Question: With those other goals, how flexible is the starting level cap/number? Because, on Indigo League FTA, Datenshi wasn't even bothering with gym battles and preferred competing in Contests instead.

I'm gonna say 10 for now. It'll change as we go on so people can catch up easier.

That's another reason why I don't want to use the professor as anything outside of a supporting character, since her Pokémon is a fully evolved Garchomp.

Finley Lawrence

Age:18

Personality:He is a very quiet and reserved person not because he hates people or anything but because he prefers to just think and reflect over his life choices. During battle he is driven and focused. He rarely gets angry but if you hurt someone he cares about his fury is terrifying.
Brief Biography:Finley was born in Kanto in Vermilion City. He had always been fascinated with Pokemon but due to his overprotective mother he never got to go on a Pokemon journey like many other kids. But one day while when he was 16 his family was visiting relative's in Saffron City he wandered into route 7 with his cousin who he had always been close with and was a Pokemon Trainer. While out there they spotted a Growlithe which was injured. The two being decided to help the poor Pokemon and using some potions they had fixed up the Growlithe.

But as they were leaving the Growlithe followed them and began to show affection to Finley. Finley's cousin noticed this and with a laugh pointed it out and said "I think that could be a good starter for you!" Finley excited at the prospect of being a Pokemon trainer agreed wanting to go on a Pokemon journey like so many kids and even his own father had and he named the Growlithe Flanyte. As the two returned to the town where their families were waiting the Growlite came with them.

Finley's mother was not opposed to him keeping Flanyte but was very opposed to him going on a Pokemon journey. But Finely with help from his father who had made it to the Pokemon league as a trainer managed to convince her to let him go on a Pokemon journey but with one condition. Finely could only go when he was 18.

For the next two years Finely with his father traveled Kanto and got some good experienced. So when Finely was 18 he decided to go to the region of Anglion one because he had already seen most of Kanto and two he wanted to get away from his mother not because he hated her but because he wanted some Independence. So Finely has been dropped off at Sunset City ready to begin his Pokemon journey.

Age: 7

Personality: Unlike his trainer Flanyte is very extroverted and friendly to people he meets. He is not stupid and if you try to hurt him or Finley... he will hurt you. In battle Flanyte is very similar to his trainer being focused and determined.
Brief Bio:Flanyte was breeded for Pokemon battle and the breeders wanted him to be mean and aggressive. But because Flanyte showed himself to be nice and calm the breeders kicked him out when Flanyte was 2. around 3 years later Flanyte got caught up in a fight on route 7 and was injured. When one Finely Lawrence and his cousin found him and fixed him up. Flanyte was incredibly thankful to Finley and began to follow him. Flanyte would become Finely´s starter Pokemon and would travel Kanto with Finely and his father for 2 years.

Now he is with Finley at Sunset City in the region of Anglion ready for the journey ahead.

Alexandria Gunther

Personality: Alexandria is known to be friendly and always willing to help others. She was born with an adventurous spirit and has never lost the fire in her heart. Alex uses a good mix of planning and action for battles.
Brief Biography: Alexandria was born and raised in Virbank, Unova. She was known in the town for always looking for the next adventure and has been caught more than once trying to stow away on ships to other regions, just to see what they were like. She looked up to the towns gym leader, Roxie, and would often attend the leaders concerts. Her mother passed away right after her tenth birthday due to former Team Plasma member trying to rob the bank where her mother worked. After this her father grew wary of letting Alex go on her own journey like some of the other children in the city. Alex's relations with her father became strained after this and she would almost give up hope of ever being able to travel the world until she turned fourteen. On her fourteenth birthday Alex was given a Pokemon egg from her father as well as a promise; If he believed that she and her Pokemon were strong enough to travel, he would let them go to the region that he grew up in and allow her to go on her own journey. Two years later Alexandria and Caesar (named after her favorite character from a show she loved) set sail for Anglion!

Personality: Headstrong and prideful, but also extremely loyal. Once he befriends others he is nice and even can be courteous to those he likes.
Brief Bio: Caesar was hatched by Alexandria sometime after his egg was given to her. At first he wouldn't listen to her at all and would go out of his way to make her life harder. One day, however, while Caesar was making Alex chase him through the streets of Unova a car came hurtling towards him. He only saw the car at the last second and didn't have time to get out of the way. In the blink of an eye Alexandria grabbed the small sandile and rolled out of the way, scrapping her arms and legs in the process, but saving them both. After that Caesar stood by his trainer and would do anything she asked, and would not let anyone come between the two.
