It would have been out of character to simply obey the order to spare her without question. Hornissennest is out for blood, partly because she couldn't get to the convoy in time, so she's not going to just spare Wo without question, but she's not the type to completely disobey orders, either, so she's giving Glory a chance to change her mind. Wo kinda stirred up a hornet's nest when she decided to show up at the base immediately after taking out a convoy, even if it was her only realistic chance of surviving after deserting immediately. It would have been smarter to go "MIA" after being rearmed, refueled, and being sent after another convoy, lay low for a while, *then* surrender after giving the Kanmusu time to calm down a bit.

An excellent point. In Wo's defence she was frightened of Ta. Her reinforcements would have been loyalists who would have been hard to get rid of

Occasionally. And letters even went back (occasionally as well). They are sisters, after all - they couldn't be more different, more foils to each other, but they are sisters.
But that letter exchange will get a bit more complicated now that Carman Fea isn't stationed in Wembury anymore...

Novaya, bit of advice:

You're writing your characters in a way that would get them lined up against a wall in most militaries. "General Quarters: all hands report to battle stations" does not mean "finish what you're doing, then sortie". It means "get your asses to battle stations YESTERDAY.".
