How are you going to roleplay events such as new elections or international trade deals, and how are we meant to roleplay anything if "I say what happens?"
How do you decide who wins what and who fights who in wars?
And do I presume that I only start with the United Kingdom, as opposed to the fully-blown British Empire?

Elections and trade deals that i set are only between 1 or 2 countries that people have not chosen.
No. You always start as the empire at full then, not just part. You would be the full british empire.

And what about completely internal affairs that occur solely within our own nations and have no direct impact on any other country? Do you also godmod those? Are you, in essence, basically roleplaying for us for whatever reason?

Yet we're still prohibited from roleplaying anything other than war and referenda (and even then, we're prohibited from deciding between us who comes out on top in the wars). Not really my kind of player authority, but I'll grudgingly hang on for the ride... ;P
When you return, how often do elections in the USA occur, and how many IRL days/weeks represents a "year" in our roleplay?
