Alias: Raksha
Nationality: Romanian (Transylvanian Saxon)
Age: 98 (born in 1920, still alive)
Gender: Female
Race: Werewolf
Appearance:
Weight: 60 kg
Personality: Hilda's like a missile. She loves the hunt, and remains calm and cold when it goes on, but when the target is locked, she explodes in a violent, bloody rage. When she's not pursuing a prey, she's actually quite compassionate, and have a strong sense about right, wrong, and honour. She lives by a code, not entirely different from "the law of the jungle" as described in The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. Hence her alias, Raksha, Mowgli's adoptive mother. Her superiors first called her Agent K9, but she didn't like it, and managed to get it changed. She can be quite stubborn and won't give up until she gets what she wants.
History: Hilda was born in Transylvania in 1920, to a German werewolf family. Fascism was all the rage back then, and as an ethnic minority the Zahn's felt that the pan-Germanic ideas of NSDAP suited them perfectly (especially Hilda's grandfather Wolfgang, who was old enough to remember how the high status and influence of the Transylvanian Saxons had decrased a lot over the years, ever since he had moved there in the Middle Ages). Some of her older brothers were already active in the Iron Guard, and a large part of the brood, including Hilda, volunteered to join the SS when WWII broke out - although it should be noted that it wasn't just for ideological reasons, their canine side gave them a bloodlust that simply had to be satisfied.
Because of her gender, Hilda was first supposed to be an SS-Helferin in far behind the front, likely in a concentration camp. She of course refused, that wasn't why she had volunteered, and she got what she wanted. Unlike her brothers however, she wasn't sent to the Eastern front, which was considered too dangerous for a woman. Instead, she would end up in Paris, as an aid to the Gestapo. She enjoyed it at first, it was fun to hunt down resistance fighters, and to torture and kill them - but when it came to the persecution of Jews, she simply couldn't... As a werewolf in rural Romania, she knew just what it was like to be hated for her race, and she symphatized with other minorities too (except vampires, fuck those guys), which ironically was one of the reasons she had joined the Nazis in the first place... Besides, against la Résistance there was an element of sport, they were fighting each other, sometimes with dirty methods, sure, but still more or less fair and square. Targeting innocents was something completely different.
So what Hilda did, was that she started to help smuggle Jews, especially families with children, out of France. In the beginning she still took part in fighting partisans, but gradually she was herself drawn more and more into the resistance movement, eventually becoming a double agent. Luckily, the Gestapo never found out.
After the war, Romania was under Soviet occupation, so she couldn't return home. She stayed in Paris, and worked at nightclubs popular among the criminal underworld and other scum, such as former Nazi collaborators and supernatural beings - the kind of clubs where no one asked about your past, nor your present, for that matter. However, despite that, she late one moonless night as she was walking home from work, found herself surrounded by a group of armed men, who caught her in an alley. Jewish avengers, she thought, and with a defiant growl she explained that yes, she had been a Nazi, a member of the SS, but she had also helped many of their people. Didn't that matter at all?
The men had then exchanged looks, and whispered among each other, before addressing her again. Hilda had been ready to die, although not without a fight, but what they said surprised her completely. They didn't care at all that she had been a Nazi, they worked for the Company and while they had intended to kill her, it was because she was a werewolf. Now however, with this new info, maybe they could make an exception. Her story would of course be examined, but for the moment she was free to go. They would find her if it turned out to be necessary, they said.
That was her first contact with the Company, but not the last. They would later use her as an informant, and from the late 50's and onwards, she would be permanently employed as a consultant.
Powers: With almost a century of training, she can now for the most part control her shape-shifting abilities, and either transform completely to a wolf, or a wolfwoman, or just partially, with certain body parts. It is however harder to control during full moon, or when she's experiencing strong emotions or strong intoxication. She can also communicate with wolves and dogs.
Strengths: She's very goal oriented, just like a predator stalking its prey.
Weaknesses: Allergic to silver. Prone to aggressiveness.
Weapons: Two Colt M1911, and a Bowie knife.
Position: Consultant
Suite: A gothic hall, with some rather macabre designs (such as skull ornaments, and shrunken heads used for decoration).
