You do realize you can only use your weapon defensively, if you use it offensively, you lose your protection under the Geneva convention.

(Not that terrorists really care about the Geneva convention though)

Although you'd probably have just a pistol so that you could carry enough medical supplies.

Uhm... ya do know the role that SF/CTU direct action medics fill, right? Combat medics nowadays no longer wear their Geneva Convention stuff and're aware it's forfeit due to that and using their weapons. Field medics, particularly in the context of Team RAINBOW, would be functionally same to any other operator - just specialized in medical treatment. Just like how a guy can be an EOD specialist but doesn't need to wear that bulky bomb armour or use a special drone. We ain't got time for that nonsense when global terrorist threats can strike anywhere at any time with extreme force! A combat medic is in a place where combat exists and does combat things and medic things.

You have been given multiple tries to actually make the app not look like a cobbled together pile of junk and you have failed to do so. Don't bother making it again, I will not accept it or any other app you lay forward.

Absolutely fucking savage ㅎㅎ

Full Name: Rainer "Rain" Kapp
Designated Callsign: Rain - Strangely enough, Rain has nothing to do with Sergeant Kapp's First name, but is rather due to the fact that it is very common for it to rain when Knapp arrives at a new deployment, and often on patrol. Originally he was know as "Boot" in the 37th, but as his rank increased and more operations were done with international partners, misunderstandings began to arise...
Date of Birth: 22/10/78 [40 years young]
Sex: Male
Height: 182cm
Weight: 84kg
Nationality: German
Birthplace: Hamburg, Germany
Education: High School
Past Occupations:
  • Paperboy [Age: 6-8]
  • Grocer [Age: 8-12]
  • Dock Worker [Age: 12(unofficially)-16]
Criminal Background:
  • One Account of Theft [Pick-pocketing|Age: 7|Not Guilty|Lack of Evidence]
  • One Account of Causing Physical Harm [Fist Fight|Age: 17|Not Guilty|Found to be self-defense]

  • Electrical Burns [Age: 26]
  • Minor Shrapnel Wounds [Age: 30]
  • Minor Concussion [Age: 30]
Psychological Evaluation:
Rainer Kapp or better known as 'Rain' is an oddball of a case. Relatively reserved and assumed to posses some form of Schizotypal Personality Disorder, Kapp outwardly appears to be a quiet and somewhat aloof person, often oblivious to the happenings around him in normal situations, including to but not limited to having been observed daydreaming or staring off into "space" rather than engaging in conversations. When he is approached for conversation Mr. Kapp has a preference for keeping it quick and likely has a dislike for small talk in one form or another, and known for his very straight to the point and blunt manner. However, it has been noted that when engaged in certain topics he has a tendency to open up and give deep insight, leading to him being credited as a resourceful individual full of advice for those around them. It has lead to thinking he possesses quite an observant and reflective side, if rarely shown to others. Other notes seem to indicate that Mr. Kapp has a high Distress Tolerance and strong will, having performed duty after being severely injured as if little had happened.

Reports from combat paint a calm and cool professional, straight to the point, if appearing a bit on the cold side. Comments from previous commanders and comrades in the field show Kapp to be a stoic soldier, acting as a calming figure in the heat of battle, never appearing worried by even the worst of situations and rarely cursing or muttering under his breath. He has shown aptitude as a Squad Commander, and is one of the few times he speaks in great volumes, though international partners have reported a thick accent "that could repel bullets" to quote a United States Corporal, Markus Brandwell, that made it difficult to understand him at certain points. He has been known to comment that he has enjoyed his time as a soldier, but has declined to comment further on what that means.

Further notes seem to reveal that he at one point seemingly possessed an aggressive and violent trend of behavior, though this topped off at an unknown point prior to his enlistment and for unknown reasons, and has yet to be reported as an issue in his last twenty odd years of service, instead most [rare] reports of anger arising in a form of tranquil fury and lasting for only short amounts of time, leaving the subject with no recollection of events perspiring before or during. It is also known that Mr. Kapp possesses some form Naviphobia, due to the multiple reports of disorderly conduct in relation to swimming across rivers and bays rather than taking a ferry and only possessing a handful of accounts of taking a boat of any sort. It is believed this is due to childhood trauma.

The ISOTD is a device actually developed by a former United States Army Engineer, but is planned to be distributed to multiple NATO members. The device was a joint design between Lieutenant Walsh and then Unteoffizier [OR-5] Kapp during a joint stay at a hospital in Italy. After being discharged, former Lieutenant Walsh returned to work for a joint German-US defense firm and three years later build a series of five drones, one of which found it's way into the hand of now Feldwebel Kapp.

The Drone itself was built with a similar design philosophy to the A-10 warthog, however, instead of being built around a cannon, it was built around a radar system. The internal radar system of the ISOTD or Individual Soldier Operable Tracking Drone, is based off common counter battery radars, particularly the mobile Russian system known as the Aistyonok. A scaled down counter radar was built into the small drone with can be carried upon a soldiers back and is about half a meter by half a meter in a quad rotor formation. The drone can provide a coverage area of 10sqr Kilometers, within which it can detect incoming rockets, mortars, and heavier arms fire, as well as smaller arms if the conditions are right. Information gathered from the device can be transferred to both weapon attachments, that will provide a real time bearing of the firing locations or to small smart phone like devices that can provide accurate real time coordinates of the firing position given the ability to do so, allowing for enhanced call outs2. However, the Drone can be limited by situations that are too heavy on close combat, or a large volume of fire as it lacks the ability to distinguish friendly fire from enemy fire and has a flight time of approx. four hours before requiring a recharge of the system.

Full Name: Zohal Ahmadi
Designated Callsign: Shahin
Date of Birth: April 13th, 1990
Sex: F
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 125 pounds
Nationality: Afghan
Birthplace: Kabul, Afghanistan
Education: BA computer science
Past Occupations:
  • Student
Criminal Background:
  • None
Medical History:
  • Broken right foot (2014)
  • Hearing damage caused by shooting without ear protection
Psychological Evaluation: Zohal is a relatively humble person and not one to brag about her skills and accomplishments. She possesses a strong sense of empathy, yet at the same time is quick to dehumanize enemies. Understandable, given the decades of destruction her enemies had brought upon her country. She believes that no civilian casualties are acceptable for the greater good, but accepts that civilian casualties are an unavoidable part of war. She has lost plenty of comrades in the line of duty, but often feels like she could have done something different and they would still be alive. She has recently fallen into a depression, as her father was killed by ISIS a few years ago, but otherwise has no significant mental or personality disorders beyond the expected level of combat stress. She has a willingness to try to help her teammates with personal problems, but may come across as nosy to some as a result.

As one of a select few women brave enough to join the Afghan security forces, let alone a special operations units, she's unlikely to take kindly to those who assume she's less capable than a man. She's used to this type of attitude and will attempt to do her best in any given task if it means proving an assumption wrong.

Prior Service Information
Unit Assignments(s):
  • National Directorate of Security
Role: Electronic warfare, reconnaissance and sharpshooter
Qualifications:
  • ANA Commando training
  • Airborne qualification (US Army airborne school)
  • Basic EOD
  • Sniper training
  • USSOCOM Cultural Support Team training
  • Combat lifesaver training
Notable Incident(s):
  • War in Afghanistan
    - Various anti terror and anti criminal raids throughout Afghanistan, often attached to ANA Special Forces and Afghan National Civil Order Police
    - Battle of Kunduz (2015)
  • Various external black operations of questionable legality, targeting the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and ISIS. Primarily in Pakistan but also other neighbouring countries

Biography
As the daughter of a former KHAD officer, it was almost inevitable that Zohal would become part of Afghanistan's intelligence agency when she came of age. The Taliban taking over the country only a few years after her birth, however, forced her family to flee Afghanistan, staying in Turkey. As her mother was Hazara, staying in a country run by Pahstun ultranationalists operating under the veil of fundamentalist Islam would have been anything but safe. Zohal's father would return to Afghanistan in 2002, following the re-establishment of KHAD under the new name of the National Directorate of Security. However, Zohal, her mother and siblings would stay in Turkey. They too, however, would eventually return to Afghanistan as the security situation improved.

At 18, Zohal decided she wanted to join the NDS. Her father, being a respected officer, tried to pull some strings but insisted she go to university in the mean time which she returned to Turkey for. She received a bachelor's degree in computer science from Istanbul University in this time. Upon graduating, it seemed sufficient strings has been pulled and she was allowed start training as a special operator for the NDS. In 2014, she was ready for active duty, and was initially assigned to providing intelligence and electronic warfare support to ANA special forces, while unofficially taking on a sharpshooter role as well. This missions started innocent enough, but soon enough she was going on black operations in Pakistan, looking to capture or kill Taliban or Al Qaeda leaders. Her electronic warfare abilities were often only put to use by preventing the targets from calling backup, but she was able to prove herself a capable sharpshooter in high stress situations.

In 2015, she participated in the Battle of Kunduz, one of the few major battles of her career. Her mission was to listen in on Taliban communications to get intel on troop numbers and movements, and then disrupt their communications as the main force moved in to the city. Her listening post came under attack by the Taliban and she was forced to hold them off for five hours alongside a force of Afghan and American special forces. She then participated in the main offensive on the city, using whatever actionable intel she had acquired to carry out hunter-killer missions against Taliban commanders in and around the city.

Shortly after the battle, Zohal's father was killed in an ISIS bombing. This affected her deeply, driving her into a depression. She started becoming less and less focused during operations and was assigned administrative leave for 2 months. She found temporary comfort in a secretive relationship with a British journalist in Kabul but it didn't last for particularly long as Zohal was too afraid of being caught. She returned to duty shortly after. She made it a personal mission to track down the ISIS commander responsible for her father's death and personally kill him, but she never would. She did, however, become much more quick to dehumanize the enemy, while simultaneously becoming even more concerned about preventing civilian casualties.

In 2017, she was selected to participate in Rainbow. She was reluctant to accept the assignment, she didn't want to leave her country behind. She did eventually accept, deciding it was the next step up from fighting the Taliban in eliminating evil in the world. She didn't feel particularly confident that being among the elite of the elite was the best place for her, but she was ready to prove herself and do all that she could to help.

Primary Weapon(s):
Secondary Weapon:
  • Smith & Wesson M&P9
Personal Gadget:
  • Enhanced Signal Disruption Device: While it claims to simply disrupt signals and is capable of being used only for that purpose, this device does much more than that. Initially developed to jam remote detonated IEDs, it was eventually improved to be able to detonate IEDs from a safe distance as well. Further improvements have allowed it to interface with wi-fi and cellular networks, allowing it to use these devices for intelligence gathering (for example, taking control of security cameras or a camera on a laptop or cellphone, intercepting cellphone communications, etc). It's final ability is it's ability to force hijacked computerized devices to execute arbitrary code that can not be prevented, causing the device to eventually overheat to the point of internal components melting and potentially catching fire, rendering it useless and potentially causing battery explosions. The most recent version can take over any wi-fi enabled device even if it is not connected to the internet. Resembles a simple radio handset, functions are controlled by an Android smartphone.

  • 1x flashbang grenade

I have some trouble with the unit assignments. There's a female only PLA special force located in Beijing though i can't find the name of it. On top of that i also need a regular female unit of the PLA (since the female only special force is only 5 years old). Seems like China keeps this kind of information all to itself as i've been unable to find any decent information on it.

I also wondered about the weapons. Say i'd take something like a sniper of some sort, would it be alright to take an Assault rifle as well for situations that don't suit snipers? Just wondering before deciding on the role and equipment.

MARSOC would probably your best bet. Marine Raiders apparently do counter terrorist stuff.

Within reason. Seeing as the USN don't upse Sig MPXs or SPAS-12s, SAS uses the R870 instead of the M590, The Spear .308 never entered prototype stage, and Vectors don't come in .308.

At least it's a bit more than i could find, thanks!

welcome, i know north Korea has an all-female unit also, so that could help if your looking for an Asian all female CTU

I know, but North-Korea helping out the UN? I dunno, feels strange... I specially picked China as they're a security council member and nobody made an app for them yet.

North Korea is a UN member state and I believe we've had North Korean characters in previous incarnations of this RP.
Republic of Dayganistan | جمهوری دهقانستان

A secular, Tajik dominated state in Central Asia which has experienced 40 years of democratic backsliding. NS stats are NOT used.

North Korean GMPCs.

No one actually apped as one.

Also a very stern word of caution, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell all now share a timeline, meaning North Korea has been involved in two separate wars in the past 20 years, and Russia has nearly caused WWIII once in 2008 due to a coup. New York, LA and Mexico City were almost glassed in 2008. Washington D.C was also EMP'd in 2011. In 2012 The Blacklist Attacks occured and Mexico had a civil war from 2013-2014.

I understand, but it would just feel weird for me to RP like one. And to be honest, i wouldn't even have a clue on how to RP as somebody from North-Korea.

I've grown tired of searching for viable information on the Chinese army and it's units, let alone all-female units. Information seems very scarce and the information that exists contradicts each other half of the time. I hope you're alright with the way i did the unit assignments now as i wouldn't know what to do else (and i'm not really a fan of making up units and such, but already had to do it in some extend due to the lack of information). As to note, i decided to go against the idea of Hong Kong SDU for mainly two reasons. First one is due to the contradicting information, some sources indeed say there's an all-female unit, other sources say there's not. Second is the fact that Hong Kong apperantly doesn't use Chinese arms due to a limit on imports, making them rely on mainly European & US weaponry.
In any case, i have given up on the search for the existing and decided to go with a random (whether it exists or not) all-female unit stationed in the Southern Theatre (the military region in which my character started her service as well).

Also ftw. China has actual heightrequirements for the military...
