Combat Skills
- [Masterful Horse Riding]: During his time as a D’shar Windrider, Ahmed el-Hammad learned to ride a horse. By staying in the factional order for a long period - he managed to gain constant lessons, which allowed Ahmed el-Hammad to gain needed experience to achieve his past D’shar title of “Ukthunduss,” horse master.
- [Skilful Archery (and house archery]: Ahmed el-Hammad is a individual of good efficiency in both archery and house archery, although he’s no master or expert.
- [Masterful Usage of One-Handed Weapons and Shields]: Being in the constant front-lines of war has shaped Ahmed el-Hammad into a masterful user of his choiced war tools - a shield and one-hand weapon.
Mundane Life Skills- [Novice Cook]: Although Ahmed el-Hammad needs no food or water to live because he’s already dead - he cooks for the purpose of prayer to Vata.
- [Actually Educated]: Ahmed el-Hammad is indeed educated, being able to do math, write, read, and all that jazz.
- [Eyes of the Night]: Ahmed el-Hammad is able to see in the night due to his resurrection of Jatu Sand-Priests.
- Curse of the Dead - The risen undead is not a common sight among the world. Common folk tell tales of the undead devouring the flesh of the living to sustain their life. Foreign churches of many, tell of the day that the dead will raise up to destroy all that is holy. It is not a easy life when you’re not alive, but a being of rotten flesh and bone. For Ahmed el-Hammad, he is alone and is often threaten by many races of beast and man alike.
- [Jatu Immortal Scale Armor Set] - Once dead, now risen, Jatu Immortals are given a set of D’shar royal scale armor - taken from the dead corpses of D’shar lords. Although Ahmed el-Hammad’s own set of scale armor has been battle-worn, it is still very functional, and capable of providing great protection against the likes of various weapons.
- [Mask (and coif) of Vata] - Unable to show his face, Ahmed el-Hammad hides his identity under a steel mask with a mail coif.
- [Mamluke Shield] - Jatu Immortals are handed a mastercrafted shield to display the prestige of being a resurrected holy warrior of the Jatu. Besides from the beauty shown on the surface of its shield-face with its alligate design - the shield can withstand heavy blows from the weapons of war, thanks to its quality.
- [Hornbow] - The hornbow that Ahmed el-Hammad received when he was apart of the D’shar Windriders is a carefully crafted short composite bow that allows for fast firing of powerful arrow shots.
- [Metal Arrow Quiver (filled with 30 Ghazi arrows)] Ahmed el-Hammad carries a metal arrow quiver that holds 30 Ghazi arrows - projectiles made sharp and sturdy enough to pierce plate when combined with the hornbow.
- [One-Handed Iron Mace] - A simple iron mace, the blunt tool of war that crushes bone and armor.
- [One-Handed Steel Scimitar] - A long steel Scimitar for slashing and cutting, nothing more or less.
- [Horse of the Dead] - A loyal horse who follows Ahmed el-Hammad into the dead.

Bio:
As a younger daughter within the nobility of the Western Heartlands, Yvonne was born into a life of relative ease and luxury. Her needs were catered to by the servants of her family’s household and the responsibility of governance and rule lay safely on the shoulders of her parents and elder brothers. She was expected to live a quiet and easy life, being paraded at balls and galas before eventually being married off to a promising young nobleman. However, Yvonne quickly began to display a fiery independence that caused her parent’s no shortage of headaches. The intrigue and politicking between the families of the aristocracy all flew far above the young girl’s head and she instead occupied herself with the here-and-now. Rather than quickly take to her classes in prose and etiquette, Yvonne would elope from her family’s manor to seek out excitement and adventure. She would get herself covered in muck and grime, her beautiful gowns and dresses ending up torn and stained from her escapades. Growing increasingly concerned for their daughter’s future, Yvonne’s parents found it impossible to reign her in.
As is expected from the nobility, Yvonne’s family maintained a close relationship with the Church of the Divine. The secular and religious authorities engaged in an intricate dance, and with the Theocracies of Shar wielding particular influence in her homeland, Yvonne’s family often went to curry their favour. Yvonne had always been a diligent member of her congregation, dutifully attending the local Priest’s sermons and participating in the myriad of religious festivals that dotted the calendar. She had always found the teachings of the Church to be intriguing, and her curiosity would often shine through during her classes with the Priestess. However, the girl’s eyes were filled with a longing for thrill and excitement - both of which seemed to lie far from the shrines and icons of her local temple. Nevertheless, pressured by the girl’s parents to try and talk the wildness out of her, the Priestess kept an eye on the boisterous child
During one of her trips into the woodlands surrounding her home, Yvonne pushed herself farther and farther into the wilderness, determined to see how far she could go. Day steadily changed to dusk, but she was no stranger to spending a night or two away from her family’s estate. But out and alone, far from where anybody knew where to find her, the young girl never once considered the danger that she was placing herself in. A group of bandits, having heard that one of the Duke’s daughters would wander the area by herself, had set themselves up to ambush and capture her for ransom. They saw it as a quick and easy payday, a flawless opportunity to squeeze the fat nobility of some of their gold. But while they would have had no trouble with the girl on her own, they were taken by surprise as the weathered Priestess emerged from the bushes with her staff raised to fight.
At first laughing off the older woman’s threats, the bandits quickly learned that they had underestimated her abilities. With nothing but her walking stick against their iron swords, the Priestess dispatched all three of the would-be kidnappers who vanished into the bushes. Left stunned by the display, Yvonne was speechless as the Priestess made sure that she was unharmed. Explaining that she had been keeping an eye on her during her outings, the Priest had chosen to intervene as soon as the bandits had revealed themselves. Glancing around, she decided that they would not be able to make it back by nightfall, offering instead to set up camp together before journeying back to Yvonne’s family’s estate in the morning. It was around the fire that the Priestess found herself bombarded by questions faster than she could answer, eventually caving to the young girl’s curiosity and revealing that she had once been a Paladin before deciding to settle down in the rural temple. She explained what it meant to take the Oath of a Paladin to Yvonne, the girl enraptured by the tales of heroism and courage until the early morning hours forced the pair of them to bed. But even then, Yvonne found herself dreaming of a life in shining armour.
Returning home to find her parents worried sick, alternating between embracing her and scolding her for running off on her own for the upteemth time, Yvonne dropped the bombshell almost at once. She wished to become a Paladin when she came of age and to take the Oaths like the Priestess had done before her. All of the gathered adults were stunned by the confidence behind her words, and nothing that they said could sway her conviction. Promising to consider it, the idea quickly took root within the minds of Yvonne’s parents. They had long feared their daughter’s chances at finding a suitor given her personality, but having one of their children dedicate themselves to a Holy Order would greatly boost the family’s standing with the Church. Eventually, they conceded to their daughter’s pleas, and agreed to allow her to train under the Priestess.
Yvonne quickly proved herself to be a committed and capable fighter, taking to the Priestess’ teachings with a zeal and ability that came naturally to her. For the first time in the girl’s life, she felt a passionate conviction for what she was doing and threw herself into her studies. Even if she was no longer surrounded by the luxuries of the estate, Yvonne relished every second of her new life. Seeking to satiate her student’s eagerness, the Priestess drilled the morals and the codes of a Paladin’s oaths into Yvonne, imparting onto her the importance of the commitment and the duties which they upheld. By the time she turned 16, Yvonne was officially old enough to take the oaths for herself. With a twinkle in her eye and a fervor in her heart, the young woman said goodbye to her family and home before embarking on a pilgrimage to the Theocracies of Shar with a letter from her mentor.
Arriving in the vibrant city for the first time, Yvonne was enraptured by the scale of it all: from the towering structures to the masses of people. Getting lost on multiple occasions within the winding streets, she would eventually find her way to the main Temple where she respectfully offered her mentor’s letter and requested to be ordained as an official Paladin. With the Priestess’ recommendation, Yvonne’s request was accepted almost at once and she spent the next two years finishing her training before finally taking her oaths. Since then, she has travelled throughout the lands, going wherever her heart takes her in order to help the faithful and spread the teachings of the Divine. At one point she travelled as a pilgrim to the Free City of Faith and worked for a time with the Inquisition - although she did not become an inquisitor herself. Now she finds herself in Velathri, where she hopes to finally see the home of the famed Legion and to learn of their heroic ways.
Heroic Boon: N/A
Abilities:
- [Paladin of the Faith]: As a Paladin, Yvonne has spent years training to be both a Priest and a Warrior. Heavy fighters and the religious equivalent of noble knights, Paladins are expert fighters and Yvonne is especially well-versed in close combat. Her heavy armour provides her plenty of protection and she has learned how to use a variety of weapons of war, although her preferred equipment is usually a heavy axe and a shield.
- [Smite]: Channeling the strength of the Divine, Yvonne can beseech the pantheon for their aid against her foes. Magic courses through her weapons as she does this, with its strength proportional to her faith as she strikes down the enemies of the Church.
- [Divine Protection]: Calling on the favour of the Divine in a series of chants and prayers, Yvonne can use her magic to strengthen her defences and armour during a fight. She can also do this for her allies, although it drains her energy and is a more difficult spell that she has yet to master. To an extent, Yvonne can also heal the wounds of others. However, this takes immense concentration and is especially draining (she cannot do it during a fight). She also cannot heal any of her own wounds in this way.
Limitations:
- [Unwieldy]: With bulky armour and weapons, Yvonne's movements are often restricted. She is slow during a fight and running for an extended period of time is effectively impossible.
- [Bound by Oath]: The Divine watch their chosen closely, and any Paladin who breaks their oaths of courage, honesty and chivalry stand to lose their abilities and suffer punishment should they fail to repent.
- [Faithful Loyalty]: Yvonne is a devout of the Church, but has largely been shielded to some of its more questionable activities. Some may say that Paladins are naive optimists, and Yvonne is no different. They live in a world of rights and wrongs, and it may be difficult for Yvonne to accept that a certain grey region of morality may sometimes exist.
Equipment:
- [Two-headed Battleaxe] Gifted to her by her mentor, it has been blessed by the Clerics of the Divine.
- [Plate Armour and shield] Purchased by Yvonne's parents upon her departure, it is adorned with the symbols of the Church and offers ample protection. This particular set of armour was expertly crafted and fitted for Yvonne and is one of her few connections back to her family.
- [Priest's kit]
- [Noble steed] (ok, not too sure about this one - thoughts?)
Optional
Likes: Adventure, courage, the Church of the Divine, charity, compassion
Dislikes: Heretics, selfishness, oppression, cruelty
Greatest Fear: Failing to uphold her oaths

Yvonne's not a member of the Inquisition technically. Made her to be a Paladin specifically for the Church of the Divine (which I need to app at some point) although I mentioned that she's worked for the Inquisition in the past. I'm thinking that whereas the Inquisition is about fighting to fighting heresy and combating the dark arts, the Paladins are more focused on defending the faithful and spreading the word of the Divine through good deeds, etc. Am interested in working on some shared lore, etc though!
Popular to contrary belief, the Inquisition is not made of a uniform governing church but instead made up of a loose confederation between Witch Hunters, Paladins, Zealots, and Clerics of nearly religion imaginable. What kept this organization from fall apart from religious differences is the common threat the dark cults, demon worshipers, and every other ghastly creature that threatens the Old World that unites these bickering priests and holy men from declaring holy war against each other. Besides from purging the cities and the surrounding area of black magic and sorcery, the Inquisition also dabbles in non-heretical crimes such as robber, corruption, and murder due to the nature of urban centers.

Well pretty much what Zark said. If he's not in the legion he wouldn't have a boon as he wasn't exposed to the Singing Stone. So if you could change that it should be fine if you're not intending for them to be a member.Zarkenis Ultima wrote:Updated the archive with all apps accepted up to this point.

That's just one thing Roxana can boast about in their friendly rivalry

Well the heirloom team already left the HQ. So the remaining ones are the Goblin Extermination one and the Caravan Escort which both still haven't moved out but as the Goblin is almost leaving as per Finn's last post.Zarkenis Ultima wrote:The only thing, you mean

Oh, huh - so is the Inquisition a body that exists above the hierarchies of the individual religious institutions? I thought it was a semi-parallel organisation to the individual member groups. Was picturing it as effectively a common institution that they all signed up for and contributed to, but which didn't actually unify them all under a single command structure. Is it more universal than that?
