But while she has trained herself to endure for longer, it makes the effects of overworking herself that much worse. The effects of Chronic fatigue syndrome no longer effect her. Instead, overexerting her powers will send her brain into a frenzy, eventually sending her into a coma, one that could either last a few months, to a few decades.

Personality: In the four years after her battle with the Chosen, Anastasia has changed. She no longer is the relaxed, happy go lucky girl. Now, she has a resemblance to her father's cold nature, embracing a darker side of the hero, one she believes is necessary in this new world. Her relationship with Darius continues to be one of the last few positive effects in her life.

Bio:
Anastasia's powers manifested randomly at the age of three when she pointed at the family cat after it scratched her, the purple energy flowing around the cat and thrusting it out of the window. Her parents, Richard and Serena Block, witnessed it. Her father, being an enhanced superhero, became very interested in enhancing these powers, although deathly worried at how she gained these powers. As she grew older, her father centered his time and energy around training her powers, teaching her to learn that life was different for her now. He taught her hand-to-hand combat within the Owl's Nest along with Ollie homeschooling her. When she was 15, her mother and father divorced, most likely over how to treat their daughter's newfound powers. Her mother no longer wanted any part and allowed Richard to take full custody of Anastasia. She was trained in the Martial Arts, including Krav Maga and stick fighting. She learned to utilize Iron Owl's gadgets. When she turned eighteen, he applied for her to learn at the Academy. She continued to learn what it was to be a superhero, trying to hone her powers and grow stronger with them. She was accepted two years later at the age of 20.

Since the conclusion of the war, Anastasia has found a home in the Pathfinders in the Korean Peninsula, conducting military-type strikes with Darius.

Personality:
Richard possesses a heavy weight upon his shoulders after the traumatic experience he received from his missionary trip to Nigeria twenty years prior. Witnessing the deaths of all of his friends and local civilians left a mark on him that forever changed his way of thinking. No longer was he optimistic or happy about much. Now, he has grown bitter towards all of life, his life devoted now to actively pursuing all crime, whether it be in Seattle, his hometown and location of his company, Salus Security Solutions, or around the world. He finds little time for activity outside of being the Iron Owl. The rare times he is active as Richard Block, he focuses on contracts for his company, searching for more advanced technology and equipment, and sleeping.

Bio:

Richard Anthony Block was born August 14, 1980 to Walter and Mary Block. The son of an Anglican preacher, Richard was raised in the church by the church. By the time he was 14 years old, he signed up to become a missionary to Africa, scheduled to visit Nigeria, Rwanda, and Somalia over the course of 3 years. His first trips to Somalia and Rwanda passed with ease. He helped the locals connect with God while improving their living conditions as best they could. At the age of 17, during his trip to Nigeria, he and his 15 other missionaries and best friends stopped at Kachia to rest for the night and help the civilians grow closer with the Lord. During the night, the town was attacked by Boko Haram, an Islamic extremist group. Using armored trucks and machine guns, they rounded up all those who denounced Islam, including the 16 Anglican missionaries. They immediately gunned down the hundreds of people in the town. Throughout the night, Boko Haram tortured and killed several members of the mission, all while Richard watched. As soon as the dawn arose, a Nigerian army unit was dispatched to the location. Before the unit could arrive, the terrorists fled, leaving Richard and 3 other missionaries alive, though would soon died from their wounds. Deeply scarred and sickened by his experience, Richard returned a different man. He turned his back on everything, cursing both his parents and the church during evening mass. At 18, he began taking steps to vengeance. He knew it would be slow, but as long as he kept on it, it would come eventually. He attended Gonzaga University and successfully obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Cyber Security. During his time, he managed to make friends with a few of the other students in his class and began the idea to start a Washington-based Security company. The company, starting off as Archangel Security Solutions, began their work manufacturing home and office security systems and would eventually grow to a larger, Seattle-based company that serviced the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and California. Using his cunning and influence, he quietly pushed his rivals out or bribed them, effectively becoming CEO of the company, that would be renamed to Salus Security Solutions, Salus being the Roman god of protection. His company would continue to work in the cyber security field but now encompassed physical security needs. As CEO, he gained access to security programs and benefits, during his training, he donned the Iron Owl costume, a crude, bulky suit made of scrap steel, with minimal gadgets. For the first few months, he rolled over Seattle's criminal underground, taking down two crime syndicates and a Mafia boss within a month. He had also become a target for the Seattle Police Department, even to the point where they labeled him as a criminal. As his night career flourished, so did his creativity with his suit. The old Iron Owl Mark One suit was scrapped, so was the Mark Two, Mark Three, Mark Four, and Mark Five. His final and current creation is the Mark Six, made of a nickel-titanium alloy.

The end of the war left the Sentinels in shambles. With the deaths of Black Lightning, Triton, Bastion, Lotus, and Flare, the destruction of Owl's Nest and Salus Security Solutions, Richard had no choice but to lockdown Watchpoint and ensure the survival of his team over their mission. Richard pleaded for his daughter to remain with him at Watchpoint, but her choice was already made. Richard is now attempting to contact his old friends to help rebuild the Sentinels and bring the world back from the brink of darkness.

Hyperkinesis: Gives him superhuman balance, aim, and reflexes. He can also predict the trajectory of objects in motion. This makes him a perfect shot and allows him to dodge bullets or trip a running person to cause him to fall into a specific position. His hyperkinesis also allows him to retrace the path of a projectile from only the apparent end result.

Foresight: He can see 10-20 seconds into his future. This future can change depending on what he does-- for example, if he sees that he's going to get pulled over for speeding down the street, he may slow down and avoid getting pulled over. Similarly, if he's about to be attacked, he can use this time to briefly ready himself and catch his attacker off guard. This ability can be "turned off", for lack of a better term, but flips back on instinctively and at-will.

Drawbacks: His foresight causes him to experience moments over and over again. For example, in a conversation, he might see 20 different scenarios play out in his mind in a millisecond, all depending on what he says. Having done this, he may forget that these moments haven't actually happened yet. This has caused him to simply end a conversation because he thought it was over, and even see his daughter die a thousand times instead of once.

Garret prefers to stay cocky and full of himself, finding situations less stressful when deploying humor. Garret prefers to do whatever it takes to finish a job.

Bio:

Garret grew up in Nevada, and joined the ROTC at the University of Nevada at age 18. At 22, he graduated with a degree in Physics and a minor in engineering. He worked as an officer in the Marines for six years, overseeing combat engineers in a variety of duties, including clearing minefields, bridge construction, and bomb disposal. When he left the Marines he went back to school and graduated with a PhD in Physics from Cal Tech. He obtained a research grant and a teaching position at the University of Utah, where he imagined he would live for the rest of his life.
When he was 29, his daughter was 3. His wife had left him after an unhappy marriage in the military, calling him nuts when he told her he thought he could see the future. He and his only child were living in Salt Lake City when she was diagnosed with cancer. She died a year later at 4. When she died, Garret blamed the insurance company for not putting approving treatments he thought could save her, and also blamed a doctor who had recommended against the treatments. He quit his teaching job and research at U of U and seemingly disappeared.
A few months later, the doctor who argued against the treatment was found dead in his home, having been skinned alive from his head down to his waist. A couple weeks later, and the headquarters of Mountain Spring Insurance Co. was firebombed, leaving dozens dead, including the company's Board of Directors. Both events were caused by Garret, who had become consumed by rage and revenge. Having began this road, he could not-- and did not want to-- see a way out of it. People needed to be avenged of the wrongs done to them, and he would be there, in the shadows, ready to put his training and skills to use. Sure, he would occasionally have to take a questionable contract for the incredible pay, but he primarily pursued contracts that met his moral code.
Garret was not questioned, or even thought to be involved with, the doctor's murder or the bombing by local police. He primarily operates in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and California. He has since retired from being an assassin-for-hire after he was severely injured in a bombing orchestrated by Iron Owl. He's now 40.

After years of retirement, World War 3 had brought him back into the game, running contracts for several different organizations, including governments. He has always succeeded in his missions and has always been paid on time, or his employer would be next on his list.

no, tech level is still normal/slightly advanced. It destroyed a few cities mentioned, but several regions in Europe, SA, SE Asia, and the Middle East are destroyed, war-torn and lawless 'dead zones'

  • Inner Energy: Adrian has a pool of internal energy flowing through his body, almost like ki. This energy is made up of very abstract qualities related to inner strength, such as willpower and courage, and it forms a resevoir inside his body that can Adrian can tap into at any time, to preform several abilities.
    • Flight: Pretty self-explanatory.
    • Enhanced Condition: He can tap into his inner energy to give him a temporary strength, speed, and sensory buff.
    • Raw Power: In its most basic application, Adrian can use his inner energy to fire off several powerful attacks such as shockwaves, shields, and beams. These manifest themselves as solid, golden light forms.
  • Combat Training: Adrian knows how to fight, and has been doing so for a long time. While not superhuman, he is in peak physical shape, and is able to apply this through martial arts such as boxing, which he has been learning for over ten years.

Drawbacks:

  • Finite Pool: Adrian's pool of energy is finite, period. He doesn't have enough energy to go indefinitely, and eventually, his power will run thin, and he'll be forced to live off his normal bodily energy. As well, the actual pool, once it begins to dwindle, almost acts like a power-save mode, weakening and weakening the powers progressively to conserve energy, unless Adrian willfully uses more. While this gives him longer substance in battle, it tends to make him limited in terms of firepower.

    As well, because it is powered by his inner courage and willpower, it can be weakened. If he begins to suffer fear or anxiety, begins to experience doubt or starts to give in in terms of mental resistance, it can actually cut off his supply of power, leaving him in serious trouble.

  • Flight: Adrian can only fly so fast and for so long. His top speed is 60 MPH gliding, and 95 MPH in a straight dive, and that's at maximum power. If he uses the entire pool of energy to fly (which is unlikely), he can fly for half an hour straight before needing a rest.

  • Enhanced Condition: Adrian's enhanced condition, while powerful, has concrete upper limits on what it can and cannot do. At maximum power, his strength is enough to kick down a reinforced door, break through bricks, or pick up some small motorized vehicles like ATV's, but anything weighing tons in mass or made of titanium are out of his reach. As for his speed, his top running speed at maximum power is 40 MPH on foot, or slightly faster than the Secretariat Racehorse. Finally, while he does get a boost in his senses/instincts when he taps into his energy, it is not very powerful. It's more regulated to minor stuff, such as hearing very loud noises across soundproof walls, distinguishing people by smell, reading very small marks/hidden codes by touch, etc. Nothing on the level of magic users or superhumans with enhanced senses. At maximum power, he can keep his enhanced condition for up to 20 minutes.

  • Raw Output: His light constructs, while decently powerful, are not ultimate destroyers. No construct is bigger than 10 feet by 10 feet in terms of size (shields, beams), and in terms of raw damage output, they aren't very powerful. Strong enough to deliver second/third degree burns, break through thin stone walls, break a few small bones, and do some decent damage, but they cannot preform serious tasks like killing or maiming an indvidual, unless multiple hits are used.

  • Only Human: Again, self-explanatory. He's a human, he's squishy, he's weak to stuff humans are.

Strengths: In great physical condition and level of combat training, meaning he isn't a sitting duck without his powers. Is very good on his feet and is a quick thinker. Works well in a group situation, and is a good communicator and team-worker.

Weaknesses: Doesn't have much power when working alone, and operates better in a support role over a solo offensive role. Can sometimes overplan, leading to confusion when things don't go his way. Is too stubborn and hot-headed for his own good, leading to him sometimes falling into sticky situations.

- Dabria is ambidextrous as she uses her left hand to write and uses her right hand to fire guns. It's also why her left arm has a metal steel gauntlet since it is the most exposed in combat
- Dabria's seven barreled minigun is named Odessa which means "Filled with Wrath" in Greek
- "Katyusha" was a nickname given from her grandfather who was a veteran truck driver who drove a Katyusha rocket launcher in WW2

Abilities

Powers:
Enhanced Endurance: Katyusha can endure the physical stresses of carrying her body armor, minigun, smg, and the ammo for long periods of time and even over longer walking distances. Not a sprinter but she can be quick on her feet if need be.

Enhanced Durability: Her entire body can endure high levels of impact against blunt trauma and explosive knockback. It also never hurts to wear extra armor.

Enhanced Strength: Katyusha needs the strength to begin with when it comes lugging around her heavy weapon. Though not as strong as other meta-humans with Enhanced Strength, she is on par with the world's strongest non-metahuman man (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson).

Weapons:
Odessa: Katyusha's seven barreled electric powered 7.62 mm minigun that shoots up to 10,000 rpm. Capable of shooting down low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and even rockets, this gun easily allows her to dominate open-field terrain due to its long rifled barrels for higher accuracy. Weighs 395 lbs and its entire length is 9 feet (barrel length is 7.9 feet).

Ppsh-41: cheap to manufacture, reliable, and simple to maintain, this gun used to belong to Katyusha's grandfather before being passed down to her. Aside from the sentimental value, having the firepower of 900 rpm with a 71-drum mag is very useful to have when she is stuck in a close-quarters situation.

Brass Knuckles: Actually made out of titanium, these pair of spiked knucklebusters are found on Katyusha's person as a response to combat getting extremely close or that she ran out of bullets for her guns. Since she mainly punches with her left, a brass knuckle was modified to be fit around the gauntlet she wears.
Drawbacks:

Enhanced Endurance: still subject to the three human requirements for life: water, food, and sleep.

Enhanced Durability: can be bypass from suffocation, gas, drowning, poison, disease, and any bullets larger than a 0.50 cal will start doing damage to her body.

Enhanced Strength: extremely weak when put up against a meta-human whose primary powers are super-human strength

Odessa: With a firepower of 10,00 rpm and a magazine size of 500 bullets, Katyusha will run out of ammo in 20 seconds. Unless she uses the 6,000 round ammo backpack, she will be vulnerable when reloading. Also, the length of her entire minigun makes her unsuitable when engaging in urban combat (unless when she is fighting in the street or on top of buildings).

Strengths:
With the minigun being Katyusha's primary weapon, she is best suited in engaging against large concentrations of armored infantry since she uses tungsten core bullets to rip through their armor. Given her tanky nature and endurance, Katyusha can spearhead an assault or be crucial when maintaining a defense. Since she was raised in Russia, she also developed a natural tolerance towards low temperatures.
Weaknesses:
However strong she is, Katyusha sacrifices speed for overwhelming firepower with her minigun. Enemies that are quick in mind and reflexes can attempt to get her to start wasting bullets and time as she is forced to reload her gun by constantly dodging and getting behind her.

Personality:
Katyusha, like the weapon she is nicknamed after, is brutal and sometimes cruel in warfare as she can be less concerned of the people's lives she is mowing down with her minigun. When she is not fighting, however, Katyusha is a quiet, thoughtful, and considerate person; almost pacifist-like when she is reminiscing about her childhood before the Ukrainian Crisis and the Third World War. She also secretly seeks fatherly affection from Sherkov, whom she is working under. She places great trust with the people she works with and does not take it kindly if someone doesn't return the kindness.

She upholds her weapons like holy artifacts since they are her daily reminders of a time of peace before the world collapsed into war and anarchy.
Bio:
Born July 14, 2002, Dabria Smirnov was born into a family of ethnic Russians living near the border between Russia and Ukraine. Her father was an specialist engineer who studied abroad and went on international business trips so he had to leave the house every now and then. During her first 12 years, her life was uneventful as she went to school normally and lived at home normally. Her powers did not become known until she singlehandedly pushed the family's truck out of the thick mud that bogged down a unpaved road. It seemed obvious at first that Dabria would become a metahuman working for the safety of Russia, but instead her father quickly contained the news to only her own family with the only exception being her grandfather from dad's side of the family. She began using her powers to help assist her father in his own workshop by lifting heavy metals and machinery that would be used.

By the time the Ukrainian Crisis erupted, her father was well invested on a secret pet project on a seven barreled minigun which he was inspired to do after watching a youtube video and reading up on the GAU -8 Avenger. Though he doesn't approve of how violent things were evolving, he told Dabria that he is a Russian man first and a Ukrainian citizen second and as such, he believes that Russia is in the right in this conflict. With whatever materials he can purchase, scavenge, and recycle with the help of Dabria, the prototype minigun was completed in 2016. Even though it started with an impressive 6,000 rpm on the first try, her father wanted to achieve more. He added a seventh barrel and developed a more power motor in order to increase the firing rate.

When the world fell into a third world war, the final design of the minigun was completed and although it weigh nearly 400 lbs, it was light enough for Dabria to use. And just in time to, as the violence in Eastern Ukraine ignited into a full blown war as radicals sprang up from nowhere and started terrorizing the neighborhood. For several years, the family manage to survive while being on the run from the terrorists thanks to Dabria's strength with the minigun and they even manage to reunite with the veteran grandfather and his PPSh-41 smg. However, they stumbled upon an extremely large number armed radicals and was forced into a gunfight. Dabria was bulletproof but her family was not and they had to fight with whatever weapon they could get their hands on. When she ran out of bullets for the minigun, she resorted to throwing rocks and bricks at the gunmen. When she ran out of rocks and bricks, Dabria then started punching, kicking, and biting at the gunmen. By evening, she was the last one standing and spent the entire night mourning at the lost of her family.

Taking up her father's minigun, her grandfather's smg, and a pair of titanium brass knuckles that she looted off of a body Dabria wandered aimlessly until she stumbled across Sherkov. Totally unaware that he was responsible for the uprisings, she joined his journey and began working for him.

Abilities

Powers: The Seven Seals of Revelation
  • The 1st Seal: Conquest- Judas gains superhuman strength up to 30 tons, and moderate Super Durability. He Also gains some mental fortification. A white seal appears on the back of his right hand.
  • The 2nd Seal: War- Judas gains flight and super speed up to 200 mph while running, and upwards of 400 mph while flying. A burning red seal appears on the back of his left hand
  • The 3rd Seal: Famine- Judas gains the ability to absorb large amounts of electromagnetic, electric, and thermal energy. A deep-purple/black seal appears on his right forearm
  • The 4th Seal: Death- Judas can/must die once to activate, but it grants him the ability to drain the life of opponents to heal his wounds. A pale green seal appears on his left forearm
  • The Four Horsemen- having the first 4 seals unlocked increases Judas strength to 60 tons and increases his durability.
  • The 5th Seal: Cry of the Martyrs- Taking damage increases Judas strength, speed, and durability further. A blood-red seal with a white border appears on his right shoulder.
  • The 6th Seal: The Wrath of the Lamb- Judas can command natural disasters from meteors to earthquakes and storms and volcanoes, etc. A yellow and white seal appears on his left shoulder.
  • The 7th Seal: The Wrath of God- Unkown. A golden seal appears on his chest.
  • Unlocking a new seal heals all damage taken before unlocking it.

Drawbacks:
  • Seals can only be unlocked in sequential order. Most of the conditions for unlocking seals are normally fatal, and if it is not time for that seal to be unlocked, it will kill Judas
  • The price of blood- Judas must take a life to unlock the first seal, before that, he is human with no powers except some strange immunity to cold or discomfort
  • Spill the first drop- An enemy must cause Judas to bleed, internally or externally to unlock the second seal. It cannot be self-inflicted.
  • Break the Dam- Judas must be hit with a massive bolt of energy to unlock the third seal.
  • Lay Death in his Grave- Judas must be killed to unlock the 4th seal, but only after the 3rd has been unlocked.
  • Cull the Heretics- Judas must kill 100 innocent lives to unlock the fifth seal.
  • Eye of the Storm- Judas has to experience the force of a natural disaster to unlock the 6th seal.
  • Touch the Face of God- Unknown what must happen to unlock the 7th seal.
  • Judas can only keep the seals unlocked for 24 hours at maximum unless a new seal is unlocked.

Strengths: Judas becomes all but unstoppable if he is allowed to fight for prolonged periods of time.
Weaknesses: Has to have very specific requirements met to unlock the seals, and they must be done in order. And he is very vulnerable without the first seal.

personal Information

Personality: Charming in a somewhat off-putting way, but Judas is a natural demagogue, capable of holding people under his sway if he chooses, but Tyler has a darker side. He sees himself as the next prophet of God, here to judge the unworthy. He seeks to test the worthiness of other meta humans, and prove he is the only one worthy. He seeks to save them from their sin of thinking they are powerful, by ending their lives.

Bio: Mr. Gibson was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota with what he felt was a calling to become a pastor after his father. He actually saw his dream become a reality as he took his father's place in their small town church. Everything was great for a time. Tyler married an had a little girl and the Church grew in membership.

That all changed when a band of drifters blew into town. Several of them were metahumans, but all of them were trouble. After the townspeople lodged several complaints, the Sheriff and his small band of deputies ordered them to move on, but the confrontation quickly turned violent. As part of an Argus mandate, all local law enforcement agencies were equipped with power-dampening weapons, but due to the small size of the town, they were only given one rifle. That lone weapon set the metas off, and the law enforcement officers were quickly turned into a fine red mist. The band of metas ran the town for weeks, and Tyler turned to the only source of help he knew.

He prayed for deliverance, but the voice that spoke back to him from the void wasn't what Tyler was expecting. He tried to shake the whispers that filled his head, but they only became stronger. It offered him the power he sought, and eventually, it wore him down. He accepted, and it was like he saw the world through new eyes. Tyler walked up to one of the non-meta members of the gang, armed with nothing but a knife. He tried to talk them down, but they just told him to piss off. That did it. Tyler lost his temper and plunged the knife into the chest of the gang member, awakening the first seal.

In a matter of minutes, he seemingly effortlessly disposed of the gang, driving them out of town. He was hailed as a hero, but his family and congregation quickly noticed something had changed. His Messages became more extreme, even blasphemous, to the point where he was pulled aside and asked to step down. Tyler refused, and almost overnight, his congregation abandoned him. Enraged, Tyler flew into a fit of fury, destroying the inside of church. His Wife and Father tried to calm him down, but he felt betrayed by the last people he thought were on his side. Judas lashed out, hearing the whispers in his mind. What happened next became a blur, but when Judas came to, he was standing in the middle of a crater. The Church, the town, his congregation, his family, all gone. And he felt no remorse.

Not long after that, Judas found himself working with Mastermind and The Chosen.

Mission/Goals: Hunt down and test the strength of other Metas.

  • Electrokenesis – What it says on the tin. François can suck up electrical currents from certain sources, and then control the flow of it through the air and through his body. He can use this power to suck power away from something, or to charge a device, or to use the bolts as projectiles. Over the years he has learned some useful applications, involving life-saving uses like defibrillation, and more ambiguous methods of torture. He cannot create current himself, though, and always needs to draw it from somewhere in equivalence.
  • Electro-rejuvenation – The physical prowess of François is directly linked to the amount of current that is running through him at any given time. When fully empty, he will be his 67 year old self, complete with all the limitations age brings. The more he charges, the more like a 20-year-old he will become, and the stronger he will become as well. When charged with a lot of current, he might compete with Olympic athletes in various fields.


Drawbacks:
  • Needs current – François is powerless without current. Without a good intake of electrical energy he is just an ordinary man, no different from the rest of humanity.
  • Erratic – François loves his powers, and this has made him addicted to current. The feeling of being young and strong, of being able to run fast and hit hard, and being able to manipulate that current feels good. He craves it every waking hour. In the same vein, being charged with electricity feels like being on XTC and alcohol. It makes him erratic, prone to bursts of emotion and bipolar switches in his emotional patterns, from heavy depression to bouts of euphoria.
  • Discharge – While François can manipulate current, he is not all-powerful. Enough water will draw him empty, as will a large positive charge in his vicinity or a strong magnet. Some things are more powerful than him, especially when he is not charged with sufficient power.
Strengths: A veteran of WWIII, François has gotten used to his powers in a combat environment. He can use them to the utmost of his ability, and they have become one with his persona. He is also quite intelligent and kind, and knows how to get people to like and respect him. Looking old and frail has its advantages.
Weaknesses: Being old and frail has its disadvantages. Without his dose of current, he is no stronger than a regular human being. Besides that, he now fears his powers, while also being addicted to them. He has not touched an electrical outlet in months, and is doing his best to stay under the radar. He claims to have scrapped his old suit, but unbeknownst to the governments of the world, it still resides in the basement of his house. He fears it too, though, and is unwilling to go near it.

personal Information

Personality: François has the exterior of a boring old man, and his interior reflects that a bit. He can be very reserved, concentrated and silent, only speaking when absolutely necessary. Co-workers nicknamed him ‘the grave’ because he talks to little. Behind that façade, however, is a man who has seen much. He has seen what happened during the China campaign, and wishes to blot it out, so that such things never happen again. He is ashamed of his own powers and his usage of them, and is mostly trying to forget that he has them, together with forgetting his past life.

Bio: François realised he had powers quite late in life. He was an ordinary man living a quite ordinary life, a lowly legal clerk working for a small French lawyer firm in Marseille. He had a loving fiancée at the time, a reasonable flat and a good education, although there was little hope for him to move up the ranks. The lawyers in his firm passed better jobs on to their friends and family, and the somewhat awkward François was always overlooked.

At the age of 30, when he was working on some power lines in the house, François found out about his powers. He had forgotten to put off the current in his home, and touched an open wire. Instead of feeling pain, though, he felt a sudden relief as electrical current ran through his body. Getting his phone to call Claire, his fiancée, he noticed that the nearly-empty phone was suddenly fully charged, and remained that way for hours afterwards.

In the following weeks, François would begin to experiment with his powers. He touched electrical wiring, made electrical devices work while not plugged in… The experiments became bigger and bigger in scope. Before long, he was walking into fields with an iron rod, trying to attract thunder. When he was finally hit one night, he returned home drunk on power. He busted many devices in and around the home on accident, and Claire immediately noticed that he was looking remarkably younger than he did before. Also, he was more gregarious, and found that all social conversations were going quite a lot smoother. In his day job as a legal clerk, everything was suddenly going swimmingly. He had the energy of five men, and never needed a rest. He never needed food, either, as the electrical energy filled his stomach. He rose up the ranks of the company until he was made a partner in the legal firm.

François felt, though, that his talents were being wasted doing regular work. That was something for normal humans. He felt superior to others in all regards, and got into metahuman-superiorty literature and groups. He met with local supers, as well as national supers, and helped found the League for the Advancement of Metahuman Rights. Within this group, he led a splinter cell which did not only advocate metahuman rights, but also metahuman superiority. This splinter cell was not above using their powers to impress and intimidate the French populace. A number of bombings and assassination attempts later, the whole League was disbanded, its membership deemed illegal, and François had to flee abroad. He spent that time on the run with his family, performing odd jobs with his wife in every city he went to, nevery staying long in fear of Europe-wide persecution. Eventually, driven to the edge of reason living in a Napolitano ghetto, François began selling his services as a mercenary during WWIII. His powers made him a much-requested weapon, and soon things turned around for his family. François was deployed here and there, until he found permanent employment with the Chinese Uighur separatists. As part of their effort to get loose from China, he was attached to a unit assaulting the large Chinese cities. He was instrumental in knocking out power grids, supplying energy where needed and proving a very potent offensive weapon, very dangerous against modern tanks and men wielding stamped steel weapons. In China, the distinction between combatants and civilians was useless, and it was not made by either side. Revenge expeditions against civilians were common, as were terrorist attacks and counter-attacks.

In the end, however, the Chinese front bled dry. The Uighurs had their liberty, as there was simply no Chinese authority to speak of. Terror had fractured their territories into lawless provinces ruled by colonels and other military warlords, with very low population densities in the poisoned, burned landscape. The Chinese war ended not with a bang, but with a whimper, and soon all metahumans found themselves out of a job.

Returning to Naples, where his family was now living comfortably, he felt a newly peaceful world tightening around him. A new wave of optimism hit the world stage, and world governments found themselves eager to open a new chapter, mostly to forget about the old. The EU offered François a new identity, full with diplomas and credentials, in return never to speak of what happened during the war. With his new background, François began to work for the ICC. The countries of the world decided to add the use of metahuman individuals as a war crime in the Rome Statute, so there was a lot to convict yet. Before long, François became a judge himself, finding himself on the other end of the stick, desperately trying to get his life back in order and hiding his past from the world at large.

Powers:
  • Void Walker: Prophet is infused with the energy of another primordial dimension that allows him to open breaches into this dimension and allow him to pass into it, and exit it at will. Traveling distances in the Void moves exponentially in the real world. He can effectively teleport with this ability, but it isn't instantaneous for distances of more than 50 ft. Further than that can take seconds to minutes depending on several factors.
  • Prophecy: Prophet is linked to the void which has a different timeline to that of our dimension. He can focus on certain events, and can inconsistently see glimpses of a possible outcome of the future. Most often the visions find him. He can get 'micro-flashes' where he senses imminent events, such as someone pointing a gun at him and he ducks out of instinct.
  • Void Suit: Bose-Einstein condensate: a state of matter where atoms stop behaving as individual particles Is the primary matter that the void is comprised of. He can summon it from the void and cause it to form a protective suit around him that grants Nate enhanced durability and protection from small arms and some larger arms to varying degrees of effectiveness.
  • Flight: When he has the suit manifested he can levitate by channeling Void energy ( a form of extra-dimensional energy).
  • He also has enhanced speed and strength when the suit is manifested. (I drew inspiration for this character from the movie Spectral, and he can do stuff kinda like This The main difference is that he is entirely corporeal at all times.)
  • Void blasts: Can fire discrete blasts of energy, or a constant beam of energy from his hands

Drawbacks:
  • BEC cannot pass through ceramics and similar materials
  • Prolonged contact with Iron can cause his void suit to flicker, and the effect is even more apparent so with sufficiently powerful magnets.
  • Nate cannot take anything alive into the Void he wants to keep that way.
  • His visions are wildly erratic, and make him vulnerable for some stretches of time depending on the intensity.

Strengths: Highly mobile and can deliver a stronger punch than any normal human.
Weaknesses: Isn't heavy artillery, and find himself outmatched by tanks or energy manipulators.

personal Information

Personality: appy and upbeat on the outside, but fears his powers. Nate has been known to have a bleeding heart; he'll give you the shirt off of his back, or punch you in the face if you look at someone he cares about in a malicious way. After fighting in WW III, he's become more in tune with this powers, and his ability to fight, however, he still idealistically wishes he didn't have to.

Bio: The first four years of Nate's life were, for the most part, normal. His parents owned a small home in Illinois, a few miles south of Chicago. His mom stayed at home and took care of him, and his dad was a cop. None of them really gave any thought to the "clinical trials" Mrs. Peterson had been involved in a little over four years ago until strange things started happening with Nate. Ever so rarely, a small flash of blue light would wake his parents up at night. Eventually, after buying a security camera, they discovered that Nate was the source of the late night fireworks. Slightly worried, they took him to numerous pediatricians and doctors, but they couldn't find anything wrong about him, except he was a little underweight. Frustrated, but defeated, they just kept going on despite the increasing strangeness. Nate soon started drawing pictures of things that hadn't happened yet, like a bad car accident down the street, or a shooting star. Expanding their search from beyond scientific explanations, they sought out priests and spiritual healers, but still found nothing; until a strange man showed up at their door and announced himself as John Smith.

He told them that their son was special and that he knew how to help them, but they needed to let him take Nate for their own safety. The obviously refused immediately, but it would prove to be a fatal mistake. One night, Nate had a terrible dream. A storm came from the place he saw during the flashes: it came from the Void and took away everything he loved. The next morning, he woke up to firefighters and emergency responders finding him unscathed in the rubble of his home. His powers had unleashed themselves: Void energy erupted from him and smashed his house to smithereens, along with his parents. The only thing he really remembers from that day was the most intense fear he had ever felt in his life, and a man standing in the crowd. He was the only one watching Nate and not looking at the destroyed house.

With no surviving relatives, he was thrust into the system where he bounced around from home to home after being repeatedly kicked out for accidentally destroying things. When he turned 18, Nate found an apartment as soon as he could and hurried to finish high school. His powers kept growing, but he tried to hide them, keeping a low profile. He took a few courses at a community college and got a job as a janitor that earned him enough rent to get a basement apartment in Chicago. He had learned about his powers over the years and was thrust unwillingly into using them to break up a mugging. After making sure the violated party was unharmed, he quickly chased after the culprit; his prophecy leading him right to them. One blast was all it took to knock them out cold. Nate left an anonymous tip for the police and opened a breach that took him back to his apartment. After some soul-searching, he decided to give the vigilante gig a serious try, but then he was contacted by the Academy. And he immediately accepted.

He made a few friends in the Academy, and like the others did his part to fight the Chosen and then the world when the fighting broke out. When the dust cleared, he followed Fionn Szabo to work with Argus, equal parts thinking and hoping they would help other metas and keep peace.

For this new AWH run, Windtalker (from AWH Novum Saeculum) will be working out of a low-key office of ARGUS (where their bureaucrats go to work out their remaining years, if they have nowhere else to go). She is an ARGUS "sanctioned" hero, but most of her work involves quietly helping the regional police agencies.

Windtalker is mostly there to help characters have a reason and place to meet. She is not supposed to be very active in AWH Broken World.

Five and a half feet tall. Her build was trim and athletic. The moccasins on her feet seemed to be made of horse leather. Above those, she wore leggings from the hide of bighorn sheep. Going up from there was a very short skirt which looked to be made of mountain lion skin. Her midriff was exposed. A capelet of black bearskin covered her shoulders and down over all but the very bottom of her breasts. A mask of reptile skin covered her face from her hairline just below her chin, black with irregular patterns of red, probably gila monster, concealing her face and her secrets while her eyes shone through its eye holes like dim malignant stars. Owl feathers were tied into her long and black hair. Whatever skin was not covered by her clothing was of a reddish brown color and upon it was either painted, or tattooed, with a number mystic symbols.

Very Hard to Kill, as a Yee Naaldooshii, she can only be permanently killed by someone, in her presence, saying her secret name to her, or by extremely rare beings and substances of an appropriate type.

Drawbacks:
Archery Skill projectiles are generally slower than bullets.
Clairvoyance, is only visual, and may be blocked by magical methods.
Dream Magic, may be blocked by properly enchanted and placed magical wards, and may be overcome with knowledge of lucid dreaming and sufficient willpower.
Medium, requires a ritual and the targeted spirit may try to resist or possess the practitioner.
Radio Communications, requires all people desiring communication to have a working radio transceiver and knowledge of how to use it.
Skinwalker, has some 'uncomfortable' forms and the user may be mistaken for an animal by a hunter.
Spiritual Fire, may accidentally give away the user's position to an enemy if not carefully used.

Personality: The (Damned) Magician. “I make things happen (whether you like it or not).” Secretive.

Bio: A meta-human only in her ability to look into a flame and see far away things in real time, Mary Santiago was trained from an early age to be a Navajo Medicine Woman. At eighteen years old, the Argus agency politely took her to their Novum Saeculum Academy for training to be a 'sanctioned hero'. During the first half of her first year, she had a failed romance with another student who was expelled and who committed suicide soon after. On the heels of that event, she participated in the Battle of the Greenland Prison, on the team of the hero, Cypher, who later praised her unflinching ability to act in the face of danger (Windtalker admits this was mostly motivated by a fear of dying).
After the Battle of Greenland, Windtalker returned for a visit to her native Arizona, where, under extreme duress, she acquired magical powers associated with the mystic Navajo Skinwalkers, or Yee Naaldooshii.
Somewhat on the rebound from the previous relationship, she met Marko Merkas, of The Watchers, who had been hired as the Chief of Security for the newly located Novum Saeculum Academy. There was an almost instant attraction between them, and since both of them could be expected to have long natural lifespans, they were soon engaged to be married.
However, before the marriage could take place came the Battle of Los Angeles with The Chosen and then World War Three. Life and death not being one hundred percent certain, They became Mr. and Mrs. Merkas at their earliest opportunity. The pair were generally considered excellent examples of 'heroes' during the war.
After the war, Windtalker decided that she would work out of an Argus office in Flagstaff, AZ, largely specializing in trying to find missing persons and helping the regional law enforcement authorities.

Mission/Goals: Protect the Innocent/Defeat Intolerance and Racism.

Personality: Driven, pragmatic, Sol Invictus has convicted even his old enemies to fight with him for his goal. He sees Humanity as weak and fragile. He thinks he should rule the world. However, he is not a mindless conqueror; he does not wish to see the world burn..

Bio: Invictus used to be a hero, until he became disillusioned with humanity. He renounced his role a hero, vowing to take his place as the king of the world. He had made some enemies through the years, but he knew he could convince them to join the cause. When his old team learned of his plan, they turned on him, but he had managed to turn the mind of one of the team's younger members, a speedster. She lashed out against her team, her family, stabbing them in the back to stand by Adrian's side.

He quickly recruited more and more of his old enemies to his side, creating the Pantheon, the new Gods of Earth.

Weaknesses: Even though she's fast, Claudia lacks the durability to take many hits.

Personality: Typically reluctant to brash actions, Proioxis would rather plan out her actions, unless she's coming to the aid of the Pantheon.

Bio:Claudia had a promising future as a hero. A graduate of Novum Saeculum, she quickly proved she was quite capable alongside Adrian Pearson and the rest of their team. Putting away villains such as Armin Glasser, Baraka Kitur, and Raymond Bishop notably among others. She had grand aspirations of becoming renowned and helping save the innocent. However, her naivety made her susceptible to Sol Invictus' pursuasive ideology. He changed her view of the world, made her come to her own realization that humanity wasn't worth saving, at least... not in the way a hero could...

  • The size and strength of Chernobog's umbran constructs are limited by the initial size of the shadow, as he cannot generate shadow's artificially

Personality:Ambitious, and refined, Armin carries himself with an air of superiority. He's arrogant, and sees himself as more intelligent than he really is.

Bio: A British national born with his unusual appearance, Armin was mocked and ridiculed since childhood. At first, he set out to prove himself as an intellectual, but over time, the mockery and distain from his peers wore him down. Finally, Armin snapped. He unleashed a rein of terror, digging into the reaches of his power. He caused entire blocks of cities to go insane before Sol Invictus' old team intervened and gave him an all-expenses paid trip to Tartarus. Armin swore he would get his revenge, but then one night his old enemy appeared at his cell door spouting nonsense about working together...

  • Forge of the Gods- While Svarog cannot produce heat, he has the ability to cause a phenomenon similar to induction heating to metal with tactile contact, or a range of around three feet. Once it is melted, Svarog can control it similar to how a hydrokinetic controls water. This ability also allows him to 'charge' his hammer with molten metal which gives him some measure of telekinetic control over it

Personality: Bold and aggressive, Valter is more akin to a piece of artillery. He cars little for the pain and damage he inflicts, only that its him causing the damage.

Bio: Taking his alias from the Slavic god of fire and forge, Valter destroys practically anything that gets in his path. Svarog is one of the most volatile and destructive villains Russia has ever offered. Whenever he enters the field, a cleanup crew is sure to follow. Beginning his criminal career as a mercenary, Svarog tore through enemy lines, tanks, and bunkers alike. He was never successfully captured by anyone for long, but his equipment was crude, and he eventually took a potentially deadly blow of shrapnel. Then the Pantheon approached, patched him up and offered him new equipment and a team. He accepted, and to this day has no idea who set the trap that injured him.

On Cloven Hooves: Simone has the head and feet of a goat, as shown in her appearance. She's able to kick with hooves and headbutt with horns. Both are surprisingly painful to be on the receiving end of.

L'incassable: Simone can consciously choose to ignore any physical forces that would normally apply to her- gravity, friction, g-force, mass, acceleration, etc. She can make herself immovable, leap extreme distances, or even kill others by striking them and ignoring the laws which say that her attack should stop upon collision. Her most common application is to prevent objects that hit her from transferring the force of the impact to her body- essentially rendering her invincible.

Drawbacks:

Selfish Greed: Simone's power can only be applied to herself and small objects which are extremely close to her skin. Goat physiology aside, this is why she wears so little clothing. The small coverings she does have are easy to affect with her powers, so easy that it can be done without even thinking.

Fine Print: As it is, Simone's power only works with physical forces. As such, energy based attacks, such as fire, lightning, lasers, and others are able to damage her just as much as anyone else.

Strengths: Nearly unkillable, An unstoppable force and immovable object in one fluffy package.
Weaknesses: Hard-countered by specific metas that can make her useless. Gullible, and somewhat easy to distract in battle.

personal Information

Personality: Curious, and slightly dim-witted at times. Simone has been left lonely and outcast due to her appearance, and so she is more separate from human society than most metas would be. Angered by insults and immensely flustered by compliments, the best way to deal with her appearance is to avoid complimenting on it. While on the subject of her appearance, it is the source of her bouts of self-loathing, and she prefers that the focus be placed on her ability to become more or less indestructible. Because of this, she finds herself most drawn to mercenary work with other metas, as they are the ones used to seeing people with such odd appearances.

Simone is religious, having been brought up in a Christian family. This brings her even more distaste for her appearance, as it evokes the cloven hooves and horns of demons much too closely. Her occasional moments of religious expression, such as berating someone for using the lord's name in vain, are a sharp contrast to her normally cold, focused persona. Damn and Hell are acceptable as curse words, however.

English is her second language, so she prefers to converse in French if possible.

Bio: A woman turned to a freak of nature. Simone Walsh's powers altered her appearance irreversibly, making the prospect of remaining in human society downright impossible for her. She fled, and ran, and took whatever she needed whenever she wanted to take it because there was no one who could stop her. As a monstrous metahuman in France, an invitation to the mysterious Cirque d'Enfer was inevitable. She became the group's secret weapon, for good reason. Her powers could be extremely destructive, in direct contrast to her somewhat comedic appearance. And yet, even as a secret weapon, Cirque d'Enfer was like a family.

A family that was destroyed in the events of WWIII. Killed or serving multiple life sentences in prison, every member of Cirque d'Enfer was taken out of commission, except for the one that was impossible to keep held in place. A lonely goat wandering and looking for anybody that would accept her as she was, Simone found her place when a team of supervillains approached her. That group was the Pantheon, and they put on a show of force that convinced her to say yes, or die. And so, Satyr was rechristened Amalthea. And so, she became a Goddess of the Pantheon.

Mission/Goals: To create a world where she won't have to be ridiculed anymore. (Long term). To aid the Pantheon and not die while doing so. (Short term).

Personality: Vlad is a person who tries to be caring at all points, and smiles every opportunity he is able to. He believes that there is an honorable struggle to be good. After the events of recent times, it is becoming harder and harder to do so.

Bio: Vladimir was born to a poor family in Oymyakon, Russia, only kept alive due to his father's job as a merchant, which meant Vlad rarely saw his father in the first place. Eventually, Vlad moved from Oymyakon to St. Petersburg, where he signed up for the military, where he showed great physical and mental promise, only to spend nearly nine months fighting during the Soviet Afghan War, Vladimir was chosen for a secret project, in which he became the last in a short line of guinea pigs experimented upon by the Soviet government, in which they could create Metahumans of their own to use on a potential mass scale. The experiments proved to work on Vlad, giving him the powers he has now, but were quickly shut down afterwards due to insufficient funding. Vladimir spent the next eight years, not only fighting during the Soviet Afghan War, but also to deal with other Metahumans. After the Soviet Afghan war, the Soviet government allowed Vladimir to retire from the military on the condition that he would work as a registered superhero for the government when needed. Even after the fall of the Soviet Union, he continued to work for the Russian government, though he would be monitored by ARGUS. Prior to recent events, Vlad owned a small restaurant in St. Petersburg, where he often cooked for people when not on Hero Duty.

Drawbacks:

Personality: Becoming self-absorbed with his powers, Mabon has a flair for the grandiose, and the need to be admired. He truly sees himself as a god. He has no empathy for humanity or the suffering of others.

Bio: Raised in Rhayader, Wales, Mabon lived a relatively normal childhood, aside from his obviously manifested powers. He was the target of some jokes, but his would-be bullies quickly learned to regret their teasing. His parents and teachers quickly grew alarmed at his behavior after he put three kinds in the hospital. It was simple to Mabon, he was better than they were, stronger they were, he was superior to them. That sentiment landed him in therapy, but he didn't do anything put pay lip service. Eventually, Rees came to the point he couldn't take pretending to be 'human' any more. He left everything behind without another thought. It didn't take long for Invictus to find him, and offer him what he wanted... to be recognized as a god.

Powers:
Smoke Mimicry: Samedi is able to turn from a physical being into a smoky wraith, being completely invulnerable for up to 10 seconds. He cannot harm anyone or manipulate physical objects in this form, but he can more much more quickly and also phase through small passages like bullet holes and ventilation.

Flash StepHe is also able to quickly teleport to a location, but this requires him to stand still for a second as he transports to his target locale, which must be in his sight.
Voodoo:He also possesses the ability to perform voodoo magic, being able to utilise spells within the safety of his home in a lengthy process which can reward him or his target with many things such as wealth, love, luck or strength, or can curse them and weaken them with muscle pains or mood swings and relaying voices.
Telepathy: He can utilise telepathic messages which are often short, but hard hitting, often relaying things such as "Is it really worth it?" or "This is what you're doing with your life?" and other edgy sayings. One of his greatest abilities, though, would be...
Reanimation: bringing someone back to life... at the cost of them becoming a literal zombie which he can mind control.

Rodrigue also wields two custom made tri-barrel shotguns which can be...
Gun Creation: ...summoned and removed at will, allowing him to expend his guns and then drop them, then summon a new, fully loaded pair.

They pack armor piercing incendiary shells that, when fired, give off a blood-red muzzle flash due to strontium chloride being mixed with the black powder inside. On top of that, he also packs a giant 9-inch-long needle than can extract blood and store it in a small vial behind the ivory skull.

Drawbacks: Rodrigue is not completely without weakness, though; he must perform his more powerful voodoo powers in a safe locale since it takes an amount of time to do them; the resurrection spell can take up to 20 minutes to cast upwards, and the zombies usually only last for a month before they become a corpse once more, and obviously the victim must be dead prior. To apply things such as curses and voodoo doll alignment to make the dolls work properly, he must obtain a sample of DNA, mainly flesh or blood.

Strengths: Rodrigue is extremely knowledgeable about the voodoo world and also human psychology, and is also incredibly agile with his weapons on the field.
Weaknesses: His main weakness tends to be his greed, and if he sees something he really likes, he will try as hard as he can to go back for it. He also is not very proficient in melee combat and relies on his guns.

personal Information

Personality: Rodrigue considers himself a professional man, often forerunning shady deals and contacts to work his way into the enemy side, but also isn't afraid to get his hands dirty doing it, and will commit deeds by himself if he needs to. He also has quite murderous tendencies, being the fact that, to keep his claim on his voodoo powers, he must claim souls, and will show no mercy, no matter what his target is, unless they are valuable to him.

Bio: Born in Baton Rogue, Louisiana, USA to a Cajun father and a Hatian-Liberian mother in 1906, Rodrigue grew up managing his mother's voodoo antique store with his brother Marc until he went to fight in WWI and died in 1918 during the Spring Offensive, then leaving Rodriguez to manage his mother's store after she contracted polio and eventually died in 1922, leaving him alone. He was often ridiculed by locals due to his race and also his belief in voodoo religion, which he uses as a platform or an excuse to either dominate or murder people to claim his souls.

He ran the store as usual and had learned to perform magic in order to plant magical spells on items he would sell, and would often seek to other witch doctors and possessors of Vodou artefacts to collect and store for himself, until one day he gained access to his signature wolf-skull mask which contained a group of dark loa. Rodrigue saw the opportunity formed an alliance with them, granting himself power over black magic, which he would regularly use to swindle the desperate and unfortunate citizens of New Orleans—posing as an amoral businessman of sorts.

One day in 1938 he was sniffed out by the FBI and arrested, delaying his major plan to capture the Louisiana governor's soul that resulted in him being dragged into the underworld for about what was about 70 years (but only felt like 10 minutes in his timeframe) until he struck a deal with the Baron Samedi himself; He would kill people and capture their souls regularly through kidnapping and ritual murder, in exchange he would have his trademark powers and also the ability to never age. Now, he roams the American Southwest and commits to heists and reckless, brutal murders in order to please the loa.

Mission/Goals: Claim as many souls as he can to remain immortal.

I like the theme with Rodrigue, but magic is a very slippery slope in an RP setting, so I'm going to hold off on accepting for now. I will need you to list ALL the utilizations of his magic, and stick to that. So, to explain it differently, I need you to list all his abilities as if they were superpowers and just say magic is the explanation behind them. Look at Whatsa's app for an example of what I mean.
