is now doubly secure since Cooper will have checked it earlier and now Paine’s done it again on guard duty.

Hey, should we take a double check of who's here? I have a feeling activity has dropped a bit and we might need to restructure the platoon using the upcoming firefight to cause some people who've left as casualties so that other active guys can be promoted to their positions, at least then we can more properly RP the workings of a platoon from its various leadership positions.
