History: After the fall of the PRC, five countries agreed to be autonomous republics in one whole nation called the Democratic Union of Pacific States (DUPS). It is sort of how the Yugoslavian state operates, there are autonomous republics, each have a say in the country's politics. The 7 autonomous republics are Borneo, Sumatra, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and East Timor. The country is also affected by the oil crisis because it used to be one of the major sources of energy for some former countries like the Philippines and Indonesia.
The 26 states are Kalimantan, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Java, East Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, West Timor, Cova Lima, Dili, Lautem, Papua, New Guinea Islands, Guadacanal, Momase, New South Wales, South Australia, West Australia, Tasmania, Luzon, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Mindanao, Maluku, North Sulawesi, and South Sulawesi. Their fear of being on their own has lead them to make this Union. They are part of the Atlantic-Pacific Alliance so they can be protected by other strong countries. They are not fully dependent on other countries though, as natural resources can be found all over.
