This is what I believe is the government:

A absolute monarchy, which persecutes vampire and is biased against them. They have been known to persecute them, as in a "faraway land", they have the stereotype of blood sucking animals. They are persecuted into low income area's, and are forced to work anything from low payed barbers, and illegal mafia members.

The monarchy has a queen, and have killed many who are quote on quote "enemies of the state". Though in the countryside, liberal and vampire rebels are attempting to overthrow them

To clarify a bit more on Scathos it is an absolute monarchy but treats it islands colonies similar to how our island is treated. Now while they are militaristic and not exactly nice to races like vampires they are surprisingly progressive with things like gender and religion. The kingdom while brutal to it's foes is a stable system with a decent size professional army and a economy which while not being a economic powerhouse is strong and currently starting to thrive and prosper.

If it's alright, I think I'll change it so that my character has only been on the island a month or so.

As for where she came from, I didn't give it much thought, but if this is set in the Renaissance, I imagine vampires would be treated about like witches were, with hunts and everything. Maybe I'll think about something more detailed.

Sounds interesting. However, can I still add more, like another Kingdom, or something else?

Well it's - to clarify- no the renaissance era- that's just the closest tech wise I can compare the world to. It has guns, monarchies, bows- as far as I know Gunpowered ended the Midieval era and started the Renaissance by making the armored knight obsolete while the Crossbow made trained bowman a thing of the past by allowing even a novice to shoot accurately. So- yeah that's the tech. This isn't the real world just- tech is what I mean not culture. The culture seems to be- diverse and this certainly isn't Earth.

You'll need to create a character before you can add more to the setting :)

You can certainly be a male. Nothing says they have to be female ^_^

I was simply trying to express that it's a bit lonely being the only sea dragon under the island- let alone one that doesn't really have a family so any addition is welcomed. Since you want to be one that is older I - may have - jumped the broom stick proposing a familial relation. But right now your character would the closest to family Seraphina has and I feel Seraphina would benefit from some kinship- even if it's just your character looking after her- being a paternal figure.

Ok post up now if your part of the militia you choose if your character is on active duty or is in reserve. Though every week or so 5 men are sent into reserve and 5 men are brought into active. So I will roll a dice to see if one of your characters is brought in or just an npc. Also I gave the militia 11 muskets is that okay? I also plan to give my character a pistol if that is okay. If any of you have a problem with any of this let me know.

I like the dice and approve the armaments. You may want to check with the innkeeper.

Actually, what about the Innkeeper?

Well he chooses if he wants to be in the active or reserve part of the militia. Now if he is rotated into the active part if he chooses reserve well he may have to hire some help. Seeing as there would be no way for my character to get a draft up for the militia he would of have to of enlisted so the inkeeper IC knew what he was doing. Now OOC if the player has a problem I am sure we can work it out.

Edit: Also active members of the militia player or not I will roll for to see if they go to reserve or not. if a player feels like they have stayed to long in the active militia they may let me know and I will rotate them out.
