I feel like 5 pages are a lot... what about, like 2? Or 1?

We'll try five for now and if that doesn't work we'll alter it. thus far each day lasts 20 pages- 15 pages of daylight and 5 of night with night being skipped only if all player characters are asleep. Every three days a new antagonist or malevolent visitor will arrive on the island.

Kind of short but I hope these are good.

Amethyst Lufiel
-An elf girl living with her little brother along the river in small cottage outside of the town. Their parents both died of a mysterious illness when they were younger and she's had to get by little by little ever since. She occasionally picks up odd jobs in town and grows her own small set of crops to eat. She's generally gentle, sweet and overall very friendly to everyone she meets.-

Almon Lufiel
-The little brother of Amethyst. He's young still and aspires to be a great swordsman one day! He's a handful and truly keeps his older sister on her toes with how energetic he is. His inner warrior spirit makes him protective of his house and home and most importantly, his sister who cares for him.

It could be a magic lab. *nod*

Yes. Hm. That could work. Let me think for a moment.

My original concept of the lab is that it was made by some scientists as some sort of super-secret questionable experiment. I even have a reason why his name is Terry. Though, I guess he could be made by alchemists or scientist-wannabes in this setting.

The island does have a resident mage- I'd say we left modern science behinid long ago.

That would be waaaay too short. As is, I'm concerned that 20 pages per day might be rushed, but I'll wait and see how this works out before saying anything. It's still the first page, after all.

The Island mage is doing alchemy- why not a mage? They made owl bears in D&D.

I was thinking more of a group of mages, perhaps a pair of colleague's, not a singular one.

Lanme is in the market for an apprentice, maybe the new mages can stop by...or we can just hang out as mages. I may change my pirate for a witch instead...not sure.

Elmre Aumtheodore

Elmre Aumtheodore comes from a race of elves from a far away kingdom that Elmre claims is now renamed as a "brand" of orange juice, originally called Soncast. While he is at the height of 5'7, he claims that he isn't the tallest elf in his kingdom. Elmre Aumtheodore sees himself as an adventurer traveling through several lands, some of which seem to sound like they don't exist, though Elmre could be exaggerating. What Elmre wasn't exaggerating however, was a tale of being called upon a random bearded stranger who asks for him to throw a ring of mystical power into a volcano for the purpose of preventing the forces of evil from rising. Of course, naturally, Elmre assumed the stranger was crazy and proceeded to punch the guy in the face, including tossing the ring into a river.

On Soncast, a random citizen claims to have invented a new philosophy called "capitalism", which Elmre didn't really understood, until he noticed people renaming themselves as drinks, such as water or cranberry juice. Wanting to explore the rest of the world, seeing he was already gotten weird out that people were doing a new trend that he didn't get along with, he started to enjoy the world as a self-proclaimed adventurer. Stowing away on trade boats, at first, he proceeded to make his own boat and started to set sail on the seas. However, growing impatient that his boat wasn't moving fast enough, he accidentally discovered that he can make the boat almost fly by adding multiple sails at once. This seemed to work, until Elmre got caught in a freak tidal wave that completely destroyed his boat. Now stranded on a piece of driftwood, floating on the current, he finds himself on an island that seems to have many mysteries.

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. Her father has recently passed of illness, and she has taken up the business. She currently hosts the amnesiac Ringabell, and has grown rather attached to him in his few months living with her. She also cares for her aged mother Abi.

It looks good but- I was under the impression that everyone knows about you at the Manor- that's why I mentioned it in the brief on Melody in the OP- and also why Lindan was dared to knock on the door. In short- people know where Melody is- they choose to stay away for obvious reasons....

Well, if everybody has stayed away from the manor, Melody might not realize the town knows where she's hiding. And Likar seemed to imply that it was still just rumors about her living there.

Also, have we decided what sort of government the island has, if any? Since the manor house is abandoned, maybe it could have been a colony of a larger nation at one point, but was eventually abandoned, or neglected until it became de facto independent. For that to happen it would probably have to be very isolated, like Tristan da Cunha.

A name for the island would also be good. Perhaps Saint-Exupéry, after the author? He wrote an interesting book about exploration.

Well... at the moment.... the island is part of Marinea (Mare-in-Ai) ... there was a discussion regarding this last night and it resulted in some kind of - something. Andsed can provide more details along with Likar if they'd like to do so. I forgot to put all that down in the OP as I'm still not fully on top of what was decided. I think it's a colony- but again I don't know.

Well we actually had a discussion about this kind of thing yesterday. We decided the island would be a colony of a larger nation but would be pretty independent being able to set up a private milltia and govern their own internal affairs. Think of the American colonies before the seven year war. Basically the island is able to govern itself mostly but it has to say pay taxes and answer to Marinea.
I do be tired
