Actually, thinking about it, it begs the question if Europe would even go West if the Ottomans haven't conquered Constantinople, would there really be a need to explore Westward, or to explore different routes? A lot of interesting ways this could go

Maybe there's a rumour of a new continent, and countries send explorers out to see if the rumours are true - and if they are, grab some more land so they can become stronger on the world stage.

people should simply be patient what's happening is people are thinking that the information is already released so they go on normally even if it hasn't yet.
