WHEN THEY DIE: A Roleplay RP

We've all had that experience. Things got exciting, your characters were off on an adventure, about to reach the climax, when suddenly... the OP stopped paying attention. Everyone sorta just lost interest. The RP had hit Writer's Block and couldn't advance forward. What was once your favorite RP now lay in ash, closed or abandoned to the test of time.

What if we reopened those RPs, dusted off some of the cobwebs? What if, instead of your characters merely being suspended in time, they were warped through space-time here? I would like to posit this experimental RP, where we take characters from dead RPs and put them into a new story, from the moment everything stopped. Sound fun? Welcome aboard!

A couple orders of business before we continue:

This will get meta. Very meta. It won't happen immediately, but, depending on the levels of interest and activity, you yourself might actually end up directly talking to your character(s). That meta.
In order for a character to qualify, it must either have been part of an RP who, along with all of its reboots and sequels, was either officially closed or went unattended in the IC for at least three months. I want the wave of nostalgia to be pretty strong with this one.
If you have something from, say, a D&D campaign or some other non-NS storyline, I need proof that that story has been abandoned. I will allow for flexible applications to make that the case.
The application process will be different from other RPs. I just want you to create links and verifications to your original character, as shown in the application code below. I will create a "passport" for your character, describing its abilities and disabilities. I'm flexible, and any power level is acceptable, so long as it doesn't break the RP. If you want to make passports yourself, that's fine, but I can and probably will make modifications. Passports require my approval to be valid.
On that note, no godmodding. You can control insignificant NPCs, you can do a lot of things that will affect the story, but you cannot win this RP. Winning is not a thing in this RP.
I do have a story in mind, but your character is free to do whatever he/she wants. Want to pull off a Stanley Parable and run in the opposite direction of where I want you to go? Go ahead.
Only characters will be brought into this RP. There is no room for factions or nations. There are several RPs out there for you if you want to do that.

A brief note to everyone:

If you have a non-individual character (i.e, an NPC or a character from a faction/nation), then you must prove to me that the character is fleshed out enough to exist on its own.

If you know that I know you, and you have a reputation of making really good fleshed-out characters no matter what, then you've already proven to me the above point.

Regardless, all characters will be filtered through the passport system. I will be making judgement regardless, so applying doesn't hurt, so long as your guy doesn't suck.

Edit: To clarify, none of the RPs I've been in lately have been dead for three months yet. However, there seem to be a few that definitely seem to be on their way there, from the looks of it.

Is it fine if it's a character from a non-character RP?

I want to bring our Captain Carol Sundström back, but she hails from a faction-based RP.

If not I'll just bring the brother and sister, Sven and Sammy Jensen. They'll be perfect, since they come from a portal-fiction RP that was only beginning when it died.

I'll allow it, Pizen. I know your work, and I know that that specific character is probably fleshed out well enough to be characters in their own right. Give me applications for the both of them, and I'll make the passports for them if they're good fits.

Brief Summary of What Happened: It was supposed to be a typical Monday morning English class. Ray was late, as usual. Sammy aced her quiz, as usual. A giant portal opened up on the classroom floor and swallowed them all... that certainly wasn't as usual.

One or two months is fine. I've been in RPs that get resurrected after weeks of inactivity, but I can let it slide. I just would like to make sure that it's dead before I give the thumbs-up.

Eh, sure. Just make sure that their immediate backstory is extremely fleshed out. You should know exactly what they were doing and where they were when they were moved here.

Brief Summary of What Happened will NOT be optional for those characters.

Ok. One of them is rather overpowered, but he has a fleshed out backstory. I also have some human characters that I could use as well.

I was thinking of using a recurring character that I was fond of using in multiple RPs back when I was a teenager and first posting to the site. However, there are a couple things I would need to clear first:

1. Would it be okay if the character spent an indefinite amount of time in semi-aware RP "limbo" rather than instantly going from the end of his last RP to his current state? I ask for two reasons. Firstly, because the character was a recurring character with multiple backstories who I stopped using five years ago, and I often changed the spelling of his name or used an anagram instead, it's essentially impossible to determine what he was last doing. Secondly, the character was a huge fucking edgelord, and an arbitrarily large time skip would allow for some "mellowing out" through character development.

2. Would it be okay if the character started out aware of the fourth wall and the existence of the author? He's a (demi-)god associated with chaos and unrestrained freedom, and I think the idea of him realizing that he's entirely powerless and just a puppet of a being infinitely more powerful than him, and resultantly wallowing in impotent rage, could be a good way to make him a more interesting character.
