But, with rising tensions in Europe and Asia, it seems inevitable that the empire may soon find itself again in the field of battle. Though the battle came with an unexpected enemy, the Empire collapses, with a new Regime taking form.

Basic History: At the beginning of WWI, morale was high as the German people worked with Austria-Hungary to invade Serbia. Their first invasion failed, and they were getting heavy losses on the Eastern and Western fronts. Germany was outnumbered and out manufactured. They held on until 1918, however, they were slightly more successful in the war, but that didn't matter, as their economic and land terms were still as crushing as real life. The Weimar Republic was formed, however, it was an unstable state, dominated by radical factions. Adolf Hitler became the leader of the Nazi Party, and eventually became chancellor, then with laws enforced by him and the ruthless members of his party, all control was effectively ceded to Hitler and the Nazi Party.

His party began to reform the systems of government and shut down all opposition to keep the power in the firm hands of the Nazi Party. Other right-wing organizations were merged forcefully into the Nazi Party, and Hitler gained support with propaganda, and his fiery speeches and elaborate parades and marches rallying the German people onto the side of the Nazi Party. The nation's military was expanded, and German industries were expanded. This is where the RP begins. I hope this was decent background knowledge.

The United Kingdom has been in a depression for the past 19 years and is struggling to mantain all of it's colonies under it's rule. With the growing threat from the Japanese in the Pacific, England has put military forces in the region on standby. Winston Churchill is beginning to prepare his campaign for Prime Minister. The United States turn to slight fascism has startled political officials in the United Kingdoms government and they are hoping that the United States will remain neutral. Oswald Mosley and his followers have begun to commit acts of vandalism and fascism in England and the police and military have had to put down several riots. Parliament officials have funded factories to start producing military equipment for the RA, RAF, and RN.

In 1933, the business coup to overthrow American Democracy and replace it with a Fascist/Corporatist Regime succeeds. The country is initially lead by a council made up of various businessmen, various right-wing officials and leaders, and later (to gain further support and appease them) various leading members of the military. At first support for the coup was high, as various civilians, seeing how Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany were doing, thought that it would lead to good. This support would quickly drop as most of the council would implement very unpopular new laws, such as giving large swaths of land to various corporations and setting up death and labour camps for various "inferior races" like Jews and Blacks. Eventually, the military (who had constantly been overruled in matters by other parts of the council) lead by Chief of Staff General Douglas MacArthur, supported by the police, several other political entities and most of the population would lead a counter-coup, overthrowing the council and putting in place a military junta led by MacArthur, declaring himself Temporary Provisional Dictator until the crisis was over.

Soon MacArthur (increasing funding for both the military and the police, nearly bankrupting the country) would make sure that the military's (and his) power remains unchallenged, as he went out to remove major rivals. In the span of a year, he would continue and complete the campaigns of the previous regime, destroying any and all Communist and Major-Democratic Resistance. He would also proceed to seize all assets of the various corporations and businesses that took part in the coup, and even corporations that hadn't, taking all their manufacturing capabilities and their vast wealth. He would also purge the many Nationalist Socialist and Race-Hate Groups from government and from US Society (like the Black Legion, the KKK, the Silver Legion, and the Friends of New Germany Organisation, some of these members would later escape and join MacArthur), killing their leaders and many of their followers. Soon, MacArthur's position in power would be secured. MacArthur would then proceed to repay the debts he used to pay for the army and police and then implement many popular reforms and new projects, increasing funding on welfare, setting up many new building projects, repelling the Prohibition Act, reforming the banks and more (hey, when you basically just looted the entire wealth of every corporation in the US (eg: Ford, Coca-Cola, etc), you tend to have some spending money). Though at the same time he would also make some controversial reforms, including equality for blacks and women, though because of his purgings of many Race-Hate and various other groups not many opposed and those that remained were too scared to act.

Soon, unemployment steadily dropped, and the country would once again prosper. In 1935 as the "crisis" was finally over, MacArthur would officially step down from power and hold elections. MacArthur's first proclamation as President would be to reform the United States into the United Republic of American Patriots and declare a New Military Fascist Order with him as President for an unspecified amount of time, which would not only be met with little opposition, but applause from the masses. That same year, MacArthur would authorise War Plan Tan. Initially covering an intervention in Cuba, War Plan Tan was now expanded to cover the whole of the Caribbean. Claiming that the URAP had intercepted British and French messages calling for an invasion of the Caribbean, as well as citing growing Communist influence in the Caribbean, especially Cuba (now under the rule of Fulgencio Batista, who had several Communists in government positions), the URAP launched a mass “intervention” into the Caribbean, securing island nations like Haiti quickly.

Claiming that the URAP had intercepted British and French messages calling for an invasion of the Caribbean, as well as citing growing Communist influence in the Caribbean, especially Cuba (now under the rule of Fulgencio Batista, who had several Communists in government positions), the URAP launched a mass “intervention” into the Caribbean, securing island nations like Haiti quickly.

The “intervention” in Cuba would be harder, as despite per part of the Cuban Constitution giving the US (or URAP now) the right to intervene in Cuba, many Communists and Right-Wingers resisted the occupation. Soon the URAP would flex it’s new military muscle, fighting against the new resistance group naming themselves the “United Cuba Liberation Front,” made up of Communists, other Radicals and even some battalions of the Cuban Army in a savage guerilla War. On the eve of 1936, Cuba would finally be pacified, giving the URAP it’s very first victory. But MacArthur would not be done yet, as he would secretly support the Communists in Mexico. Soon the Communists would launch a coup, overthrowing the government in Mexico and replacing it with a Communist Regime. The government, not knowing about the URAP’s involvement in the coup, would ask the URAP for help. MacArthur would “accept,” and authorise War Plan Green: the Invasion of Mexico. Soon the URAP army (many now veterans from their war in Cuba), would flood into Mexico. The war would last for over two years, with the Communist Mexican Army fighting very bravely and without fear. However facing the full might of the American Industrial Giant, a better well trained and well equipped veteran army, and a technologically superior force, it was only a matter of time. In 1937, the Mexican Commuist Regime would officially surrender. The URAP would occupy the country to “protect” the country until a suitable government was chosen. The occupation was supposed to last for 4 months. The occupation would continue far longer than 4 months.

Now the URAP had finally established itself as a military, economic and military powerhouse, as celebrations would last for over a week. The UPAR would continue to grow, rebuilding Mexico and further expanding it’s military, industry and infrastructure. The URAP would send troops to support the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War, fighting alongside Germans and Italians for the first time. Now, I’m 1939, the URAP stands as a formidable power on the world stage.

Basic History: At the beginning of WWI, morale was high as the German people worked with Austria-Hungary to invade Serbia. Their first invasion failed, and they were getting heavy losses on the Eastern and Western fronts. Germany was outnumbered and out manufactured. They held on until 1918, however, they were slightly more successful in the war, but that didn't matter, as their economic and land terms were still as crushing as real life. The Weimar Republic was formed, however, it was an unstable state, dominated by radical factions. Adolf Hitler became the leader of the Nazi Party, and eventually became chancellor, then with laws enforced by him and the ruthless members of his party, all control was effectively ceded to Hitler and the Nazi Party.

His party began to reform the systems of government and shut down all opposition to keep the power in the firm hands of the Nazi Party. Other right-wing organizations were merged forcefully into the Nazi Party, and Hitler gained support with propaganda, and his fiery speeches and elaborate parades and marches rallying the German people onto the side of the Nazi Party. The nation's military was expanded, and German industries were expanded. This is where the RP begins. I hope this was decent background knowledge.
