This RP is centred around the creation of a new universe, one inhabited by allpowerful beings- "gods." A world of heroes, and monsters, of strange new creatures. When the game begins, the universe is nought but emptiness. Whether we progress to a sci-fi utopia, or a tolkienesque fantasy world, is up to you.
You are a god. Every god has a domain, an aspect which they create, rule, or otherwise influence. This can be something abstract, like greed, power, war, death, or something concrete: water, earth, buildings, slugs. Some gods have secondary, related domains. A gods’ power is virtually without limit. Some may seek worshippers, some to create for the pure joy of it, others to destroy, or just to wander and experience the world. Some may seek to intervene in mortal affairs, to make themselves known, maybe even to rule directly over their domain, appearing in the daily lives of mortals. Others may want to hold themselves aloof. Every god also has an avatar, or avatars. This is the form or forms that they choose when appearing before other beings.

Other Names: He Who Came Before, The Forerunner, The Allfather, Lenu Firstgod.
Appearance: Lenu appears as a pulsing sunburst, bright enough to melt the eyes of mortals should they look upon his avatar.
Domain: Creation
Alignment: True Neutral
Description: Lenu was the first god. His domain is creation, and he was the one who created the mortal plane, the cosmos, and who gives his power to other gods. All other gods, whether directly or indirectly, stem from Lenu. Lenu prefers to remain in his own realm, taking a hands-off approach to his domain, and satisfying himself merely to provide others with the ability for creation. He does, however, wish to keep peace between gods, and invites them to his court to discuss their differences and ensure the smooth running of the mortal plane.

Yet he is quick to anger, and will happily dispense his wrath when need be launching lighting bolts to vaporize those who sin, or insult him and destroying entire civilizations on a whim. He is The Lord of the Heavens after all. Otherwise as stated above he is a jolly and good-humored diety.

Description: Kona was born from the chaos of the endless sky. Young was the world when storms battered its surface when thunder shook the earth when meteorites tore the landscape asunder. Yet this chaos would not last, a child would be born from its bosom, and that child would soon become known has the powerful sky god Kona.At first, Kona was nothing but a mere spark floating at the will of his parent throughout the chaotic expanse of the sky. Soon however throughout the millions of years Kona begun to gain control of himself, he gave himself substance, power, will, and he began to take form when he began to have a recognition of self that is when he gained control over chaos, and that is when he became Lord of the Sky. He would bring order and balance, regular weather patterns would develop and this stabilization allowed life to more easily evolve.

Plane: A sky full of Aurora, and a palace made of pure light dragons all types fly around has this realm is their final resting place

Hmm yeah now that I think about it I think that's how we did it the first time we did this RP. There was a god of magic, but gods could grant power to their followers, which was separate to general magic.

Most of the time he is invisible, Eyewitnesses to his rare appearances state that he is a massive humanoid that shrouds itself with four black, feathered wings, his face is hidden, but when it is revealed, many say a divine beam of light blasts out, destroying entire armies in it's Wake.

Personality: Titan is a solitary, silent god. Those that do encounter him are often in good luck if they are fending off an army, for shortly after he comes to their aid before disappearing again. To invoke his wrath would be to sign one's own death warrant, as he would blast you clean from the face of the planet unless you were a fellow god.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral, he only appears to defenders in their time of need.
Description: Titan is the protector of protectors, wandering the world in ways no one knows to appear before defending armies in their time of need. When he speaks, most hear only a deafening, high pitched whine, though to a certain few, they hear whispering in an arcane tongue. His face is hidden behind a veil, but when it's lifted, divine light blasts out to annihilate whole armies. He is equally unnerving as he is gentle, healing wounds and fixing fortresses before disappearing into thin air once more. Some speculate that he moves using flight, and the occasional massive area of forest being levelled unexpectedly seems to hint that not only does he fly, but he's not entirely perfected the art of it, though dwarfing mountains does tend to be a hindrance when one tries to fly.

Gonna make some significant adjustments to an old god I wrote up for a prior RP. Okay, less "significant adjustments" and more "overhaul".

Name: Val-Ijrei, but she's quite fond of the alias "The One Behind".

Appearance: Val-Ijrei takes the form of a young girl, just under five feet tall and very thin, dressed in a long rust-red robe with twinkling silky lines of black. Her straight black hair trails down past her knees, and she has large, pure-red eyes like glowing gemstones set into her head. When present in mortal worlds or other gods' divine realms, she has a tendency to wear cold-weather gear, even if the actual temperatures are extreme; if she ever feels remotely in "danger" (the conditions for this are not known) she often brings a scarf, a hat, and what are almost comically oversized black boots.

When fully powered, perhaps in the act of folding the universe on a truly massive scale, eight blood-splattered wings of blackened bone tear out of her back, often promptly retracting into higher dimensions and disappearing from normal view; she herself, of course, still knows they're there, not least of all by the tremendous pain this process causes.

Alignment: Chaotic neutral

Personality: When she's not trying to be absolutely serious, Val-Ijrei makes herself look vulnerable and out of the loop about mortal or divine issues; she uses this to gain information and start mulling it over in her own time. In this "normal" state, she has a soft, quiet voice, a self-deprecatory sense of humor, and a somewhat defeatist attitude, but it is clear that she could certainly be more optimistic if she tried. Regardless of what her attitude indicates, though, one can tell quite easily that, if she desires, she can be relentlessly persistent in following her own goals, whatever they happen to be, and will betray other gods, steal secrets, and beg for eons should it become necessary.

When worse comes to worst, though, she snaps. In combat, she becomes a no-nonsense whirlwind of frenetic energy, seeking to end enemies as quickly as possible and forgoing honor, respect, and dignity. When exercising the full extent of her power - be it in battle or when controlling the fabric of the universe's very shape - she is violently reactive to any obstacles and overwhelmed with a singleminded focus on herself.

Divine Realm: As the god of bending distance and shape, Val-Ijrei created a pocket for herself, an elliptical blot sitting in the middle of intergalactic space inside which is what amounts to a shrunken second universe, albeit one that is largely empty and contains only a few crystal-looking structures like pillars. Entering from three-dimensional space is impossible; one needs to be able to traverse four dimensions (perhaps with her help) to get inside, and once inside, one cannot leave without a similar ability. She mostly tends to rest in here and think, while feeding off residual energy from the pillars.

Name: Sere or Fate, though some popular names for her are The End Bringer, The One Who Sits In Judgement, The Silent One, and Old Featherbutt (by some of the braver gods)

Appearance: She can take any form, but the image below was how she was made and one of her favourite ways to appear.

Domain(s): Time, Fate, Life and Death

Personality: Her personality is ever shifting as fate, representing the moving point of balance in the universe.

Description: Sere is the overseer of fate, encompassing life and death along with the concept of time itself. She is the divine balance, a scale by which the state of existence can be measured. She determines the lifespan of all living things (excluding the gods) and rules over the silent land of the dead. The first thing to be born from the mind of Lenu, she was more a tool that was necessary for further creation than an individual entity. As she flew, time began to take hold, the past, present and future were created, and fate formed, the destiny of all creatures bound by the constraints of time. She circled the universe as it expanded to weave time into the fabric of creation, heeding the subconscious thoughts of Lenu as he presided over his creations. The first mortal beings were born, and she felt a connection to them as well, creatures of flesh that would expire. She began to see them all, watch as time ravaged them. And as the first died, she created the Land of Death to house the essence of Lenu that was within them, the footprint they left on creation that would long outlive their bodies. Her duties and powers grew, and with them she noticed her connection to Lenu weakening, and eventually her conscious thoughts began to bloom. For an endless amount of time, looping though millennia and seconds without a thought, she began to form a sense of independent being. For seven cycles existence itself died, was reborn, and died again as she struggled with the concept of being. Then, in an instant, she was back at the beginning again, this time an independent entity, emerging at the same moment Lenu created her the first time. The eldest of the created gods, she has watched as they claimed and inhabited domains, formed life, and helped advance the universe. She has always been there to keep fate on track, to prevent major alterations by beings that are independent of fate, the gods themselves. She rules the dead and the living with only as much force as needed to prevent the balance of the universe from tipping. Eventually, in the farthest distance of the future, Lenu will tire of the universe, and when that happens, she will be the one to unravel it so that he can start anew.

Personality: Calm albeit agitated in peacetime though when war does come he becomes more and more bloodthirsty and his realm reflects it as at first it is filled with fields of grain and a mighty palace at first but when war reaches it's height it will become a hellscape with the palace becoming a fortress and the grain replaced with rivers of blood and fire.

Personality: Faxlous is a very chaotic neutral sort of deity. He represents the good and bad aspects of chaos and destruction. He represents the flexibility and freedom chaos can bring and the change destruction can bring. But he also represents the anarchy chaos brings and the suffering destruction brings. Therefore his actions are impossible to predict even by other gods. He may help a mortal or hero one day but the next he may just kill mortals. He creates chaos and destruction sometimes to help bring necessary and positive change long terms or sometimes just for the hell of it. His mindset and way of thinking is not understood by many to say the least.

Other Names: Stalking Chasm, Faceless God, God of Every and No Form, The One in the Abyss, The Abyss, The Inconceivable, Ruler of the Ultimate Void of Chaos, Messenger of the Gods
Appearance:

His true form is indescribable and incomprehensible to the mortal mind but a demigod artist claimed to have seen Walpurgis and created this work before falling into complete insanity, obsessively painting multiple iterations until starvation overtook him.

Domain(s): Chaos and Messengers
Personality: Most deities prefer the power of remaining in their own domains and occasionally visiting others and the mortal plane. Walpurgis, however, is active and frequently walks the Earth in the guise of a human being, usually a haughty black pharaoh wearing a brightly-colored cloak. He has both every form, most of these reputed to be maddeningly horrific, and no form at all. Most of the other deities have their own cults serving them; Walpurgis will upon request serve these cults and take care of the deities' affairs in their absence. He will enact the will of the deities on mortals, and is their messenger, heart and soul. He is also a servant of Lenu, his father, whose wishes he immediately fulfills. Unlike the other deities, causing madness is more important and enjoyable than even death and destruction to Walpurgis as he delights in cruelty, is incredibly deceptive and manipulative, and cultivates followers with deceit.
