Ah-eh-ioh-uh wrote:The being did not know when it would become IT/itself in full but his formation began, as far as anyone could tell when the first god of this world (a world yet to be given shape) took one of his first actions, it began the slow process of what would later become what it would become.
After his first action something happened that he had probably not intended.... At that one action something in the formless world began to take shape.... He had awoken something.... Something he might live to either celebrate or regret. Perhaps he did not see it. Perhaps he did not notice it at all. But after taking his first action some small part of him drifted away as an emanation....
This casting off this energy was not harmful... Nor was it helpful either. Not yet at least. Whether this occurrence boded good or ill had yet to be found. The emanation was involuntary and changed nothing about the first god at all. Oher was that first god. When he took his second action in the world, more of this new entity was formed. Oher possibly had no clue that this god was even in the space near him forming as more and more gods appeared on the scene and spoke and acted. It WAS of course possible that Oher WAS aware of his (its?) presence in some way. Of course if he sensed another, he did not recognize it for what it was.... Another god. A transparent/translucent bundle of energy in a nebula-like web somehwre in his vicinity.
The presence was small. Tiny in fact. At least at first. As more and more gods spoke and acted upon arrival on the scene, that presence and energy began to get bigger... More expansive. Tendrils of fine transparent energy sapping energy from all the gods as the acted. Not sapping energy in a HARMFUL way though. It was not vampiric and certainly did not take their divinity from them in any way. No. It was more like the actions and words that occurred created tangible and REAL emanations from the gods that made those actions, and the energy released by those actions rippled out into the world to be absorbed into this new nebulous being.
Umbra acted. And acted some more. Her influence shaped him. She was also possibly unaware of his presence seeing as he still had no color or much substance to his form. God after god showed up at the scene and he slowly began to awaken more and more. He found that these people spoke quite a lot and far too quickly for him to catch up. They asked many questions, just as he did, but moved on to other things far too quickly for his own tastes. You see, he, (is he a he? What is gender?), above many others asks lots of questions and thinks a lot. Those traits combined with his quiet and timid nature had prevented him from speaking up until this moment.
He felt as if he needed to make himself known or else the others might NEVER slow down and then he might NEVER catch up. He had previously been lost in all his own thoughts but now felt the need to speak his mind's voice aloud for the others to hear it.
He dared to pause only just the tiniest bit more to consider HOW he might communicate what he needed to communicate as much as WHAT he wanted to voice. It was also a question of when. These other deities sometimes talked over eachother and had separate conversations among one another. He'd need to find a good opening as to be heard above the chartter.
"Lots of question about what is, was and what WILL be I have aplenty as well" He spoke in the silence of the formless world, the voice inserting itself in the first moment he perceived was the least disruptive to the conversation of the others. (Just as Xyhistus forms the spherical grid and starts brainstorming with the others)
Silently he waited patiently to see if anybody had noticed his words and the voice of his new presence on the scene.

Ah-eh-ioh-uh wrote:He noticed the presence of one of the other gods in the world drift towards him. He had been recognized! A strange sensation washed over him. A.... Positive emotion.... Yes.... That's what it was... Positive. Later he would know the complexities of these types of sensations as "emotions" but for now he just reveled in the feeling, whatever it was.
This entity was like himself. Kind of formless. It had color to it which was different but the thing that stood out to him was that the entity was an amorphous blob. Similar to his own self. Some of the other gods had already taken on forms more complex and substantial but he himself did not yet understand such a concept so he didn't really see the use in giving himself things like serpent's heads or talons and wings. This entity has a little more shape to him that himself but he nonetheless still saw a similarity.
He did not know if this creature also possessed the capability to communicate like himself but it was clear that this being was sentient just like himself. Otherwise it would not have come near him in response to his words. One thing that he noted and much to his chagrin only brought up more questions to the already infinite amount he had, was despite having some amount of knowledge on how to speak, he still had no idea on the exact mechanics of how it worked. How did they communicate? How did they KNOW how to communicate? How did they even know what communication was? He tried to put all these questions aside for the moment because deep down some part of him knew that if he didn't stop asking questions in his own mind, he'd never get the chance to ask for the answer of a single ONE of them.
How he knew this he did not yet know. But suffice to say he had an inner wisdom that let him know sometimes it was best to set aside questions and act. In that way, some of the questions burning within him might even be answered. If he did nothing but voice questions in his mind, none of those questions would ever have the chance to be answered.
He thought for a few moments, attempting to figure out how to respond to this situation. It was possible this was a fluke and the entity did not near because he noticed him. It was possible it was sheer....coincidence? What a coincidence was was yet another question he'd have to ponder the deeper mysteries of later. But suffice to say he needed to come up with a plan to respond.
"You have noticed me?" He communicated, wondering how it was that he was able to communicate at all.
He waited for some sort of reaction now, from the grey amorphous blob. He wondered how the other would respond. It was possible it communicated differently than he did. He would never know if he didn't try though...

Attaval took interest in Maligant's creations, seeing them as being potential tools in some secret design he had conceived. He manipulated some of the smaller creatures into the first detritovores, who followed Ossedax and consumed whatever organic material he left behind. Attaval's scavengers whispered strange living ideas to each other, which proliferated throughout the noosphere much like Maligant's creatures proliferated throughout the physical world.
The Exalted Serpents observed their children, and they were pleased.

Zracon has seen a miraculous act before, he feels awe of a sort. Admiration, yet he still feels a tinge of envy, and a feeling that something is missing. Zracon mimics the movements of the serpents. First a form is created. Twisting the corpus of other gods to speak grows tiring. A massive process of unimaginable complexity takes place, space starts to bend into a single point as materials that had not existed a second ago start to exist now.
They are now twisted into shapes, non Euclidean and Euclidean alike, all blending into one single shape. A symbol of bones to show his dominance amoung the new creations, a swarm in the shadows representing what he shall create, a word comes from nowhere in his mind. "Typhon", a name and yet at the same time something else, a description of what he is to become. Now there have been enough extravagancies, a face would be unnecessary, there are better ways of communication.
Now he turns to the new world, it is beautiful and a place of serene beauty. Peace reigns across the realm apart from the cry of a predator taking his prey. Suddenly ideas or thoughts of a sort flare across his head. More predators will be needed, while the serpents have created diverse forms and weaved them into an ecosystem a predator and prey relationship is simply a single hunt. A whisper on the winds lost in the void. Creations only truly thrive in conflict, and the gods must reign supreme.
A predator must be made to control those under the Parthenon, to ensure power stays in the hands of the gods. And peace aside from isolated pockets of conflict will not improve them enough to be interesting. Thus a predator of civilizations must be made. Various monsters, creatures of the dark have been born, each detail carefully carved into a single complex rival ecosystem to incite the sparks of war. For now the creations are small and primative, therefore their monsters must hide for now, under the caves, within the oceans and under children's beds. For now they watch, waiting, hating all above them.
Action: Zracon the Host of monsters uses 20% of his power to create creatures of conflict.

Seeing that the world was now making noise and movement on its own, the Deep One was intrigued. It would be a far better use of his pent up energy than lapping against the edges of the cosmos. Tiny green organisms, brought by the currents he willed to gather there, formed small colonies of growing organisms, hanging around the "stars" the singing one produced, enjoying the music and life in peace. Soon other forms of life grew, more complex stalks of green and vibrant hues, and a predator was devised to protect the growing green that he devised against several wriggling creatures not of his making. It wasn't particularly elegant or eloquent, but it got the job done, seeing farther and better than the writhing mass of bodies and devouring them with ease. Deciding to create something to mimic the song of creation, his ambition or (perhaps envy) grew. So did the grey mass within his claws, far larger than any creature devised before it, and it sung in a haunting deep melody. With that, he laughed, and the waters leapt in joy.
Like a man possessed, new creature after creature was devised, food and flora floated beneath the unseen currents, pittering to the edges of the world and filling every watery depth with resilient life. Another creature was fashioned, something much smaller than the gigantic blue-grey creature, but wholly light grey and swifter, leaping about and chittering. Laying on His back, The Deep One leaned back onto the gently rippling waves, he gazed upon Ellendelle's haunting mist. A longing lump found its way into his chest. What...what was this sensation?
He sought out others, finding his way to a nebulous mass of tentacles who he assumed to be either something like him, or something created by someone else.

Intrigued, she floats closer to touch the substance. It was cold and ever so slightly did it leach away at the light that passed through it. The darkened depths called to her, she felt more at home in the shadowy place so much more similar to the initial void.
"This place shall have an anathema to nature, a creature of water and shadow that lurks and skitters within the depths." she said. Seven creatures formed in the water and shadow, made from the very darkness and water they dwelt within. Each had many arms, around fourteen to fifteen, which ended in sharp claws. Their eyes were dark and cold in the light but shone like bloody rubies in their dark habitats. They each bore two mouthes, filled with teeth like blades and daggers. They were small for now, but they would grow bigger as time marched on. Their tails were long and finned with a plumage. A corrosive substance covered their skin, leaving only their appendages and heads safe to touch. It would need no sustenance but fear and terror, surfacing only to feed on that psionic energy. Many myths would later describe them, the Abyssal Wraiths, the first abominations and one of the elder races.
The things flocked around her, as she willed them to. She was not yet ready for her wraiths to be harmed, they would need to grow. One day they could be a proper fire to forge the strength of this world, but today they were too small and too weak. They would need things to frighten, they would need food that could sustain them and help them grow.
Action: Anamara created the abyssal wraith, abominations of the deep, using 7 % of her power (1% going to each).

Action: Oher uses 20% of his divine power creating Stories
Oher, seeing all the wondrous things other gods are doing, decides that there must be a way to remember these events; so he decides to begin making the story of creation. He spins his tale, about the gods who made the world; but the tale is yet unfinished, for the world is not done. He sees the first mortals; and down he comes to them, prepared to speak his tale, to tell of the gods which rule over them. It speaks of the first great council, the deciding of the rules of the universe; and seeing these men, how how they were terrified of his form, he decided to change it. He takes the form of a man, (the man I described in my character sheet) and uses that form to spread the tale among men.

Blobboi, annoyed someone would dare interfere in his mortals (because he totally has room to talk) takes on the form of a mortal, with a name of "Lethargo" and tells Oher, in the Mortals primitive tongue "You are not welcome outsider!"

Oher speaks. “I am no outsider, Blobboi. I am Oher, a god; I have shared with these men a story that they ought to know. The story of how they were created.”
