That being said, while peaking the population cap is great, it means I only get a head start until the peak gets raised, thus only a minor boost preventing me from Romaning the entire globe. I wonder if I must create a mini Latin League to properly expand at that point.

Population cap? I wasn't aware there was one, not that I would be encountering it quickly anyway

The Scottish and Roman is for style and naming, military industrial culture is how things will operate mainly, and the tengri-ish faith is for the eventual arrival that they begin to believe that the things they make have spirits in them, cut a limb from a tree and the spirit of the tree will split into 2, thus a bow would logically carry a soul. Ultimately it would bring "machine gods" and "machine spirits".
Thinking that my magic would rely upon enchanting gear, rather than casting cliche fireball spells. Since my tribe will carry a heavy reliance on industry and power, and view magic itself rather skeptically, only accepting the magic of the Spirit-Masters into their society. With that and a potential to breed dragons I could be a tribe that one would not trifle with.

Hmm, spears would do little to a dragon, but if the dragon thing doesn't pan out, then yeah you would be the major threat/most respected tribe to Clan Bryre.
What magic are you going for G? Or is that a secret?
